Abstract

Productivity of livestock with chemical additives becoming obsolete, now developed, from natural herbal additives such as turmeric contains curcumin is efficacious as antihepatotoksik enthelmintik, antiedemik, analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant and effective fat metabolism in the body. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of turmeric powder as a feed supplement in feed quail with different delivery periods to optimize tissue function in order to carry out metabolism and maintain the physiological functions of tissues seen from the number of erythrocytes and hemoglobin levels. This study used 30 female quails (Cortunix cortunix japonica) in similar age groups divided into 3 treatment groups namely P0 (not given turmeric), P1 (group fed turmeric as non productive age the age of 210 days) and P2 (group turmeric was given before the age of non-productive until age 14 -240 days). Quail were decapitated at the age of 240 days and taken blood in tubes containing EDTA venojack. Examination of the number of erythrocytes and hemoglobin using a counting chamber method and the method of Sahli done on the same day to ensure the validity of data. Research results showed that administration of turmeric in non-productive age (age 210 days) could potentially increase the amount of hemoglobin and the number of erythrocytes (P <0.05), compared with quail fed turmeric since 14 days and control treatments. The average number of erythrocytes P0, P1, and P2, respectively 3,285; 4.7; 2,729 and Mean hemoglobin levels P0, P1, and P2, respectively 12.27; 15.0; 13.5. It is concluded that administration of turmeric in the non produktrif potentially increase cell metabolism is marked by an increase in the number of erythrocytes and hemoglobin count.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were evaluate the dietary of swangi fish meal and turmeric powder on protein content and weight of of pectorales and femorales of quail meat.  Research was conducted based on 2x3 of factorial completely randomized design, in which the first factor was 2 levels of type diet, i.e. RA : standard diet; RB : 85% standard diet + 15% swangi fish meal, and the second factor was 3 levels of period time of turmeric powder addition, i.e. P0 : without turmeric powder; P1 : turmeric powder 54 mg/quail/day was given since quail age 210 days old for a month; P2 : turmeric powder 54 mg/quail/day was given since quail age 14 days old until the end of the observation (9 months old). The collected data were analyzed by analysis of variance. Duncan’s Multiple Range Test was performed for mean comparison with 95% significance levels. All statistical analysis were performed using SAS software version 9.0 for windows. The results showed that dietary swangi fish meal increased crude protein level in the pectorales dan femorales of quail meat, whereas different period time of turmeric powder addition also increased crude protein level in the pectorales dan femorales of quail meat. Dietary swangi fish meal and different period time of turmeric powder addition resulted in interaction effect on crude protein level in the pectorales dan femorales of quail meat, but they did not result interaction effect on weight of of pectorales and femorales of quail meat.

Abstract

ABSTRAK            Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan tepung rumput laut (Gracilaria verrucosa) terfermentasi sebagai bahan penyusun ransum terhadap perlemakan ayam broiler.Materi yang digunakan adalahayam broiler jantan dan betina sebanyak 150 ekor umur 7 hari dengan bobot 163,38± 24,67 g(CV 3, 04). Bahan pakan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tepung Gracilaria verrucosaterfermentasi, bekatul, jagung kuning giling, tepung ikan, bungkil kedelai, PMM, minyak nabati, CaCO3, topmiks. Ransum disusun dengan kandungan protein 21 %, EM 3000 kal/g.Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 5 perlakuan, setiap perlakuan dilakukan ulangan sebanyak 6 kali ulangan, setiap unit percobaan terdiri dari 5 ekor ayam broiler dengan perlakuan  sbb : T0 = ransum tanpa tepung rumput laut; T1 = ransum menggunakan tepung rumput laut 5%; T2 = ransum menggunakan tepung rumput laut terfermentasi 5%; T3 = ransum menggunakan tepung rumput laut terfermentasi 7,5%; T4 = ransum menggunakan tepung rumput laut terfermentasi 10%. Parameter yang diamati adalah bobot badan akhir, persentase lemak abdominal, persentase lemak organ pencernaan, dan kadar lemak daging.Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa persentase lemak abdominal ayam broiler T1, T2, T3 dan T4 lebih rendah (P<0,05) dibandingkan T0  dan kadar lemak daging ayam broiler T3 lebih rendah (P<0,05) dibandingkan perlakuan lainnya, persentase lemak organ pencernaan ayam broiler T4 lebih rendah (P<0,05)  terhadap T1 dan T0 dan bobot badan akhir tidak dipengaruhi oleh penggunaan tepung rumput laut terfermentasi dalam ransum.Kesimpulan yang diperoleh yaitu penggunaan tepung rumput laut (Gracilaria verrucosa) terfermentasi dalam ransum mampu menurunkan persentase lemak abdominal, persentase lemak organ pencernaan dan kadarlemak daging, tetapi tidakmempengaruhi bobot badan akhir ayam broiler.Kata kunci : ayam broiler; tepung rumput laut terfermentasi; perlemakan ABSTRACT This research was aimed to the use of fermented seaweed meal (Gracilaria verrucosa) as feedstuff of ration on Lipid Deposition of Broiler Chicken. One hundred and fifty chickens 7 days age with weights 163,38± 24,67 g (CV 3, 04) was used in this study. Feed ingredients used in this study is Gracilaria verrucosa fermented flour, rice brand, milled yellow corn, fish meal, soybean meal, PMM, vegetable oil, CaCO3, top miks. The experimental design used was RAL consisting of 5 treatments, each treatment was performed 6 times replications, each experimental unit consisted of 5 broiler chickens with the following treatments: T0=ration without the use of seaweed meal; T1=ration the use of seaweed meal 5%; T2=ration with the use of fermented seaweed meal 5%; T3=ration with the use of fermented seaweed meal 7.5%; T4=ration with the use fermented seaweed meal 10%. The parameters measured were the final body weight, abdominal fat percentage, fat percentage of the digestive organs, and fat content of meat. The results showed that the percentage of abdominal fat of broiler chickens T1, T2, T3 and T4 were significantly lower (P <0.05) than T0 and fat content of broiler meat T3 significantly lower (P<0.05) than other treatments, digestive organs fat percentage of broilers significantly different T4 to T1 and T0 and final body weights were not affected by the use of starchin the ration of fermented seaweed meal. The conclusion the use of fermented seaweed meal (Gracilaria verrucosa) in the diet can be lower abdominal fat percentage, digestive organs fat percentage and fat content of meat, but do not affect the final body weight of broiler chickens.Key words : broiler chicken; fermented seaweed meal; fatty

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui kegunaan pemberian tambahan urea dalam ransum terhadap performans darah yaitu eritrosit, hemoglobin serta hematokrit. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 1 Oktober sampai 30 Desember 2013 di UPTD Pembibitan Ternak dan Hijauan Makanan Ternak Singosari Malang. Materi yang digunakan adalah kambing PE fase dara sebanyak 12 ekor dengan bobot badan 15-17 kg; ransum berupa pakan hijauan dan konsentrat. Perlakuan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tiga ransum dengan tambahan urea yang berbeda, sebagai 3 perlakuan dan 4 kali ulangan : 1) ransum ditambah urea 0,9% (T1); 2) ransum ditambah urea 2,16% (T2); 3) ransum ditambah urea 3,42% (T3). Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap. Parameter yang diamati adalah konsumsi data BK, kadar Hemoglobin, jumlah eritrosit dan kadar eritrosit darah diuji dengan menggunakan uji analisis varians dan dilanjutkan dengan uji beda nyata terkecil (BNT). Hasil penelitian menunjukan rataan konsumsi BK ransum harian masing-masing adalah T1 622,7 g/ekor/hari; T2 655,3 g/ekor/hari dan T3 569,2 g/ekor/hari (P<0,05). Rataan jumlah eritrosit masing-masing adalah T1 2,9 sel/µl; T2 2,54 sel/µl dan T3 2,3 sel/µl (P<0,05). Rataan kadar hemoglobin masing-masing adalah T1 10,2 g/dl; T2 9,6 g/dl; dan T3 9,1 g/dl. Rataan`nilai hematokrit masing-masing T1 31,1%; T2 24,1%; dan T3 22,6%. