Abstract

Rapid urban growth has caused an increase of infrastructure and building construction projects in recent years in terms of project scale and number. Many of which certainly involve the construction of deep foundation, including pile foundation. In particularly densely populated urban areas, the need for more environmentally friendly pile driving equipment, such as hydraulic static pile driver (HSPD), is therefore inevitable. The aim of this study is to give a problem solving about HSPD productivity using analytical model. The objective of this study is to produce curves model of HSPD productivity. An analytical model has been designed utilizing 252 data of point piling from the four projects and simulation, i.e. size of driven piles, piling depth, and cycle time. The result of model is nomogram of HSPD productivity against piling depth for 3 driven pile size such as equilateral triangle 32 cm, square 25 cm, and square 30 cm. The model average validity is 96.07% and deviation standard is 2.32%. The sensitivity value 95.154% for equilateral triangle 32 cm, 9.376 for square 25 cm, and 94.298% for square 30 cm of driven pile.

Abstract

Assessment of contractor satisfaction towards client performance of government-funded construction projects in Semarang. Research conducted to identify client performance that cause dissatisfaction. Six indicators were used i.e: understanding of project requirements, finance, decision making, management skills, support to contractor, attitude which developed into variable. The contractor satisfaction assessment obtained from Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) method. Results of analysis client satisfaction performance level and determine the variables that are to be improved. The results can be used as feedback for clients to improve their performance in construction project.

Abstract

Reworks on construction projects caused by errors in planning, working procedure errors, lack of supervision makes the results of work are not in accordance with the initial design and the construction. They can result in some of loss, such as cost, time, quality of work, and a decreased motivation. This study intends to evaluate the rework on the building construction project in Semarang with the aim to identifying the causative factor of rework, to knowing the magnitude of the risk and the impact caused of rework, knowing the parties responsible for the occurrence of rework and to find a solution to minimize it. A method of gathering data is done by conducting preliminary interviews to 6 companies construction in Semarang and spread of the questionnaires to the 60 respondents, but the application answered as much as 41 questionnaires. The risk management framework was used to determine the impact of rework on the construction project in terms of time and costs with a scale of 1-5. The results showed that the most dominant factor causes rework is a managerial factors. The type of work that is often experienced on rework is finishing and complementary. the greatest impact of rework on finishing work and complementary, with the impact on the time at 3.65 and the impact on the cost at 3.21. Parties responsible if rework occurs as a whole according to the perspective of the respondents there was party contractor amounted to 79.16%. The solution to minimizes rework effectivelly is to improve communication, supervision in the field, improve teamwork between the parties.

Abstract

The condition of buildings in the Semarang City, still needs to improve in reliability, this is because there are already several examples of building failures building before the design life, even up to swallow the casualties. From these problems the Government provides a solution in the form of SLF (certificate suitable function). SLF is a certificate issued by the local government to declare the reliability of a building, before the building is utilized / used. SLF was first listed on the Act No. 28 of 2002 regarding Building, Government Regulation No.36, and guidelines made by the Ministry of Public Works SLF 25 / PRT / 2007. Boundary problem in the research is the implementation of the SLF predicament for government-owned buildings in the city of Semarang by considering the function of government-owned buildings used for public purposes, while giving precedence to SLF buildings intended for public use such as: offices, schools and hospitals. For the implementation of the SLF field still constrained some major factors such as ownership of IMB is still minimal, as well as regulation of the mayors of Semarang on the SLF has not been established. To overcome the existing problems then use SWOT analysis. The use of SWOT aims to find an overview of the strategies of existing problems. In a SWOT analysis and supporting data needed SLF implementation constraints, which are then classified based on the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. After classifying the data and then given the weight of each. From the results incorporated into the subsequent weighting diagram SWOT analysis and obtained turnaround strategy. This strategy shows that the condition of SLF in Semarang is located on opportunities and weaknesses. Then, in solving problems SLF in the city of Semarang is by taking advantage of opportunities to minimize the weaknesses. One example of this strategy is effective immediately sanction available to the public in violation because of the passage of sanctions yet.

