Abstract

Abstract.ARIASlearning modelis a cooperative learning which consist five components. They are Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assesment, Satisfaction. The purpose of this research are knowing application of ARIAS learning model to reduce errors of solving perimeter and area of plane problems.The kind of this research is about PTK usingqualitative approach. The method to collected data in this research usedobservation method, interview, and test. This research was conducted at SMK Negeri 1 Jember which the subject of research are students of X AP 1class academic year 2012-2013. The data of research are students’ activities and errorsof solving perimeter and area of plane problems. In the beginning of test, total precentage of students’ mistake is 98,11% with average precentage of mistake is 19,62%.In the test 1, total precentage of students’ mistake is 97,64% with average precentage of mistake is 19,53%,but at the end of test 1 there is increasing in some kind of mistakes. At the end of test 2, total precentage decreased until 45,95% with average precentage is 9,19%. Analysis of percentage of errors conclude the application of ARIAS learning model can reduce errors of solving perimeter and area of plane problems. Key Words: ARIAS learning model, errors, plane.

Abstract

Abstract.Strategy of Inquiry learning are series of learning activity that emphasize on critical and analitycal thinking process to look for and find its own answer from the problems asked. This strategy can improve the students mind in learning and students achievement in the classroom. Steps of inquiryare orientation, formulating problem, formulating hypothesis, collecting data, testing hypothesis, and formulating conclusion. The result showed that teacher and students gave good responses toward teaching learning activity by using inquiry. Those good responses were proved by the improvement of studends learning activities. Students competence in material Circumference and Area of circle reached 74,42%. Beside that, there is good effect of the students though after teaching and learning process. All of them showed that inquirycan help students to look for and find the answer of problems are studied. Abstract

Abstract. Development of the character-based approach to Contextual Teaching and Learning. Contextual Teaching and Learning is one of learning method that make students learn mathematics by connecting the material to the real life. The material is drawn is a linier equation of one variable in class VII junior hight school of SMPN 3 Bangsalsari. In this development using the development model camps. The charakters are developed responsibility, respect and discipline. The device being developed include the lesson plan, student worksheet, and student book. The data collection method used in this research with question responses, student observation, teacher observation and student achievement test. The result of the validation study validity coefficient lesson plans, student books, student worksheet, respectively 0,818; 0,791; 0,812. Observation of the average activity of teachers in managing the learning of 88.00% and analysis average student activity by 88.89% with Average achievement test mastery of 75.97. From analisis it was found that devices made have valid, practical and effective. Key Words : Lesson plan, student worksheet, student book.

Abstract

Abstract.This study aimed to know the application of quantum teaching in improving student’s mistakes for social arithmetic topic at seventh grade of juniorhigh school. This study involved grade VIID of SMPN 7 Jember school year 2013/2014 . The research method is a classroom action research. There are four type of student’s mistake, namely the error of using a data, the error of theorem and definition application, technical error, inference error. The result shows that the total error at cycle I reach 38,21% and cycle II reach 28,45%. While the student’s activity of cycle I is 88,86% and cycle II 93,90%. It can be concluded that the quantum teaching model can reduce the students mistakes. Key Words:quantum teaching, social arithmetic, student’s activity, student’s mistakes

Abstract

Abstrack: This research type of this research is Classroom Actions Research which consist of two cycles, there are two class in each cycles. The data collection methods are interview, documentation, observation, and test. The purpose of this research is to reduce students’ mistake during solving problem in the triangle and quadrilateral topic. We will use Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) learning model in each meetings. The subject of research is students of VII D class SMPN 7 Jember in academic year 2012/2013. The data we analys are teacher’s and students’ learning activities, the percentage of student’s mistake, and the effectivity of MMP. The result of research indicate that the result of learning activity increase of student’s activity of cycle I reach 82,4% and cycle II reach 92,0%. While the student’s mistakes of final test at cycle I reach 50,5% and cycle II 28,6%. So, the mode of teaching can increase student’s activity and decrease the student’s mistakes. Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the application of learning to improve the activity and student learning outcomes in the form of algebraic arithmetic operations. Classwide Peer Tutoring learning requires students to learn to compete but still interact and work together in a fun and familiar attitude of responsibility, this study may affect the students social and academic personalities. Subjects were students of class VIII D SMP 7 Jember in odd semester of academic year 2013/2014. This study design is Classroom Action Research (CAR), and collection methods using observation, interview, test and documentation of data. The results showed that the activity and learning outcomes has increased. Student activity cycle I was 68.25% and the second cycle was 77.29%. While student learning outcomes first cycle of 66.67%, while the percentage of completeness in the second cycle increased to 90.47%. Abstract

Abstract: This researchwas aimedto describe the process of the development of a characterbased Mathematics Learning Material basedon Whole Brain Teaching methodwith Manga Studio for cubes and cuboid topics at eight gradejunior high school. The learning developmental model refers to four D models proposed by Thiagarajan. The products of this research are lesson plan, student book, worksheet, and evaluation test.The resultsshow that the coeficient of validaty for each product are lesson plan reachs 0,94, student book reachs 0,91, work sheet reachs 0,91, and evaluation test reachs 0,82. it can be concluded that the characterbased Mathematics Learning Material basedon Whole Brain Teaching methodwith Manga Studio have fulfilledthe validity, practice, and effective criteria. Abstract: This research aims to know how the process and the result of developing mathematics learning materials onCORE model (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) with contextual Approach of opportunities topic at grade XI senior high school. This study developes lesson plan,worksheet, evaluation test, and Studentbooks. The development mathematics learning materials standardized CORE model with contextual approach. This development model refers to 4-D Thiagarajan and Sammel & Samel models. This four steps are defining step, designing step, developing step, and disseminating step. Abstract. Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) is a concept which has some instructional strategies (treatments) that are optimally effective for students of different aptitude levels.This research is expected to know the process and result of the development of mathematics learning instruments based on Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) in sub subject of Prism and Pyramid. The subject of the research is students of grade VIII A SMP AL-Muttaqin Banjarsengon Jember. Learning instrumentsdevelopment model refers to Thiagarajan, Semmel and Semmel Model (4-D) Model.The result product is lesson plan, student books, work sheets, and evaluation test. Based on validation process and tryout the learning sets can be concluded that the learnig sets had been appropriate with validate, practice, and effective criteria. One effortto trainstudentsproblem solving abilityisPolya’smodel. Polyamodelconsistsoffour stages:understanding theproblem, makingthe completion ofthe plan, implementthe plan, andre-examine. The purposeof this study is todetermine the problem solving ability of SMK IbuPakusari’s multimedia studentson the subject oflinear program. Data collection methodusedis the method oftesting, interviews, anddocumentation. From the researchit can be concludedthat the percentage of students in problem solving ability is high, medium, low on stage to understand the problem is75%, 12,5%, 12,5%. For the percentage of students on stage the completion ofthe plan is 40,63%, 18,75% ,40,62%. On stage implementthe plan is 46,87%, 18,75%, 34,38%. As for the re-examine is 37,5%, 34,38%, 28,12%.
