Abstract

This research was conducted in Buatan II Village, Koto Gasib District, Siak Regancy, Riau Province. The purpose of this research is to find out: 1) peaple's motivation to play the higgs domino island game. 2) the impact of playing the higgs domino island game in Buatan II Village, Koto Gasib District, Siak Regancy. To achieve this goal, descriptive quantitative research using the slovin formula was used, the number of respondents was 102 respondents. This study uses simple random sampling through data collection techniques of observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The results of the research on pepale's motivation to play the higgs domino island game can be seen that there is a desire, and this desire arises because of good network access. There is hope and that hope is to gain victory. There is a need, and that need is the need to feel proud when you win. The existence of goal and objectives, and goals and objectives as entertainment. There is an incentive, abd that incentive is to earn money. The results of the research on the impact of playing the higgs domino island game can be seen that the positive impact of playing the higgs domino island game is that it can fill spare time. When resting after doing their respective activities, it turns out that the free time can be filled by playing the game higgs domino island. Abstract

This study was conducted on sociology Universitas Riau student. This study aimed to analyze student motivation levels of Covid-19 vaccination using Protection Motivation Theory that was developed by Ronald Rogers (1975). Protection Motivation Theory has fourth pillar components : perceived severity; perceived vulnerability; response effectiveness; and self-efficacy. Research is using a descriptive quantitative method and using Simple Random Sampling as sampling technique. Data collection on this research is carried out by spreading questionnaire on Google Form. The collected data has processed using Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) 25. Result of this research revealed that students motivation in Covid-19 vaccination is in the high levels and the respondent was revealed positive response on Covid-19 vaccionation. Abstract

This research was conducted at MTC Panam, Pekanbaru city. The purpose of this research is to find out: 1) How is the work environment and wages received by culinary outlet employees at MTC Panam 2) How is the work motivation of culinary outlet employees at MTC Panam 3) How is the influence of the work environment and wages on the work motivation of culinary outlet employees at MTC Panam MTC Panam. This research uses an inferential quantitative method. the population of this study were employees of culinary outlets at MTC Panam totaling 70 people and the sample in this study was 41 respondents. Sampling using simple random sampling technique (simple random sampling). the data instruments are Observation, Interview and Documentation. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the work environment based on indicator data of lighting, air temperature, noise, use of color, space, work security and employee relations at culinary outlet employees at MTC Panam is quite comfortable with a frequency of 34 respondents. The wages received by employees of culinary outlets at MTC Panam are seen from the data on indicators of wages and salaries, incentives and bonuses, THR and facilities received by employees, the wages received by employees of culinary outlets at MTC Panam are in accordance with the frequency of 29 respondents who feel they are in accordance with their needs. The work motivation of culinary outlet employees at MTC Panam is high with a frequency of 40 respondents. There is a relationship between work environment and wages with work motivation. There is an influence of the work environment and wages on employee work motivation, the better the work environment and wages, the higher the work motivation. Abstract

This research was conducted in the Sungai Andok landfill West Padang Panjang District, Padang Panjang City with the aim of knowing the factors of the community living in the Sungai Andok landfill and knowing the level of community adaptation in the Sungai Andok landfill area. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Data collection was carried out using interview techniques, direct observation, and documentation. The results of the analysis showed that the factors that caused the six families to settle in the Sungai Andok landfill were due to land ownership, proximity to businesses, and the opening of new job opportunities as scavengers. In an effort to adapt six families in the landfill area, there are two forms of adaptation that are carried out, namely adaptation to comfort and adaptation to health. The six informants who live in the Sungai Andok landfill area feel comfortable because they have lived in the landfill area for a long time, but sometimes the smell and flies caused by the presence of the landfill disturb the comfort. Adaptations to health carried out by the six informants were routinely bathing, eating regularly, always cleaning the yard, always washing hands. By doing this, the six informants thought that they had made efforts to maintain their health while they lived in the landfill area. Keywords: Environmental Adaptation, landfill, Comfort, and Health

Abstract

The implementation of replanting activities causes the economic condition of farmers to be less stable so that the needs of the farmer’s families are not optimally met. This study aims to determine the economic conditions of oil palm farmers and also to determine the survival strategies of oil palm farmers against oil palm replanting activities in Banjar Panjang Village, Kerumutan District, Pelalawan Regency. This type of research use descriptive analysis with a quantitative approach. The total population in this study were 245 oil palm farmers who carried out replanting. Sampling used in this study is a simple random sampling technique using the Taro Yamane formula totaling 71 oil palm farmers. The results of the study at the time of oil palm replanting took place, the survival strategy that was mostly applied by respondents was a passive strategy, then an active strategy, and the least was a network strategy. Abstract

