Abstract

Rubber plants (Hevea brasiliensis) is a important crop plantations in Indonesia and because contributor offoreign exchange after oil palm. The study aimed to examine the effect of bio-fertilizer formulations powder containactive Bacillus sp. and get the best formulations on the growth of rubber seedlings (Hevea brasiliensis) mini stumb. Theresearch was conducted at the Laboratory of Plant Pathology Faculty of Agriculture and the technical implementationunit of agriculture faculty of Riau University, in December 2014 until May 2015. The methods of research is experimentallywith using completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The data were analyzed statisticallywith using analysis of variance and followed by Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test at level á = 5%. The parametersmeasured were increase of seedling height increment, stem circumference, in the number of leaves, the ratio of crownroots and dry weight. The results of the research showing aplication formulations of Bacillus sp. were tested hassignificant effect on seedling height increment and the number of leaves but not real effect on stem circumference, theratio of crown roots and dry weight. Formulations Bacillus sp. with material peat is the best formulation to influenceseedling height increment and the number of leaves seed rubber mini stumb.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of giving inorganic fertilizer NPKMg and organic super K fertilizer and to get the best combination dose of inorganic fertilizer NPKMg and organic super K fertilizer on the growth of oil palm seedlings at the age of 7 months. This research was conducted for 6 months starting from October 2020 to April 2021. Using a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The first factor is inorganic fertilizer NPKMg with 2 levels, namely A1: 7.5 g per polybag, A2: 10 g per polybag. The second factor is super K organic fertilizer with 3 levels, namely K1 : 6.25 g per polybag, K2 : 12.5 g per polybag, K3 : 18.75 g per polybag. Parameters observed were plant height, number of midribs, leaf width, leaf length and bulb circumference. The data obtained were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance and further tested with Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) level 5% using the SPSS application. The results showed that the application of inorganic fertilizer NPKMg 10 g per polybag was able to increase the growth of oil palm seedlings in the main nursery. Application of organic fertilizer super K 12.5 g per polybag was able to increase the growth of oil palm seedlings. The combination of inorganic fertilizer NPKMg 10 g per polybag and organic fertilizer super K 12.5 g per polybag gave the best results for the growth of oil palm seedlings.Keywords: NPKMg inorganic fertilizer, super K organic fertilizer, oil palm seedlings

Abstract

Porang (Amorphophallus muelleri Blume.) is one of the plants that has the potential to be cultivated on peatlands. The limited number of seeds and fertile land that is decreasing indicates that efforts need to be made to increased the production and productivity of porang. This research aimed to increase the growth of porang on peat media for 6 months after planting by using bulbil size with dolomite. This research was conducted in the Technical Management Unit of Experimental Gardens, Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University from October 2020 to April 2021. This study was 4x3 factorial experiment arranged according to completely randomized design. The first factor was bulbil size which consists of four levels, (at 5,0 g-7,5 g; >7,5 g-10 g; >10 g-12,5 g; >12,5 g-15.0 g) and the second factor dose of dolomite consists of three levels, (at 2,5 ton.ha-1; 5,0 ton.ha-1; 7,5 ton.ha-1). Parameters observed were growth power, plant height, stem diameter, canopy width, rachis length, number of leaves, number of leaflets, and number of bulbil formed. Based on the results of the study, it was shown that porang has the potential to be developed in Riau Province, because it is able to adapted well to peat soils. The use of bulbil size 12,5-15,0 g and dolomite at a dose of 7,5 ton.ha-1 showed a better response to the growth of porang plants than other treatments. The results showed that the application of dolomite can improve some of the chemical properties of peat soil. Keywords : Bulbil, Dolomite, Porang, Peat

