Abstract

Padjadjaran University (UNPAD) Jatinangor is currently conducting green Campus program. To support the program, a study of biota living in it, as one of the benchmarks of good or bad environmental conditions, is needed. The green space of Jatinangor Campus is divided into two clusters namely Cluster I green space (Campus Forest) and green space Cluster II (Campus Non Forest). The objective of the research was to know the relationship between diversity of birds with diversity of plants in the green space of Cluster I (Campus Forest) and Cluster II (Campus Non Forest) UNPAD Campus Jatinangor as one of the parameters of successful development of green Campus. This research is descriptive-explorative with census method on bird species and plant composition from green spaces of Cluster I (Campus Forest) and Cluste II (Campus Non Forest) Campus UNPAD Jatinangor. From the observations in Cluster I, we identified 46 species of birds and 77 species of plants, whereas in Cluster II, we identified 32 species of birds and 74 types of plants. The number of bird species is directly proportional to the number of plant species from Cluster I and Cluster II green spaces. From this study it was concluded that the diversity of tree species supports the diversity of bird species.

Abstract

Indonesia sebagai salah satu negara berkembang juga diwajibkan untuk mengurangi sumber emisi gas seperti CO2, emisi pabrik, transportasi dan penggunaan energi fosil pada pembangunannya. Salah satu usaha yang dilakukan dalam menghadapi meningkatnya gas rumah kaca adalah meningkatkan kemampuan vegetasi baik hutan, kebun dan tanaman lain dalam mengikat CO2. Karbon yang tersimpan pada hutan tanaman baik yang terdapat pada bagian atas dan bagian bawah merupakan suatu cadangan sumber daya alam yang dapat digunakan bagi keberlangsungan hidup terutama dalam kondisi krisis lingkungan global yang terjadi saat ini. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada pendugaan cadangan karbon pada biomassa, nekromassa Acacia crassicarpa dan tanah gambut hutan tanaman industri di Kabupaten Bengkalis Provinsi Riau. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghitung cadangan karbon (carbon stock) pada biomassa, nekromassa Acacia crassicarpa dan tanah gambut hutan tanaman industri di Kabupaten Bengkalis Provinsi Riau dan mengestimasi pembangunan hutan tanaman industri yang berkelanjutan pada lahan gambut di Kabupaten Bengkalis Provinsi Riau. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini melalui pendekatan metode dominant quantitative-less dominant qualitative dan metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini didominasi menggunakan metode survai. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa besarnya cadangan karbon pada biomassa 2.808.363,28 t c/ha, nekromassa 2004, 437 t c/ha dan tanah gambut sebesar 560.938,5 t c/ha. Keberadaan hutan tanaman industri dapat memberikan jasa ekologis berupa cadangan karbon apabila dilakukan pengelolaan yang tepat, khususnya memiliki peluang simpanan pada nekromassa dan tanah gambut.

Abstract

Biodiversity Park in Central Bangka Pelawan Forest is one of the park that uses the concept of in-situ conservation in its conservation category. The development of this park was initiated by the Regional Government of Central Bangka Regency which aims to protect local biological resources, specifically the Pelawan Merahtree (Tristaniopsis merguensis). This area was designated as a park with three priority functions: ecotourism, education and research. The purpose of this study is to find out whether the educational function has been carried out properly in accordance with the initial purpose of the construction of this park. The method used is a mixed method with data collection techniques through interviews and questionnaires, the selection of respondents was carried out by purposive sampling. The results of the study showed that only 18.18% visited the park as a place of learning, the most objective of visitors was for recreation (56.82% ), visitors who are aware of the use of the park in (53, 64%) . The visitors (62,37 %) also think that facilities must be added, including information boards, leaflets or brochures to convey knowledge of biodiversity and visitors (92,27%) said the importance of the attendance of officials as informants to convey knowledge and information related to biodiversity in the park

