Abstract

Challenges faced by the Islamic education system in Indonesia in the context of cultural, social and economic diversity. Islamic education in Indonesia has strong roots in tradition, but is faced with issues such as inequitable access to education, quality of teaching and integration of local values in the curriculum. In addition, global changes and technological developments affect the way of learning and the needs of society. This research analyzes how Islamic educational institutions can adapt to these dynamics, as well as the importance of collaboration between the government, society and educational institutions to create an inclusive and relevant system. Through a multidisciplinary approach, this article is expected to provide insights for stakeholders in formulating policies that support the diversity and quality of Islamic education in Indonesia.

Abstract

Teacher personnel administration is an important aspect in the effective management of educational staff in the school environment. This article aims to explore what teacher personnel administration is, the challenges in the current era and its solutions through a literature study approach. Personnel administration covers various aspects, such as recruitment, selection, development, performance assessment, promotion, and teacher welfare. Based on the literature review, the role of good teacher personnel administration is crucial to improving the quality of education. Proper management of teacher personnel can improve their motivation, performance, and welfare, thus having a positive impact on the teaching and learning process. This study also highlights the challenges in teacher personnel administration at various levels of education, especially related to government policies and school management. In conclusion, the implementation of effective teacher personnel administration plays an important role in creating a quality and sustainable education system.

Abstract

Keberadaan aktivitas PKL masih dipandang menjadi masalah ruang di perkotaan, karena memicu konflik pemanfaatan ruang dan menurunkan visual fisik kawasan sehingga dianggap sebagai elemen "out of place". Padahal PKL mampu mengurangi pengangguran dan kemiskinan, memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat sehari-hari dan merupakan aktivitas riil perkotaan yang perlu diwadahi. Oleh karena itu penataan ruang aktivitas PKL diperlukan dan perlu sesuai dengan karakteristik aktivitasnya. Isu tumbuh dan berkembangnya PKL di ruang kota Kajen karena akibat dari adanya pemekaran wilayah kabupaten. Kawasan Perkotaan Kajen menjadi pusat aktivitas baru Kabupaten Pekalongan dan memunculkan keberadaan PKL yang terus berkembang di kawasan tersebut. Kondisi ini perlu diantisipasi agar meminimalisir timbulnya konflik penggunaan ruang di perkotaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menemukenali spesifikasi ruang PKL di kawasan kota Kajen. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif (crosstab dan deskriptif kuantitatif). Hasil dari penelitian menunjukan bahwa spesifikasi ruang aktivitas PKL di sekitar Alun-alun Kajen adalah sekitar kawasan terdapat aktivitas beragam yaitu aktivitas perkantoran, ibadah, rekreasi/hiburan/olahraga; terdapat ruang yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai tempat berdagang di tepi alun-alun, di trotoar, di tepi jalan, di taman; ruang di sekitar alun-alun dapat dimanfaatkan sesuai waktu aktivitas masyarakat dan terdapat banyak pengunjung; ruang dapat digunakan secara menetap dan memiliki luas yang cukup untuk aktivitas berdagang makan/minuman, persewaan mainan anak-anak dan memiliki luas yang cukup dengan sarana gerobak tenda/lesehan/gerobak/meja/motor/mobil/berbagai jenis sarana permainan; PKL dapat berdagang dengan pembatas ruang yang transparan/tanpa batas antar PKL sehingga antar PKL dapat mudah bekerjasama; ruang PKL di sekitar alun-alun mudah dilihat dan mudah dicapai oleh pengunjung; teduh dan terang; ruang yang aman untuk berdagang karena ruang yang diijinkan oleh pemerintah; tersedia ruang parkir pengunjung.

