Abstract

Mahasiswa perantauan sering menghadapi tantangan dalam menyesuaikan diri dengan kehidupan akademik dan sosial di lingkungan baru. Salah satu dampak yang sering dialami adalah homesickness, yang dapat memengaruhi kondisi sosial dan psikologis mereka, seperti kehilangan motivasi, kesepian, isolasi sosial, stres akademik, dan depresi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merepresentasikan dampak negatif homesickness melalui karya seni lukis beraliran Realisme. Pengalaman pribadi dan observasi terhadap teman sejawat menjadi dasar dalam penciptaan karya ini. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode L.H. Chapman yang telah dimodifikasi, terdiri dari tiga tahap: permulaan, penyempurnaan, dan penyelesaian. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah enam karya lukis beraliran Realisme berjudul No More Dream, Tiba-Tiba Sendiri, Aku Aneh, Katanya, Feeling Blue, Day by Day, dan Orang-Orang Ku. Karya-karya ini menggambarkan berbagai aspek emosional dan psikologis dari homesickness dengan pendekatan visual yang mendalam dan detail.

Abstract

A sense of love, belonging and pride in the culture of the Nusantara must still be grown in every Indonesian citizen. This is to strengthen their identity as a Nusantara nation so as not to be uprooted from their cultural roots. This is also no exception for the students of the Riyadh Indonesian School (SIR) in Saudi Arabia. The strategies to encourage this sense of love, belonging and pride include art appreciation activities and art creations for the Nusantara's cultural arts to them in a way that is implemented in the overseas community service program from LPPM State University of Malang. To achieve the results of these activities such as workshops and training methods are applied which include the following methods: (1) The presentation with the theme of fostering insight to SIR students (Sekolah Indonesia Riyadh), (2) The Demonstration method for creating Nusantara fine arts, (3) Discussion and evaluation of the results of activities and implementation of activities, (4) Analysis of the results of appreciation activities and creations of Nusantara fine arts that have been carried out by students as program targets. The results of this activity are expected that the students will have an understanding of the importance of loving through the act of appreciation and creation of Nusantara cultural arts as Indonesians. On the other hand, the students have the ability and technical experience in creating, especially in the field of Nusantara fine arts which is achieved through training activities to create fine arts.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian, yaitu: (1) untuk memahami proses pembuatan batik di Sanggar Batik Sayu Wiwit. (2) untuk memahami hasil visual motif batik di Sanggar Batik Sayu Wiwit. (3) untuk memahami makna motif batik Banyuwangi di Sanggar Batik Sayu Wiwit. Penelitian menekankan pada pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian, yaitu: (1) proses pembuatan batik meliputi, (a) persiapan alat dan bahan; (b) pengolahan kain; (c) pemotongan kain; (d) pemindahan pola batik pada kain (mola atau nyorek); (e) pencantingan pertama (ngelowong, membatik cap, nerusi, dan ngisen-isen); (f) pewarnaan pertama (teknik colet); (g) pencantingan kedua (nemboki); (h) pewarnaan kedua (teknik celup); (i) pemberian water glass; (j) pelorodan batik; (k) pencucian dan penjemuran batik; (l) finishing batik. (2) motif batik Banyuwangi secara visual memiliki nilai seni tinggi yang di dalamnya terdapat unsur-unsur visual, prinsip-prinsip visual, perpaduan corak, dan unsur penyusun bentuk motif yang menjadikan batik terlihat indah. (3) dari semua motif batik Banyuwangi mempunyai makna bahwa manusia harus bersinergi dalam hubungan antara manusia dengan manusia, hubungan antara manusia dengan alam, serta hubungan antara manusia dengan Tuhannya. Batik Banyuwangi menyiratkan suatu pesan agar manusia saling toleransi, saling menghargai, saling merangkul antar semua golongan masyaraka, mengasihi antar umat serta status manusia yang berbeda.