Abstract

Jalan Raya Pantura sering mengalami kerusakan yang disebabkan oleh berbagai macam faktor. Seperti halnya Jalan Raya Timur Kendal yang berada pada jalur Pantura, jalan tersebut mengalami kerusakan secara periodik di setiap tahun. Banjir yang terjadi pada daerah tersebut juga membantu merusak jalan secara signifikan. Perlu dilakukannya penelitian untuk mengetahui kondisi dari jalan Raya Timur Kendal agar kerusakan yang terjadi setiap tahun dapat diatasi dengan menggunakan metode yang tepat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis kondisi kegagalan perkerasan Jalan Raya Timur Kendal. Metodologi penelitian ini adalah membandingkan nilai kemampuan pelayanan jalan kondisi saat ini dengan nilai kemampuan pelayanan akhir jalan  sehingga didapatkan kondisi apakah Jalan Raya Timur Kendal berada pada kondisi normal, kritis atau gagal. Hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa sebanyak 81% ruas jalan mengalami kondisi gagal dan 19% mengalami kondisi normal.

Abstract

Safety and health problems in Indonesia is still underestimated, as it is evident from the number of place accidents that occur mainly in the construction sector. Based on the report of the International Labor Organitation (ILO), every day of work accidents resulting in as many as 6,000 cases of fatal victims. While in Indonesia there are 20 fatal accidents in every 100  thousand workers in the construction sector (Reuters, Tuesday, January 15, 2013).This research will examine on safety and health hazard identification, risk assessment and how to control safety and health risks that exist on the work of bottom and top structure of high rise building construction, methods of assessment using the risk assessment matrix derived from the NHS Highland adopted by AS / NZS 4360: 2004 Risk Management. From the results of this study obtained that were classified as high risk amounted to 7 risk (11.67%), medium risk amounted to 43 risk (71.67%) and low risk amounted to 10 risk (16.67%). Seven risk categories of high risk is the risk of falling from a height while preparing formwork beams and floor plate with a risk index of 14.36, workers buried by an avalanche while excavation work with a risk index of 12.67, falling from a height due to timber formwork porous material with a risk index of 11.55, fell from a height while the preparation of scaffolds with a risk index of 11.22, risk of falling material while lifting material with a risk index of 11.02, electric shock when excavation work with a risk index of 10.49 and risk of falling from height when installing formwork column with a risk index of 10.36. from identification and assessment risk found that top structure of high rise building construction has more risk and average risk index greater than under structure of high rise building construction.

Abstract

One of risk of multi years project contract is price adjustment. So, the government issued rules regarding price adjustments through Presidential Decree No. 70/2012 Article 92 that completes the previous rules. Rules about the price adjustment are described in more detail in the contract documents. This situation has led to the price adjustment calculations between different projects. The purpose of this study is to analyze the value of an escalation in the ongoing work items in Jatigede DamProject and Jatibarang Dam Project. Hopefully, through this research, regulation application number 70/2012 on contract documents related to price adjustment.The research was conducted by interview, field observation and simulation calculations based of Jatigede Dam Project and Jatibarang Dam Project contract documents  in data processing. Jatibarang Dam Project assign the value of contract component based on HPS (Owner Cost Estimate) from survey and set the index of economic indicators published by BPS. Jatigede Dam Projectassigns a value based on the cost factor analysis and establishes the unit price indices through the Wholesale Price Index and Consumer Price Index in Cirebon City. This research simulates the price adjustment by exchanging contract documents on both projects with the volume of work in March 2011 and April 2011. Simulation methods on Jatibarang Project generate escalations value 15.69% and 15.44% from the value of escalation methods Jatigede Dam Project. Simulation methods Jatigede Dam Project escalation generate value 175.03% and 161.35% of the value of escalation with methods Jatibarang Dam Project.

