Abstract

Teh Tarik is a tea known as one of the typical Indian drinks. The purpose of this study, to determine the GLB and GLBB resulting from the manufacture of tensile tea, to determine the magnitude of the kinematic and gravitational forces when tea is poured from one glass to another with a fairly high distance. And also to motivate the MSME industry to produce better quality. With the result for GLB: 0.1541; 0.1111022224; 0.1087844444; 0.3073113139; 0.1111022224. And the results obtained for GLBB in a row for tables one to five 4.9142; 5.7649; 5.3892; 6.6331; 3.9648.

Abstract

This study aims to test the quality of cooking oil using the parameter of refractive index by utilizing a simple refractometer constructed from mica plastic sheets. The principle of testing cooking oil is based on Snell's law. The cooking oil samples used were four brands of cooking oil with new conditions which were labeled A, B, C, and D. of poor quality, cooking oil B with a refractive index of 1.547 refers to source 1 having good quality and when referring to source 2 it has poor quality, and cooking oil C with a refractive index of 1.494 refers to both sources having good quality. Therefore, it can be concluded that cooking oil C has the best quality than the other three cooking oil samples.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of feasibility and effectiveness of the e-module PjBL model that integrates Local Wisdom. The type of research conducted is development research with the 4D model, which includes Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate.. The samples used were 36 students for limited testing and 3 MIPA XI classes consisting of 108 students for field testing which were divided into experimental classes, control class 1, and control class 2. The instruments used included e-modules, lesson plans, pretest-posttest questions, learning independence questionnaires and student response questionnaires. The data obtained were analyzed using inferential statistical analysis and descriptive analysis. Based on the analysis of validation of experts, practitioners and student response questionnaires, the results showed that the developed e-modules were feasible to use in improving concept understanding and learning independence. Based on the field test, the developed e-module is effective to be used in improving students' concept understanding and learning independence.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan tingkat pemahaman konsep dasar Mekanika Analitik antara mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika dan Fisika semester 2 di Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, serta mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor penyebab kesulitan belajar. Mekanika Analitik merupakan cabang penting dalam fisika teoretis yang melibatkan formulasi matematis kompleks seperti persamaan Lagrange dan Hamilton. Penguasaan konsep dasar pada mata kuliah ini sangat krusial bagi mahasiswa fisika, namun banyak mahasiswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahaminya. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif komparatif dengan data utama berupa nilai Ujian Tengah Semester dan wawancara terstruktur. Data dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji Independent Sample T-Test, dan jika tidak memenuhi asumsi normalitas, dilanjutkan dengan uji non-parametrik Mann-Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa memperoleh nilai nol, mencerminkan rendahnya tingkat pemahaman. Uji statistik menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelompok mahasiswa (p = 0,562). Wawancara mengungkapkan bahwa kesulitan utama berasal dari lemahnya penguasaan matematika dasar, keterbatasan pemahaman konsep fisika, serta minimnya strategi belajar mandiri. Mahasiswa dengan nilai tinggi umumnya belajar mandiri dan aktif mencari sumber belajar tambahan. Temuan ini menunjukkan perlunya penguatan konsep, pendekatan pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif, serta dukungan belajar tambahan bagi mahasiswa. Penelitian ini juga menekankan pentingnya pengembangan modul pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan terintegrasi dengan teknologi, serta merekomendasikan penelitian lebih lanjut tentang efektivitas metode pembelajaran berbasis masalah dalam meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa

Abstract

This study aims to develop AI-based learning media integrated with Yogyakarta's local wisdom, particularly gudeg, in physics education. The research aims to facilitate 21st-century skills and students’ physics identity in the 5.0 era through socially and culturally relevant media. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4D model, including define, design, and development stages. Observations and interviews were conducted at two high schools in Yogyakarta to identify learning needs. We developed three AI-based learning products: an e-book, an e-module, and an e-worksheet. Expert feasibility assessment showed very feasible results, with the e-book achieving the highest score (2.15), followed by the e-worksheet (2.05) and e-module (2.00). The use of these media increased students' interest, understanding, and skills in critical thinking, creativity, and physics identity. Integrating technology and local wisdom in physics learning media also positively contributes to education quality and supports Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy, SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals).

