Abstract

This study analyzed the level of knowledge and constraints on skills in making geography learning media, visualizing geospatial information for Geography Education Students, Semarang State University. The research sample consisted of 80 students at the Semarang State University geography education students who were selected using a saturated sample technique (census). The data analysis used in this study consisted of percentage descriptive analysis techniques and multiple linear regression techniques. The results showed that students of Geography Education at Semarang State University had a high level of knowledge and constraints in the medium category, as well as a high level of Geospatial Information Visualization Skills. This study shows that the influence of knowledge and constraints on the skills of visualization of geospatial information is partially at 50.9% or in the medium category with 49.1% influence from outside the research variables. For that, geospatial information visualization knowledge and skills must be implemented continuously and comprehensively by involving the roles of all parties, including students, departments and universities. UNNES and geography departments can provide access to software and computers, not only outside the practicum and also encourage the use of open source software as alternative software. Penelitian ini menganalisis tingkat pengetahuan dan kendala terhadap keterampilan dalam pembuatan media pembelajaran geografi visualisasi informasi geospasial pada Mahasiswa Pendidikan Geografi Universitas Negeri Semarang. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas 80 mahasiswa pada mahasiswa pendidikan geografi Universitas Negeri Semarang yang dipilih dengan teknik sampel jenuh (sensus). Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri atas teknik analisis deskriptif persentase dan teknik regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa mahasiswa Pendidikan Geografi Universitas Negeri Semarang memiliki tingkat pengetahuan pada kategori tinggi dan kendala pada kategori sedang, serta tingkat keterampilan visualisasi informasi geospasial pada kategori tinggi. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh pengetahuan dan kendala terhadap keterampilan visualisasi informasi geospasial secara parsial berada pada angka 50,9% atau berada pada kategori sedang dengan 49,1% pengaruh dari luar variabel penelitian.Pengetahuan dan keterampilan visualisai informasi geospasial harus diimplementasikan secara kontinyu dan komprehensif dengan melibatkan peran semua pihak baik, mahasiswa, jurusan dan pihak universitas. Pihak UNNES dan jurusan geografi dapat menyediakan akses perangkat lunak dan komputer tidak hanya diluar praktikum serta mendorong pemanfaatan software opensourcesebagai software alternatif

Abstract

Mutual cooperation and rotating work is a business activity carried out by several people, both farmers and farmers or farmers with the government to achieve the same goal of community harmony and economic prosperity. The purpose of this study is to analyze the values ​​of kinship systems towards agricultural modernization of farmers in Soki Village, Belo District, Bima Regency. The research method used is qualitative. The informants in this study were farmers in Soki Village, Belo District, Bima Regency. The technique of collecting data is by observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The validity of the data in this study uses triangulation techniques. The results of the study show that the value of mutual cooperation and rotating work carried out by farmers in Soki village are not only in agricultural activities such as planting, cutting, and harvesting. But the community of farmers in the village of Soki conducts mutual cooperation in celebration events such as circumcision, marriage and even at the opening of a new house. Mutual cooperation activities and rotating work have the same goal, namely to alleviate and facilitate work while preserving and applying the culture of the relics of the men.

Abstract

Lower students interest in social studies is influenced by learning strategies that have not been able to meet the demands of development and needs. The purpose of this study is to analyze social studies learning in market main discussion and market agree based on outdoor learning in improving conceptual understanding of social science knowledge. The research method used is qualitative research design with phenomenology. Informants in this study were teachers, students, traders in the market. Data collection techniques by observation, interviews, and documentation. The validity of the data in this study uses triangulation techniques. The results showed that the students of Public Junior High School 1 Bodeh, Pemalang Regency, in the process of outdoor learning in the market could increase conceptual knowledge with an achievement level classically 87.5%. This learning strategy can be used for innovation in the learning process that is appropriate to the development and needs of students.

Abstract

Life environment education gains the main priority for formal education. For school stakeholders, this condition should be responded to immediately. Schools have to struggle to improve their learners’ environmental awareness. This research describes and analyzes the Living Environmental education policy, its integration to a geographic lesson, and learners’ environmental awareness behaviors of Senior High Schools in Brebes. This research is qualitative. The data were collected by interviewing, observing, and studying the document. The applied data analysis stages were data reduction, display, and conclusion. The findings showed that 1) the Living Environmental education policy was determined by the school since there were no obligated rules from the government. 2) Living Environmental education integration had been promoted well in a geography lesson. It was realized into learning instrument administration and the learning process. This life environment education could be integrated into almost all basic competencies of all geographic materials. 3) learners were aware of a better living environment. They were aware and could understand the problems and negative impacts. In addition to these, learners also acted and were committed to keeping their life environment.

