Abstract

Indonesia government sets a minimum competency assessment to prepare students in Indonesia for the 21st century and one of thinking skill that students must has been critical thinking skills. This study aims to develop an instrument test to measure critical skill that students have which are which followed by the minimum competency assessment for elasticity and Hooke’s Law high secondary level. Furthermore, the instrument was developed on a research and development model and based on the development of an 8 steps test instrument by Mc Entire. The instrument test was validated by material experts who had been analyzed using Aiken V. This instrument tested on senior high school students and categorized as having a high reliability. Based on this, the measurement critical of thinking which is characterized by assessment competency minimum on elasticity and Hooke's law, in general can be done with this instrument. This research is beneficials as character-based essay tests to enhance critical thinking skills in high school students, focusing on elasticity and Hooke's law. It's intended as a tool to develop and refine these essential skills required for minimum competency assessments.

Abstract

Urgensi pengabdian pada masyarakat (P2M) ini, berdasarkan hasil survei awal di SMP Negeri 1 Cipanas, rumusan masalahnya yaitu: 1) siswa kurang menguasai teknologi informasi dan kurang terampil menggunakan PhET Simulation; 2) siswa merasa bosan ketika belajar di kelas; 3) pembelajaran di kelas kurang aktif; 4) penggunaan media dan video pembelajaran terbatas; 5) kemampuan literasi dan numerasi siswa masih rendah sesuai dengan hasil TKA. Oleh karena itu, solusi permasalahan yang ditawarkan adalah peningkatan penguasaan teknologi informasi, literasi, dan numerasi yang memberikan alternatif bagi pendidik dan peserta didik dalam memanfaatkan berbagai media pembelajaran secara luring maupun daring melalui Physics Education and Technology (PhET). Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi dan numerasi sekaligus memberikan pemahaman serta keterampilan kepada siswa dalam memanfaatkan PhET Simulation sebagai media pembelajaran fisika berbasis STEM. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan pelatihan interaktif, yang meliputi pre-test, penyampaian materi, penggunaan simulasi PhET, serta post-test. Hasil pelaksanaan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan literasi siswa dari rata-rata 67 menjadi 72, dan numerasi dari 59 menjadi 64. Sehingga kegiatan pelatihan menggunakan PhET Simulation ini dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi dan numerasi siswa serta mendukung SDGs no. 4 (quality education).

Abstract

This study aims to develop a SETS-based digital physics module (Science, Environment, Technology, and Society) on Global Warming material that is valid for use as self-teaching material for grade X high school students. The research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Data were collected using Google Forms questionnaires and validation test sheets. The results of the preliminary research conducted with students and teachers at SMAN 54 Jakarta, involving a total of 54 respondents, showed that 31.5% of respondents have a strong understanding of how science, environment, technology, and society are interrelated in their daily lives, and 96.3% believe that SETS-based digital modules can help increase awareness of global warming issues. The validation of the SETS-based digital physics module on global warming material, developed using Canva, was conducted by material experts (score 87.78%), learning experts (score 74%), and media experts (score 82.5%). The results of the product trial at school showed positive responses from teachers (score 93%) and students (score 90.81%). Based on these results, the developed SETS-based digital physics module is very valid for use as self-teaching material in physics learning on the topic of Global Warming.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive digital module based on STEM by utilizing the Canva and Heyzine Flipbooks platforms as supporting media. The benefits of this study are to contribute to the development of STEM-based learning concepts, especially in renewable energy materials. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 59 Jakarta in the even semester of 2025. This research method used Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The results of this study indicate that the developed product is declared very feasible to use, with an assessment from media experts of 89% (very feasible), material experts 86% (very feasible), and learning experts 96% (very feasible). The product trial results also showed a high level of feasibility, namely 96% (very good) from teachers and 85% (very good) from students. Thus, the interactive digital module based on STEM on renewable energy material is suitable for use as a physics teaching material in high school.
