Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk perancangan sistem instalasi perpipaan irigasi tetes pada lahan pertanian budidaya tanaman hortikultura yang dilakukan pada lahan terbuka dengan ukuran 40x80 meter dengan Sumber air untuk penyiraman tanaman holtikutura pada lahan terbuka adalah bak penampung air dengan ukuran 12x8 meter. tujuan penelitian adalah untuk merancang sistem instalasi perpipaan pada jaringan irigasi tetes pada lahan pertanian budidaya tanaman hortikultura. Perancangna ini mengunakan metode perancangan, Metode perancangan dibutuhkan untuk memudahkan perancang untuk merancang dan mengembangkan rancangan. Tahapan-tahapan pada metode rancangan mulai dari pencarian ide rancangan kemudian mencari permasalahan dan tujuan dari rancangan itu. Perancangan system irigasi tetes ini menggunakan dua mode operasi yaitu system tower dan system pompa. System tower memompa air dari bak penampung ke tower kemudian di teruskan ke system jaringan secara bergilir ke masing-masing Jalur A, Jalur B dan Jalur C. Dari hasil analisis yang diperoleh untuk kebutuhan daya dengan menggunakan system tower yaitu 112,5025 W, Sedangkan system pompa tanpa melalui tower yang dapat dioperasikan secara bersamaan kesemua jalur maupun secara terpisah ke Jalur A , Jalur B dan Jalur C. Dari hasil analisis diperoleh kebutuhan daya pompa adalah 350 W Dengan total head 22 m.

Abstract

Along with the development of drying process technology, solar energy is used as an energy source whose availability will never run out and this energy can also be used as alternative energy which will be converted into electrical energy, drying It is hoped that using a solar dryer will be able to produce high quality copra and be a form of saving on electrical energy usage. After testing 3 times using direct heating from a solar energy source and 2 variations of heater heating elements with a power of 110 watts and 260 watts respectively, the most efficient results were obtained, namely in testing using a 100 watt heating element on the second day. During the 4 hours of testing, the water content value that came out of the coconut meat reached 22.49% compared to testing on the first and third days. This is caused by changes in environmental temperature (Tl) and environmental humidity (Hl) which affect the temperature conditions in the equipment drying room. For testing using 260 watts of power, the results were not efficient because it has very high power so that the energy stored in the battery cannot work during the 4 hours of drying time.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) dalam rangka mendorong peningkatan usaha budidaya produksi tanaman hortikultura di desa Bea Kakor, kecamatan Ruteng, kabupaten Manggarai, di propinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur, dilakukan dengan teknologi Sistem Irigasi Tetes (SIT) dalam kebun green house melalui pelaksanaan PKM Undana yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei–Juli tahun 2023. Kegiatan ini juga melibatkan Mahasiswa (6 orang dari prodi Teknik Mesin dan 1 orang dari prodi Agrobisnis) dalam kegiatan magang terintegrasi dan program KKN tematik Undana periode semester Genap tahun 2022/2023. Sistem irigasi tetes yang diaplikasikan menggunakan sistem gravitasi dimana air dari sumber dipompa ke tower penampung (1100 liter) kemudian dialirkan secara gravitasi ke setiap lajur tanaman, terdapat 6 lajur dengan panjang per lajur 5 m dengan jarak tanaman 0,3 m, sehingga terdapat 96 pohon tanaman yang ada dalam green house. Namun sebelumnya dialirkan melalui filter air irigasi tipe Y disk, venturi injector pupuk, pipa utama (PVC 1 inch), pipa pembagi (PVC 0,75 inch) dan selang drip (0,75 inch) serta selang piping (17 mm) ke setiap pohon (tanaman).

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan memberdayakan Pemuda GMIT Lanud El-Tari di Penfui melalui pengembangan usaha hortikultura berkelanjutan. Permasalahan utama adalah kondisi tanah berbatuan, kurang subur, dan kendala pengairan yang menghambat inisiatif budidaya tanaman umur pendek. Solusi yang diterapkan adalah pembangunan instalasi irigasi tetes berbasis gravitasi, meliputi tower setinggi 2 meter, profiltank 1.200 liter, dan instalasi drip 150 micron untuk 100 titik tanam meliputi cabe 25 pot, tomat 25 pot, sawi 25 potn dan semangka 25 pot. Sistem ini terbukti sangat efisien, dengan total kebutuhan air harian 276 liter, yang dapat dilayani profiltank hingga 5 hari. Hasil panen awal (cabai 10 kg, tomat 12 kg, pitcay 20 kg) membuktikan potensi ekonomi dan digunakan sebagai Diakonia Karitatif. Namun, hasil semangka kurang maksimal (<3 kg) akibat kendala pemupukan dan seleksi buah. Kegiatan ini sukses menciptakan model budidaya efisien air dan mendorong manajemen kewirausahaan jemaat.

