Abstract

Students in the 21st century requires literacy skills in their learning and their daily live. The Indonesian government has supported the literacy of students through school literacy movement program. Besides that, the Indonesian government also has tried to improve the competence of students through integrated science teaching in Junior High School. The real condition shows that the result of learning outcome in science subject and literacy test of students can be classified into low category. An alternative solution to solve this problem is to apply the integrated science student worksheet in adaptive contextual teaching model. The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of the application of Integrated science student worksheet on digestive health theme toward the competence of grade VIII students in SMPN 13 Padang. The type of research that used was quasi experiment with posttest-only nonequivalent control group design. Sampling technique in this research used purposive sampling. Instruments for collecting data consist of written test sheet of knowledge competency, observation sheet of attitude competency and performance assessment sheet of skill competency. Data from the research were analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis and compare two means test. Based on the data analysis can be stated that the application of Integrated science student worksheet on our digestive health theme has given significant effect toward competence of grade VIII students including knowledge, attitude and skill aspect of competences in  SMPN 13 Padang at 95% confidence level.

Abstract

This type of research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The population data in this study were all physics textbooks for class XII high school students used by 17 schools in West Sumatra. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. The sample in this study was the most high school physics class XII semester 1 textbook used by schools published by four different publishers. The data in this study were taken using textbook presentation instrument analysis and data collection techniques through documentation studies.The results showed that the level of CTL feasibility in class XII semester 1 physics textbooks published by book A was 69.58% with the appropriate category, then the CTL grade performance in class XII semester 1 physics textbooks published by book B was 82 , 77% with a very appropriate category, then the level of CTL implementation in physics textbooks for class XII semester 1 published by book C was 58.13% which was categorized quite appropriate, and for the level of CTL implementation in physics textbooks in class XII semester 1 published by book D is 90.68% which is categorized very accordingly. The results of the study can be used as a needs analysis in developing research on the presentation of physics textbooks in implementing CTL

Abstract

The still student achievement of competence IPA is caused by several factors, such as the learning process is teachers center, students grade in the learning process is a talk and worksheets  have not been able to motivate students to learn. This grade aims to determine the effect of applying Student Worksheet TANDUR based on the achievement of competence IPA seventh grade students of SMPN 30 Padang.This research is a quasi-experimental research and the grade design used is randomizes Only Control Group Design. The population of this grade were all students of class VII semester of 2 in SMPN 30 Padang in the academic year 2015/2016. Sampling was done by using purposive sampling and cluster random sampling. The sample in this research is class VII-1 as the control class and VII-2 as a class experiment. The instrument used in this grade is the observation sheet to assess the competence Attitude Attitude, Knowledge written test for competence and scoring rubrics for skills competency. Data analysis technique used is the test hypotheses about the equality of two average and regression and correlation.The results of the data analysis is based on research that has been done shows the average value of the competence Knowledge, Attitudes and Skills in a row from the experimental class, namely: 83.750; 76.132; and 78.684. Control classes, namely: 79.044; 73.456; and 77.132. From the test results of the equality of two average on knowledge gained competence t count = 2.136 and t  table = 1,998; the attitude of competence obtained t count = 2.284 and t table = 1.998; Skills and competencies obtained t count = 2.505 and t table = 1.998. In all three of these competencies obtained t count > t table, then t is outside the reception area of Ho, so Hi be accepted.Level relationship LKS value with the value of competence Knowledge is strong enough, and the effect of LKS at 30.82%. It can be concluded that the application of the Student Worksheet Based TANDUR provide significant impact on the real level of 0.05 against the Learning Outcomes Science Class VII SMPN 30 Padang on Competence Attitude, Knowledge and Skills

Abstract

The 2013 Curriculum requires learning to achieve overall competence of spiritual competence, social, knowledge, and skills competencies. In fact, the demands of the 2013 curriculum are not fully implemented. One factor is the lack of learning resources to support the achievement of the competencies of students demanded by the 2013 Curriculum, especially spiritual attitudes. The altervative solution to this problem is developing physics teaching materials that integrating the content of the value of spiritual intelligence. This research includes the type of research and development (R & D). This method consists of ten steps, but this research uses only six steps: potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revisions, and product testing. The object of research is the subject of physics with the content of spiritual intelligence. The instrument used in this research is the validity assessment sheet, the practicality assessment sheet, and the test result sheet. Based on data analysis, four results of this research are presented. First, teaching materials with the content of spiritual intelligence values of vector material and straight motion are in accordance with the structure of teaching materials and there are values of spiritual intelligence relevant to the concept of physics. Second, the value of the validity of teaching materials with the content of spiritual intelligence values of vector material and straight motion is very high with an average value of 86.55. Third, teaching materials with spiritual values of spiritual intelligence are practically used by teachers and students, with practical values of 83.87 and 80.54, respectively. Fourth, teaching materials with the content of spiritual intelligence values are effectively used in a scientific approach to improving the competence of learners' knowledge.

Abstract

Learning materials are references that contain information systematically arranged. In fact of the school, learning materials that created by teachers has not been integrating physics learning with other science and application of physics in technology in everyday life. One of the solutions to solve this problem is to create learning materials that integrate Science, Technology and Environment (STE) in learning Physics with ICT through problem-oriented learning models. This study aims to produce teaching materials to integrate Edmodo based on STL model Problem-Based Instruction that static and dynamic fluid materials with a good description, valid and practical. The research conducted that include the types of research and development (R&D) using the 4-D development model  which reduced to 3-D with defining, designing, and developing phases. The subjects of this research were 3 respondens who are validators of physic lecturer in Faculty of Mathematics Natural Sciences State University of Padang, 2 physics teachers and 31 students of SMAN 1 Padang. The object of this research is to integrate the materials Science, Technology and the Environment of learning materials to integrate SLT based on the model of Edmodo Problem-Based Instruction materials static and dynamic fluid. Based on this research, it has produced some products. First, learning materials product that integrate edmodo-based on STL model Problem-Based Instruction materials static and dynamic fluid. Second, learning materials product that integrate STL-based valid categories are on Edmodo with an average score of 80%. Third , teaching materials product integrate STL-based on practical categories are on Edmodo according to the teachers with a result of 86.25%, while according to the student's learning materials integrate STL-based practical categories are on Edmodo with an average score of 83,93%.