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa pemberian ransum dengan tambahan urea yang berbeda pada kambing PE fase dara ternyata mempengaruhi konsumsi Bahan Kering ransum dan jumlah eritrosit. Penambahan urea tidak mempengaruhi kadar hemoglobin dan nilai hematokrit darah.Kata Kunci : Kambing , urea , hemoglobin, eritrosit, hematokritABSTRACT This experiment was conducted to study the effect of differences of urea level of ration on performance in particular blood erythrocytes, hemoglobin and hematocrit of Ettawa grade ewes. The experiment was carried out in October 1st – December 30th 2012 in Singosari, Malang regency. The material used was 12 heads of ettawa ewe weight 15-17 kg, feed of ration forage and concentrates. The treatment in this study were three rations with different levels of urea ; 1) ration plus urea 0,9%; 2) ration plus urea 2,16%); 3) ration plus urea 3,42%. This study used experimental design CRD (completely randomized design) with LSD. Parameters observed were feed intake, hemoglobin, number of erythrocytes and hematocrit levels. The results of the analysis of a variety shows, that addition urea in the ration significally affect feed intake consumption and the number of erythrocytes, but did not affect the levels of hemoglobin and hematocrit. The conclusion that can be drawn from the above study is that administration of rations with different addition of urea in ettawa ewe has affect the average of consumption and the number of erythrocytes.Keywords : goat, urea, hemoglobin, eritrosit, hematokrit

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pangaruh penggunaan tepung temukunci (Boesenbergia pandurata ROXB)dalam ransum terhadap kadar kolesterol, trigliserida, high density lipoprotein darah dan persentase lemak abdominal ayam broiler. Materi penelitian adalah ayam broiler sebanyak 120 ekor unsex mulai umur 7 hari dengan bobot rata-rata 137,5 ± 16,04 g  (CV 6,36 %). Ransum perlakuan terdiri dari 4 jenis ransum, yaitu ransum T0 : Ransum tanpa menggunakan tepung temukunci T1 : Ransum menggunakan tepung temukunci 0,8%, T2 : Ransum menggunakan tepung temukunci 1,2%, T3 : Ransum menggunakan tepung temukunci 1,6%, T4 : Ransum menggunakan tepung temukunci 2,0%.Rancangan percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan jumlah 5perlakuandan4 ulangan masing-masing unit percobaan berisi 6 ekor ayam broiler. Ransum dan air minum diberikan ad libitum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rataan kolesterol tidak berbeda T0 =101,02, T1 = 102,02, T2 = 1012,30, T3 = 143,43, T4 = 130,05 mg/dl, rataan high density lipoproteintidak berbeda T0 =123,78, T1 = 152,70, T2 = 119,80, T3 = 129,18, T4 = 149,05 mg/dl, rataan trigliserida berbeda (P<0,01) T0 = 55,50, T1 = 22,19, T2 = 61,82, T3 = 24,30, T4 = 19,18 mg/dl dan rataan persentase lemak abdominal tidak berbeda T0 =1,29, T1 = 1,62, T2 = 1,98, T3 = 1,39, T4 = 1,36%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan tepung temu kunci (Boesenbergia pandurata ROXB) dalam ransum tidak menurunkan lemak abdominal dan kolesterol serta tidak menaikkan high density lipoprotein namun dapat menurunkan kadar trigliserida darah ayam broiler.Kata Kunci: temukunci; lemak abdominal; trigliserida; kolesterol; broiler ABSTRACTThis studi aimed to determine the effect offingerroot (Boesenbergiapandurata ROXB) powder in the diet on broiler chicken of cholesterol, high density lipoprotein, triglyceride levels of blood and percentage of abdominal fat. The result shownthat means not defernt means of cholesterol (T0 =101,02, T1 = 102,02, T2 = 1012,30, T3 = 143,43, T4 = 130,05 mg/dl), meanshigh density lipoprotein(T0 = 123,78, T1 = 152,70, T2 = 119,80, T3 = 129,18, T4 = 149,05 mg/dl), defernt (P<0,01) meansof triglyceride(T0 = 55,50, T1 = 22,19, T2 = 61,82, T3 = 24,30, T4 = 19,18 mg/dl)and percentage of abdominal fat(T0 = 1,29, T1 = 1,62, T2 = 1,98, T3 = 1,39, T4 = 1,36%).Conclusions the use of fingerroot powder in the diet ration had no decreased abdominal fat and blood cholesterol and not increased HDL, but decreased blood triglyceride of broiler chickens.Keyword : fingerroot; triglyceride; cholesterol; abdominal fat; broiler

