Abstract

In the industrial era 4.0, information and communication technology can be used optimally to achieve good efficiency, almost all industries and agencies have used digital media. In the world of education, technology is developing rapidly after the Covid-19 pandemic, because the pandemic has forced digital changes in the world of education and we need a good understanding and knowledge about the types of students who use digital technology in the learning process. Information and communication technology is a multimedia-based learning medium technology involving text, images, sound, video and the internet. From this background, there are 2 formulations of the problem How do teachers use information and communication technology in the learning process and what are the factors that become obstacles when using ICT. This research is qualitative research and data collection is done using observation, interview tests, student assessment questionnaires against teachers and documentation. This research was conducted to analyze professional teachers who are competent in using information and communication technology in the learning process. The subjects and informants of this study were English teachers and students of class X Mia 1 and Mipa 2. The conclusion obtained after conducting interviews with English teachers and students is that in almost every meeting they use information and communication technology as a learning medium to assist teachers in explaining or describing the material to be taught so that students can easily understand the material presented and motivate students to be more creative and active in the process of learning and learning by =using information and communication technology to, help students find broader information and make it easier for them to communicate during the learning process. English teachers are sufficiently proficient in ICT-based learning media when the learning takes and use media according to the teaching material.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out whether there is an influence of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on the learning outcomes of science students regarding plant morphology in class IV at Miftahul Jannah Banyuasin. The method used is quasi experimental design, a form of design that uses non-equivalent control group design. The population of this study was all fourth grade students. Meanwhile, the samples in this research were students in classes IV.A and IV.B with a total of 60 students. The data collection technique is carried out using tests. The data analysis technique used is the t test (independent t test). The results of the research show that the results of the hypothesis using the t-test on both groups with the results obtained, the tcount = 3.60 while the ttable value = 2045, thus tcount > ttable (3.60 > 2045) which means the working hypothesis (Ha) in This research was accepted, namely the results of science learning material on plant morphology for class IV students. This proves that there is an influence of the problem based learning model on the science learning outcomes of plant morphology material for class IV MI (Miftahul Jannah) Banyuasin students.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate university students' perspectives regarding the implementation of classroom debating strategies to enhance speaking skills. This study employed a descriptive qualitative methodology involving the distribution of questionnaires, conducting interviews, and gathering documentation. To assess the data, the researcher employed a 5-point Likert scale, which contained twenty items in the questionnaire and five questions during the interview session. Thirty-six respondents completed a full questionnaire, while eight students participated in an interview session with detailed questions. The findings of this study indicate that university students possess favorable attitudes regarding the utilization of classroom debate strategies to enhance their speaking skills. The debate effectively motivated students to enhance their speaking skills and improve several elements of speaking, including vocabulary, pronunciation, fluency, comprehension, and grammar. University students encounter numerous hurdles in executing classroom debating strategies, including difficulties in defining the motion, articulating reasons, formulating rebuttals to opponents' arguments, structuring logical and coherent discourse, and managing uneasiness and anxiety during presentations.

Abstract

This research aims to develop virtual animated video-based teaching media to increase students' interest in learning and understanding in English teaching and learning activities in class VIII SMP Fitra Abdi Palembang. The method used in this research is research and development with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Trials using a questionnaire showed that this media was very interesting with a percentage of 91.9% according to the attractiveness criteria. The results of the pre-test and post-test conducted on 30 students showed significant improvement. In the pre-test, only 7 students achieved scores according to the criteria for completeness of learning outcomes. After learning using virtual animated videos, 28 students achieved scores above the criteria for learning completeness (70), while 2 students were still below these criteria. The overall class avera1ge increased to 79.3. It can be concluded that virtual English video animation media is effective and successful in improving student learning outcomes and their interest in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate on online platforms in English language teaching at SMP Fitra Abdi Palembang. The research focused on eighth – grade students at SMP Fitra Abdi Palembang of the 2023/2024 academic year, with the total of 31 students. The researchers using a descriptive qualitative research method that typically involves detailed data to provide a comprehensive understood of a phenomenon. And utilized the data collection techniques with a questionnaire, and interviews. Additionally, the results of the questionnaires showed 3305 of a total score of, indicated that students used online platforms in learned English. In conclusion showed that most eighth – grade students at SMP Fitra Abdi Palembang used the Duolingo app to learned English instead of used Hello Talk app and Beelinguapp.

