Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of the amoeba breeding context and to produce students' learning trajectories in learning rank numbers through a guided inquiry learning model using Google Jamboard. This research method uses Design Research (DR), which includes 3 stages: preliminary design), experimental design, and retrospective analysis. The research begins with a literature review and designing the HLT. The learning design was prepared based on the HLT which was then tested through 2 stages, namely the pilot experiment and teaching experiment. A retrospective analysis was performed at each stage by comparing the initial HLT with the actual learning trajectory. The data collection techniques used were observation, recording of learning activities during experimental design, giving LKPD, giving evaluation questions, and interviews. This research was conducted on students of SMP Negeri 5 Tasikmalaya class IX-B at the pilot experiment and IX-A at the teaching experiment. The results of this study indicate that the role of the Amoeba breeding context can help facilitate students to build basic concepts in finding the concept of exponent number material. In addition, a learning trajectory is produced that can help students understand the concept of rank number material, with the context of Amoeba breeding through guided inquiry using Google Jamboard.

Abstract

Activities for implementing the Community Service Program Featured Study Program Scheme (PbM-PUPS) by the Mathematics Education Department towards the High School Mathematics MGMP which is implemented in the form of "Workshop: Development of Independent Curriculum Based Learning Tools Through the PJBL Model for High School Mathematics MGMP Teachers throughout the City of Tasikmalaya", provide benefits and convenience for teachers in compiling teaching materials, Student Worksheets, and evaluation tools that will be used in learning, provide opportunities for mathematics teachers to gather, discuss, and share their experiences and knowledge in teaching mathematics and discuss changes or development of the independent curriculum, and discussing how to implement this curriculum well and effectively in mathematics learning in the classroom.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran ARCS (Attention, Relevance, Confidence, dan Satisfaction) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Model ARCS menekankan empat prinsip, yaitu menarik perhatian, mengaitkan materi dengan kehidupan nyata, meningkatkan kepercayaan diri, dan memberikan kepuasan belajar. Banyak siswa SMP Negeri 7 Tasikmalaya masih mengalami kesulitan dalam memecahkan masalah matematika, padahal kemampuan ini sangat penting dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasi-eksperimental dengan rancangan posttest-only nonequivalent control group. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII, dengan kelas VII A sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan VII C sebagai kelompok kontrol yang dipilih melalui cluster random sampling. Tes esai digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan SPSS versi 22 menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,014 < 0,05, sehingga terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelompok. Kelompok eksperimen memperoleh skor rata-rata posttest lebih tinggi daripada kelompok kontrol. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran ARCS dinyatakan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Secara tidak langsung, hasil penelitian ini berkontribusi terhadap masyarakat melalui peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran matematika di sekolah. Peningkatan tersebut dapat membentuk siswa yang lebih terampil dalam memecahkan masalah, sehingga mampu menerapkan kemampuan matematisnya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.Kata Kunci: Model Pembelajaran ARCS, Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis