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penambahan papain kasar dalam ransum terhadap jumlah total leukosit dan diferensial leukosit ayam broiler. Materi yang digunakan adalah ayam broiler  strain Lohman unsex, sebanyak 100 ekor umur 14 hari dengan rata-rata bobot badan 384±0,14 g, papain kasar, ransum basal  fase starter  dan  ransum basal fase finisher. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan diberikan selama 3 minggu, dengan penambahan papain kasar sebagai berikut: T0 (ransum basal tanpa papain kasar), T1 (0,25 g papain kasar dalam 1 kg ransum basal), T2 (0,50 g papain kasar dalam 1 kg ransum basal), T3 (0,75 g papain kasar dalam 1 kg ransum basal). Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan sidik  ragam. Parameter yang diamati adalah jumlah total leukosit dan diferensial leukosit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penambahan papain kasar memberikan pengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap jumlah total leukosit dan diferensiasi leukosit. Rata-rata jumlah total leukosit adalah T0 (6,65 x103 sel/mm3), T1 (4,92 x103 sel/mm3), T2 (6,02 x103 sel/mm3) dan T3 (6,24 x103 sel/mm3). Rata-rata persentase heterofil adalah 54,8% (T0); 60,8% (T1); 67,0% (T2); 62,6% (T3). Rata-rata persentase eosinofil adalah 1% (T0); 0,2% (T1); 0,4% (T2); 0,6% (T3). Rata-rata persentase monosit adalah 13% (T0); 6,6% (T1); 6,2% (T2); 5,8% (T3). Rata-rata persentase limfosit adalah 31,2% (T0); 32,4% (T1); 26,4% (T2); 31% (T3). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan papain kasar sampai level 0,75 g/kg tidak berpengaruh terhadap jumlah total leukosit dan diferensial leukosit. Kata kunci: papain kasar; leukosit; diferensial leukosit; broiler.  ABSTRACT The research was aimed to study the effect of crude papain which were  added in the diet upon  the total leucocytes count and leucocytes differential of broiler. One hundred of 14 days old broiler of unsex Lohman strain with average body weight of 384±0,14 g, crude papain, basal diet for starter and  finisher. The design of the research was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications. Dietary treatments were offered for 3 weeks, which were added with crude papain, namely T0 (diet without crude papain), T1 (0,25 g crude papain in basal diet), T2 (0,50 g crude papain in basal diet) and T3 (0,75 g crude papain in basal diet). Parameters observed were total leucocytes count and leucocytes differential. Data were analyzed according to analysis of variance to determine the effect of treatment. The result showed that crude papain fed to the broiler was not significantly affected  (P>0,05) the total leucocytes count and leucocytes differential. Total leucocytes count based on the given treatment were T0 (6,65 x103 cells/mm3), T1 (4,92 x103 cells/mm3), T2 (6,02 x103 cells/mm3) and T3  (6,24 x103 cells/mm3). Each mean heterophile were 54,8% (T0); 60,8% (T1); 67,0% (T2); 62,6% (T3). Each mean eosinophils were 1% (T0); 0,2% (T1); 0,4% (T2); 0,6% (T3). Each mean monocytes were 13%  (T0); 6,6% (T1); 6,2% (T2); 5,8% (T3). Each mean  lymphocytes were 31,2% (T0); 32,4% (T1); 26,4% (T2); 31% (T3). It could be concluded that the addition of crude papain in the diet until level 0,75 g/kg did not affect the total leucocytes count and leucocytes differential of broiler. Keyword: crude papain; leucocytes; leucocytes differential; broiler.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kadar hemoglobin, hematokrit, dan eritrosit burung puyuh jantan umur 0-5 minggu yang diberi tambahan kotoran walet dalam ransum. Materi yang digunakan dalam Penelitian ini adalah 200 ekor burung puyuh jantan umur 1 hari dengan bobot hidup rata-rata 7 gram. Pakan yang digunakan disusun pakan setandar dan ditambah kotoran walet sebanyak 3%, 6%, 9%, dan 12%. Kandang yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kandang ”koloni” , terbagi menjadi 20 unit dengan ukuran 40×34×26 cm3 per unit untuk 10 ekor puyuh. Rancangan percobaan yang dipergunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan yang digunakan adalah T0= ransum tanpa kotoran walet; T1= ransum mengandung 3% kotoran walet; T2= ransum mengandung 6% kotoran walet; T3= ransum mengandung 9% kotoran walet; T4= ransum mengandung 12% kotoran walet. Parameter yang diamati adalah kadar hemoglobin, hematokrit dan eritrosit. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penambahan kotoran walet dalam ransum tidak berpengaruh terhadap rataan parameter yang diukur, dimana rata-rata yang diperoleh T0, T1, T2, T3 dan T4 berturut-turut untuk hemoglobin masing-masing adalah 9; 9,825; 8,825; 7,325; 6,625 (mg/dl) . hematokrit adalah 23,5; 23,5; 23,25; 24 dan 22,75 (%). Eritrosit adalah 3,013; 3,275; 2,900; 2,513 dan 2,210 (j/ml). Simpulan dari penelitian ini, penggunaan kotoran welet dalam ransum sampai tingkat 12% tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap kadar hemoglobin, hematokrit, dan eritrosit.Kata kunci : Burung puyuh; Kotoran walet; Status kesehatanABSTRACTThis research was obtained to investigate the level of hemoglobin, hematokrit, and eritrosit of male quails of 0 – 5 weeks old which is supplemented by swallow filth on ration. Materiall were used on this research are 200 1 day old of male quails (average body weight is 7 gram). The ratiatia used standard ra as feed and swallow filth as supplementation. The quails are kept on “colony” cage, which is separate into 20 units (the size is 40×34×26 cm). Each unit is consistay 10 quails. This research used completely random design with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments were arranged below: T0 = control (ration without supplementation) T1 = ration + 3% of swallow filth T2 = ration + 6% of swallow filth T3 = ration + 9% of swallow filth T4 = ration + 12% of swallow filth Parameter were observed are level of hemoglobin, hematokrit and eritrosit. The rescelt shown that suplementation of swallon fith didn’t inflected the parameters. The average of hemoglobin level for T0, T1, T2, T3 and T4 respectively is 9; 9,825; 8,825; 7,325; 6,625 (g/dl). The average of hematokrit level is 23,5; 23,5; 23,25; 24 and 22,75 (%). The average of eritrosit level is 3,013; 3,275; 2,900; 2,513 and 2,210 (j/ml). The conclusion of this research show that the used of swallow filth supplementation on ration up to 12% didn’t affect on hemoglobin, hematokrit, and eritosit level of male quails.Keywords : Quails; Swallow filth; Lead state

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan tepung rimpang temu kunci dalam ransum terhadap ketahanan tubuh ayam broiler dengan mengamati jumlah leukosit, rasio heterofil limfosit (H/L) dan bobot bursa fabrisius. Materi yang digunakan adalah ayam broiler 120 ekor (unsex) umur 1 minggu dengan rata-rata bobot awal ayam sebesar 321,78 ± 7,8 gram. Ransum yang digunakan mengandung energi metabolis 3.133,83-3.229,79 kkal/kg dan protein kasar 21,00-21,33% dengan bahan pakan yang terdiri dari jagung kuning, bungkil kedelai, tepung ikan, pollard, poultry meat meal (PMM), bekatul, premix, minyak nabati dan tepung rimpang temu kunci. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 kali ulangan, setiap unit percobaan berisi 6 ekor ayam broiler . Ransum perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu T0 (ransum basal), T1 (ransum basal + 0,8% tepung temu kunci), T2 (ransum basal + 1,2% tepung temu kunci), T3 (ransum basal + 1,6% tepung temu kunci) dan T4 (ransum basal + 2,0% tepung temu kunci). Parameter yang diamati meliputi jumlah leukosit, rasio heterofil limfosit (H/L) dan bobot bursa fabrisius. Data dianalisis dengan analisis ragam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ransum perlakuan tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap jumlah leukosit, rasio heterofil limfosit (H/L) dan bobot bursa fabrisius. Berdasarkan hasil penelitain disimpulkan bahwa penambahan tepung rimpang temu kunci sampai taraf 2% dalam ransum ayam broiler selama 5 minggu perlakuan tidak mengubah ketahanan tubuh ayam broiler.Kata kunci : ayam broiler; rimpang temu kunci; ketahanan tubuh ABSTRACT The aimed of the research was determined the effect of powder addition fingerroot rhizome in the diet on broiler body resistance with observed leukocyte total, heterophile lymphocyte ratio and bursa fabricius weight. The research used completely randomize design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replicates, consisted of 6 broilers per experimental. The treatment given was T0 (basal diet), T1 (basal diet + 0.8% fingerroot powder), T2 (basal diet + 1.2% fingerroot powder), T3 (basal diet + 1.6% fingerroot powder) and T4 (basal diet + 2.0% fingerroot powder). Parameters measured were leukocyte total, heterophile lymphocyte ratio and bursa fabricius weight. The data were analyzed according to analysis of variance. The result shown that the treatment had no significant effect (P>0.05) to total of leukocyte, heterophile lymphocyte ratio and bursa fabricius weight. Based on the results of the research concluded that the addition of fingerroot rhizome powder until 2% in broiler diet during 5 week of treatment didn’t changed body resistance of broiler.Key word : broiler; fingerroot rhizome; body resistance