Abstract

The interaction of the human population with nature can cause environmental damage such as the degradation of the watershed carrying capacity. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the relationship between population dynamic and the upstream environment alongside Garang River using four villages including Munding, Lerep, Kalirejo, and Pakintelan. Data were collected from several stakeholders including selected heads of households supported by key informants such as community leaders and the river care communities using field observation, a household survey through questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The households used as samples were selected through proportional random sampling and the data retrieved were analyzed through a descriptive quantitative method which involved the cross-tabulation of household data on economic activities and environmental management practices. It was discovered that 1) the population of the Garang River’s upstream was very dynamic with growth rates varying from 1.05% to 3.93%, 2) the main livelihood of the population and dominant land use was the agricultural sector, 3) the community realized that the harmonic relationship with the environment was a critical condition to support farming activities and fulfil daily necessities, and 4) the society kept maintaining the river through different activities such as "bersih sungai" or river cleaning and "sedekah bumi" or thank-giving to the environment. Moreover, the harmonic relationship between the people and the river environment is in form of several activities. These included waste management, cleaning rivers, maintaining clean waterways, actions to create a clean and healthy environment, and joining the efforts to care for the environment. The harmony was observed to have been realized through the integration of diversity, interdependence, unity, and the value of providing care.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the contribution of non-farm employment opportunities to household income. The experiment was conducted in the Sumowono Village, Semarang Regency Central Java province. Respondents were itinerant vegetable traders and community leaders. Data collection is carried out by means of in-depth interviews. The analysis showed that non-farm employment opportunities in rural areas conducted by itinerant vegetable traders became one of alternative employment and contribute to labor force participation. Generally itinerant vegetable vendor is male. Mostly are married, have an average of two children, and only 20 percent is unmarried. The majority of junior high school education is finished. Reach of the work area is varies, begin from the surrounding villages in the sub-district, outside the district, regencies and outside the province. Motorcycle become one of the means of transportation used. The outpouring of working time each day an average of 9 hours. Contribution to household income by 70 percent.       Penelitian bertujuan menganalisis kontribusi kesempatan kerja non-pertanian terhadap pendapatan rumahtangga. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Sumowono Kabupaten Semarang provinsi Jawa Tengah. Responden adalah pedagang sayur keliling dan tokoh masyarakat. Pengumpulan data dilaksanakan dengan cara wawancara mendalam. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa  kesempatan kerja non-pertanian di perdesaan yang dilakukan oleh pedagang sayur keliling menjadi salah satu alternatif kerja dan berkontribusi terhadap partisipasi angkatan kerja. Umumnya pedagang sayur keliling berjenis kelamin laki-laki. Sebagian besar berstatus kawin, dengan rata-rata memiliki anak 2 orang, dan hanya 20 persen bujang. Pendidikan mayoritas adalah tamat sekolah lanjutan pertama. Jangkauan wilayah kerja bervariasi, mulai dari desa sekitar satu wilayah kecamatan, luar kecamatan, luar kabupaten dan luar provinsi. Sepeda motor menjadi salah satu alat transportasi yang digunakan. Curahan waktu kerja setiap hari 9 jam. Kontribusi terhadap pendapatan rumahtangga sebesar 70 persen.

Abstract

The good and bad of the nation's generation are determined by the personal formation of their respective families. Most families who are beneficiaries of the Jaya Mulia Village Family Hope Program have a background as laborers, so families have to work hard to meet basic needs and neglect their children's education. This study aims to determine the role and constraints faced in children's education and the benefits of the “Program Keluarga Harapan” assistance in the education component. The research uses qualitative methods and data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed four kinds of parental roles: modeling, mentoring, organizing, and teaching. However, not all parents carry out their role because there are several obstacles such as limited time, education level, and the social environment's influence. One of the efforts made by the government to improve the quality of education is through PKH. PKH not only assists in the form of cash but also provides training, guidance and motivation to parents in providing better care, protection and education for their children. This research is expected to contribute ideas to the community that parents have greater responsibilities.

