Abstract

Bank Sampah Malang (BSM) is a foundation with focus in collecting and processing waste from activities revolve around Malang. One of the activities in BSM included making savings from the waste that still can be sold. From the transaction, there are several problems felt by both the officers and customers of BSM. First problem is the officers of BSM need a medium to introduce BSM to society, especially in Malang. They also found it is hard to locate the customers that used a ‘pick-up waste' service. Second problem from the customer used the ‘pick-up waste' service, in which, the system used is troublesome. Their saving books have to be brought by the officer to be checked by teller, and they have to pick their saving books in BSM office next day. The purpose of this research is to help BSM to create a web-based online transaction to help solving the problem stated above. The software development in this research is done by using Waterfall method. Stages performed in this research include literature research, analysis of user needs, System Design, implementation, testing, and decision making. This system is developed in web-based environment and the programming language used is PHP. Google Maps API is used to read and locate the pick-up location. Unit testing use white box method and the result is 100% valid in 3 testing cases. The validation testing use blackbox method and the result is 100% valid from 32 testing cases. Compatibility's testing result also shown 100% valid from 3 testing cases.

Abstract

In choosing a college and course must be in accordance with their interests respectively because the interest is owned is the first step to achieve the desired learning outcomes, which is subsequently embodied in the selection of courses. But the fact is based on the survey that the authors do, there are 59% of students from 100 students who are confused and feel hesitant in determining which colleges or courses they should choose. One of the factors that caused it was the lack and the difficulty of the information they get about the higher education and study programs that exist in Indonesia. To overcome this, it is necessary an application information portal system of universities in Indonesia. This system will be made with web-based. This system will help students to facilitate in obtaining information about the college, as well as information about the study program. In addition, students can take the online exam and compare it with the passing grade of the study program that has been selected previously. This is done to determine the ability of the students whether it is sufficient or not to enter the college and the study program, and also with these results students can better prepare well. The system has been successfully tested using the white box testing method for unit testing with result low program complexity value means a high testability value, which means that the system is easily evaluated by testing and blackbox testing using validation where the result for validation testing for 71 functionality are 100% valid and the result of compatibility testing shows that the system can run on 3 typesof web browsers

Abstract

Blood transfusion unit is a container of medical services to the communit in order to help the communit associated with something about blood. To help the communit and hospitals in resolve the problem, such as a blood request from hospitals using different ways between UTD branch and who do not have UTD branch, there are no details of the number of existing blood stock in Malang Central UTD, and the lack of transparenc of the management process from the initial application blood request until it is received, and blood donation is done manually. The given solution is create a data blood request, leveler or see an urgenc of the request, providing information about blood stock in real time, the existence of a blood deliver to the transparenc of the blood up to the hospital, minimize time in the process of filing blood donation and get an accurate information about blood request if a blood stock are not available in UTD. The system will appl the waterfall model for the process of development. Results of unit testing, integration testing and validation testing yields a value of 100% valid. The compatibilit testing resulted that the system can run on browser type.

Abstract

Traveling has become a lifestyle for someone to fill their spare time or hobby. Tourism activity can not be separated from the documentation as a means to commemorate the tourist event. Nowadays, the development of mobile technology has been equipped with a digital camera in it, so it can be used easily to take photos of tours for the visitors. With the support of Internet network, it is possible for tourists to distribute photos in order to be enjoyed by many people in a short time through intermediaries of social media. Mobile devices such as smartphones currently supports cameras that have geotagging feature, so that the location of shooting can easily to known. There are some various references are scattered in various print and electronic media. These media are less effective in providing information, it is because of the searching of information from unregulated sources, so it takes a long time to look for them. So that the information can be obtained easily, with a reference tours are collected in a container in the form of community is easily to accessed by recommendations provide based on supporting factors such as distance, time, and cost. This research begins by analyzing system requirements, then performing design and implementation phases. In this study apply the geotagging feature to get the location of the tourist photos and haversine formula to search the nearest location. The testing is done by using unit testing, validation testing, and compatibility testing. The results of the validation testing indicate that the built system has been run in accordance with its function in both of normal function and alternative conditions, and compatibility test results indicate that the built system runs well on different versions of Android operating system.

Abstract

Project manager who can handle three to five projects at once, has problems to monitor works of the projects, because in one project there are at least 30 works to be managed. With all of those works, there are works that are not monitored, so they are not completed on schedule. Moreover, CV. Nusantara Media Mandiri (CVNMM) still use waterfall approach in software development. Whereas CVNMM has a policy whereby software that has been completed by the project team, it will get a warranty (software usage training, repair, and changes to the system) for 2 months after the software received by the client. Because of this warranty, especially in case of system changes, just in January - March 2017 there are 4 of 7 clients who request a system change on the software that has been completed by the project team. Therefore, CVNMM wants to develop a software project management application to assist in monitoring works of the project, in addition to dealing with system changes, CVNMM can use the popular agile approach, which is scrum. Because this framework allows the client to review a piece of software, when the developer has finished iterating, so there's no need to wait until the software is completely done. CVNMM's software project management application have 38 functional requirements, where all of the functional requirements have valid in black-box testing.