Abstract

ABSTRAC This study aims to determine the application of the outing class learning method to student learning independence in science learning class V Elementary School. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach with research instruments obtained from data collection techniques, namely by conducting field observations or observations, interviews, questionnaires/questions, and documentation. Then the data obtained were analyzed using data analysis techniques through the following stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/verification. This research was conducted in class V SD Negeri 95 Palembang has two observation indicators, namely: the school environment and learning independence. Based on the data obtained, the class V teacher had applied the outing class learning method to independent learning in science learning, obtaining a percentage of 73% with good criteria. The conclusion from this study is that the application of the outing class learning method to learning independence in science learning has been well implemented. Keywords: Outing Class Method, Independent Learning, Science ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya penerapan metode pembelajaran outing class terhadap kemandirian belajar siswa pada pembelajara IPA kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif dengan instrumen penelitian yang diperoleh dari teknik pengumpulan data yakni dengan melakukan pengamatan lapangan atau observasi, wawancara, kuesioner/angket, dan dokumentasi. Kemudian data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis data melalui beberapa tahapan berikut : reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas V SD Negeri 95 Palembang memiliki dua indikator pengamatan yaitu : lingkungan sekolah dan kemandirian belajar. Berdasarkan data yang di peroleh guru kelas V sudah menerapkan metode pembelajaran outing class terhadap kemandirian belajar pada pembelajaran IPA memperoleh presentase sebesar 73% dengan kriteria baik. Simpulan dari penelitian ini ialah penerapan metode pembelajaran outing class terhadap kemandirian belajar pada pembelajara IPA sudah diterapkan secara baik. Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the speed reading method to reading skills in Indonesian language learning for fifth grade students at SD Negeri 31 Palembang. The type of research used by researchers is descriptive with a quantitative approach, the design used in this study is pre-exsperimental (non-designs) with the type of “pre-test and post-test one group design”, namely research using only one class without any comparison class or control class. The population and sample of this study are the population of all students from class I to class VI of SD Negeri 31 Palembang, totaling 251 people and the sample is class V, totaling 20 people. Data was collected using observation and also tests, the data collected was analyzed using pretest and posttest. The results of the study showed that the results of reading ability before being taught using speed reading reached the high category. So it can be concluded that the speed reading method can be used to improve reading skills, some of the advantages are that it can activate students during the learning process, attract students’ attention and facilitate student understanding. Abstract

Keterampilan menulis permulaan merupakan keterampilan yang harus dikuasai oleh siswa sejak dini karena keterampilan menulis permulaan merupakan suatu keterampilan yang sangat mendasar bagi siswa kelas I Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana dan sejauh mana keterampilan menulis kalimat sederhana siswa SDN 162 Palembang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. objek pada penelitian ini adalah keterampilan menulis permulaan. Informasi pada penelitian ini ada 2 yaitu siswa sebagai informan kunci, guru kelas sebagai informan utama. hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengumpulan data jawaban siswa sebanyak 28 siswa dari tiap kelas I.A dan I.B menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan menulis permulaan yang meliputi 4 aspek : kerapian tulisan, ketepatan penulisan huruf, menggunakan ejaan yang tepat, dan kelengkapan kata pada kelas I.A dengan perolehan skor 2,265 yang apabila dipresentasekan maka hasilnya adalah 80,89% dan kelas I.B dengan perolehan skor 2,300 yang apabila dipresentasekan maka hasilnya adalah 82,14%. Sehingga keterampilan menulis permulaan termasuk dalam kategori baik.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika merupakan salah satu mata pelajaran yang dianggap sulit bagi banyak siswa. Sehingga banyak siswa yang memiliki persepsi yang kurang baik terhadap matematika. Berdasarkan hal tesesebut maka masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana persepsi siswa terhadap penerapan model game based learning pada pembelajaran matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi siswa terhadap penerapan model game based learning pada pembelajaran matematika. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi siswa terhadap penerapan model game based learning adalah sangat baik. Hal ini berdasarkan hasil wawancara dan angket dengan hasil wawancara 19 siswa memiliki perepsi yang baik dan 7 siswa memiliki persepsi yang memiliki cukup baik. Selain itu hasil angket memiliki 20 siswa yang memiliki persepsi sangat baik dan 6 siswa memiliki persepsi yang baik. Sehingga persepsi siswa terhadap penerapan model game based learning pada pembelajaran matematika adalah sangat baik.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to ascertain and describe the learning outcomes in the subject of Social Studies (IPS) after the implementation of the Auditory, Intellectually, Repetition (AIR) model in Grade IV at SDN 76 Palembang. The research methodology employed was experimental, utilizing a true experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research analysis revealed that the average pre-learning outcomes for students in the experimental group were 66.16, which improved significantly to 87.3 after the implementation of the Auditory, Intellectually, Repetition (AIR) model. In contrast, the average pre-learning outcomes for students in the control group were 65.34, with a modest increase to 69.22 after traditional teaching methods without the use of the AIR model. Statistical calculations yielded a calculated t-value (t-test) of 1.79, surpassing the critical t-value (t-table) of 1.67. Consequently, the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. This signifies that the implementation of the Auditory, Intellectually, Repetition (AIR) model led to improved student learning outcomes in the subject of IPS at SDN 76 Palembang.