Abstract

 1This study aims to determine the effect of applying NPKMg compound fertilizer and super K organic fertilizer and to get the best combination for the growth of oil palm seedlings in the main nursery, which was held from October 2020 to April 2021 in Sekijang Village, Tapung Hilir District, Kampar Regency. This research was conducted experimentally using a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The first factor is NPKMg compound fertilizer with 2 levels, namely A1: 7.5 g per polybag, A2: 10 g per polybag. The second factor is super K organic fertilizer with 3 levels, namely O1 : 6.25 g per polybag, O2 : 12.5 g per polybag, O3 : 18.75 g per polybag. Parameters observed were hump circumference, root wet weight, root dry weight, canopy wet weight, and canopy dry weight. The data obtained were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance and further tested with Duncan's multiple distance test at a level of 5% using the SPSS application. The results showed that the application of 10 g NPKMg compound fertilizer per polybag was able to increase the growth of oil palm seedlings in the main nursery. The application of super K organic fertilizer at the level of 12.5 g per polybag was able to increase the growth of oil palm seedlings. Abstract

The research was aimed to see the effect interaction of giving tofu dregs compost and npk fertilizer to get the right dose towards growth and the highest production of purple eggplant. The research was conducted at Experimental Garden, Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University, Pekanbaru. The research was conducted for 5 months, from february to june 2020. The reasearch was conducted experimentally in 2 factors. The first factor was the of tofu waste compost consists of 3 levels (0, 10 and 20 ton.ha-1). The second factor was the of NPK fertilizer (0, 100 and 150 kg.ha-1) which consist  of nine treatments combination. The observed parameterswere  the height of the plant (cm),  the days of flowering (days), the days of harvesting (days), the  fruit length (cm), the fruit diameter (cm), the number of fruits per plant (fruit), the fruit weight per fruit (g), the fruit weight per plant (g) and the fruit weight with plot (g). The data  in this research was analyzed in using variance and followed by Duncan's multiple distance test at 5% level.  The results showed that tofu waste compost and NPK fertilizer increased the growth of eggplant such as  the height of the plant,  the days of flowering, the days of harvesting, the number of fruits per plant, the fruit length, the fruit weight per fruit, the fruit weight per plant and the fruit weight with plot and does not increase fruit diameter. The giving tofu waste compost at a dose  20 ton.ha-1  and NPK fertilizer 150 kg.ha-1  gave the best eggplant growth and production until the plants were 90 DAP

Abstract

The research aimed to determine the effect of interaction giving sludge and cow urine to the growth of oil palm seeds (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) and get a suitable combination for the growth of oil palm seedlings in main nursery. The research was conducted from May to September 2014. The research used to completely randomized design (CRD) factorial consisting of two factors. The first factor is the sludge consists of 4 levels: sludge dose of 0 g/plant, sludge dose of 75 g/plant, sludge dose of 100 g/plant and sludge dose of 125 g/plant. The second factor is the concentration of cow urine consists of 4 levels: cow urine concentrations of 0 %/plant, cow urine concentration of 5 %/plant, cow urine concentration of 10 %/plant and cow urine concentration of 10 %/plant. From two factors then obtained 16 combined treatment with 3 replications. Parameters measured were increase of seed high, increase of midrib number, increase of hump circumference, root crown ratio and dry seeds weight. The data were analyzed using ANOVA followed by DNMRT further test at 5% level. The results of the research showed that application sludge and cow urine on oil palm seed there is interaction between giving of sludge and cow urine on increase of seed high and increase of hump circumference. Combination treatment of sludge dose with 125 g/plant and cow urine concentration of 5 %/plant showed the best results of all observed parameters. Keywords: Sludge, cow urine, oil palm, main nursery

Abstract

This study aim to determine the effect of compost on the growth of           Azolla microphylla PB 260 clone rubber seedlings mini stump. This research has been conducted at Agriculture Faculty, University of Riau starting from April to July 2013. The research was carried out experimentally using completely randomized design non factorial consisting of 4 treat ments  and 3 replications, obtained 12 experimental units and each unit consists of 3 seeds so that total earned is 36 rubber seedlings and as sample 2 seedlings per unit experiment. Compost treatment given to the provision of  treatment levels; 0, 15, 30 and 45 g/polybag (0, 10, 20 and 30 ton/ha) mixed by weighing soil 3 kg. The data were statistically analyzed using analysis of variance, followed by Duncan's test New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at the level of 5%. Parameters observed are lenght of grafting (cm), stem graft girth (cm), number of leaves (sheet), leaf area (cm²) and shoot root ratio (g). Giving Azolla microphylla compost on growing mini stump  rubber seedling significantly effect on extending the graft and number of leaves. Meanwhile, for stem graft girth, leaf area and shoot root ratio reveal not significant. Compost dosing 30 g/polybag shows the best results for the growth of rubber seedlings mini stump compared them 0, 15 and 45 g/polybag. Abstract

