Abstract

Tujuan kajian ini mengembangkan agroindustri bibit unggul, budidaya, kelembagaan petani dan pemasaran, serta peta kapasitas produksi dan areal budidaya porang. Motodologi yang digunakan meliputi 4 kerangka model, yaitu: agroindustri pembibitan, pengembangan budidaya, kelembagaan petani dan pemasaran, serta pemetaan kapasitas produksi pabrik. Hasil kajian menunjukkan: Agroindustri bibit unggul dilakukan melalui perbanyakan spora, katak dan umbi. Pengembangan budidaya porang di Jawa Timur terdapat di 29 Kabupaten dengan luas area budidaya 36.616 ha dan 5 Kabupaten dengan luas areal lebih dari 1.000 ha, diantaranya: Trenggalek, Madiun, Jember, Ponorogo dan Pacitan. Kapasitas produksi 17 perusahaan pengolah umbi menjadi chips, tepung, beras, mie dan tahu sebesar 266.250 ton/tahun. Model tata niaga porang di Jawa Timur meliputi: Pemasaran langsung umbi produksi dan bibit (umbi dan katak). Pemasaran tidak langsung berupa bibit. Model Supply Chain Management agroindustri porang yang proporsional antara petani, pengepul, pabrik dan distributor.

Abstract

To solve the challenges of the urban agriculture system, urban farming is a viable option. RT 02 RW 04, located in Penjaringansari Village, Rungkut Subdistrict, Surabaya City, is a group of urban dwellers attempting to survive in difficult circumstances. Vertical gardening (TOGA) development employing vertical farming methods has been chosen to preserve the environment and health. This activity intends to provide help and information transfer, particularly in the growth of TOGA (family medicinal plants) on restricted land as a more effective agricultural alternative. The aid covers planting media selection, seedling, planting, and harvesting. The Edu_DoIt approach (Education and Do It) is used in this community service project, which means education with direct application. The result of this activity is educational vertical gardening in limited spaces. The harvested produce is sold to the local community, providing not only knowledge but also sustainable economic value. This activity has led RW 04 Penjaringansari Surabaya to be nominated as one of the top 500 neighborhoods in Surabaya, demonstrating the residents’ commitment and hard work in improving their environment

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh intensitas peserta didik dalam mengikuti ekstrakurikuler Baca Tulis Quran di Madrasah Diniyah terhadap prestasi pada Mata Pelajaran PAI di SDN 3 Cibeureum Sukamantri Kabupaten Ciamis. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif, karena proses metode tersebut untuk mengungkapkan dan menganalisis serta memberikan gambaran mengenai fakta-fakta yang akan diteliti. Sedangkan dalam pengumpulan data, peneliti menggunakan teknik observasi, angket, dan wawancara. Hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh, bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan antara kegiatan ekstrakurikuler Baca Tulis Quran dengan prestasi belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam. Hal ini terbukti dari harga koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,88 angka tersebut jika di interprestasikan ke dalam interprestasi koefisien korelasi berada antara 0,81100,0 dengan tingkat korelasi cukup. Dan derajat determinasi hubungan sebesar 77% dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,05 diperoleh daftar dalam daftar thitung 4,465. Sedangkan ttabel diperoleh 1,734. Maka Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak, artinya terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara intesitas kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dengan prestasi belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam.

Abstract

Shallots (Allium ascalonicum L.) are cultivated as a high economic value agricultural business. Cutting the tip of the seed bulb can stimulate, accelerate and synchronize plant growth. In hydroponic cultivation, the volume of planting media is an important component that needs to be considered. This research was conducted at the Greenhouse Hydroponic Farm Lamongan, Lamongan District, Lamongan Regency, East Java. Split plot design (RPT) or split plot design in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with the main plot (main plot) the volume of planting media (U) with 3 levels: 10cm (U1), 15cm (U2), 20cm (U3) and sub plots (sub plots) are the size of the cutting of the seed bulbs (P) with 4 levels: not cut (P0), cut 1/4 (P1), cut 1/3 (P2), cut 1/2 (P3). It was found that the treatment of the size of the cutting of the seed bulbs affected the vegetative and generative variables. Meanwhile, the treatment of planting media volume affects generative variables, especially on the number of harvested bulbs per box and the weight of harvested bulbs per box. The most optimal interaction between the combination of the size of cutting seed bulbs and the volume of planting media occurs at the size of cutting seed bulbs of 1/4 part and the volume of planting media of 10 cm, which is able to increase the weight of harvested bulbs per clump.

