Abstract

In this paper, a science literacy and technology course has been designed and implemented to strengthen the national initiative empowering scientifically literate Indonesian society. This paper is intended to evaluate to what degree non-science undergraduate students can perform this course. The diverse background of non-science students who participated in this study led to the challenge to evaluate their performance more comprehensively contemplating the nested structure of students’ department and faculty setting. In light of the hierarchical nature of the student data, multilevel modelling was used to conduct the analysis. The first level of analysis involved students’ performance and affective attributes measured using demonstrated science literacy assessment (SLA-D) and motivational beliefs (SLA-MB) respectively. Then, the subsequent level of analysis comprised demographic factors gathered from the institutional record. Findings demonstrated that the impact of demographic factors on the students’ performance of science literacy was not substantial. Different settings of students’ department and faculty level drove the association between affective factors and the learning process toward science literacy courses substantially. The multilevel approach controlled the equitable student assessment within the nature of students’ data structure. This paper suggests an implication of advancement regarding educational data analysis and examines the effectiveness of science literacy courses for higher institutions specifically for non-science majors.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of the Physics Brain application as an android-based learning media to improve critical thinking and scientific literacy skill in the developed physics lesson. The Physics Brain application contains material, sample questions, and quizzes that are packaged as attractive as possible. The research method used was the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Research on the development of the ADDIE model was carried out only in Analysis, Design, Development, and Evaluation. This study uses a Likert scale analysis technique. The results of the research showed that the practitioner validator and respondent stated that the learning media design developed obtained an overall percentage value of 85% and was included in the very feasible category so that the Physics Brain application could be used in learning.

Abstract

Internet merupakan jaringan terluas dalam sistem teknologi informasi yang memungkinkanmasyarakat di seluruh dunia untuk saling terhubung. jaringan internet yang dapat diakses publikyang mentransmisikan data menggunakan standar internet protocol (IP). Alamat IP disebut jugakode pengenal komputer di jaringan/internet, setiap komputer yang terhubung ke jaringan pastimemiliki alamat IP di setiap antarmuka dan sama. Alamat IPv4 sebesar 32bit akan semakin terbatasdan semakin sulit didapatkan saat ini. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan pengembangan alamat IP baruyaitu Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) atau dikenal dengan Internet Protocol Nect Generation(IPNG) merupakan protokol lapisan ketiga baru yang dibuat untuk menggantikan IPv4. IPv6 adalahjaringan masa depan dan sangat penting untuk jaringan perusahaan dan global. ada caramengimplementasikan IPv6 sebelum benar-benar menggunakan jaringan IPv6 yaitu denganmengimplementasikan jaringan tunneling / dual stack (IPv6 dalam IPv4) semakin maju dan semakincepat perkembangan internet sekarang mulai menghabiskan alokasi ketersediaan IPv4 yang ada.Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini akan mencoba mengintegrasikan antara IPv6 dengan IPv4 untukmengurangi ketergantungan pada IPv4. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat membantu para penggunayang akan mengintegrasikan antara IPv6 dalam IPv4.

Abstract

Epic Skater 2 is a 3D skating game simulating skateboarding on various tracks by sliding and spinning to get maximum points. This study aims to analyze the concept of physics in kinematics material especially parabolic motion by analyzing the trajectory objects in the y direction in the Epic Skater game is it in accordance with the concept physics then concluded its effectiveness to be applied in skateboarding. The method used is an analysis using the tracker application. By using this software tracking data is represented in the graphical form y to t. Based on the research, the maximum height obtained in the epic skater game sequentially is 0,809 m ; 0,812 m ; 0,562 m ; 0,563 m, then averange height of 0,6865 m is obtained. The maximum height obtained on the skateboard game sequentially is 0,669 m ; 0,629 m ; 0,600 m ; 0,577 m, than an averange height of 0,61875 m is obtained.