Abstract

Increasing the achievement of learners' physical competencies can be done one of them by using a variety of teaching materials, as well as the use of learning models that can improve student learning activities. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of integrated physics teaching materials on social intelligence through a problem-based learning model towards the achievement of physics competencies of class X students of SMAN 16 Padang. This research is classified as Pre-Experimental Design with the design of Pretest- Posttest One Group Design. The population used is all students in class X 2018/2019. The sample is determined using purposive sampling technique. The data of this study include data on attitudes, knowledge and skills competency. After doing the research and continuing with analyzing the data it can be concluded that the use of integrated physics teaching materials social intelligence through problem-based learning models affects the achievement of knowledge competencies by 64.91% while the achievement of student skills competencies is 73.91%.

Abstract

Oxygen has an important role in the process of burning cement and producing Carbon Monoxide. The oxygen content can be measured using a Gas Analyzer. At PT. Semen Padang has a Gas Analyzer but information about instruments, data and analysis and the use and constraints of the Gas Analyzer are still lacking. To answer this promblem researchers are interested in conducting further research. This research includes descriptive research, namely research that aims to describe or explain an object's variables. measurement results obtained from the measurement results using a Gas Analyzer. the measurement results obtained will be analyzed statistically and graphically. the measurement results are analyzed by data in one day, one week, one month and for 6 months. Based on the results of data analysis it can be seen that the oxygen gas content of the measurement results is still in the range used.

Abstract

The cloud height measurement has important role in aviation field. One of instruments that is used to measure the cloud height is ceilometer. The existence of ceilometer isn’t so common in daily life unlike other weather elements measuring device such as thermometer, barometer and so on. This cause lack of learning source and knowledge over the cloud parameters for students or observers. For this reason, the research about ceilometer instrument is important. The aim of this research is to describe the operation principle of ceilometer and to determine the data results interpretation of the instrument to give support for instrument’s future development. This research can be classified into the descriptive research category. The object of the research is Ceilometer Allweather 8339 in Minangkabau International Airport and its data results during 14 days. The data was analyzed using analysis descriptive technique. This was executed by collecting any kinds of information from field and literatures. Based on the data analysis can be stated two of research results. First, ceilometer works based on Lidar Principle and using NWS ASOS Sky Condition Algorithm as programming algorithm. The transmitter is InGaAs Laser diode and Avalanche Photo Diode is used as receiver. Second, the measurement result data from 1st July 2017 until 14 July 2017 shows variative pattern in height, sky condition and amount of layers every hours. For example the date that consist of the most low clouds is 7th July 2017 and cloud rarely formed on 3rd July 2017

Abstract

Human activities due influenced by natural conditions and natural conditions are affected by human activities. This phenomenon is interesting because everybody couldn't control over the weather. Accuracy weather information can minimize the negative effects of weather such as aircraft accidents, material losses due to flooding and other. AWS is instrument used to measure the weather elements. However, in practice most of the weather forecast is only used to help smooth plane flight, and the result can only be accessed by certain institutions. In fact, if viewed more deeply the weather forecast has many benefits in human activities. This research objective is to determine the characteristics of the weather elements  that can be utilized for various fields of human life. This research was descriptive which describe the AWS Vaisla MAWS 201 and the elements of the weather based on measurements using Vaisala MAWS 201. AWS measurement data retrieval was done directly by observing changes in weather elements occurring on the computer display. The computer display of measurement data elements of weather can be downloaded to be processed as information material. From these research activities could be offered two results. First AWS consist of remote terminal Unite (RTU), personal computer (CP), Sensors. AWS can measure some weather elements at once. Second, the measurement data obtained from the results that the average temperature in 2013 and 2014 was 250C -300C and minimum temperature of 240C. For the measurement of rainfall average per year is 35 mm and 0 mm. The air pressure value of the average per year is 1012 mb and 1009 mb. Air humidity is 80 and 82. Wind speed is taken from an annual average value of 10 m / s in 2014 and 3 m / s in 2013

Abstract

The development of science and technology (Science and Technology) always improved. Science and technology proven to provide convenience and benefits for humans as in the field of Physics, for example measurement of the Rotational speed. Rotational speed can be measured in two ways: manually and automatically. Automatic sensor-assisted system used to detect and monitor the speed of play. Sensors for this system is inductive proximity sensors npn LJ12A3-4-Z / BX type. The use of these sensors has not been widely used in general, so the design and realization of the system is done looking at technical data, specifications and sensor characteristics. The objective of the research is to know the performance specification and the design of the gear speed measuring instrument. This research is engineering research. Data collection is done directly and indirectly. Direct measurements are made by comparing the measurements and theoretical outcomes. Indirect measurements determine the precision and accuracy of the speed. The data obtained through measurement are statistically and graphically. Based on data analysis put forward two important sections. First, the measurement system performance specification using proximity sensor and arduino microcontroller UNO consist of DC motor there are 12 gear, near DC motor there is proximity sensor with 4 mm distance to gear, and box circuit. Design specifications of measuring instruments in the form of device sensitivity 8,015; Relative accuracy 0.97; 97% accuracy and 0.99 system accuracy