Abstract

Eggplant plants have a high flower drop rate, resulting in a low fruit set. Potassium fertilizer plays an important role in plant physiology and can help reduce flower drop. This study aims to determine the effect of dosage and frequency of potassium fertilization on the growth and yield of white eggplants. The research was conducted in Mojosari District, Mojokerto Regency, East Java, from December 2023 to March 2024. This research was a factorial study with two factors arranged in a Completely Randomized Design. The first factor is potassium fertilizer dosage, which included 3 levels (3, 6, and 9 g/plant), and the second factor is fertilization frequency, which included 3 levels (2, 3, and 4 times). Results showed that the combination of potassium fertilizer dosage of 9 g/plant with potassium fertilization frequency of 4 times was the best treatment combination for fruit weight per plant, with an increase of 114% compared to the combination of potassium fertilizer dosage of 3 g/plant and potassium fertilization frequency of 2 times.

Abstract

Community empowerment is a strategic effort to enhance the capacity and self-reliance of local groups, particularly women, in supporting development based on regional potential. This program aimed to empower the PKK group in Tanjungan Village, Mojokerto Regency, through the development of an innovative herbal tea product made from globe amaranth flowers (Gomphrena globosa), which are known for their functional health benefits. The activities included assistance in the cultivation, harvesting, and post-harvest handling of globe amaranth flowers; training in herbal tea processing; and support in production and packaging aspects. The results showed that the PKK group members were able to process the flowers into a consumable herbal tea product with appealing presentation and promising market potential. Moreover, the training significantly improved participants’ knowledge regarding the health benefits of globe amaranth and herbal product processing techniques. Pre- and post-training evaluations revealed a 36% increase in participants' knowledge. This initiative also fostered entrepreneurial skills in herbal-based products, offering an alternative source of income for the community. It is expected that this innovation will not only improve local welfare but also support the sustainable development of local potential.

Abstract

Tanjungan Village in Mojokerto Regency has an ecotourism area consisting of a reservoir and a forest, which has not been optimally utilized. The local community also faces limitations in managing their health independently. This community empowerment program aims to enhance health self-sufficiency through the development of a family medicinal plants (TOGA) showcase at Tanjungan Ecotourism. The program involves guidance on designing the layout of the showcase, medicinal plant cultivation techniques, and the implementation of a sprinkler irrigation system to improve water use efficiency. The results indicate a 17% increase in the community’s knowledge and improved skills in planting and maintaining medicinal plants. Additionally, the use of sprinkler irrigation has reduced water consumption by up to 30%, significantly enhancing plant growth. In addition to providing health benefits, the presence of the TOGA showcase also has the potential to boost the village’s tourism appeal. Therefore, the sustainability of this program needs to be maintained through the optimization of medicinal plant utilization and further assistance in post-harvest processing.

Abstract

Melon (Cucumis melo L.) is a horticultural variety widely cultivated in Indonesia due to its sweet taste, nutritional content, and high economic value. This study aimed to determine the optimal concentration and application timing of gibberellin (GA₃) to enhance the growth and yield of Fujisawa melon plants. The research was arranged in a factorial design using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors and four replications. The first factor was gibberellin concentration (0, 50, 100, and 150) ppm, and the second factor was application timing (pre-anthesis, anthesis, and post-anthesis stages). The results showed a significant interaction between gibberellin concentration and application timing on fruit volume. The single treatment of 100 ppm GA₃ had the best effect on plant height, harvest time, and number of fruits formed.

Abstract

Mentimun memiliki banyak manfaat sebagai bahan makanan, bahan obat-obatan dan kecantikan. Kandungan gizi mentimun cukup baik terutama sebagai sumber mineral dan vitamin. Ketersediaan lahan budidaya yang semakin sempit dan terbatas akibat alih fungsi lahan sebagai bangunan perumahan dan industri menjadi kendala. Salah satu solusinya adalah budidaya tanaman dengan menggunakan polibag sebagai wadah dari media tanam, tetapi terdapat kendala dalam budidaya sayuran menggunakan polibag yaitu media tanamnya. Pemberian pupuk NPK dengan proporsi dan dosis yang tepat bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan produksi mentimun. Penelitian ini disusun secara rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) faktorial. M1 = komposisi media tanam tanah tanpa campuran; M2 = tanah : pupuk kandang sapi : arang sekam = 2:1:1; M3 = 1 tanah : 2 pupuk kandang sapi : 1 arang sekam = 1: 2: 1; dan M4 =  tanah : pupuk kandang sapi :  arang sekam = 1 : 1 : 2. Faktor kedua adalah dosis pupuk NPK yang terdiri dari 4 level  yaitu  N1 = 400 kg/ha; N2 = 600 kg/ha; N3 = 800 kg/ha, dan N4 = 1000 kg/ha. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Terdapat pengaruh interaksi yang nyata antara perlakuan komposisi media tanam dan dosis NPK terhadap jumlah buah total panen/tanaman serta bobot buah/tanaman. Interaksi perlakuan yang memberikan hasil terbaik adalah M3N3 atau interaksi perlakuan komposisi media tanam 1 tanah : 2 pupuk kandang sapi : 1 arang sekam + 800 kg/ha, yaitu berturut-turut sebanyak 8.33 buah/tanaman dan 1399.04 g/tanaman.
