Abstract

Selada (Lactuca sativa) merupakan tanaman hortikultura yang banyak dibudidayakan petani secara intensif. Tanaman tersebut merupakan tanaman semusim yang dapat di budidayakan di daerah lembab, dingin, dataran rendah maupun dataran tinggi. Penelitian ini merupakan percobaan Faktorial dengan 2 faktor yang disusun menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Faktor pertama adalah dosis Kompos Azolla (K) yang terdiri atas 4 taraf dosis dan faktor kedua adalah dosis pupuk urea (U) yang terdiri atas 4 taraf dosis. Perlakuan kombinasi dari dua perlakuan dihasilkan 16 kombinasi perlakuan yang masing-masing diulang 3 kali, sehingga terdapat 48 satuan percobaan, dimana masing-masing satuan percobaan diamati 3 tanaman. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh menurunya jumlah produksi tanaman selada setiap tahunya. Penurunan nilai produksi selada dikaitkan dengan buruknya teknik budidaya yang dilakukan. Kompos Azolla dan pupuk urea menjadi solusi terbaik untuk meningkatkan jumlah prosuktifitas tanaman selada serta meminimalisir peggunaan pupuk kimia yang berlebihan.

Abstract

Panglungan Village located in Wonosalam District, Jombang, with an altitude of 500 m above sea level, an area of 6.89 km2, and a population of 3,381 people. Most of the people's livelihoods rely on forest products such as coffee, durian, and avocado and a small portion come from dry land. The Panglungan Village community is part of the Forest Farmers Group (KTH) “U.D. Abadi Berkah Porang”, started to build porang nurseries, still on a household scale. The purpose of developing nurseries is to create alternative sources of livelihood that can be developed in the Panglungan Village area and its surroundings. Partner problems are 1). Farmers find it difficult to get porang seeds 2). Farmers' skills in Porang nurseries are still lacking 3). Quality porang seeds are not yet available, 4). The role of KTH “U.D. Abadi Berkah Porang” is not yet optimal. The solution to the problem is 1) Producing porang seedlings, 2). Assisting porang nurseries 3). Assistance with porang seed certification, 4). Empowering KTH "Abadi Berkah Porang" to play a role in helping to increase the economic capacity of the community through porang nurseries. The conclusion of community service activities is using seeds from porang seeds, 50 thousand porang seeds planted, assistance in making demonstration plots for purification of the Madiun-1 variety covering an area of 500 m2, the potential for porang nurseries to increase economic capacity is quite promising. Recommendations for future seed development are required to increase the number of seeds to meet other areas.

Abstract

The konjac plant (Amorphophallus oncophyllus Prain.) contains high glucomannan with many benefits.  This experiment aimed to study effect of paclobutrazol dose and seedling size on the growth and yield of konjac plants.  The research was arranged factorially based on a Completely Randomized Design with two factor.  The first factor (paclobutrazol dose) consisted of P0: 0.0 g/plant, P1: 0.05 g/plant, P2: 0.10 g/plant, P3: 0.15 g/plant, P4: 0.20 g/plant.  The second factor (seed size) consisted of U1: 20-50 g/seed, U2: 100-150 g/seed, U3: 200-250 g/seed. Observation parameters included plant height, canopy diameter, stem diameter, stem sturdiness, number of buds, weight and diameter of tubers.  Results showed that paclobutrazol dose of 0.20 g/plant had a significant effect on stem sturdiness, weight and diameter of the tubers. The maximum of tuber weight obtained by paclobutrazol application of 0.2 g/plant was estimated to be 1,533 g with tuber diameter of 167 mm.  Small size seed (20-50 g) produced the largest number of buds and did not differ markedly from those of medium size seed (100-150 g).  Large size seed (200-250 g) produced the best konjac plants in term of canopy diameter, stem sturdiness, weight and diameter of tubers. Keywords : Dosage, Konjac, Paclobutrazol, Seed Size, Tuber Size

Abstract

This study aims to determine the best of combination treatment of pruning type and concentration of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) on the growth and yield of pepper plants whose production is still low and has not yet achieved its production potential which can reach 20 tons/ha. The factorial study with 2 factors was arranged in a completely randomized design (CRD) which was repeated 3 times. The first factor is the type of pruning (P) which consists of 3 levels, namely: P0 = Not pruned (control), P1 = Pruning shoot tip, P2 = Pruning axillary shoot, while the second factor is the concentration of LOF NASA which consists of 3 levels , namely: K0 = 0 ml/l (control), K1 = 2 ml/l, and K2 = 4 ml/l. The results showed that there was a significant interaction between the combination of shoot pruning treatment and LOF NASA concentration on the number of branches and the number of productive branches. The combination of shoot trimming treatment and LOF NASA concentration of 2 ml/l water (P1K1) resulted in the best growth of pepper. Meanwhile, the single factor type of shoot tip pruning (P1) and LOF NASA concentration of 2 ml/l (K1) produced the best number of fruits and fruit weight of papper compared to other treatments.

