Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan daun bangun-bangun (Coleus amboinicus Lour) yang diproteksi tanin batang pisang. Penelitian ini mengunakan 16 ekor Kambing Peranakan Etawah bulan laktasi kedua dan ketiga. Rancangan acak kelompok digunakan pada penelitian ini dengan 4 perlakuan dan 4 kelompok sebagai ulangan yaitu P0 = hijauan 70% + konsentrat 30%, P1 = P0 + 0,5% daun bangun-bangun diproteksi tanin dari ekstrak batang pisang, P2 = P0 + 1% daun bangun-bangun diproteksi tanin dari ekstrak batang pisang, P3 = P0 + 1,5% daun bangun-bangun diproteksi tanin dari ekstrak batang pisang. Peubah yang diamati adalah konsumsi bahan kering (BK), produksi susu dan efisiensi produksi susu. Data dianalisis dengan sidik ragam, jika berpengaruh nyata dilanjutkan dengan uji jarak berganda duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian daun bangun-bangun berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi bahan kering pakan dengan rataan 1431.16 ± 67.165, berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap produksi susu dengan rataan 153.15 ± 66.11, dan berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap efisiensi produksi susu dengan rataan 9.45 ± 3.84 pada Kambing Peranakan Etawah. Kesimpulan penelitian bahwa penambahan daun bangun-bangun diproteksi tanin batang pisang tidak mempengaruhi konsumsi bahan kering pakan, produksi susu dan efisiensi produksi susu.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aimed to identify isolates that produce cellulase enzymes derived from cellulolytic bacteria from the digestive tract of termites and to determine the best type of substrate as the carrier and survival of these isolates. This research consists of 3 (three) stages. The first stage of research was the isolation of cellulolytic bacteria using descriptive data analysis. The second stage of research was to determine the best carrier for selected cellulolytic isolates, while the third stage was to determine the shelf life of the isolates with the selected substrate as the best carrier by analyzing data using analysis of variance. The results of the first phase of research obtained 3 isolates of cellulolytic bacteria from the best termite digestive tract based on the clear zone index test with isolate code VR52, VR61 and VR81 with clear zone index for each isolate 1.087; 2,250 and 1,710 mm. Based on Gram staining, the three isolates were gram-positive bacteria in the form of bacilli. Maximum enzyme activity in isolate VR61 (Bacillus sp) with its enzyme activity (19.91 µ/mL). The results of the second stage study showed that rice bran was the best sAubstrate based on total microbes with a value of 202 x 109 CFU / g. The results of the third stage research showed that the number of cellulolytic bacteria in the selected sub-extract (rice bran) at a storage temperature of 4oC (178.92 x 109 CFU / gr) was more than that of storage at 27oC (101.69 x 109 CFU / gr). This research concludes that the longer the storage time shows a decrease in the number of bacteria and pH in the sub-extract. The best interaction on rice bran sub-extract as a carrier at a storage temperature of 4oC in the second week with the number of cellulolytic bacteria 197.8 x 109 CFU / gr with a pH value of 6.46 and the fourth week of 167.85 x 109 CFU / gr with a pH value of 6.39.   Keywords: Cellulose, Cellulolytic Bacteria, Termites

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis adopsi inovasi pengolahan limbah usaha ternak sapi menjadi pupuk organik padat, biourin, dan biogas, serta untuk menganalisis karakteristik inovasi yang mempengaruhi adopsi inovasi pengolahan limbah usaha ternak sapi. Tulisan ini menggunakan metode literature review.  Data dan pembahasan bersumber dari literatur, jurnal bereputasi, jurnal nasional terakreditasi dan hasil-hasil penelitian. Data-data yang telah terkumpul disajikan dalam  bentuk deskripsi dan selanjutnya dilakukan analisis dan sintesis literatur. Berdasarkan  pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa adopsi inovasi pengolahan limbah usaha ternak sapi oleh peternak masih beragam mulai dari teknologi yang sederhana (pupuk kandang) hingga yang kompleks (kompos, biogas dan biourin). Karakteristik inovasi mempengaruhi adopsi inovasi pengolahan limbah usaha ternak sapi.

Abstract

Efficiency is important in landing with the aim that the catch as soon as possible reaches the hands of consumers in good quality condition. Sondong fishing gear is a type of active fishing gear with an application process that is not too long so it is useful for maintaining the quality of shrimp because shrimp have organoleptic properties that rot quickly. The purpose of this study was to determine the efficiency level of landing time of catches using sondong fishing gear at the Fish Landing Base, Dumai City, Riau Province. The research was carried out at the Fish Landing Base, Dumai City, Riau Province, from June 5-25, 2021. The material in the research object was a sondong fishing boat, while the equipment needed was stationery, a stopwatch, a camera, and a laptop. The data collected are basic data, namely unloading time, effective time, wasted time, and supporting data, namely fleet size (GT), number of fish landed (kg), number of unloading personnel (people), and age of activity actors (years). The efficiency of the landing time of the catch using sondong fishing gear at the fish landing base in the city of Dumai is classified into the less efficient category, while the factors that influence fishing productivity are fishing experience, crew, and fishing time.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kecernaan BK, BO dan SK pada daun bangun-bangun (Coleus amboinicus L) setelah dilakukan proteksi. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah memproteksi daun bangun-bangun P0 daun bangun-bagun tanpa perlakuan, P1 daun bangun-bangun di proteksi dengan kapsul, P2 daun bangun- bangun di proteksi daun kembang sepatu (saponin), P3 daun bangun-bangun di proteksi batang pisang (tanin). Peubah yang diamati yaitu kecernaan bahan kering (KcBK), kecernaan bahan organik (KcBO), dan kecernaan serat kasar (KcSK). Data diperoleh dianalisis dengan analisis ragam. Jika berpengaruh nyata dilanjutkan dengan uji jarak Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proteksi menggunakan kapsul, saponin dan tanin berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap KcBK, KcBO, dan KcSK daun bngun-bangun lebih lanjut terlihat pada P2 menunjukkan hasil yang baik dibandingkan P0, P1 dan P3. Hasil terbaik dicapai pada P2 yaitu proteksi menggunakan saponin yang di ekstrak dari daun kembang sepatu dengan hasil kecernaan BK (83,56%), BO (83,61%), SK (83,02%) Berdasarkan hasil ini dapat disimpulkan bahan proteksi berupa saponin dapat memproteksi daun bangun-bangun dengan baik.