Abstract

This article describes a strategy for preserving local cultural values through the Sandur Manduro performing art in Gesing Hamlet, Manduro Village, Jombang, East Java. The research subject is the Sandur Panji Arum association, led by Rifain, which consistently strives to preserve and develop this traditional performing art. The study aims to recommend the integration of Sandur Manduro into both formal and informal art education as a sustainable effort to maintain local cultural values. Sandur Manduro holds significant potential as an effective dance art education material to strengthen the identity and local cultural values among students in Jombang. Using a qualitative case study approach, this research analyzes the strategies employed by the Sandur Panji Arum association in transmitting knowledge and practices of Sandur performing art to the community, especially school-aged children and adolescents. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with Rifa'in and association members, and analysis of related documents. The findings indicate the active role of the Sandur Manduro performing art's revitalization in instilling noble values, including togetherness, cooperation, and local wisdom, embedded within Sandur Manduro performances.

Abstract

Ceramic material landscape statue design process with “Mother and Children Harvesting Oranges” theme has purpose to strengthen Selorejo village potential as tourism village. Activity was done through PPDM LP2M UM Village Partnership Program to drive partner community creativity. Program method includes preparation, application, and evaluation. (1) Preparation includes coordination with local tourism village administrators to produce concept and design of artistic landscape statue artwork by using terracotta ceramic, cement and sand. (2) Application includes preparation of tool and material for statue artwork creation process through collaborative work between PPDM UM team and village tourism administrator team, until displaying process in tourism object and artwork finishing. (3) evaluation is by searching feedback critics by PPDM LP2M UM team and village partner to the creative activity, and this evaluation result is used as improvement tool. This activity produce one set of landscape statue artwork which displayed in Selorejo tourism village region which is located in Dau subdistrict, Malang regency.

Abstract

Padusan Pacet Mojokerto Village has pioneered the development of a tourism village based on natural and cultural environments. The tourism village managers realize that to innovate in the region requires technical knowledge and experience. The creative art team from fine arts lecturers at Malang State University who are members of the community service program, have solved the problem, through a regional partnership program. Namely by creating visual icons created from sources of ideas for cultural artifacts from the Majapahit era. In order to strengthen these creations, they also strengthen the visual image of the Padusan tourism village. To achieve this, creative art methods are needed, including: (a.) Planning a terracotta vase creation program by the UM campus creative team together with the Padusan tourism village management team regarding the formulation of the terracotta vase product concept, (b.) The creative process of designing terracotta vase design drawings (c.) The process of production and display of terracotta vase creations. (d.) Analysis of the creative results of the exterior terracotta vases of the Padusan tourism village.

Abstract

Desa Petungsewu Dau Malang perlu penataan taman kawasan di rest area desa wisata yang unik dengan kehijauan tumbuhan yang dapat memperkuat citra rintisan desa wisata berbasis alam lokal. Namun mereka tidak memiliki pengetahuan dan kemampuan teknis dalam mewujukannya. Diperlukan kegiatan kreatif berbasis artistik kolaboratif bersama desa mitra dengan perguruan tinggi, untuk meecahkan persoalan tersebut. Tim kreatif dosen seni rupa UM telah melakukan kegiatan kreatif berupa rancangan dan pembuatan garden vertikal figuratif untuk disajikan pada kawasan desa tersebut. Kegiatan ini untuk mendorong kreatifitas masyarakat sasaran program dalam mengembangkan desa wisata degan sajian yang menarik dan unik. Untuk mencapainya perlu ditetapkan metode kreatif kolaboratif dalam pembuatan/vertical garden. Metode tersebut meliputi: (a) koordinasi tim pelaksana program wilayah mitra sebagai pengguna serta penyiapan SDM dari desa mitra, (b) rumusan konsep perancangan IPTEKS untuk diterapkan di kawasan desa mitra, (c) persiapan alat dan bahan serta lokasi secara kolaboratif, (d) kerja kreatif kolaboratif perancangan dan pembuatan garden vertikal figuratif untuk kawasan rest area desa wisata Petungsewu, (e) Mengatasi kendala-kendala teknis dalam pelaksanaan program, (g) Hasil kreasi berupa rancangan desain dan prototipe produk garden vertical figuratif terpajang di Rest Area desa Petungsewu. Hasil kegiatan kreatif seni ini turut mendorong penguatan desa wisata melalui sajian produk artistik yang ramah lingkungan

