Abstract

Pupuk organik adalah pupuk yang berasal dari sisa-sisa tanaman yang mempunyai peran penting dalam memperbaiki sifat fisik, kimia, dan biologi tanah. Pupuk organik dapat menggemburkan tanah, memacuh. Tujuan penelitian adalah Untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk serta jenis pupuk organik yang terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kacang hijau Vigna radiata, L, Yang dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Libuo, Kecamatan dungigi, Kabupaten Gorontalo, Provinsi Gorontalo dilanjutkan analisis tanah dan pupuk di Laboratorium Ilmu Tanah Makassar Sulawesi Selatan. Metode penelitian menggunakan rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari 5 taraf perlakuan yaitu tanah (kontrol), tanah + pupuk kandang ayam (3:1), tanah + pupuk kandang sapi (3:1), tanah + pupuk kandang kuda (3:1), tanah + pupuk kandang kambing (3:1). Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan ANOVA dengan uji lanjut dengan BNT (Beda Nyata Terkecil) pada taraf uji 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Pemberian pupuk organik tmemberikan pengaruh terhadap tinggi tanaman pada umur 2 MST dan jumlah polong pertanaman pada panen kedua tidak memberikan pengaruh pada tinggi tanaman umur 4 MST, 5 MST, 6 MST Jumlah polong pertanaman pada panen 1, bobot kering biji pertanaman,dan bobot 100 biji. pupuk organik yang sesuai untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kacang hijau adalah perlakuan dengan pemberian tanah + pupuk kendang sapi dengan kosentrasi 3:1 yang memberikanpengaruh terhadap parameter tinggi tanaman dan jumlah polong pertanaman.Kata Kunci: Kacang Hijau, Pupuk, Organik

Abstract

This research investigates the impact of organic fertilizer use on soil quality and agricultural yields in Indonesia through a qualitative analysis. Ten informants, including small-scale and large-scale farmers, agricultural experts, and environmentalists, provided insights into their perceptions and experiences. The study reveals diverse farmer perspectives, with small-scale farmers exhibiting limited awareness and large-scale farmers emphasizing long-term benefits. Organic fertilizers were found to positively influence soil quality, improving structure, water retention, and microbial activity. Crop-specific responses varied, highlighting the importance of considering regional agroecological conditions. Challenges such as access, affordability, and labor intensity were identified, countered by opportunities including government programs, cooperative farming, and consumer demand. Decision-making factors encompassed economic considerations, knowledge, environmental consciousness, and social influences. The synthesis underscores the need for tailored interventions, acknowledging the complexity of factors shaping the adoption of organic fertilizers in Indonesian agriculture.

Abstract

This research investigates the influence of sustainable agricultural practices on ecosystem balance and land productivity in Indonesia through a mixed-methods approach. A sample of 500 farmers across diverse regions participated in surveys and field measurements, contributing to a comprehensive analysis. The study reveals varying adoption rates of sustainable practices, with organic farming and agroforestry emerging as prominent choices. Statistical analysis using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) demonstrates significant positive relationships between sustainable practices and ecosystem indicators, including biodiversity, soil health, and crop yields. Regional variations highlight the context-specific nature of these practices. The findings carry implications for policy formulation, extension services, and the promotion of sustainable agriculture in Indonesia.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan adalah melakukan penyuluhan, pelatihan dan pendampingan pemberian pupuk kimia sesuai anjuran pada tanaman jagung bagi masyarakat tani desa Bunuo. Kegiatan ini berupa penyuluhan, pelatihan dan pendampingan yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober 2020. Kelompok sasaran pengabdian adalah masyarakat yang melakukan praktek pertanian tanaman jagung desa Bunuo. Pemberian pupuk kimia berdasarkan aturan tepat waktu, tepat dosis dan tepat cara, agar tanaman dapat tumbuh dengan baik, lingkungan tetap terjaga kelestariannya dan penggunaan pupuk kimia efisien dan efektif, serta petani tidak merugi secara finansial.

Abstract

Community Empowerment in the Fields of Education, Entrepreneurship, and the Environment in Villages is a comprehensive initiative encouraging holistic development and empowerment of rural communities. This service activity aims to empower the community through an integrated approach that addresses education, entrepreneurship, and the environment. This service method uses Participatory Action Research (PAR), which involves participatory needs assessments, tailored educational programs, entrepreneurial empowerment initiatives, and environmental awareness campaigns. Collaborative partnerships with community stakeholders, educators, entrepreneurs, and environmental advocates are integral to the success of this initiative. The results of this service show increased learning outcomes, entrepreneurial skills, and awareness of the environment in the village. Through local education, small-scale business support, and sustainable practices, community members have gained agency, economic security, and a sense of environmental responsibility. The success of this initiative underscores the interconnectedness of these pillars in promoting comprehensive community empowerment. So, the Community Empowerment initiative is a model for inclusive and sustainable development strategies in rural areas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis bibliometrik tentang tantangan dan peluang dalam penelitian pertanian organik, dengan fokus pada dampaknya terhadap keberlanjutan lingkungan dan kesehatan masyarakat. Pertanian organik telah menjadi sorotan utama dalam upaya mencapai keberlanjutan lingkungan dan kesehatan masyarakat, sebagai respons terhadap kekhawatiran akan dampak negatif pertanian konvensional. Namun, meskipun peningkatan minat dan praktik pertanian organik, masih banyak tantangan yang perlu diatasi untuk memastikan keberlanjutan lingkungan dan kesehatan masyarakat di masa depan. Melalui pendekatan analisis bibliometrik, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi tren penelitian, fokus penelitian, dan perkembangan ilmiah dalam domain pertanian organik, serta memberikan wawasan tentang peluang-peluang baru untuk meningkatkan keberlanjutan lingkungan dan kesehatan masyarakat melalui pendekatan pertanian organik.

Abstract

Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA) are plants with medicinal properties and are cultivated in home gardens as a form of community self-reliance in maintaining health and preventing disease. The lack of public knowledge regarding the types of TOGA, their processing methods, and their uses is a key reason for implementing this community service program. This activity aims to increase community knowledge and skills regarding the use of TOGA as a preventative measure against various common diseases. The program was implemented among 45 families in Suka Jaya Village through outreach, demonstrations, TOGA planting practices, and mentoring in the preparation of simple herbal concoctions. Evaluation was conducted using pre- and post-tests, practical observations, and interviews. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in community knowledge, from an average score of 52.6 to 88.4 after the education. Eighty-five percent of participants were able to practice TOGA planting, and 78% made simple concoctions such as warm ginger, tamarind turmeric, and lemongrass tea. The community considered the program very beneficial and wanted similar activities to continue regularly. This program can increase community awareness and self-reliance in maintaining health. The use of traditional medicinal plants (TOGA) is considered effective as a disease prevention measure and supports a healthy, natural, and affordable lifestyle. This initiative is recommended for implementation in other regions and further development through further training.

Abstract

Household waste is a growing environmental issue in line with population growth and changes in consumption patterns. Improper waste management can have negative impacts on health and the environment. This Community Service activity aims to increase public knowledge and awareness regarding environmentally friendly household waste management through a waste-aware community movement. Implementation methods include outreach, education, waste sorting demonstrations, and community mentoring. The results of the activity indicate an increase in community knowledge and skills in sorting and managing household waste, as well as the formation of positive attitudes toward clean living and environmental awareness. This program is expected to be the first step in creating a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment.