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kadar hemoglobin, hematokrit, dan eritrosit ayam broiler umur 0-5 minggu yang diberi tambahan ekskreta walet dalam ransum. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 200 ekor ayam broiler umur 1 hari dengan bobot hidup rata-rata 30 g. Pakan yang digunakan merupakan pakan standar dan ditambah ekskreta walet sebanyak 4%, 8%, 12% dan 16%. Kandang yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kandang ”panggung” , terbagi menjadi 20 unit dengan ukuran 80x70 cm per unit untuk 10 ekor ayam broiler. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan yang digunakan adalah T0= ransum tanpa ekskreta walet; T1= ransum ditambah 4% ekskreta walet; T2= ransum ditambah 8% ekskreta walet; T3= ransum ditambah 12% ekskreta walet; T4= ransum ditambah 16% ekskreta walet. Parameter yang diamati adalah kadar hemoglobin, hematokrit dan eritrosit. Seluruh data yang diperoleh akan dilakukan analisis varians (analisis ragam) untuk membandingkan perbedaan antar perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penambahan ekskreta walet dalam ransum tidak berpengaruh terhadap rataan parameter yang diukur, sehingga tidak dilakukan uji lanjutan yaitu Duncan, dimana rata-rata yangdiperoleh pada perlakuan T0, T1, T2, T3 dan T4 berturut-turut untuk hemoglobin masing-masing adalah 7,33; 6,33; 6,28; 5,95 dan 5,98 (mg/dl), hematokrit adalah 25,25; 24,75; 23,5; 23 dan 22,75 (%). Eritrosit adalah 2,60; 2,24; 2,21; 2,09 dan 1,79 (j/ml). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini, penggunaan ekskreta walet dalam ransum sampai tingkat 16% tidak berpengaruh terhadap kadar hemoglobin, hematokrit, dan eritosit darah ayam broiler.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk  mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan tepung limbah rumput laut terhadap status hematologis (jumlah eritrosit, kadar hemoglobin, dan kadar hematokrit) puyuh jantan. Materi yang digunakan adalah puyuh jantan umur  6  minggu sebanyak 160 ekor, rata-rata bobot badan 120,92 ± 0,48 gram. Bahan pakan yang digunakan jagung kuning, bekatul, bungkil kedelai, tepung ikan, Poultry Meat Meal (PMM), premix, minyak kelapa, tepung rumput laut. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan dan tiap unit terdiri dari 8 ekor puyuh jantan. Perlakuan yang diberikan: Ransum mengandung (0%, 5%, 7,5%, dan 10% tepung rumput laut). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) meningkatkan jumlah eritrosit dan kadar hemoglobin, tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap kadar hematokrit. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah penggunaan tepung rumput laut hingga taraf 10% dalam ransum puyuh jantan, memperbaiki jumlah eritrosit dan kadar hemoglobin, serta tetap menjaga stabilitas volume hematocrit. Kata kunci : puyuh jantan; limbah rumput laut; status hematologis. ABSTRACT           The aim of this study was to know the effect of seaweed (Gracilaria verrucosa) ungraded on the hematological (number of erythrocyte, haemoglobin, and haematocrit) status of male quails. Material used were 160 birdsmales of quail, 6 weeks old, with average body weight of120.92 ± 0,48 g. Feed ingredients is yellow corn, rice bran, soybean meal, fish meal, Poultry Meat Meal (PMM), premix, coconut oil, and seaweed flour. Experimental designed was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replication. Each replication consisted of 8 birds.  The treatmentsapplied were: Feed containing (0%,5%,7.5% and 10% seaweed flour). The results indicate that seaweed flour gave significant effect (P<0.05) on erythrocyte and haemoglobin, but not on haematocrit. The conclusion of this research show that seaweed flour filth supplementation on ration up to 10% can repaired number of erythrocyte and haemoglobin, and consistant stability of haematocrit. Keywords : male quail; seaweed by product; hematological status