Abstract

Tomat merupakan komoditi hortikultura yang memiliki kandungan gizi tinggi sehingga banyak dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat. Manfaat dan kandungan gizi yang dimiliki buah tomat yang tinggi menyebabkan permintaan pasar terhadap tomat setiap tahunnya mengalami peningkatan. Peningkatan hasil produksi tanaman tomat dapat diupayakan melalui pemupukan yang tepat. Pelaksanaan penelitian bertempat di Desa Bulurejo, Diwek, Jombang pada bulan Februari-Juni 2023. Rancangan percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan dua faktor. Faktor pertama yaitu pupuk NPK (16 gram/tanaman, 24 gram/tanaman, 32 gram/tanaman, dan 40 gram/tanaman). Faktor kedua yaitu POC DI Grow (tanpa POC DI Grow, 4 ml/tanaman, 8 ml/tanaman dan 12 ml/tanaman). Hasil penelitian dan analisis data mengungkapkan bahwa kombinasi dosis pupuk NPK 32 gram/tanaman dan POC DI Grow 12 ml/tanaman menghasilkan jumlah daun umur 28 hst terbanyak dan umur berbunga tercepat. Pemberian dosis pupuk NPK 32 gram/tanaman cenderung menghasilkan rata-rata terbaik pada parameter pengamatan vegetatif tanaman, sedangkan dosis 40 gram/tanaman cenderung memberikan hasil rata-rata terbaik pada parameter pengamatan generatif tanaman. Pada pemberian dosis POC DI Grow 12 ml/tanaman memberikan hasil rata-rata terbaik pada seluruh parameter yang diamati. sedangkan dosis 40 gram/tanaman cenderung memberikan hasil rata-rata terbaik pada parameter observasi generatif tanaman. Abstract

Tujuan kajian ini mengembangkan agroindustri bibit unggul, budidaya, kelembagaan petani dan pemasaran, serta peta kapasitas produksi dan areal budidaya porang. Motodologi yang digunakan meliputi 4 kerangka model, yaitu: agroindustri pembibitan, pengembangan budidaya, kelembagaan petani dan pemasaran, serta pemetaan kapasitas produksi pabrik. Hasil kajian menunjukkan: Agroindustri bibit unggul dilakukan melalui perbanyakan spora, katak dan umbi. Pengembangan budidaya porang di Jawa Timur terdapat di 29 Kabupaten dengan luas area budidaya 36.616 ha dan 5 Kabupaten dengan luas areal lebih dari 1.000 ha, diantaranya: Trenggalek, Madiun, Jember, Ponorogo dan Pacitan. Kapasitas produksi 17 perusahaan pengolah umbi menjadi chips, tepung, beras, mie dan tahu sebesar 266.250 ton/tahun. Model tata niaga porang di Jawa Timur meliputi: Pemasaran langsung umbi produksi dan bibit (umbi dan katak). Pemasaran tidak langsung berupa bibit. Model Supply Chain Management agroindustri porang yang proporsional antara petani, pengepul, pabrik dan distributor.

Abstract

Background: The purple eggplant is a vegetable commodity that highly favored by many people due to it is delicious taste and benefical nutrition content for health. The demand of purple eggplants increased significantly every year, but it is often not matched by an increase in production caused by poor cultivation. The increased production can be achieved through several efforts, one of which is fertilization with organic materials. This research aims to determine the optimal combination and concentration of each treatment for the application of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) and biological fertilizer which can provides the best influence on plant growth and yield of purple eggplant. Methods: This research used a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors. The first factor was the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer (N) divided into 3 levels, consists of 0 ml/l (N0), 4 ml/l (N1), and 8 ml/l (N2). The second factor was the concentration of bio-fertilizer (P) divided into 4 levels, consists of 0 ml/l (P0), 10 ml/l (P1), 20 ml/l (P2) and 30 ml/l (P3). Results: The result indicated that the concentration of 8 ml/l LOF and 30 ml/l bio-fertilizer was able to increase the number of leaves, total flowers per plant, total fruits per plant, and total fruits fresh weight per plant. Conclusions: This Research can be concluded that the concentration of 8 ml/l LOF and 30 ml/l bio-fertilizer gave the best effect on purple eggplants.

Abstract

Background: Increasing the productivity of Chili pepper plants can be done by pruning shoots and using trichotomous biofertilizer as an alternative to chemical fertilizers. This study aims to determine the effect of treating shoot pruning age and adding trichotomous doses on Chili pepper plant yields. Methods: This experiment used a Randomized Block Design with two factors. The first factor is the age of shoot pruning, which consists of 4 treatment levels, namely P0 = No pruning, P1 = shoot pruning 14 HST, P2 = shoot pruning 21 HST, P3 = shoot pruning 28 HST and trichotomous dose as the second factor consisting of 4 treatment levels, namely T0 = Without trichotomous, T1 = 600g/plant, T2 = 800 g/plant, and T3 = 1000 g/plant, so that 16 treatment combinations were obtained with three replications. Results: The results showed that the combination of pruning age treatment of 28 HST and trichotomous dose of 800g/plant produced the best number of flowers. A pruning age of 28 HST gave the best results on the number of leaves, leaf area, productive branches, total number of fruits per plant, and total fruit weight per plant. A trichotomous dose of 800 g/plant gave the best results on plant height, number of productive branches, total number of fruits per plant, and total fruit weight per plant. Conclusion: The pruning age of shoots and trichotomous doses affect the yield of Chili pepper plants.

Abstract

The study aimed to obtain the best combination of growing media composition and the concentration of foliar fertilizer (Gandasil B) on the yield quality of eggplant. The research was conducted from December 2022 to February 2023 in Nganjuk Regency, using a completely randomized design of two factors. The first factor was composition of the growing media, which comprised of soil:husk charcoal:cow manure with ratios of (1:1:1), (1:1:2), (1:2:1), and (2:1:1), and the second factor was the concentration of foliar fertilizer (0, 2, 4, 6 g/L). The results exhibited that the combination of (1:2:1) medium growing composition and the 2 g/L concentration of foliar fertilizer produced the best fruit diameter with an increase of 22.35% compared to the combination of growing media (1:1:1) and concentration of foliar fertilizer of 2 g/L. The composition of the soil growing medium 1:2:1 gave the best results on fruit length and diameter, average fruit weight, and total fruit weight per plant. A quadratic regression analysis of the concentration of foliar fertilizer and the number of purple eggplant fruits showed that the highest concentration of foliar fertilizer was 5.78 g/L.