Abstract

The village of Selorejo in the Dau District of Malang Regency has pioneered as a tourism village. The initiative began by developing tourist attractions that made use of forest land along the banks of the Metro River, which was designated as a camping area. However, the development required creative ideas to strengthen the image of the area. Creative elements that can be offered involve creating aesthetic exterior elements of terracotta vases developed by academics, one of whom is from UM, collaborating with competent practitioners in the fields of crafts and landscape architecture. In realizing the creative artistic method, several stages are required, including: (1) design planning or conceptualization with Selorejo Village partners (exploring forms through sketches), (2) followed by the shaping and ornamentation of the terracotta vases, (3) drying and firing the artworks, and (4) displaying the creative terracotta vases at the Bedengan Selorejo Dau Malang Camping Ground (BUPER). The final product is a terracotta vase with a cylindrical base structure that not only offers aesthetic forms but also functional impacts. The upper part of the artwork features a jar-like shape with figurative relief and engraved patterns on all four sides of its surface.

Abstract

The development of aesthetic products for interior accessories has evolved with a variety of designs and materials. Interior accessories based on local potential and eco-friendly products are the hopes of any society in the era of increasing awareness of eco-friendly lifestyles. This research aims to create interior accessory products with local natural plant growth materials through the use of ecoprint textile crafts as a basis for the development. To realise this aim, a creative art method is necessary. These methods include: (a) product design, (b) preparation of materials and techniques, (c) the process of making ecoprint decorative motifs on fabrics, (d) application of ecoprint fabrics combined with other materials as surface decoration of prospective interior accessory element products, (d) finishing of prototype interior accessory element products from the combination of ecoprint, (e) analysis of creative results of the developed interior aesthetic element products. The products of this project consist of hanging lampshade, sitting lamp, and table ware products. It is expected that the results of this creation can enrich the variety of eco-friendly-based interior accessories craft products, which are developed from local potential.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences and similarities between traditional houses in Nusantara with research samples taken from 2 countries namely Joglo traditional hoise in Yogyakarta Indonesia and Melaka traditional house in Melaka Malaysia. The research method used is qualitative by means of descriptive research that takes the type of comparative activities of traditional house in Nusantara. Data obtained from direct observation to the location (Yogyakarta and Malaysia), interviews with informants, and taking documents data in the form of photos, layout drawings, and images. The results showed similarities and differences between the Joglo traditional house in Yogyakarta, Indonesia and the Melaka tarditional house in Malaysia. Judging from the aspect of the building, the Joglo house was built directly above ground level while the Melaka house was built with a stage system. The different types of buildings, plus the different users and spatial activities, lead to differences in interior layout. However, both Joglo traditional house and Melaka traditional house were built in 1 building mass. Both houses also still use wood material in some parts of the house. In addition, the house is also supported by poles that use wood material. Keyword: Comparation, Interior, Traditional House, Joglo, Melaka  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan dan persamaan diantara rumah tradisional Nusantara dengan sampel penelitian yang diambil dari 2 negara yaitu rumah tradisional Joglo Yogyakarta Indonesia dan rumah tradisional Melaka Malaysia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan cara penelitian deskripsi yang mengambil jenis kegiatan komparasi rumah tinggal tradisional Nusantara. Data diperoleh dari observasi langsung ke lokasi (Yogyakarta dan Malaysia), wawancara kepada narasumber, serta mengambil data dalam bentuk dokumen berupa foto, gambar layout, dan gambar tampak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya persamaan dan perbedaan antara rumah Joglo Yogyakarta, Indonesia dan rumah Melaka Malaysia. Ditinjau dari aspek bangunan, rumah Joglo dibangun langsung di atas permukaan tanah sedangkan rumah Melaka dibangun dengan sistem panggung. Perbedaan jenis bangunan ini, ditambah perbedaan pengguna dan aktivitas ruangnya, menyebabkan adanya perbedaan tata ruang interior di dalamnya. Akan tetapi, Baik rumah Joglo dan Rumah Melaka dibangun dalam 1 massa bangunan. Kedua rumah tersebut juga masih menggunakan material kayu di beberapa bagian rumah. Selain itu, rumah juga disangga oleh tiang yang menggunakan material kayu. Keyword: Komparasi, Interior, Rumah Tradisional, Joglo, Melaka