Cosplay or Cosplayer is an activity of dressing and behaving like a character in Japanese Animation or called Anime, this phenomenom originating from Japan is widespread through the use of social media and gets a lot of attention for social media users around the world. Reseached one the famous Cosplay Communities in Pekanbaru namely Seikatsu.The purpose of this study was to find out how the Cosplayers’ self-concept and how the environmental factors formed the selfconcept in this study, the subyek taking technique used purposive sampling which had determined the criteria in this study.The theory usedin the reasech is The Looking Glass Self of Charles Horton Cooley. The results of the study are the factors that cause the formation of a Cosplayer’s Self-concept is a friend, startingfrom a friend who introduces him to Japanese popular culture, so that Cosplayers who don’t know anything about Japanese Popular Culture began yo have an intrest in the culture originating form Japan. The Second is that the invironment introduces many new cultures such as Cosplay. Cosplay is often shown during big holidays such as New Year, Hallowen, Chinese New Year,even on Independence Day 17 August, not infrequently Mall and Hotel also make special event such as Japanse Cultural performance or called Bunkasai so that it attracts people’s attention, from the event the audience enjopys and likes what they see. And the third is the media, media plays a major role in the development of popular culture throughout the world. Abstract

The rapid interest of young people to pursue the barista’s in Indonesia is influenced by the values and existence of social media. The phenomenon of barista dramaturgy on social media shows that there is a disparity in baristas who seek this profession to fulfill their daily needs. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research approach using the purposive sampling technique. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results show that baristas build personal branding on social media for self-existence and increase coffee shop marketing, but in the world of work personal branding is done to improve professionalism as a barista. Baristas who make this profession their main source of income cannot meet their daily needs because the income is not commensurate with the barista's dependents and lifestyle. The front stage of the barista can be seen from the way the barista builds personal branding in the media and professionalism at work. Abstract

This research was conducted at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Riau University, Pekanbaru City. The purpose of this study is to find out: 1) what is the motivation of sociology students of Fisip Universitas Riau for offline lectures, 2) how to adapt students of sociology Fisip Universitas Riau to offline lectures. This research uses a descriptive Quantitative method. Data collection techniques in this study are observations, questionnaires, and documentation. This study used simple random sampling, where there were 83 respondents. The data analysis technique in this study is descriptive quantitative using SPSS version 23. The results of the research on the motivation of students to carry out offline lectures can be seen that because of the need for achievement, because each individual wants to excel in any case. There is a need for power, because it is man's greatest desire for power, and the need for affiliation, because human beings social beings need to make friends, interact and socialize. The results of student adaptation research carrying out offline lectures can be seen that there are 4 phases of cultural shock in cultural adaptation, namely the honeymoon phase where a person experiences excitement as an initial reaction to an admiration, full of enthusiasm for new things, enthusiastic, friendly, and has a good relationship with the surrounding population. A frustrating phase, phase in which the attraction of new things of a person slowly begins to turn into a sense of frustration. Phase of readjustment the phase in which a person begins to resolve the crisis experienced in the frustrating phase. Abstract

This research was conducted in Pekanbaru City with the aim of explaining how social support is a standard for special treatment of parents for children with cancer and also explaining how parents are constrained in providing social support. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Data collection was carried out using indepth interview techniques, direct observation and documentation. The results of the analysis show that social support is divided into four, namely emotional support, informative support, reward support, and instrumental support. In caring for and caring for children who are suffering from cancer, parents provide social support in order to increase the quality of life of their children. In providing social support, parents must be more patient in dealing with their children, this is because children who are suffering from cancer become more spoiled by their parents. In this study, there were several obstacles faced by parents in providing social support such as lack of education and information on how to care for and care for children who were suffering from cancer and also economic constraints in meeting all the needs of children. Abstract

This study discusses the use of social capital in the development of Puncak Ulu Kasok Tourism Object. This tourism development aims to provide benefits and benefits for the surrounding community, besides that tourism development must be in accordance with careful planning so that it is beneficial to the community, both in terms of economy, social and culture. This study aims to determine: How is the social capital of the community in the development of ulu kasok tourism in Pulau Gadang Village. This study uses qualitative methods, the data sources used are primary data and secondary data. Research informants who became key informants in this study were 5 people, namely: 4 Ulu Kasok tourism managers also an owner of Ulu Kasok tourism. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. The results obtained in this study in managing and developing Puncak Ulu Kasok Tourism, it has been influenced by social capital. In this case, they really use social capital to manage and develop tourism by establishing a network. In order to strengthen trust then build a network with norms.