Abstract

Intisari- Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menghasilkan produk LKPD bentuk Discussion Activity berbasis PEKA yang layak untuk proses pembelajaran fisika pada pokok bahasan gerak lurus, dan (2) mengetahui ketercapaian keterampilan proses dan penguasaan konsep peserta didik menggunakan LKPD bentuk Discussion Activity berbasis PEKA pada pokok bahasan gerak lurus.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (RD) dengan model 4-D menurut Thiagarajan dan Semmel (1974:5). Tahap define merupakan tahap awal untuk mendefinisikan permasalahan. Tahap design dilakukan dengan mengembangkan rancangan awal LKPD Discussion Activity dan instrumen penelitian. Tahap develope dilakukan untuk menghasilkan LKPD Discussion Activity yang layak serta untuk mengetahui tingkat keterampilan proses dan pemahaman konsep peserta didik. Kelayakan LKPD Discussion Activity dilihat dari skor validitas CVI hasil validasi oleh validator, skor reliabilitas ICC dan PA serta skor CVI hasil respon peserta didik. Tingkat keterampilan proses dilihat dari pekerjaan peserta didik pada LKPD Discussion Activity, sedangkan pemahaman konsep peserta didik dilihat dari skor posttest peserta didik. Tahap disseminate dilakukan untuk penyebaran LKPD Discussion Activity dalam skala yang luas.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) LKPD Discussion Activity layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran fisika dan memperoleh kategori sangat baik dilihat dari analisis validitas CVI LKPD Discussion Activity dengan nilai sebesar 1 (sangat baik) dan hasil respon peserta didik dengan nilai CVI 0,4 (sangat baik), serta reliabel menurut ICC LKPD dengan rata-rata nilai ICC 0,9 (istimewa) dan reliabel menurut PA dengan rata-rata nilai PA 96%; (2) tingkat keterampilan proses peserta didik memiliki rata-rata 3,7 (baik) dengan rincian rata-rata nilai keterampilan proses mengamati 4,0 (baik), mengklasifikasi 4,0 (baik), mengukur dan menggunakan angka 4,6 (sangat baik), menyimpulkan 3,8 (baik), menafsirkan data 2,7 (cukup), mendefinisikan secara operasional 4,1 (baik), mengendalikan variabel 2,2 (kurang), dan mengadakan eksperimen 3,8 (baik). Tingkat penguasaan konsep peserta didik memiliki rata-rata 3,6 (baik).Kata-Kata Kunci: LKPD, PEKA, Discussion Activity, Gerak LurusAbstract-This research is aimed to: (1) know the feasibility of student’s worksheet of Discussion Activity based on PEKA on subject matter of linear motion, (2) know the science process skill and the concept understanding of student used student’s worksheet of Discussion Activity based on PEKA.The method of this research is Research and Development with 4-D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate) by Thiagarajan and Semmel (1974:5). Define stage is an initial stage to define the problem. Design stage is done by developing the draft of student’s worksheet of Discussion Activity and research instrument. The develop stage is aimed to produce feasible student’s worksheet of Discussion Activity and to know the science process skill and the concept understanding of student. Feasibility of student’s worksheet Discussion Activity was taken from CVI validity score from validator, ICC and PA reliability score, and student response CVI score. Science process skill was taken from student’s work at student worksheet of Discussion Activity, and the concept understanding was taken from student’s posttest score. Disseminate stage is done by publishing the student worksheet of Discussion Activity and Thinking Activity in higher scale.The result of this research shows that: (1) student’s worksheet of Discussion Activity is feasible based on CVI score of validation 1 (very good) and CVI score of student respones 0,4 (very good), and reliable based on ICC score with the average score of ICC is 0,9 (special) and reliable based on Percentage of Agreement with the average score of PA was 96%, (2) the average score of student’s science process skill at Senior High School 3 of Purworejo was 3,7 (good) in detailsare the score of observing was 4,0 (good), classifying was 4,0 (good), measuring and using number was 4,6 (very good), concluding was 3,8 (good), data interpretating was 2,7 (enough), defining operationaly was 4,1 (very good), controlling variable was 2,2 (lack), and experimenting was 3,8 (good). The average score of student’s concept understanding at Senior High School 3 of Purworejo was 3,6 (good).Keywords: Student worksheet, PEKA, Discussion Activity, Linear Motion

Abstract

Pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran di era new normal masih banyak siswa yang motivasi belajarnya rendah, khususnya pada pelajaran fisika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji kelayakan media pembelajaran berbasis podcast sebagai suatu inovasi pembelajaran dalam upaya meningkatkan motivasi belajar pada mata pelajaran fisika, khususnya materi difraksi cahaya. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Research and Development (RnD) dengan model pendekatan ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode succesive interval. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai kelayakan pada setiap aspek kelayakan podcast Fisika Asix berada diatas 1,75. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa podcast Fisika Asix layak digunakan sebagai penunjang pembelajaran fisika di era new normal.

Abstract

Physics has undergone development over time, one of which is through modern physics that studies the behavior of matter and energy at the atomic and subatomic particle scale using the concept of analytical mechanics to explain phenomena on a microscopic scale. The purpose of this article is to investigate the influence of analytical mechanics on the advancement of modern physics using a qualitative literature review approach. The literature review involved gathering information related to the study of mechanics and modern physics. The analysis results indicate that analytical mechanics such as Lagrangian and Hamiltonian have influenced the progress of modern physics significantly. This analytical mechanics has made a substantial contribution to modern physics by providing strong theoretical concepts, aiding theoretical research, enabling the analysis of complex physical phenomena, and offering practical applications across various scientific fields. The conclusion drawn from this analysis is the significant theoretical impact of analytical mechanics on the development of modern physics.

Abstract

The ability of physics students related to the use of multimeters in practicum is still invaluable. This results in the data of practicum conducted by students. This study aims to determine the ability of physics students in the use of multimeters. The research method used is a quantitative method using an observation questionnaire when the practicum is carried out for one semester. The research was conducted on students of the physics study program in 2nd semester. In the use of multimeters as ohm meters, there are 46.66% of groups that have done the first step, 40% of the groups have done the second step, and 73.33% of the groups have done the third step. Then, in the use of multimeters as ammeters, 40% of the group has done the first step, 53.33% of the group has done the second step, and 73.33% of the group has done the third step. Meanwhile, in the use of multimeters as voltmeters, 40% of the group has done the first step, 46.66% of the group has done the second step, and 66.66% of the group has done the third step. The results of this study show that most students still go through several steps that need to be taken in the use of analog multimeters, starting from their use as ohmmeters, ammeters, to voltmeters.

Abstract

This study aims to test the feasibility level of learning media in the form of STEM-based electronic modules on refraction material in lenses to improve the conceptual understanding of SMA / MA students. The research method used is R & D using the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). However, this research only reached the development stage by testing the feasibility of e-modules. STEM-based e-modules on lens refraction material are presented as online flipbooks so that their use can be accessed via smartphones (android or iOS). Data collection in this study was carried out by distributing feasibility test questionnaires to 3 validators consisting of 2 Physics Education expert lecturers who have taught for 1 and 2 years, 1 physics teacher who has taught for 25 years, and 53 prospective physics teachers. Based on the feasibility test results by the validator, the STEM-based e-module to improve students' conceptual understanding of lens refraction material is in the category suitable for use in learning. The implication is that because the e-module has been declared feasible in the development process, the e-module can be implemented in physics learning to increase students' conceptual understanding of the concept of refraction.
