Abstract

Background: Futsal is a popular sport in Indonesia, including Denpasar and Bali. This sport requires agility and high-skill techniques. Futsal requires players' skills in dribbling the ball well. Agility, the ability to move quickly and agilely, is an important physical component in futsal players, especially when dribbling. This study aimed to identify the relationship between the level of agility and dribbling skills in futsal players. Methods: The research design was observational analytic with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used was consecutive sampling. The inclusion criteria for this study were futsal players aged 18-22. In contrast, the exclusion criteria were injuries in the leg region. The total number of respondents who participated in this study was 83 people. The research location is in Denpasar City, Bali. Data was collected from September until December 2023. Data were collected by measuring agility and dribbling skills. Agility was calculated using the Illinois agility test measurement instrument, while dribbling skills used the dribbling test measurement instrument. Results: Based on the Spearman rho non-parametric analysis test, the p-value = 0.000 (p < 0.05) and the correlation coefficient r = 0.642. Conclusion: There was a relationship between agility and dribbling skills in futsal players in Denpasar.

Abstract

Background: Tailoring is an occupation pursued by a significant portion of the Indonesian population, and it is closely associated with working in a seated position. Tailors often experience rigid work postures and static muscle loads, which, if left unaddressed for extended periods, can increase the risk of work-related illnesses, one of which is lower back pain. Methods: This study employed an analytical observational method with a cross-sectional approach. The research subjects were determined using a total sampling technique. The total number of research subjects involved in this study was 37, adjusted based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The research data included the level of work posture risk which was measured by the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) and lower back pain measured by the Numeric Pain Rating Scale (NPRS). Results: The Spearman's rho hypothesis test was used to analyze the relationship between work posture and the occurrence of lower back pain at the garment in Bali, yielding a result of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant correlation. Conclusions: This research concluded that a significant correlation between work posture and lower back pain among tailors in Bali.

Abstract

Background: Futsal is a sport that involves using the feet to manipulate the ball and score as many goals as possible to reach the opponent's goal. It is crucial to have a strong command of basic techniques, including proficient dribbling skills. Dribbling talent is essential to getting past opponents' control and creating goal-scoring opportunities. The higher a player's skill in dribbling the ball, the greater his chances of winning. This study aimed to determine the potential correlation between leg muscle power and ball dribbling skills in futsal players. Methods: This study used observational analytical methods with a cross-sectional approach. Consecutive sampling was the technique used for the sampling process. This research was carried out from September to December 2023 at My Stadium Futsal Arena. A total of 89 people were recruited to participate in this study. In data collection, participants' leg muscle power was measured using a vertical jump test, and their dribbling skills were assessed using a dribbling test. Results: There was a significant relationship between leg muscle power and dribbling skills in futsal players. The higher the leg muscle power value, the better futsal players' dribbling skills. Conclusion: The findings indicated a correlation between leg muscle power and ball dribbling skills in futsal players.

Abstract

Background: Forward head posture (FHP) on bank workers who work a lot of time in front ofcomputer can cause balance problems due to anatomical changes in the neck. This can disrupt work productivity when further complaints occur. This research aimed to determine the relationship between FHP with static and dynamic balance among computer-using bank workers in Denpasar City. Methods: The study was an analytical observational study with a cross-sectional design. The sampling method used was purposive sampling. The sample size was 68 people determined by the Lemeshow method. Photogrammetry method used to assess CVA and determine FHP criteria. Single Leg Stance Test (SLS) was used to assess static balance, and the Star Excursion Balance Test (SEBT) was used to assess dynamic balance. The inclusion criteria were bank workers that had proven with an employee card, were 25-50 years of age, working with a computer for around 1-4 hours daily or more, had a minimum of one year of service as an employee, willing to be a subject, and filled out informed consent as the approval. Exclusion criteria included subjects having a history of musculoskeletal disorders. Results: Spearman rho analysis shows significant correlations between FHP with static and dynamic balance respectively, r = 0.817 and r =0.500 (p-values= 0.000). Conclusion: Based on the result, there are linear strong and moderate significance correlations between forward head posture with static and dynamic balance respectively on computer-using bank workers in Denpasar city. Posture education and stretching exercises through ergonomics training by the institution should be conducted to minimize the ongoing effects of FHP and prevent decreased work productivity.