The purpose of this research to know the effectof bioslurry fertilizer, NPK, and interaction andgetthe bestcombinationto the growthoil palm seedsinmain nursery. This research is conducted by using the Complete Random Device (CDR) consists of2 factors with 3 repetitions. The first factor is bioslurry fertilizer and the second factor is NPK. Data were analyzedusingANOVAandfollowed byfurther Different Real Honest (DRH)testat5% level. The parameters which been observed were the increment of seeds height (cm), increment of seeds leaf (sheet), increment of seeds hump diameter (cm) and root volume of seeds (ml). The results of research showed the combination of bioslurry fertilizer with NPK gived real effect to increment of seeds hump diameter (cm) and root volume of seeds (ml). 200 ml/polybag of bioslurry fertilizer with 10 g/polybag of NPK is the best combination. Giving of bioslurry fertilizer gived real effect to increment of seeds leaf (sheet) and root volume of seeds (ml). 200 ml/polybag of bioslurry fertilizer is the best bioslurry fertilizertreatment. Giving of NPK gived real effect to increment of seeds height (cm), increment of seeds leaf (sheet) and root volume of seeds (ml). 10 g/polybag of NPK is the best NPK treatment. Abstract

The utilization of peat as a growing medium is oil palm breeding prospect of oil palm plantations that need to be studied, because the peat soil fertility is low, then the addition of compost and fertilizer micro as ameliorant material to improve soil fertility in peat. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of compost and fertilizer micro-dose combinations as well to get the best fertilizer in oil palm seedlings in peat medium .This study was performed experimentally using a completely randomized design experiments (CRD) with 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor is the dose of compost fertilizer (K) which consists of 4 levels and the second factor is the dose of micro (M), which consists of 2 levels. The parameters measured were high accretion seeds (cm), increase the number of leaves (leaf), seed weevil added girth (cm), ratio feature roots and dry weight of seedlings (g). The data analysis results were significant statistical test followed by Duncan's test New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at the 5% level. The results showed that the best combination found in compost dose of 150g/ poly bag and fertilize rmicro4g/poly bag, but did not differ significantly with doses of50g/poly bag compost fertilizer micro poly bag and 4g/poly bag being able to show the highest results in the high gain parameter seeds, increase the number of leaves, seed we eviladded girth, crown root ratio and dry weight of  seedlings.   Keywords: Palm oil, compost, fertilizer micro, combination treatment

Abstract

The objective of this study was to know the effect of giving stimulant ethephon to latex production increase and to obtain the best dose of stimulant ethephon with groove application technique. The experiment was carried out rubber plantation of  citizenry. Bencah Kelubi village, Tapung Subdistrict, Kampar Regency from February to March 2015.The study arranged experimentally using Completely Randomized Block Design with five treatments and Four block then obtained 20 experimental units. The treatments were ethephon dose 0 cc plant-1 (without ethephon’s application), ethephon dose 0,3 cc plant-1, ethephon dose 0,6 cc plant-1, ethephon dose 0,9 cc plant-1, and ethephon dose 1,2 cc plant-1. Parameters observed were duration of latex flow, volume of latex and Dry Rubber Content. Data were analyzed statistically using ANOVA and followed by LSD at level of 5%. The results showed that ethephon’s application real effect to increase on duration of latex flow and the volume of latex. ethephon’s application dose 0,3 cc plant-1 showed the best result for duration of latex flow (the increase of 0 cc plant-1 were 0,321 ml/minute) and volume of latex (the increase of control were 25,633 ml. Ethephon’s application dose 0,3 cc plant-1 showed dry rubber content relatively better than other treatment were 71,078%. Keywords : Heveabrasiliensis Muell Arg., ethephon, groove application