Abstract

Code smells are a characteristic of a software that indicates problems in the code structure and system design that result in the software is being difficult to develop and maintain. The quite famous kind of code smells is refused bequest, which is a condition in the concept of inheritance that subclasses do not use the derived functionality of the superclass so as to happen inheritance rejection. Generally, code smells only can be identified through the program code structure. However, in this study developed the detection code smells in the stage of software development is design. Design is a very important phase in the software development phase because the success of a software depends on good analysis and design. At the design stage performed detection code smells with the kind of refused bequest is on the design of components, namely class diagrams design. The design of the class diagram in the .vpp format of the UML Creator Visual Paradigm application is converted into the xml language. Once converted, the xml file is detected on the detection software by parsing and finding the code smells refused bequest level referring to the smells thermometer as the measured refused bequest intensity meter. Development of this system follows the stages of software development starting from the needs analysis phase, design and implementation, as well as system testing. The tests performed on this system use testing whitebox testing for unit testing and integrase and blackbox testing for validation testing.

Abstract

In the Faculty of Computer Science (FILKOM) Brawijaya University, the survey shows that 76% of 100 FILKOM students are more interested in studying materials other than the basic programming courses. Limitations of material resources obtained and Student Centered Learning methods that used in FILKOM are considered less helpful for students to understand the learning materials. Therefore, it has developed an attractive java programming learning system based on website using gamification method. However, research from Studi Baidu states that users of mobile applications are 97%, greater than browsers that only 76%. Some studies related to gamification also states that the next research direction is from the side of mobility. Based on this data, need to develop Java learning programming application in mobile version which acts as client, so that existing system can act as server. In this research, the application is built in native android platform. To exchange data with the server, it is necessary to build a web service that is used as Application Programming Interface (API). The results of the development of android-based applications obtained 19 main features, while the results of web service development obtained 8 new classes on the system-based website. Unit testing is done using white-box method and validation testing is done by black-box method. The results of unit testing and validation testing yield a 100% value, which means all features work in accordance with requirements.

Abstract

Events can be defined as activities that are held to celebrate the important things throughout human life both individually and in groups (Noor, 2013). Faculty of Administrative Sciences, University of Brawijaya (FIA UB) is really active in organizing events such as seminars, workshops and competitions. There is an event proposal submission procedure for holding an event in FIA UB. The event proposal submission procedure is different and it depends on who is the event organizer, what resources are required and the where the event will be held. There are some problems that arise in the process of event proposal submission in FIA UB. From the event organizers perspective, they don't know the status of the submission of the event proposals that they have submitted, they also don't know the status of the venue's availability and many of event organizer do not know the flow of the event submission. From perspective of the General and Equipment Subdivision, the checking of venue's availability and recording of venue's reservation that are still performed manually in files is less efficient and time-consuming. So, the author have a solution to make an application called Event Management application. This Event Management application will be implemented using Node.js, Express.js framework and SemanticUI. The testing conducted using unit, validation and browser compatibility testing methods. In unit testing, all of independent paths tested and all of them are valid. The validation testing also shows result 100% valid. While browser compatibility testing shows that this application can be run without missing functionality in Microsoft Edge, Safari, Google Chrome, Firefox and Opera.

Abstract

The house left by homeowener became one of the target robbers to commit a crime. Therefore security is a mandatory requirement of every homeowner. One example of traditional systems that are still widely used are home alarms. But home alarms are offline, in the sense that if the homeowner is out of the house, then the danger alarm can not be accepted by the home owner. Because of these problems the research was conducted to make home monitoring systems using microcomputers. Microcomputers used in this research are Raspberry Pi 3 Model B. There are four main processes in this research including engineering needs, design, implementation, and system testing. The result of engineering requirement got eight functional requirement and two non functional requirement for software on microcomputer. While in the smartphone software obtained 20 functional requirements. Needs that have been obtained as a design system with the results of architecture design in the form of data design, architecture design, interface design, component design, and hardware design. The design of the created system is implemented into the program code using Javascript followed by hardware implementation. Home monitoring systems have been successfully tested using white box testing techniques on unit testing and black box testing techniques on validation testing. The result of performance test obtained time of giving danger notification that is a pretty good between 5-9 seconds.

Abstract

The hospital is a place of care, service, and recovery of illnesses as well as places of care, can also be a means of education and research. Maternal and Child Hospital (RSIA) when viewed from the hospital classification, is classified as a Type C hospital, where Type C hospitals only provide limited subspecialty medical services, in this case child health services and obstetrics and gynecological services. At RSIA. Prof. dr. H. M. Farid Makassar, in this case including patient registration and recording medical record data still using media worksheets. In addition, the report-making process is still carried out manually so as to make the processing of patient data less than optimal. To deal with these problems, a web-based medical record application with added features is built and search for medical record data to facilitate data processing at RSIA. Prof. dr. H. M. Farid and features to make periodic reports. This study uses the waterfall method and also a prototype in building medical record application software. Based on the tests carried out namely unit testing that produces valid values ​​for all test lines and validation tests that produce 100% valid values ​​in all test cases. While the compatibility testing tested using the SortSite tool shows that the system can run well in 9 of the 9 browser versions tested.