Abstract

The thermal energy storage system through sand media is one of the energy storage solutions that has great potential to be developed to meet energy needs. PCM is a type of latent heat storage that has been developed as a good thermal energy storage material. The purpose of this study was to analyze the efficiency of thermal energy storage in sand media equipped with phase change material (PCM) stored in a drum container as a sand battery. The results of this study indicate that the use of sand batteries without PCM tends to be low at the beginning of the heating time by the heater element and increases at the end of the heating time. The use of PCM where the PCM changes phase from solid to liquid tends to absorb higher heat than media without PCM so that efficiency increases and tends to be stable until the heat release process is also longer than media without PCM. Abstract

The fisheries sector is one of the key drivers of the Indonesian economy. One type of fish that is widely cultivated is tilapia. The market demand for tilapia is increasing annually. However, in general, tilapia farmers still employ conventional methods in fish farming, such as feeding fish and maintaining pond cleanliness. Of course, this method is more tiring and requires a lot of time. The purpose of this study is to design an automatic feeder equipped with a filter system to control fish feeding, in conjunction with a water purification system for fish ponds. The study was conducted by building an automatic feeder machine for automatic feeding and an automatic filter to control the quality of water clarity in the pond. From the test results, the amount of feed dispensed by the automatic feeder in 30 seconds, 40 seconds, 50 seconds, and 60 seconds was 142.2 g, 189.9 g, 231.8 g, and 269.2 g, respectively. The throwing distance and distribution of feed were 3 m and 70 °. The proximity sensor is used to control the availability of feed in the storage tube, providing a warning if the amount of feed is less than the minimum limit. Abstract

Rice husks are an agricultural waste product with significant potential as an environmentally friendly alternative energy source through their use as fuel for rice husk stoves. This community service activity aims to be the first step toward achieving energy independence for cooking in Niskolen Hamlet, Tuapanaf Village. The implementation method involves disseminating and transferring rice husk stove technology to pre-prosperous families, ensuring that this appropriate technology will be increasingly sought after and utilized by residents in every hamlet within Tuapanaf Village. The outcome of this community service activity is that the implementation of rice husk stoves will provide economic and social benefits. Rice husks are a cheap and environmentally friendly alternative energy source, utilizing abundant agricultural waste and reducing dependence on kerosene, the availability of which fluctuates. The use of rice husks not only reduces smoke but also shortens cooking time compared to firewood. The time saved from gathering firewood can be used by women for other productive activities or for personal development.

Abstract

Abstrak: Program Pemberdayaan Masyarakat oleh Mahasiswa (PMM) bekerja sama dengan mitra kelompok tani Bethesda yang dilaksanakan di lokasi mitra di Desa Penfui Timur, Kecamatan Kupang Tengah, propinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur untuk mendorong peningkatan usaha budidaya produksi tanaman hortikultura. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk melakukan penerapan teknologi Sistem Irigasi Tetes (SIT) dengan energi hijau sebagai sumber energi sistem berupa aplikasi energi surya. Pendampingan kepada anggota kelompok tani Bethesda (15 orang) dan aplikasi penggunaan teknologi tersebut untuk mengatasi persoalan mitra yakni menurunnya tingkat produksi hingga kegagalan panen oleh petani akibat kekeringan. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan adalah melalui focus group discussion (FGD) dan praktik langsung dilapangan tentang teknologi tersebut. Evaluasi melalui kuisioner yang diberikan kepada responden (mitra) sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan untuk melihat presentasi peningkatan kemampuan petani. Hasil kegiatan ini adalah selain produk teknologi pada lokasi mitra, terjadi peningkatan level dan kapasitas petani hingga 85,93 % dengan harapan adanya keberlanjutan teknologi pertanian untuk membantu petani dalam usaha budidaya tanaman hortikultura.Abstract: The Community Empowerment Program by Students (PMM) in collaboration with Bethesda farmer group partners is carried out at partner locations in East Penfui Village, Central Kupang District, East Nusa Tenggara province to encourage increased cultivation of horticultural crop production. This activity aims to implement Drip Irrigation System (SIT) technology with green energy as a system energy source in the form of solar energy applications. Assistance to members of the Bethesda farmer group (15 people) and application of the use of this technology to overcome partners' problems, namely decreasing production levels and crop failure by farmers due to drought. The method of implementing activities is through focus group discussions (FGD) and direct practice in the field regarding this technology. Evaluation through questionnaires given to respondents (partners) before and after the activity to see the presentation of increasing farmers' abilities. The result of this activity is that apart from technology products at partner locations, there has been an increase in the level and capacity of farmers by up to 85.93% with the hope of sustainable agricultural technology to help farmers in cultivating horticultural crops.