Abstract

The Indonesian is multicultural country. It’s diversity includes differences in culture, religion, race, language, ethnicity, tradition and others. In a such multicultural society, there are frequent tensions and conflicts among cultural groups and have impacts on harmony in life. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the diversity of Indonesian culture, its religious moderation in the diversity and role of religious educators in realizing Indonesian national peace. The method used is a library research. The conclusion of this study is that multicultural life requires multicultural understanding and awareness that respects diversity, and willingness to interact with anyone fairly. A religious attitude of moderation is needed in the form of recognition of the existence of other parties, being tolerant, respecting differences of opinion and not forcing the will through violence. The role of the government, community leaders, and religious guidance is needed to socialize, develop religious moderation to the community for the sake of the realization of harmony and peace.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of educational evaluation at MI Gagaksipat 2 by focusing on the methods, techniques, and challenges encountered. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that formative evaluation is conducted periodically through quizzes, discussions, and assignments to provide immediate feedback, while summative evaluation is carried out at the end of the semester to measure students' overall achievements. Academically, the evaluation effectively improves student performance, as evidenced by annual increases in academic scores. From a character development perspective, the evaluation shapes students with strong religious values, discipline, and good social skills. Challenges include teachers' limited understanding of complex evaluation techniques and inadequate technological resources. The study recommends providing evaluation training for teachers and adequate facilities to enhance the quality of Islamic values-based learning.

Abstract

The development of urban areas occurs due to the demands for space for activities from the community. Increased activity in the city center has an impact on increasing the need for housing. Kampong Batan is one of the settlements located in the downtown triangle area of Pandanaran road, Pemuda road and Gajah Mada road (PANDAMA). Kampong Batan is also one of the old kampongs that experienced the growth of residential areas due to the development of activities. The implication of the development of activities in the city center to Kampong Batan is experiencing changes that are seen physically and non-physically. In this study, we will examine the characteristics of the Batan settlement in Semarang City in order to find out the changes that occur due to the development of activities in the city center. The research method used is field observation by looking at the development of Kampong Batan from the colonial era to the present based on the map of the previous year of Semarang City. Then it is identified the changes that occur based on the road network, changes in the use of residential space and the characteristics of the settlements. The result is that the settlement of Old Kampong Batan began to be filled with settlements from 1925 to 2000. The changes that are happening today can be seen from the expansion of residential activity space into a terrace, for parking and as a place to sell. In addition, many changes in the area that were previously only areas with residential functions have now turned into trade and service functions.

Abstract

Village tourism is a growing phenomenon worldwide, including in Indonesia. Gempolan Village has great potential to be developed as a tourist village with various attractions such as the selfie bridge, observation tower, Gondang Reservoir, and durian products. However, the lack of connectivity between these attractions hinders the optimization of this potential. The preparation of a master plan with the concept of integrated rural tourism is a solution to increase the attractiveness and sustainability of tourism in Gempolan Village. The method used in the preparation of this master plan includes three main stages: (1) socialization to identify the village’s potentials and problems, (2) guidance and practice through Focus Group Discussions (FGD) to refine the design concept, and (3) finalization of the master plan design. The result of this service activity is not only a master plan document, but also an increase in the community’s capacity to understand and independently manage the tourism potential of their village. By actively involving the community in every stage of the activity, this community service initiative succeeded in increasing the community’s awareness and participation in the development of a sustainable tourism ecosystem. This master plan is expected to become a strategic guideline for Gempolan Village in developing a tourism sector based on local potential in a sustainable manner, as well as promoting the economic growth of the village community. Desa wisata merupakan fenomena global yang terus berkembang, termasuk di Indonesia. Desa Gempolan memiliki potensi besar untuk dikembangkan sebagai desa wisata dengan berbagai atraksi, seperti Jembatan Selfie, Menara Pandang, Waduk Gondang, serta komoditas durian. Namun, kurangnya konektivitas antar objek wisata menghambat optimalisasi potensi tersebut. Penyusunan masterplan dengan konsep Integrated Rural Tourism menjadi solusi untuk meningkatkan daya tarik dan keberlanjutan pariwisata di Desa Gempolan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penyusunan masterplan ini meliputi tiga tahap utama: (1) Sosialisasi untuk mengidentifikasi potensi dan permasalahan desa, (2) Bimbingan dan praktik melalui Focus Group Discussion (FGD) untuk menyempurnakan konsep desain, serta (3) Finalisasi desain masterplan. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini tidak hanya berupa dokumen masterplan, tetapi juga peningkatan kapasitas masyarakat dalam memahami dan mengelola potensi wisata desanya secara mandiri. Melalui pelibatan aktif masyarakat dalam setiap tahap kegiatan, kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran dan partisipasi komunitas dalam mengembangkan ekosistem wisata yang berkelanjutan. Masterplan ini diharapkan menjadi pedoman strategis bagi Desa Gempolan dalam mengembangkan sektor pariwisata berbasis potensi lokal secara berkelanjutan, serta mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi masyarakat desa.
