Abstract

The population of cattle in the village of cliffs of high rank has enormous potential. This capacity is very good if used in the manufacture of organic fertilizer because in general cow dung waste has not been processed and utilized properly by the people of the village of cliffs of high rank. Agricultural activities of the high-ranking cliff village community which continuously result in the use of chemical fertilizers continue to increase, thus the use of organic fertilizers is an alternative in reducing community dependence in using chemical fertilizers in agriculture. The objectives of this community service are, 1) to carry out socialization and training to the community, 2) to understand more about the manufacturing procedure, the tools used, the materials used, how to use them on plants, and the benefits of manure. cows as an environmentally friendly organic fertilizer. The results of this dedication show that the manufacture of organic fertilizer requires the addition of materials, namely sawdust, rice water, coconut water, and brown sugar solution with the aim of increasing the nutrients of organic fertilizer. The application of organic fertilizers on agricultural land can reduce the manufacture of chemical fertilizers, but can improve the nutrients in the soil. Abundant cow dung is a great result for fixing nutrients in soils that are already highly dependent on chemical fertilizers. Therefore, the manufacture of organic fertilizers needs to be continuously disseminated to the community, especially farmers in rural areas who lack information and technology. This is possible through activities, knowledge and training. This service program is carried out using two methods, namely: face-to-face socialization, the practice of making organic fertilizers.

Abstract

Gulma jajagoan (Echinochloa crus-galli) dapat menyebabkan penurunan produksi padi sawah dan sudah dilaporkan resisten terhadap beberapa herbisida. Tujuan review artikel ini sebagai informasi awal yang dapat dijadikan alternatif pengendalian gulma jajagoan (E. crus-galli) yang sudah mengalami resisten herbisida pada areal pertanaman padi sawah. Hasil review menginformasikan bahwa gulma E. crus-galli tergolong toleran pada berbagai kondisi iklim, memiliki jumlah biji yang melimpah mengakibatkan populasinya selalu hadir di areal persawahan dan menimbulkan kerugian produksi padi sawah jika tidak dikendalikan, bahkan gulma ini sudah resisten terhadap beberapa herbisida. Upaya pengelolaan gulma E. crus-galli resisten-herbisida menyarankan menggunakan mode of action herbisida baik secara tunggal atau campuran sebagai manajemen resisten dan diharapkan dapat memutus siklus resisten di areal persawahan.

Abstract

Karet adalah suatu komoditi perkebunan utama di dunia yang memiliki potensi yang cukup besar. Daerah Kabupaten Labuhanbatu Selatan memiliki begitu banyak perusahaan-perusahaan karet yang telah berkembang, salah satunya yaitu pada PT. PP. London Sumatra (LONSUM) Indonesia, Tbk Sei Rumbia Labuhanbatu Selatan. Perusahaan ini membudidayakan tanaman karet dengan output berupa pada lump serta dry lateks. Lateks inilah yang kemudian diolah di pabrik dan menjadikan suatu lembaran-lembaran karet (rubber sheet). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan manajemen sistem pengolahan lateks di PT. PP. London Sumatra (LONSUM) Indonesia, Tbk Sei Rumbia Rubber Factory, Kecamatan Kotapinang, Kabupaten Labuhanbatu Selatan. Penelitian ini dilakukan mulai Januari hingga Maret 2021. Data penelitian yang digunakan adalah data primer yang diperoleh melalui wawancara langsung dengan staf serta menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, usaha pengolahan lateks karet pada PT. PP. London Sumatra (LONSUM) Indonesia, Tbk Sei Rumbia Labuhanbatu Selatan sudah layak diusahakan dan memberi keuntungan pada faktor lingkungan, serta menunjukkan prospek positif dalam pengembangan industri kedepan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan unutuk dapat mengetahui beberapa sifat kimia tanah di desa Silumajang dusun Montong kecamatan NA IX-X kabupaten Labuhanbatu Utara. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan januari 2022 sampai dengan Februari 2022. Pengambilan sample tanah dari 4 titik sampel pada kedalaman 0-20 cm berjarak 100 meter di lahan dengan menggunakan metode random pada titik yang sudah ditentukan, sampel tanah kemudian dianalisis di laboratorium. Data yang dikumpulkan untuk mengetahui sifat kimia tanah yaitu yaitu pH tanah, N-Kjehldahl, P-Tersedia (Metode Bray II), K-Total, Kation-kation Basa Dapat Ditukar. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pH tanah (sangat masam), N-Kjehldahl (tergolong rendah), P-Tersedia (Metode Bray II) (sangat masam), K-Total (tergolong tinggi), Kation-kation Basa Dapat Ditukar (Ca dan Mg) (sangat rendah).

