Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of innovation and service quality on competitive advantage with dynamic capabilities as a moderating variable at the BPS-Statistics throughout Jawa Tengah Province. Using a quantitative approach with Partial Least Square (PLS) techniques, the study involved all BPS work units in Jawa Tengah to explore the dynamics of competitive advantage in the public sector. A theoretical framework was built based on Resource-Based Theory and Dynamic Capabilities Theory to understand how organizational resources contribute to competitive value creation. The results show that innovation has a significant positive effect on competitive advantage, manifested through web-based data services, interactive statistical dashboards, and the integration of national digital platforms. Service quality is also proven to have a significant positive effect on competitive advantage, manifested through response speed, data accuracy, ease of access, and responsiveness to user needs. Dynamic capabilities show a significant positive direct effect on competitive advantage, but do not act as a moderator in the innovation-competitive advantage or service quality-competitive advantage relationship, classifying it as a quasi-moderator. These findings reveal the unique characteristics of public bureaucracy where innovation is top-down and service quality is standardized through national SOPs, limiting the adaptive flexibility of work units. The research provides theoretical contributions in understanding the application of dynamic capability theory in the public sector and practical implications for optimizing the competitive advantage of national statistical institutions through strengthening operational autonomy and contextual innovation design.

Abstract

The Indonesian capital market faces challenges in investor growth, particularly with low investment levels among women. Female investors lag behind men in both the number of investors and the value of investments. Despite an increase in the number of female investors, their investment values remain low, indicating limited active participation. This research aims to examine how financial literacy and behavioral biases influence Indonesian female investors decisions, with social media as a moderating variable. Using a sample of 126 female investors, the test was conducted with PLS-SEM. The results showed that regret aversion bias significantly negatively impacts female investors decisions, while financial literacy has a positive and significant effect. Overconfidence bias and herding behavior do not significantly influence investment decisions. Social media does not moderate the effects of these biases and financial literacy on investment decisions but could act as predictor moderation variable with significant positive impact on investment decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of career development, compensation equity, and job satisfaction as intervening variables on lecturer performance at College X. The background of this study focuses on low lecturer performance, which is suspected to be influenced by career development, compensation equity, and job satisfaction, key elements in educational organizations that improve lecturer performance. This study uses career development and compensation equity as independent variables, while job satisfaction and lecturer performance served as dependent variables. The sample size was 41 respondents, obtained through a saturated sampling technique. The research method used was quantitative with an explanatory research approach. Data were analyzed using Structural Equational Modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Squares (PLS), using a likert-based data measurement scale. This study found that career development and compensation equity have a positive and significant influence on job satisfaction and lecturer performance. Furthermore, the path test results show that job satisfaction acts as a mediator in the influence of compensation equity on lecturer performance. However, job satisfaction does not mediate the influence of career development on lecturer performance. Universities need to strengthen compensation equity, strengthen career development strategies, implement career development programs, and create a supportive and adequate work environment and facilities to ensure optimal lecturer performance.
