Abstract

Free radicals can be overcome with the intake of antioxidants in the human body. Antioxidants function to inhibit and neutralize oxidation reactions involving free radicals. Indonesian tropical forest plants consisting of Bajakah tampala, Sarang semut, Akar kuning and Cemara sumatra have potential as antioxidants because of the secondary metabolites contained therein. The four plants were extracted by maceration method and the extracts were then tested for phytochemicals consisting of tests for saponins, tannins, terpenoids, alkaloids and flavonoids. After that, the antioxidant was tested using the 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) method and the absorbance was measured using a Uv-Vis spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 517 nm. The results obtained are secondary metabolite compounds contained in Indonesian tropical forest plants including saponins, tannins, and flavonoids. Alkaloid compounds are only owned by the Sarang semut and Akar kuning plants, while terpenoid compounds are owned by the Cemara sumatra and Akar kuning. The antioxidant activity obtained, Sarang semut have the strongest ability with an IC50 value of 4.71 ± 0.30 μg/ml. Cemara Sumatra and Bajakah Tampala are in the very strong category after Sarang semut with IC50 values of 10.54 ± 0.26 μg/ml and 12.86 ± 0.59 μg/ml. While the Akar kuning is included in the medium category with an IC50 value of 137.46 ± 0.80 μg/ml. Comparison of the ability of antioxidant activity from the strongest to the moderate, namely Sarang semut > Cemara sumatra > Bajakah tampala > Akar kuning.

Abstract

Religious moderation is an important principle in maintaining the harmony of religious life in multicultural Indonesia. Islamic Religious Education (PAI) has a strategic role in forming a generation that not only understands Islamic values textually, but is also able to implement these values contextually and inclusively. This study aims to explore various current literature that discusses the role of PAI in strengthening religious moderation at various levels of education. The research method used is a literature study by reviewing scientific journals, books, and relevant education policy documents from the last five years. The results of the study show that strengthening religious moderation through PAI includes five main aspects: integration of moderation values in the curriculum, the role of teachers as agents of moderation, contextual learning methods, the use of educational digital media, and a school environment that supports tolerance values. This study recommends strengthening the capacity of PAI teachers and improving the curriculum as the main strategy. With a holistic approach, PAI can be the main pillar in forming moderate, tolerant, and inclusive characters in students. This research is expected to contribute to the development of religious education policies that are relevant to the challenges of the times.

Abstract

The development of digital technology in the context of modern education has driven significant changes in the strategies, approaches, and learning media used by educators. One innovation considered effective in enhancing the learning experience is the use of interactive learning media. This literature review aims to analyze the role, benefits, and challenges of integrating interactive learning media in increasing active student participation at various levels of education. Through a review of academic articles, the latest scientific journals, and research reports during the 2018–2025 publication period, it was found that interactive learning media such as animated videos, game-based learning applications (gamification), Augmented Reality (AR), Learning Management Systems (LMS), and digital simulations can have a positive impact on student motivation, engagement, and learning outcomes. The study also shows that interactive learning can improve students' critical thinking skills, collaboration, and creativity through responsive and adaptive two-way learning activities. However, several challenges remain, such as teacher readiness, access to technology, training in digital media use, and selecting media appropriate to learning objectives. Based on the results of the literature analysis, the integration of interactive learning media is considered a relevant and strategic pedagogical solution to support active student participation, particularly in the era of technology-based learning and the Independent Curriculum.

Abstract

Character education in elementary schools requires effective strategies to instill moral, spiritual, and social values comprehensively in students. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning based on teacher role models and its influence on student character formation at SDN 105 Baraka. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study method, involving PAI teachers in grades IV and V and a number of students selected purposively. Data collection techniques included classroom observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation of learning activities. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, presentation, and verification of conclusions with source triangulation to ensure the validity of the findings. The results showed that PAI teachers consistently displayed disciplined, honest, patient, and socially caring behaviors that served as real role models for students. This behavior encouraged students to imitate the teachers' positive attitudes, increasing cooperation, responsibility, social awareness, discipline, and honesty. In addition, teachers who exemplified religious practices and moral values helped students internalize religious values contextually, so that learning was not only theoretical but also practical. These findings demonstrate that teacher role-modeling-based learning is effective in shaping students' religious and social character and in creating a learning ecosystem that supports the sustainable development of Islamic character. This research provides implications for teachers and schools to continue strengthening daily role-modeling practices and personal interactions with students as key strategies for character development.

Abstract

Publication of scientific papers is an important indicator in the development of academic culture in higher education, including in the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) study program. However, PAI students still face various obstacles in publishing scientific papers, such as limited understanding of the publication system, low information technology literacy, and minimal structured mentoring. This study aims to develop an effective and applicable information technology-based scientific paper publication model for PAI students. This study uses a research and development approach by adapting the ADDIE model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were students of the Islamic Religious Education Study Program at an Islamic religious college. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that the information technology-based scientific paper publication model developed consists of five main components, namely (1) scientific writing training based on the Learning Management System (LMS), (2) the use of digital reference management applications, (3) the use of online journal platforms and institutional repositories, (4) publication assistance through collaborative media, and (5) digital-based evaluation and feedback. Implementation of this model has been proven to improve students' understanding of the scientific publication process, their skills in using information technology, and their motivation to publish scientific papers. Therefore, this model is suitable as an alternative strategy for strengthening Islamic Religious Education students' scientific publications in the digital era.

Abstract

Research using a population, if the population is large and it is impossible for the reviewer to examine everything in the population, due to limited funds, manpower and time, the reviewer may use samples taken from a representative population. The study sample is part of the population taken as a data source and can represent the entire population. Disproportionate Stratified Random Sampling Technique Group Sampling (Area Sampling) The area sampling technique is used to determine the sample when the object being studied or the data source is very large. To determine the object used as a data source, sampling is based on the specified population area. In a qualitative study, informants were divided into three, namely: key informants, main informants, and supporting informants. Key informants are informants who have comprehensive information about the issues raised by investigators. The selection of informants in a qualitative study is determined entirely by the reviewer, which is why it is called purposive sampling, namely choosing information-rich cases based on the strategy and objectives set by the reviewer whose numbers depend on the objective and learning resources.