Abstract

Minyak kelapa sawit memegang peranan penting dalam perdagangan dunia. Standar kualitas adalah merupakan hal yang penting untuk menentukan minyak yang mempunyai kualitas yang bermutu baik berdasarkan spesifikasi yang meliputi kadar ALB, air, dan zat pengotor oleh sebab itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai kadar air, kadar kotoran dan asam lemak bebas (ALB) yang terkandung dalam inti kelapa sawit. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada PT. HARI SAWIT JAYA. Sampel yang digunakan adalah kernel atau inti sawit. Analisa kadar asam lemak bebas dilakukan dengan metode titrasi asam basa menggunakan larutan standar KOH dan indikator Tymol blue, metode oven untuk analisa kadar air, dan untuk analisa kadar kotoran menggunakan   metode   winnowing   atau   dipilih   dengan   tangan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan diketahui Hasil analisa untuk kadar Asam Lemak Bebas (ALB) pada kernel palm yang berasal dari kernel storage adalah 4,10 % , 4,32% , 4,41% dengan rata-rata 4,28%, Kadar air pada kernel palm yang berasal dari kernel storage adalah 0,343%, 0,342%, 0,377 dengan rata-rata 0,35%, Sedangkan untuk kadar zat pengotor pada kernel palm yang berasal dari kernel storage adalah 0,02%, 0,06%, 0,08% dengan rata-rata 0,05%. kadar kotoran, kadar air pada kernel dan kadar asam lemak bebas tersebut telah sesuai standar yang telah ditetapkan SNI-01-2901- 2006.

Abstract

This community service activity is carried out through the use of liquid organic fertilizer made from bamboo shoots. Bamboo shoots are a food ingredient that is quite popular in the community. Impressed with vegetables, bamboo shoots, which are often known as bung (Javanese), have been used by rural people since ancient times as a cooking ingredient, especially for making vegetables. Apart from being used as vegetables, bamboo shoots can be used to make liquid organic fertilizer (POC). In addition, bamboo shoots contain the hormone giberellin, so that they can stimulate plant growth quickly. Because bamboo shoots contain gibberellins, liquid organic fertilizer from bamboo shoots functions to stimulate plant vegetative growth. Therefore efforts are made to increase knowledge in the community so that later it can reduce dependence or farmers on the use of chemical fertilizers.

Abstract

Oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq) is a plantation crop that has an important role in advancing the economy and agriculture in Indonesia. This can be proven by the increase in the standard of living of farmers who experience an increase in area and production every year. The challenge of increasing the area of oil palm plantations apart from the limited available land is also the attack of plant-disturbing organisms (OPT), particularly pests. The increasing use of large-scale land for oil palm cultivation in Indonesia has increased the amount of monoculture land that is favorable for pest development. Field Work Practice Activities (PKL) carried out at PT. Supra Matra Abadi (SMA) Aek Nabara, Bilah Hulu District, Labuhanbatu Regency, Postal Code (21462) This activity was carried out for four months, starting from 21 February - 21 July 2022. Conducting survey research on horn beetle populations and treatment areas Before conducting research, it is necessary to find a place to area of young plants, immature plants which are often attacked by horn beetles either in one block or several blocks. After that, a place was determined for each level of treatment. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) method with 3 treatment levels, including: 1. Control/without polydor pesticide treatment 2. Spraying polydor pesticide with a dose of 150 cc/pkk 3. Spraying polydor pesticide dose 160 cc/pkk research using 3 In repetition at each level of treatment, spraying polydor pesticide using a concentration of 1% on the outside and inside. Observations were analyzed with variance at the 5% significance level. To find out the differences between treatments, the DMRT test was used with a significant level of 5%. Based on research results at PT. It can be concluded that the insecticide treatment polydor 150cc/pkk and 160cc/pkk on afd IV was very effective in controlling horn beetle attacks.Kelapa sawit (Elaeis guineensis Jacq) merupakan tanaman perkebunan yang memiliki peran penting dalam memajukan perekonomian dan pertanian di Indonesia. Hal ini dapat dibuktikan dengan meningkatnya taraf hidup petani yang mengalami peningkatan luas dan produksi setiap tahunnya. Tantangan peningkatan luas perkebunan kelapa sawit selain keterbatasan lahan yang tersedia juga merupakan serangan organisme pengganggu tumbuhan (OPT), khususnya hama. Meningkatnya penggunaan lahan skala besar untuk budidaya kelapa sawit di Indonesia telah meningkatkan jumlah lahan monokultur yang menguntungkan bagi perkembangan hama. Kegiatan Praktek Kerja Lapang (PKL) yang dilaksanakan di PT. Supra Matra Abadi (SMA) Aek Nabara Kecamatan Bilah Hulu Kabupaten Labuhanbatu Kode Pos (21462) Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama empat bulan yaitu mulai tanggal 21 Februari – 21 Juli 2022. Melakukan penelitian survey populasi kumbang tanduk dan daerah perlakuan Sebelum melakukan penelitian, perlu dicari tempat untuk tanaman muda, tanaman belum menghasilkan yang sering diserang kumbang tanduk baik dalam satu blok maupun beberapa blok. Setelah itu, ditentukan tempat untuk setiap tingkat perlakuan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 taraf perlakuan, antara lain: 1. Kontrol/tanpa perlakuan pestisida polydor 2. Penyemprotan pestisida polydor dengan dosis 150 cc/pkk 3. Penyemprotan pestisida polydor dosis 160 cc/pkk menggunakan 3 Di ulangi pada setiap tingkat perlakuan, penyemprotan pestisida polydor menggunakan konsentrasi 1% di bagian luar dan dalam. Pengamatan dianalisis dengan varians pada tingkat signifikansi 5%. Untuk mengetahui perbedaan antar perlakuan digunakan uji DMRT dengan taraf nyata 5%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian di PT. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa perlakuan insektisida polydor 150cc/pkk dan 160cc/pkk pada afd IV sangat efektif dalam mengendalikan serangan kumbang tanduk.