Abstract

Distribution of fish in river is controlled by physico-chemical properties of the water which is affected by land-use complexity and intensity of human intervention. A study on fish distribution was carried out in the upper Citarum River to map the effects of physio-chemical properties on habitat use. A survey was conducted to collect fish and to measure the water quality both on dry and rainy season. The result showed that distribution of the fish, in general, represented their adaptive response to physico-chemical properties. The river environment could be grouped into two categories: (i) clean and relatively unpolluted sites, which associated with high DO and water current, and (ii) polluted sites characterized by low DO, high COD, BOD, water temperature, NO3, PO4, H2S, NH3, and surfactant. Fish inhabiting the first sites were Xiphophorus helleri, Punctius binotatus, Xiphophorus maculatus, and Oreochromis mossambicus. Meanwhile, the latter sites were inhabited by Liposarcus pardalis, Trichogaster trichopterus, and Poecilia reticulata. Knowledge about fish distribution in association with the pysico-chemical properties of water is crucial especially for the river management.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro dan Kecil Menengah merupakan usaha masyarakat untuk memberdayakan dirinya dengan tujuan menciptakan peluang usaha mandiri yang mengandalkan kemampuan dan kreativitas dalam kehidupan masyarakat itu sendiri. Namun demikian, upaya yang dilakukan membutuhkan dukungan berbagai aspek kewirausahaan agar menambah wawasan mengenai proses pembuatan dan manfaat dari produk-produk yang digunakan dan dihasilkan. Sebanyak tujuh dari tiga puluh usaha mikro dan kecil menengah Desa Cinunuk yang terbagi kedalam enam katagori telah dianalisis menggunakan sembilan indikator dari metode business model canvas. Selain itu, menetapkan satu usaha mikro dan kecil menengah yang dikembangkan sebagai usaha yang potensial tidak hanya dari aspek ekonomi namun juga pemberdayaan masyarakat. Pemanfaatan lahan sempit milik warga, kemudahaan dalam produksi dengan konsep urban farming dianggap mampu menjadi ikon usaha dari Desa Cinunuk. Potensi kelompok wanita tani Desa Cinunuk akan mampu menjadi usaha mikro dan kecil menengah yang maju melalui dukungan peningkatan kewirausahaan seperti kelengkapan perizinan, uji farmakologi dan sertifikasi.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe study distribution and population of lutung(Trachypithecus auratus sondaicus) in Pangandaran NaturalRecreational Park (TWAP) was conducted in January 2001through census method.  Broad inventory observation wasapplied to identified plant community and dominant plantspecies. There are 12 lutung groups and evenly distributed  in 37,7 ha area of TWAP,  thus the  density  of  lutung  is rangebetween 35-36 groups/km2. Population average on groups as13,1-13,5, 20-21 are maximized and  5-6 are minimizingpopulation.  Composition  of  sex  ratio  average  on  eachgroup  was  1,9 adult  male/group,  6,9-7,5 adult female/group,  2 subadult/group,   2,7-3,2 young/group and1 infant/group. Lutung habitat on TWAP were secondaryforest, with dominance vegetation are laban (Vitexpubescens), kisegel (Dillenia exelsa) and marong(Cratoxylum formosum), nyamplung (Callophylluminophylum), ketapang (Terminalia catappa), waru (Hibiiscustiliaceus) and butun (Barringtonia asiatica). Recorded 40 of 60species have 1 % frequency index were lutung food.  Duringthe studies  members  splitter  recorded  from  their  group, like A, B and C groups  to  A1-1, A1-2, B1, B2, C2-1 and C2-2.  Average  of  territory area  of all groups were 2,78 ha, 6,67ha are maximized and 2,78 ha are minimized.Keyword :Lutung, distribution, homerange, population, PananjungPangandaran Nature Reserve.

Abstract

Tingginya faktor antropogenik akan berdampak pada keanekaragaman hayati, sehingga perlu dilakukan pengelolaan danpembangunan yang berwawasan lingkungan. Gambaran struktur dan komposisi vegetasi di suatu wilayah dapat menjadiinformasi dasar dalam pengelolaan lingkungan. Tujuan studi ini dilakukan untuk memberikan gambaran mengenaikondisi struktur dan komposisi vegetasi di unit PLTP Gunung Salak, Jawa Barat.Pengumpulan data kualitatif dilakukandengan inventarisasi jenis-jenis tumbuhan, sedangkan data kuantitatif didapatkan melalui metode kuadrat. Komposisitumbuhan di kawasan unit PLTP Gunung Salak diketahui sebanyak 120 jenis dari 56 famili. Moraceae ditemukan palingbanyak dengan jumlah 11 spesies. Sebagian besar tersusun oleh stratifikasi A, B, C, D, dan E. Nilai indeks kesamaantertinggi berada pada ekosistem hutan alam-1 dan riparian sebesar 100%. Nilai keanekaragaman tertinggi berada padaekosistem ekoton pada kategori anakan (4,74), lalu diikuti dengan ekosistem hutan alam-1 pada kategori anakan (3,77),riparian pada kategori anakan (3,66), dan hutan alam-3 pada kategori pancang (3,03).
