Abstract

This research was conducted in Nagari Lareh Nan Panjang, District VII Koto Sei. Sariak Padang Pariaman Regency with the aim of knowing the Forms of Social Action from Coconut Pickers (Pabaruak) in Nagari Lareh Nan Panjang. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method. In collecting data using observation research methods, in-depth interviews and also documentation. The theory used is the theory of Social Action from the character Max Weber in Wirawan's book which consists of Social Facts, Social Definitions, and Social Behavior. The results of this study are that the actions taken by the people of Nagari Lareh Nan Panjang who work as coconut pickers (Pabaruak) are included in the form of Instrumental Rational Action in the theory of social action in the character of Max Weber. Abstract

This research was conducted at Jongkok Market and Kayu Jati Market in Tembilahan, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The purpose of this study is to find out: 1) What is the social class of the people who buy Second hand in Tembilahan 2) Is there a relationship between social class and the purchase of second hand in the people of Tembilahan city. This research was a correlational quantitative research. The population of this research were people who bought used clothes at the Jongkok Market and Kayu Jati Market and the sample in this study were 100 respondents selected by using accidental sampling technique. Data instruments were Observations, Interviews and Questionnaires. Based on the results of the reserach it can be concluded that the social class of used clothing buyers based on indicator data on wealth, power, honor and knowledge was in the lower social class with a frequency of 58 respondents. The decision to bought used clothes was seen from the data on the stability indicator of buying after knowing the product information, deciding to bought because it was the most preferred brand, deciding to bought because it was in accordance with wants and needs, buying because it received recommendations from other people was at medium quality with a frequency of 67 respondents. Based on the calculation results of the correlation test, it was found that the Pearson product moment value was 0.599, the probability number was 0.00. The correlation coefficient value was 0.599 which lies in the range 0.4 – 0.59, it can be concluded the relationship between these variables was in the moderate category with a positive correlation, which means that the higher the social class of the buyer, the higher the quality of what their bought. Abstract

This study discusses about the mortivation of Riau University students in joining the Indonesian Islamic Student Movement Organization (PMII). PMII is a large organization that has the largest member base in Indonesia, PMII-at the Univerrsity of Riau is not very advanced and has several times stuck in its management, so that cadre formation does not run optimally, but it was found that several Riau University students joined PMII. This study aims to find out what the motivations of Riau Universitty students are in joining the Indonesian Islamic Student Movement (PMII) organization. This study used a descriptive qualitative method, and involved 4 informants who were Riau University students who joined PMII, and 1 (one) Key Informan who was an administrator from PMII Riau University Commissariat. Determination of informants using purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that there are environmental factor, ideological factors, the desire for achievement, network expansion, and power in the organization which are the driving factors for joining the PMII organization. Abstract

Program a slum management platform called Kota Tanpa Kumuh (KOTAKU) aims to improve infrastructure access so that a livable, productive, and sustainable community may be built. The community in the target location serves as the primary actor in the Kotaku program, which is a participatory development initiative. This study was carried out in Kota Pekanbaru, Kecamatan Payung Sekaki, Kelurahan Tirtasiak, and Kawasan Kota Lama. This study's goal was to examine the community's involvement in the Kota Tanpa Kumuh (KOTAKU) Program's implementation from each of its four participation stages, namely the planning, implementation, monitoring, and use stages. Identifying the elements that affect community engagement is another objective. With 77 respondents in all, this study used a descriptive quantitative methodology. According to the study's findings, community involvement is low during the planning, implementation, and monitoring phases, but high during the utilization phase. The level of community involvement is generally considered to be medium. The community's awareness or comprehension of the Kotaku Program has the biggest impact on participation.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was conducted on Jalan Soebrantas. The purpose of this study is to find out knowledge of parking attendants about parking that applies in accordance with the provisions and find out the quality of service provided by parking attendants on Jalan HR. Soebrantas Pekanbaru City. The technique of determining the sample is Saturated Sampling and determines the number of samples of 85 people. The author uses a quantitative descriptive method and data instruments are observation and interviews. The results found by researchers of knowledge of parking attendants along Jl. H.R Soebrantas Pekanbaru city can be said to be good and the service for parking attendants along Jl. Abstract

Women are an integral part of a society, including in poor communities. Women have the same potential as men to contribute to community development. But in reality, women are still not given a more role, even marginalized. Non-governmental organizations such as LPESM as one of the important elements in society that can help realize women’s empowerment. In essence poverty can start from low access to education causes low economic access. Which ultimately leads to poverty. Socialization is carried out that people are more enthusiastic about developing their business and preserving the environtment so that it remains green. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method. Data collection was carried out in this study in the form of diract observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. In conducting interviews, the informants were members of LPESM. Interpretation of data is carried out in stages starting from data collection, data reduction to conclusions. And the results of research that can be an alternative for villagers who want to develop ther businesses. And the inhibiting factors of LPESM in carrying mindsets and the difficulty of finding free time for housewives. Keywords: Women’s Empowerment, institution, role

Abstract

This research was conducted in Bidari Village, Tanjung Datuk, Mandah District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The problem that is examined is about how social capital among traders occurs in coconut traders in Bidari Tanjung Datuk Village, an analysis of social capital is carried out based on certain propositions. In choosing the subject, the researcher determines the subject based on the author's title, namely coconut traders. For the data collection process, the authors used interview guidelines and conducted in-depth interviews with all research subjects with the aim of obtaining valid data. The results in this study explain that there is a mutually beneficial relationship, which is based on trust in fellow traders. The relationships that were formed made traders mutually beneficial in trade and social life. This is in accordance with the theoretical proposition that the author uses, namely the theory of social capital. After analyzing it, it was found that all the propositions contained in the theory of social capital can be applied in the case of traders who are meticulous researchers. Abstract

The phenomenon of vaping is no longer unfamiliar to Indonesian society. This trend has sparked curiosity among various groups of people as it is seen as unique and different. Some individuals consider vaping as an alternative to quit smoking. Similarly, underage adolescents, who are prohibited from using vape, are also drawn to this trend. This phenomenon is particularly prevalent among school students who enjoy hanging out at coffee shops. This research was conducted at Satutuju Kopi Pekanbaru with the aim of understanding the driving factors behind underage adolescents using vape and the health effects of vape use on students. The research employed a descriptive qualitative research method, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The study involved six primary informants and two supporting informants as research subjects. The results reveal that the driving factors behind underage adolescents using vape and the effects of vape use on students are influenced by environmental factors and lifestyle choices. The perceived impacts include addiction, leading to dependency and difficulty in quitting. This research provides valuable insights into the driving factors behind underage adolescents using vape at Satutuju Kopi Pekanbaru and its impact on their health. The implications of this research can be used to develop effective prevention and intervention strategies to reduce underage vape use and increase awareness of the health risks associated with vaping. Abstract

This research was conducted in the Pematang Pudu Village with the aim of knowing the things that influence behavior resulting from playing the higgs domino island game and to find out the impact caused by playing the higgs domino island game. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. The subjects in this study were 5 teenage informants in the Pematang Pudu Village who actively played the online game higgs domino island. As well as using interview techniques, observation, and documentation. The data sources used consist of primary data and secondary data. The results showed that there were things that influenced the higgs domino online game to occur, namely internal factors, namely lack of activity or boredom, stress or depression, and diversity of choices and external factors, namely the environment of peers and family. As well as having a positive impact, namely online higgs domino game players are addicted because the profits are in the form of money and the negative impacts are addiction, health problems, having debt, lazy to study, irregular sleep patterns.