Abstract

Realitas interaksi sosial yang muncul dalam ruang virtual dapat dilihat pada aktivitas para pelajar di Kota Semarang melalui media sosial. Realitas sosial yang muncul bahwasannya sebanyak 98,2% pelajar di Kota Semarang sebagian besar menggunakan sosial media berupa Tiktok dan Instragram. Realitas tersebut dapat dilihat dalam dua hal yakni realitas interasi sosial positif dan negatif dalam ruang virtual. Pada realitas interaksi sosial positif fenomena yang muncul dengan interaksi pelajar di dunia maya membawa dampak yakni memperluas jejaring pertemanan, memperkuat personal branding, mendapatkan informasi yang bermanfaat, menciptakan komunitas belajar, menambah sumber belajar, mengasah keterampilan dari hal-hal baru, memudahkan dalam belajar daring, menumbuhkan jiwa sosial. Sedangkan disisi lain memunjulkan realitas sosial negatif dalam penggunaan media sosial yakni pemanfaatan media sosial yang kurang optimal, kurangnya etika dalam berkomunikasi, salah memanajemen waktu sehari-hari, berkurangnya interaksi sosial secara langsung, merusak kesehatan mental maupun jasmani, dan penyalahgunaan sosial media. The reality of social interaction that appears in virtual space can be seen in the activities of students in the city of Semarang through social media. The social reality that emerges is that 98.2% of students in the city of Semarang mostly use social media in the form of Tiktok and Instagram. This reality can be seen in two ways, namely the reality of positive and negative social interactions in cyberspace. In the reality of positive social interaction, phenomena that arise with student interaction in cyberspace have an impact, namely expanding friendship networks, strengthening personal branding, obtaining useful information, creating learning communities, adding learning resources, honing skills from new things, facilitating online is study. , cultivating social life. Meanwhile, on the other hand, negative social realities emerge in the use of social media, namely the use of social media that is less than optimal, lack of ethics in communication, mismanagement of daily time, reduced direct social interaction, mental and physical health damage, and misuse of social media.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan literasi lingkungan remaja dengan upaya konservasi hulu Sungai Pute, kaitannya dengan pendidikan konservasi yang dilakukan Komunitas Anak Sungai kepada remaja Dusun Rammang-Rammang, Kabupaten Maros, Sulawesi Selatan. Konservasi sebagai upaya mengantisipasi ancaman kerusakan hulu Sungai Pute dari rencana tambang dan perluasan pabrik semen di Kawasan Karst Rammang-Rammang. Tingkat literasi lingkungan remaja berada pada kriteria “Tinggi”, atau sangat baik. Pengukuran tingkat literasi lingkungan dilakukan menggunakan instrumen tes kepada 53 remaja dusun, dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptif presentase. Tingkatan upaya konservasi hulu Sungai Pute remaja berada pada kriteria “Sedang”, atau cukup baik. Pengukuran menggunakan instrumen kuesioner dengan analisis deskriptif presentase. Hubungan kedua variabel tersebut dianalisis dengan teknik korelasi Product Moment dengan nilai Correlation Coefficient sebesar 0,714**, dikategorikan memiliki tingkat kekuatan hubungan kuat. Tingkat literasi lingkungan mempengaruhi upaya konservasi yang dilakukan remaja. Literasi lingkungan berperan penting dalam pembentukan kesadaran lingkungan pada remaja, dengan demikian upaya konservasi hulu Sungai Pute dapat terealisasi.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kelompok usaha peternak ayam petelur rumahan di Desa Kragan Kecamatan Polanharjo Kabupaten Klaten masih melakukan usaha secara tradisional apa adanya. Permasalahan yang ada pada kelompok peternak ayam rumahan ini produksi telur secara kuantitas, kualitas, diversifikasi produk, manajemen usaha, serta pemasaran. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini memberikan solusi terkait permasalahan tersebut. Solusinya antara lain penataan lingkungan kandang peternak ayam petelur, peningkatan produksi dan kualitas ayam petelur melalui inovasi probiotik herbal, peningkatan masa produktif ayam petelur melalui inovasi probiotik herbal, penguatan kelembagaan kelompok, peningkatan nilai tambah produk melalui pengemasan, dan membentuk jaringan pemasaran telur probiotik. Secara umum metode pemberdayaan dan penerapan Iptek kepada kelompok peternak ayam petelur dilakukan dengan cara, antara lain penguatan lingkungan kandang peternak; ceramah tentang sanitasi lingkungan, inovasi teknologi probiotik herbal. manajemen, dan pemasaran; demonstrasi, praktik penerapan inovasi iptks secara langsung, pendampingan dan studi banding. Sebagai pelaksana adalah dosen dengan keahlian multidisiplin yang mendukung dari bidang geografi, lingkungan, dan biologi, dibantu oleh mahasiswa dari prodi geografi, biologi dan lingkungan, serta tenaga ahli sebagai narasumber yang diambil dari pihak luar sesuai kepakarannya. Target luaran kegiatan ini adalah peningkatan level keberdayaan mitra dan peningkatan produksi serta pemasaran; berlangsungnya kelompok usaha peternak ayam petelur rumahan di Desa Kranggan yang semakin kuat dan berkembang.Abstract: The business group of home-laying hen farmers in Kragan Village, Polanharjo District, Klaten Regency still does business traditionally as it is. The problems that exist in this group of home chicken farmers are egg production in quantity, quality, product diversification, business management, and marketing. This community service activity provides solutions to these problems. The solutions include structuring the cage environment of laying hen farmers, increasing the production and quality of laying hens through herbal probiotic innovation, increasing the productive period of laying hens through herbal probiotic innovation, strengthening group institutions, increasing product added value through packaging, and forming a probiotic egg marketing network. In general, the method of empowerment and application of science and technology to groups of laying hen farmers is carried out by, among others, strengthening the farmer's cage environment; lectures on environmental sanitation, and herbal probiotic technology innovation. management, and marketing; Demonstration, the practice of implementing IPTKS innovation directly, mentoring, and comparative studies. Implementers are lecturers with multidisciplinary expertise that support from the fields of geography, environment, and biology, assisted by students from geography, biology, and environmental study programs, as well as experts as resource persons taken from outside parties according to their expertise. The output target of this activity is to increase the level of partner empowerment and increase production and marketing; The business group of home-laying hen farmers in Kranggan Village is getting stronger and growing.