Abstract

The construction is part of the largest contributor to emissions of CO2. The concept of green construction  is one of the business that can minimize negative impact on the environment in the process of construction . The research objective are to analyze and to evaluate the application of green construction on housing development of Beranda Bali by PT Mikroland Property Development. The methods used in this study is interviews , observation , and documentation. It is done by observing the application of green construction approaches with the underlying indicator of planning and scheduling, resource and material cycles, protection, waste management, construction, material storage, manifesting a work place eco friendly, the selection and operation of construction tools, training for sub contractor, air quality, documentation, health and convenience, environmental, management project the reduction of the ecological, foot print, water conservation, land use, energy efficiency and conservation in the green construction factors. The data processing is done by comparing the results of the research data with factors of green construction in PT.Pembangunan Perumahan, Green Building Council Indonesia (2012). The results obtained are there are 10 applications have been applied by PT Mikroland Property Development which include planning and schedulling, resource and material cycle, the protection of job sites, construction waste management, material storage, manifesting a work place eco friendly, water conservation, the reduction of the ecological foot print, appropriate land use, energy efficiency and conservation. Abstract

Work on the building project requires a material that is more complex and involves many parties so that the building project has a high complexity compared to other civilian buildings. One of the complexity of such problems in the procurement of materials. Some of the things that causes this problem is the existence of an uncertainty in the supply of construction materials. Reinforcement steel is the main ingredient in development , especially the construction of the building. The need of reinforcing steel required at each work ranging from foundation work , beams , plates and columns. Therefore, the availability of steel reinforcement is a major priority so that there should be no delay in procurement. Delays of this material may be caused by uncertainties in procurement activity. Uncertainties in the procurement of materials sourced from four stages: stage supply chain activities supply, control, process, and demand. The stages of the supply chain to be a reference to analyze the possibility of delays in the procurement of a material. Thus, this study aims to determine how much time minimum and maximum time delay procurement of materials, the maximum possible delay in work activities and work activities that are most likely and dominant risk that affects the delay procurement of materials for steel material. The major delays in the procurement of material obtained from the analysis of probability and risk impact with monte carlo method and application assistance crystal ball. In the procurement of steel material analysis showed that a minimum delay of 2.20 days,17.05 days maximum, the maximum possible delay in work activities 15.05 days, and delays in work activities that are most likely 9.24 days. Sources of risk that affect the delay is on the demand stage that ordering additional material due to design changes, material delivery delays due to financial problems, and ordering additional material due to changes of function space.

Abstract

Proyek kereta cepat Jakarta – Bandung dikerjakan oleh PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China yang merupakan badan usaha International Joint Venture antara konsorsium dari China yaitu China Railway Engineering Corporation dengan konsorsium BUMN Republik Indonesia. Skema pendanaan proyek tersebut menggunakan sistem business to business yang menghabiskan dana mencapai Rp306 triliun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis risiko yang mempengaruhi investasi proyek tersebut dalam aspek finansial. Terdapat empat tahapan analisis dalam penelitian ini yakni identifikasi risiko, evaluasi risiko, uji hipotesis dan kuantifikasi risiko. Setelah dilakukan identifikasi risiko oleh pakar, maka diperoleh 31 risiko yang dinilai relevan untuk mungkin terjadi dan mempengaruhi investasi proyek kereta cepat. Selanjutnya pada tahap evaluasi risiko dapat ditentukan risiko dengan tingkat risiko “High” berjumlah 6 risiko atau sebesar 19%, “Medium” berjumlah 19 risiko atau 62%, dan “Low” berjumlah 6 risiko atau 19%. Tahap terakhir adalah kuantifikasi risiko yang menghasilkan besaran pengaruh risiko terhadap biaya konstruksi sebesar 2,23%, terhadap biaya perawatan sebesar 2,17%, terhadap biaya operasional sebesar 1,68%, dan terhadap biaya total sebesar 3,1%. Risiko tersebut juga mempengaruhi pendapatan kereta cepat sebesar 1,62%.