Abstract

This study aims to examine the phenomenon of collision between two vehicles by observing the changes in momentum, kinetic energy, and vehicle deformation as a response to the collision, as well as evaluating the accuracy of the simulation using BeamNG.drive software by comparing it to the applicable physical theories in collisions. The research method used is experimental by conducting collision simulations using BeamNG.drive software. The initial velocity variations of the colliding vehicle (car A) are set at 50, 75, and 100 km/h, while the struck vehicle (car B) is in a stationary condition. The analysis is carried out by calculating the conservation of momentum, kinetic energy, and the coefficient of restitution of the collision. The results show that the initial and final momentum values of the system are almost the same, in accordance with the principle of conservation of momentum. However, there is a significant decrease in kinetic energy values, indicating an inelastic collision where kinetic energy is transformed into deformation energy. The very low coefficient of restitution values (approaching 0) also confirm the nature of the inelastic collision. The simulation results using BeamNG.drive are consistent with the relevant physical theories on collisions, demonstrating the accuracy of the software in modeling vehicle collision phenomena. Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada identifikasi hambatan yang dihadapi mahasiswa dalam memahami prinsip kerja Lagrangian dengan pendekatan berbasis kognitif, serta membandingkan tingkat pemahaman antara mahasiswa dari program studi Fisika Murni dan Pendidikan Fisika. Lokasi penelitian adalah Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, dengan partisipan merupakan mahasiswa semester tiga yang telah mengikuti perkuliahan Mekanika Analitik. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui nilai Ujian Tengah Semester (UTS) yang kemudian diubah ke dalam bentuk numerik guna keperluan analisis. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan bantuan software JASP. Langkah analisis diawali dengan melakukan statistik deskriptif untuk memperoleh gambaran umum data, dilanjutkan dengan uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk. Karena distribusi data tidak normal, maka dilanjutkan menggunakan uji non-parametrik Mann-Whitney U. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa meskipun nilai rata-rata mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika (16.324) lebih tinggi daripada Fisika Murni (10.214), perbedaan ini tidak terbukti signifikan secara statistik (p = 0.195). Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa kedua kelompok mahasiswa mengalami tingkat kesulitan yang sebanding dalam memahami konsep Lagrangian yang bersifat abstrak dan penuh muatan matematis. Oleh karena itu, hasil penelitian ini menegaskan perlunya pengembangan pendekatan pembelajaran yang lebih relevan secara konteks dan adaptif terhadap kebutuhan mahasiswa, khususnya dalam menyampaikan materi-materi fisika tingkat lanjut. Diharapkan hasil kajian ini dapat dijadikan sebagai acuan dalam merumuskan strategi pengajaran mekanika analitik yang lebih efektif dan aplikatif di lingkungan pendidikan tinggi.Kata kunci: Lagrangian, mekanika, kognitif, pemahaman, mahasiswa, pendidikan.