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Coleus amboinicus L. (daun bangun-bangun) dan Sauropus androgynus L. Merr (daun katuk) terhadap produksi susu kambing Peranakan Etawah. Enam belas ekor kambing Peranakan Etawah laktasi digunakan pada penelitian ini dengan rancangan acak kelompok 4 x 4. Perlakuan P0 = 30% konsentrat +70% hijauan, P1= P0+6 g/kg BK Coleus amboinicus L., P2 = P0+6 g/kg BK Sauropus androgynus L. Merr, dan P3 =3 g/kg BK Coleus amboinicus L. +3 g/kg BK Sauropus androgynus L. Merr. Peubah yang diamati adalah konsumsi ransum (bahan kering, protein kasar, lemak kasar, serat kasar, Ca dan P), produksi susu dan kualitas susu (bahan kering, bahan kering tanpa lemak, lemak, protein, casein dan berat jenis). Data dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA, jika berbeda nyata antar perlakuan dilakukan uji lanjut berganda Duncan. Perlakuan pemberian Coleus amboinicus L. dan Sauropus androgynus L. Merr tidak memengaruhi konsumsi bahan kering (BK) pakan, protein kasar (PK), lemak kasar (LK), serat kasar (SK), Ca dan P (P0,05). Perlakuan Coleus amboinicus L. dan Sauropus androgynus L. Merr dapat meningkatkan produksi susu (P0,05), namun tidak memengaruhi kualitas susu (bahan kering, bahan kering tanpa lemak, lemak, protein dan casein) (P0.05) dan sangat nyata memengaruhi berat jenis (BJ) susu kambing Peranakan Etawah (P0,01). Disimpulkan bahwa pemberian Coleus amboinicus L. dan Sauropus androgynus L. Merr dapat meningkatkan produksi susu, tetapi tidak memengaruhi konsumsi ransum dan kualitas susu. (Increased production of Etawah cross-breed goat milk by giving Coleus amboinicus Lour and Sauropus androgynus L. Merr) ABSTRACT. This study intended to determine the effect of Coleus amboinicus L. and Sauropus androgynus L. Mers on Etawah crossbreed goat milk production. Sixteen lactating Etawah crossbred goats were used in the 4 x 4 randomized block experiment consisted of four treatments, P0 = 30% concentrate + 70% forage, P1 = P0 + 6 g/kg Coleus amboinicus L., P2 = P0 + 6 g/kg Sauropus androgynus L. Merr and P3 = 3 g/kg Coleus amboinicus L. + 3 g/kg Sauropus androgynus L. Merr on dry matter basis. The variables measured were consumption (dry matter, crude protein, crude fat, crude fiber, Ca and P), milk production and milk quality (dry matter, milk solid non fat, protein, specific gravity). Data were analyzed by ANOVA, if there were differences between treatments, Duncan's multiple-test was carried out. The result showed that, the addition of Coleus amboinicus L. and Sauropus androgynus L. Merr in ration did not affect dry matter consumption, crude protein, crude fat, crude fiber, Ca and P (P0.05). Coleus amboinicus L and Sauropus androgynus L. Merr significantly increased milk production (P0.05), and highly affected specific gravity of Etawah crossbreed goat milk (P 0.01), but did not affect milk quality (dry matter, dry ingredients non fat, protein fat and casein) (P0.05). It could be concluded that the addition of Coleus amboinicus L. and Sauropus androgynus L. Merr increased milk production, but did not affect consumption and milk quality.

Abstract

This environmentally friendly school development activity is a collaboration between PUI PT Sifas (Sustainable Integrated Farming System) Universitas Jambi, with PetroChina International Jabung Ltd, and related East Tanjung Jabung Regency agencies. This activity aims to optimize the processing of livestock waste to support environmentally friendly agriculture with a zero-waste concept.  However, the obstacles faced in waste processing are that the biogas installation needs to be fixed, there are no results of compost and biourine nutrient analysis yet, the compost does not have a registered trademark. It is hoped that the group will become a training and demonstration center for environmentally friendly agriculture. This community service activities used the PAR (Participatory Action Research) approach, namely service activities that involve active community participation, starting with coordination, training, creating environmentally friendly schools, product improvement and implementation. This activity included counselling, training and building environmentally friendly schools. All activities included optimizing compost, biogas and biourine processing equipment, carrying out nutrient analysis of compost and biourine, and applying compost and biourine to plants. The extension was attended by 40 participants consisting of 35 members of farmer groups, 5 extension workers and representatives from the Department of Agriculture. Activities to improve biourine installations, compost processing, application of compost and biourine to plants. Applying compost and biourin can increase kale production by 26%, ginger by 16%, long beans by 12%, and eggplant by 14%. Local resources and adequate human resources support the development of an environmentally friendly school in Kota Baru village. Conclusion: SRL activities can have a social impact by growing participants' interest in applying compost and biourine to agricultural businesses, increasing production, reducing environmental impacts.
