Abstract

Creating a more decent life in realizing prosperity for the Indonesian people is one of the goals of national development. However, the level of poverty is a serious problem in achieving a level of prosperity in Indonesia. This research aims to determine the influence of economic growth, unemployment, education, human development index, labor force participation level on poverty in East Aceh Regency. The research method used is quantitative research, the data used is secondary data. The research results show that the coefficient value for the economic growth variable is positive at 0.3334. The coefficient value for the unemployment variable is negative at (-0.0913). The coefficient value for the education variable is positive at 0.1722. The coefficient value for the human development index variable is negative at (-0.7112). The coefficient value for the labor force participation rate variable is positive at 0.02021.

Abstract

The high number of drug convicts in Indonesia, especially in Palembang Class I Prison, shows that the dominant repressive sentencing model has not been effective in reducing drug abuse. This condition has led to overcrowding, which has implications for rehabilitation, health, and potential violations of prisoners' human rights. This study aims to examine the implementation of rehabilitation policies for drug convicts at the Palembang Class I Prison and to offer policy reformulations that are more fair and effective. The method used is normative legal research with a legislative, conceptual, and comparative approach. The findings reveal obstacles in the form of limited infrastructure, a shortage of professionals, social stigma, and regulatory disharmony. Therefore, policy reformulation is necessary through strengthening the legal basis that places rehabilitation as the ultimum remedium, improving rehabilitation facilities and personnel, and community participation in social reintegration. These efforts are expected to create a more humane, effective, and restorative justice-oriented correctional system.

Abstract

This research is based on the low problem-solving ability of studens in learning Natural and Social Science IPAS class V State Elementary School 61 Banda Aceh. Based on the results of initial observation and interviews with the class teacher, it is known that learning is still centered on the teacher so that students are less active and have difficulty in understanding and solving problems related to learning materials, especially in the material seeing because of light. This research aims to describe the implementation of the PBL problem Based Learning model and to find out the improvement of students' problem-solving skills in IPAS learning. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The research subjects consist of a class V teacher and a class V student with a total of 18 students at SD Negeri 61 Banda Aceh. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, documentation, and tests as support.   The research results show that the implementation of the PBL model is able to improve students' creativity in the learning process as well as train students' problem-solving skills, which has increased students' ability to understand problems, discuss solutions, conduct experiments, and associate materials with daily life. Thus, the Problem Based Learning model can be one of the effective learning alternatives to improve students' problem-solving skills in IPAS learning in elementary school.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using the outdoor learning method in increasing the learning motivation of third-grade students at SD Negeri 54 Banda Aceh in the subject of IPAS (Integrated Science and Social Studies). The background of this study is the low level of students’ learning motivation caused by less engaging, monotonous, and unvaried teaching methods. The outdoor learning method is a teaching strategy conducted outside the classroom by utilizing the surrounding environment as a learning resource, allowing students to directly observe and interact with learning objects, particularly ecosystem materials. This research employed a quantitative method with a pre-experimental one-shot case study design involving third-grade students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire and documentation. The instruments were tested for validity and reliability using SPSS version 25. The conceptual framework was based on the assumption that the outdoor method can overcome students’ boredom in classroom learning by creating a more flexible, enjoyable, and concrete learning experience. The results showed that the outdoor learning method was effective in increasing students’ learning motivation, as indicated by improvements in enthusiasm, participation, and students’ ability to understand the material. Supporting factors included easily accessible learning media, more enjoyable learning activities, and concrete learning resources that facilitated better comprehension of the material. This study contributes theoretically to the development of educational science and practically provides teachers with an alternative creative teaching method to improve the quality of IPAS learning in elementary schools

Abstract

Most teachers are still lacking in utilizing learning media in the form of animated videos because they find it difficult to utilize technology in learning. This study aims to develop animated video-based teaching media to improve students' conceptual understanding in science learning on changing energy forms in grade IV of SD Negeri 61 Banda Aceh. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were grade IV students of SD Negeri 61 Banda Aceh. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, expert validation questionnaires, and pretest and posttest tests. The results of the study showed that the developed animated video-based teaching media obtained validation scores from material experts of 88%, language experts of 88%, and media experts of 94% with a very valid category. Then, the test results showed an increase in students' conceptual understanding as seen from the average pretest score of 55.6 increasing to 93.6 in the posttest. Thus, animated video-based teaching media is very suitable for use to improve students' conceptual understanding in science learning

Abstract

Rendahnya keterlibatan dan motivasi siswa akibat metode pembelajaran konvensional menjadi tantangan utama pendidikan di tingkat Sekolah Dasar (SD). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas media Game-Based Learning (GBL) sebagai inovasi pembelajaran di SD melalui studi kepustakaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik studi pustaka, di mana data dikumpulkan dari Google Scholar dan Google Books dengan kata kunci "efektivitas", "game based learning", dan "inovasi pembelajaran" dalam rentang waktu sepuluh tahun terakhir. Hasil analisis terhadap berbagai literatur menunjukkan bahwa integrasi media game seperti wordwall, powtoon, dan flashcard secara signifikan meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif dan motivasi intrinsik siswa. Temuan empiris mencatat peningkatan hasil belajar matematika dan sains yang tajam serta perbaikan interaksi kelas secara sistemik. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa GBL merupakan inovasi pembelajaran yang aplikatif dan mampu memodifikasi teori konstruktivisme tradisional menjadi konstruktivisme digital yang relevan bagi generasi alfa. Implikasi penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya kompetensi digital guru dan dukungan infrastruktur teknologi dalam keberhasilan transformasi pendidikan di SD.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students’ critical thinking skills in science and social learning (IPAS) in the fifth grade of SD Negeri Lamklat. The background of this study is based on the low level of students’ critical thinking skills, which is caused by teacher-centered learning processes and the lack of emphasis on problem-solving activities.This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The research design used was a pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. The population of this study consisted of all fifth-grade students of SD Negeri Lamklat, with samples divided into an experimental class and a control class. Data collection techniques included a critical thinking skills test and observation sheets. Data analysis was conducted using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing using an independent sample t-test. The results of the study indicate that there is a significant effect of the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students’ critical thinking skills. This is evidenced by the significance value obtained being greater than 0.05, leading to the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (Ha) and the rejection of the null hypothesis (H0). Therefore, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model is effective in improving students’ critical thinking skills in IPAS learning in the fifth grade of SD Negeri Lamklat.
