Abstract

Surgery is one of the treatment actions that can trigger anxiety because of the physical threat from both surgical procedures and anesthesia. Anxiety responses can have a negative impact on patients if not treated properly. Therefore, psychological support is needed in dealing with anxiety, one of which can be obtained from the family. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between family support and anxiety levels in pre general anesthesia patients at Hasta Husada Hospital. The method in this study uses a quantitative research type with a cross-sectional approach. Sampling in this study using purposive sampling technique with a sample size of 30 people. Data processing was carried out statistically using the Spearman Rank correlation test. The results of this study are that most of the respondents received good family support, a total of 16 respondents (53.3 percent) and half of the respondents with a total of 15 respondents (50 percent) experiencing moderate anxiety. The results of the data analysis showed a significance value of (0.001) with a correlation coefficient of (0.592). The conclusion that can be drawn is that there is a relationship between family support and anxiety levels in pre general anesthesia patients at Hasta Husada Hospital. Suggestions from this study are families should be able to increase family support for pre general anesthesia patients to overcome anxiety

Abstract

High blood pressure is a cardiovascular syndrome characterized by increased arterial blood pressure which often occurs in the elderly. An unhealthy lifestyle will worsen the health condition of the elderly, especially regarding their blood pressure. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between lifestyle and blood pressure in the elderly in the Kendalkerep Community Health Center Working Area, Malang City. This research uses a correlative design with a cross sectional study approach. The sample in this study was all 80 elderly people >60 years old who were selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out using a lifestyle questionnaire. The data analysis method uses univariate and bivariate analysis. Bivariate analysis in this study used the Spearman Rank correlation test. The results of the research show that there is a relationship between lifestyle (physical activity p value = 0.000, diet p value = 0.000, resting habits p value = 0.000, smoking habits p value = 0.027, caffeine consumption habits p value = 0.001) and blood pressure. An unhealthy lifestyle can cause an increase in blood pressure, especially in the elderly. It is recommended that seniors always follow good lifestyle recommendations such as sufficient physical activity, avoiding excessive consumption of salt, coconut milk and fat, getting enough rest, reducing smoking and caffeine consumption. Abstract

Abstract: While undergoing hemodialysis therapy, patients experience health problems, including hemodynamic disorders, which are a common problem. Factors that cause changes in post-hemodialysis blood pressure can be caused by age. Elderly patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment experience an increase in blood pressure after hemodialysis by 80%. A possible factor causing an increase in post-hemodialysis blood pressure is age. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between age and increased post-hemodialysis blood pressure. The research design uses a "cross-sectional" approach. The sampling method used "purposive sampling" with 74 elderly people. Determination of respondents was based on the inclusion criteria of patients who experienced an increase in blood pressure after hemodialysis, and patients who routinely underwent hemodialysis therapy. Test data analysis using univariate analysis to determine the characteristics of respondents. Bivariate analysis used the Spearman rank test for the age variable which was associated with an increase in post-hemodialysis blood pressure. Age bivariate test with p-value 0.001. Abstract

Rapidly changing business environments require leaders to adapt their leadership styles to remain relevant and effective. Transformational leadership (TL) has been proven to be one of the most significant leadership approaches in improving employee performance, but its effectiveness is highly dependent on the organizational context, particularly environmental dynamism. This study uses a conceptual qualitative approach to explore previous empirical findings, identify inconsistencies, and formulate a new theoretical model regarding the relationship between TL and employee performance. The synthesis of results indicates that TL influences performance through psychological, socio-organizational, and adaptive mechanisms, with psychological empowerment and organizational adaptability as mediators, and environmental dynamism as a moderator. This study makes an important conceptual contribution by extending classic TL theory through the integration of contextual factors relevant to modern organizations. Theoretical and practical implications are presented as a basis for further empirical research