Abstract

Abstrak Keberadaan asisten praktikum yang terampil dan kompeten dapat mendukung keberhasilan proses pembelajaran praktikum dan membantu mahasiswa agar kesulitan yang dihadapi dapat teratasi, sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas asistensi diantara kedua kelas yang dijabarkan secara deskriptif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif-deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah tingkat kesulitan mahasiswa kelas A masuk dalam kategori mudah dengan persentase 39,0% memilih kategori mudah. Sedangkan, mahasiswa kelas C mengalami tingkat kesulitan saat melakukan praktikum hingga sebesar 44,1% dengan kategori sulit. Penggunaan asisten praktikum terbukti sangat membantu mahasiswa dalam pelaksanaannya. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat melalui diagram faktor keberhasilan praktikum yang menunjukkan bahwa peran asisten sama dengan peran dosen sebesar 19,8%. berdasarkan hal tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kontribusi asisten praktikum terbukti efektif dalam pembelajaran elektronika analog di kelas. Kata Kunci: elektronika analog, asisten praktikum, efektivitas Abstract The existence of skilled and competent practicum assistants can support the success of the practicum learning process and help students so that the difficulties faced can be resolved, so this study aims to determine the effectiveness of assistance between the two classes described descriptively. The method used in this research is qualitative-descriptive. The results of this study are the difficulty level of class A students in the easy category with a percentage of 39.0% choosing the easy category. Meanwhile, class C students experienced a level of difficulty when doing practicum up to 44.1% in the difficult category. The use of practicum assistants proved to be very helpful for students in its implementation. This can be seen through the practicum success factor diagram which shows that the role of the assistant is the same as the role of the lecturer by 19.8%. Based on this, it can be concluded that the contribution of practicum assistants has proven effective in learning analog electronics in the classroom. Abstract

Abstract: The optical instrument module based on educational crossword puzzles is a learning medium to increase students' understanding and interest in optical instrument material. The purpose of this study was to test the feasibility of a crossword-based physics module as a medium of learning for junior high school students. The crossword-based module was developed with a 4D model that was adapted to the ability of the researcher. The procedure applied is only up to the development stage, the trial is limited to 35 students of Physics Education, Yogyakarta State University. The feasibility assessment of this module contains 10 questions with 2 assessment aspects, content aspects and presentation aspects. The results of filling out the questionnaire were analyzed using the successive interval method. Based on the module feasibility analysis, the overall aspect average is 3.25 with a very good category so that this crossword-based educational game module is feasible to use. Keywords: educational game; crosswords; modules; optical instruments.  Abstrak: Modul alat optik berbasis permainan edukatif teka-teki silang merupakan media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan minat belajar siswa pada materi alat optik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menguji tingkat kelayakan modul Fisika berbasis permainan edukatif teka-teki silang sebagai media pembelajaran siswa SMP pada materi alat optik. Modul berbasis permainan edukatif teka-teki silang dikembangkan dengan model 4D yang disesuaikan dengan kemampuan peneliti. Prosedur yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini hanya sampai tahap pengembangan (Development) uji coba terbatas pada 35 mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Angket kelayakan modul ini memiliki 10 pertanyaan dengan 2 aspek penilaian. Penilaian kelayakan pada modul dilakukan pada lembar validasi yang memuat aspek isi dan aspek penyajian. Hasil pengisian angket dianalisis menggunakan metode suksesif interval. Berdasarkan analisis kelayakan modul hasil penilaian responden, didapatkan rata-rata aspek keseluruhan 3,25 dengan kategori sangat baik sehingga modul berbasis permainan edukatif teka-teki silang layak digunakan sebagai salah satu media pembelajaran Fisika.Kata Kunci : alat optik; modul; permainan edukatif; teka-teki silang.

Abstract

Physics is a science that studies natural phenomena, but students' interest in this subject is often low because it is considered abstract and difficult. The traditional approach to physics learning, which often focuses on theory, is less appealing to many students. One effective way to increase students' understanding and interest is through experimentation and the use of adequate teaching aids. In this context, the traditional game of Lato-Lato shows great potential as an innovative learning medium. This research aims to find out the concept of physics through the lato-lato game. This article reviews Lato-Lato's role in teaching physics concepts, especially in collision and momentum matter. This study uses a literature review method to evaluate the existing literature related to the use of Lato-Lato in physics education. The review process involves identifying, selecting, and critically evaluating literature from various academic databases. The results of the study indicate that Lato-Lato can be an effective learning tool by integrating physics theory with real practice in an interactive and fun way. This game not only helps students understand difficult physics concepts through hands-on experience, but also increases their motivation and interest in learning physics. The integration of Lato-Lato in physics learning can enrich teaching methods by providing a more contextual and practical approach.