Abstract

This research was carried out in the agricultural field of the University of Harbor. The research began from March to June sky research (Cucumis Mello L) to determine the effect of giving fertilizers and goats and cultivating land on the growth and production of melon sky rocket varieties (Cucumis Mello L). This study used a Factorial Randomized Block Design (RCBD) with 2 factors examined and repeated 3 times. Goat MANURE (K) fertilizer dosing factor consists of 3 levels, namely: K0 = No treatment, K1 = 1 kg / Plot and K2 = 2 kg / Plot. The inhalation factor (G) consists of 3 levels, namely G0 = Tanpaper treatment, G1 = 1cc / L water / plot and G2 = 2cc / L water / plot. The administration of goat manure significantly affects the observation of plant height, number of branches, fruit weight, number of plots and the weight of plots. The application of ZPT has a significant effect on the observation of plant height and number of branches but has no significant effect on observing the weight of fruit per plots, the number of plots and the weight of per seed. Abstract

Lemongrass (Cymbopogon nardus L.) better known as lemongrass or citronella grass or citronella grass is a type of grass from the order Gramiales which is typical of tropical areas of Asia. But this citronella plant is also a plantation crop that has the potential to be developed in Indonesia. And this research has been carried out in my home plantation area in February – April 2022. This study aims to find out the effect of fertilizing goat cage and soil on the growth and results of circular plants. The application of goat manure and soil 2:1 showed the best in increasing the number of tillers, root fresh weight, crown fresh weight, leaf fresh weight, root dry weight, shoot dry weight, plant height and number of leaf blades. then the second best results were followed by goat manure and 1:1 soil which was best in increasing the number of tillers, root fresh weight, leaf fresh weight, root dry weight, crown fresh weight, canopy dry weight, number of leaves and height. plants. Abstract

SADINAR POHAN : The Response of Farmer’s Basimbah Organic Fertilizer to the Growth of Upland Rice of Inpago 8 Varieties, supervised by Ibu NOVILDA ELIZABETH AMUSTAMU,S.,PT.M.Si and Bapak FITRA SYAWAL HARAHAP.SP.,M.Agr. This study aims to study the Response of Farmer’s Basimbah Organic Fertilizer to the Growth of Upland Rice of Inpago 8 Varieties. This research was conducted in the village of promise, Bilahbarat district, Labuhanbatu Regency from March 2021 to June 2021. The experimental method used wan non-factorial and 3 replications. The data obtained were analyzed using a variance test and continued with the Duncan distance test. The results showed that the application of farmer basimbah organic fertilizer at a dose of 5 g/polybaeng was able to increase plants aged 5-7 wap, plat heigt, number of tillers, root vilume. The response of the application of basimbah organic fertilizer has a significant effect on all parameters.Keywords : upland rice, organic fertilizer, inpago 8
