Abstract

This research aims to determine the shape of the block model and the distribution of ore deposits and to determine the results of the resource estimation of base metal skarn. Mineral resource estimation reflects the shape and distribution of a mineral deposit so that it can be used as a basis for estimating reserves or mining activities. The data used in this study are the results of exploration drilling, namely collar, assay, survey and lithology. The estimation of base metal skarn resources in this study uses the ordinary kriging method with a block model measuring 10m x 5m x 3m. The results of the estimation of metal skarn resources of Block A Ruwai using the method obtained tonnage for inferred resources of 19,452 tons, indicated 29,542 tons and measured 16,546 tons with an average Pb-Zn content of 10.71%, 10.85% and 11.51%. The estimation results of the ordinary kriging method were compared with the composite data of Pb-Zn content (raw initial data) to determine its accuracy based on cross validation parameters. From the cross validation results, the RMSE (root mean square error) value is 0.40 which is close to 0 (zero), the correlation coefficient (r) is 0.83 and the coefficient of determination (r2) is 0.7 which is close to 1, so the estimation results are considered good enough.

Abstract

Soil elements, based on their abundance in the earth's crust and petrogenetic analysis aim to divide soil elements into several groups, namely major elements, trace elements and rare earth elements (REE). The research location is located in the Beruang Kanan area, Tumbang Miri District, Gunung Mas Regency, Central Kalimantan Province. The major elements and trace elements of the host rock were obtained from X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis and Plasma-Coupled Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) methods. Volcanic rocks from the Kanan Bear prospect The volcanic magmatic affinity in the study area is calc-alkaline this chemical characteristic is clearly reflected by the type of volcanic rock which is determined based on its chemical classification, which is generally igneous rock of the calc-alkaline magma series type so it is interpreted to originate from a convergent tectonic environment continental edge.

Abstract

Gold phytomining is the extraction of gold from the soil by harvesting specially selected hyperaccumulator plants. One of the potential plant species as a gold hyperaccumulator at the Ratatotok site, North Sulawesi, Indonesia, is Pteris vitata L, possibly because of the presence of rhizobacteria colonies in the roots to help the plant's resistance to metal stress in the soil. The isolation and identification show that the most resistant rhizobacteria to the gold stress is Pseudomonas aeruginosa RTKP1. The study aimed to assess the Pseudomonas aeruginosa RTKP1 to assist the gold bioaccumulation in Pteris vittata L. The phytomining test was carried out with four series of treatments for Pteris vittata L growing media, i.e., (1) tailings without compost and bacterial isolates, (2) tailings with bacterial isolates, (3) tailings with compost, and (4) tailings with compost and bacterial isolate. A descriptive analysis was carried out to analyze the role of the Pseudomnas aeruginosa RTKP1 on gold reduction in the media and gold bioaccumulation in Pteris vittata L. A quantitative analysis was carried out to analyze the bioaccumulation ability of Pteris vittata L with and without the addition of bacterial isolate. The role of the Pseudomonas aeruginosa RTKP1 is to increase the Translocation Factor (TF) and Biological Concentration Factor (BCF), particularly in the roots. The addition of compost to tailings as growing media for Pteris vittata L inhibits the effectiveness of the work of the Pseudomonas aeruginosa RTKP1 in increasing BCF and TF. However, this effect needs to be tested further to obtain significant results.

Abstract

Previous studies have revealed significant hydrothermal alterations within the Beruang Kanan Non-Volcanic Area, Central Kalimantan, Indonesia, resulting in extensive ore mineralizations. This study aims to examine the effects of hydrothermal processes on rock alteration, delineate alteration zones, and establish their relationship to metal mineralization. The research area, situated in the Tumbang Miri district of Gunung Mas regency, forms part of the Corrugated Hills Geomorphological Unit and is traversed by the Schwaner Mountains, with elevations ranging from approximately 50 to 400 meters. Stratigraphic analysis identifies three primary rock units, ordered from oldest to youngest: the Tuffaceous Sandstone Unit, the Dacitic Tuff Unit, and the Andesite Unit. Hydrothermal alterations have resulted in three distinct alteration zones sericitic, argillic, and propylitic characterized by secondary mineral assemblages. This study provides a comprehensive framework for understanding the geological and mineralization dynamics of non-volcanic hydrothermal systems in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia

Abstract

This research investigates ore samples from Cihaur Village, Sukabumi District, West Java, which exhibit significant skarn alteration in limestone, is examined for its petrographic and mineragraphic features. Secondary minerals identified include pyroxene, garnet, calcite, and opaque minerals, while the primary ore minerals are chalcopyrite (CuFeS2), galena (PbS), and sphalerite (ZnS). Five samples were analyzed geochemical analysis using the ICP-MS method to assess the concentration of important elements including Pb, Zn, Cu, Ag, Sb, Bi, Cd, Mg, Al, Ca, Fe, and As. Element distribution patterns were examined using spider diagrams, providing insight into environmental gradients influencing mineral exploration. The study revealed a high positive correlation between Pb and Zn, suggesting co-deposition in sulfide mineralization. Pb also correlates strongly with Ag and Sb. This study confirms the considerable economic potential of the Sukabumi skarn deposits for Pb, Zn, Cu, and precious metals such as Ag. Exploration value is increased when essential minerals like Sb and Cd are present. Variations in geochemical conditions indicate the influence of magmatic intrusions and hydrothermal activity on element distribution. These results provide a solid foundation for further exploration to delineate mineralization zones in the region
