Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya hasil belajar siswa dan penerapan pembelajaran yang belum maksimal. Bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi pembelajaran Giving Question and Getting Answer terhadap pengingkatan kemampuan pemahaman siswa kelas VIII MTs Negeri 2 Surakarta. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimen tipe nonequivalent pretest post-test control group design. Ssubjek penelitian menggunakan dua kelas, yaitu kelas VIII A1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII A2 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan pengambilan sampel dipilih teknik sampling jenuh. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar tes, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data dikumpulkan melalui hasil pretest dan post-test yang dianalisis secara deskriptif dan infersial. Uji hipotesis yang digunakan adalah uji non-parametrik Mann Whitney U. Hasil penelitian didapatkan nilai rata-rata hasil pretest pada kelas eksperimen yaitu 53,3 dan pada kelas kontrol yaitu 47,9, sementara rata-rata hasil post-test kelas eksperimen yaitu 81,1 dan pada kelas kontrol yaitu 57,5. Hasil uji analisis Man Whitney U. hasil belajar siswa didapatkan nilai Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,00 lebih kecil 0,05. Dari hasil uji tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan stategi pembelajaran Giving Question and Getting Answer pada sub materi sistem pernapasan berpengaruh baik terhadap hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

The community service activity partner is KWT Berkah Tani 2 Ngasem Village, Central Java. KWT Berkah Tani 2 and the surrounding community already have a place to cultivate plants and, in this area, they produce a lot of organic waste per day, not all of the organic waste produced is utilized. Therefore, the aim of this service is to provide education about hydrotone compost to KWT Berkah Tani 2. We introduced an innovation, especially in utilizing organic waste into compost as a mixture of hydrotone. The solution offered is developing environmentally based education at KWT Berkah Tani 2 by holding educational activities on making compost hydrotone for the Ngasem village community. Service activities are carried out in four phases using socialization, practice and application methods. The four phases are socialization and preparation, preparation of tools and materials, implementation of activities (making hydrotone compost and application to plants) as well as coaching and supervision. Hydrotone is not only an innovative solution in waste management, but has also been proven to increase environmentally friendly agricultural efficiency.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the relationship between student learning motivation and student perceptions of teacher learning with student learning outcomes. The research method used is a survey method with correlational analysis. The population used was students in class VIII of the Special Science Class Program at MTs Negeri 2 Surakarta. The sampling technique is a sample population with a sample of 83 students, data collection techniques are carried out using questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The results of this study show that there is no significant relationship between student learning motivation and learning outcomes and a correlation of 0.000 (0%). There is also no significant relationship between student perceptions of teacher learning and student learning outcomes and the correlation is -0.124 (1.5%). And there is no significant relationship between learning motivation and student perceptions of teacher learning on learning outcomes and the correlation is 0.136. The contribution of learning motivation and student perceptions of teacher learning to student learning outcomes was 1.84% and 98.16% influenced by other factors not researched. The results of this research indicate that student learning motivation and student perceptions of teacher learning do not improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Problem-based learning (PBL) is an instructional model that utilizes problems as a starting point for acquiring and integrating new knowledge. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on improving students' learning outcomes on the topic of light properties in eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Karanganyar during the 2022/2023 academic year. This research employed a quasi-experimental approach using a Randomized Control-Group Posttest-Only Design. Data collection methods included the administration of questionnaires, pretests and posttests, and oral interviews. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the Problem-Based Learning model significantly influences students' learning outcomes on the topic of light properties. This is indicated by the t-test results, where tcount = 2.064 and ttable = 2.006 with df = 52. Since tcount > ttable (2.064 > 2.006), the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. These findings demonstrate that the Problem-Based Learning model has a significant positive effect on students' learning outcomes in the topic of light properties among eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Karanganyar during the 2022/2023 academic year.

Abstract

SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Program Unggulan Colomadu (SMP MUTU) mencanangkan program unggulan berupa pembelajaran berbasis teknologi informasi. Namun, keterampilan guru dalam hal mengembangkan multimedia pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Information Communication and Technology (ICT) masih perlu ditingkatkan. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam mengembangkan multimedia pembelajaran interaktif. Multimedia interaktif dikembangkan menggunakan aplikasi Articulate Storyline versi 3.12. Kegiatan ini meliputi empat tahapan umum, yaitu (1) sosialisasi dan persiapan, (2) penyiapan modul pelatihan, (3) pelaksanaan, dan (4) evaluasi dan monitoring. Empat tahap tersebut dilaksanakan secara tatap muka dan virtual dan diikuti oleh 12 guru SMP MUTU. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa nilai penguasaan materi pelatihan oleh guru berkisar antar 67,85 sampai dengan 100. Sedangkan kategori nilai individu guru tentang penguasaan materi pelatihan adalah baik dengan jumlah 3 orang dan sangat baik dengan jumlah 9 orang. Pada akhir kegiatan, lebih dari 83% guru merespon kegiatan ini dengan sangat baik dalam hal peningkatan kualitas multimedia pembelajaran interaktif. Pelatihan meningkatkan kemampuan guru di SMP MUTU dalam mengembangkan multimedia pembelajaran interaktif berbasis ICT. Training on Development of Interactive Learning Multimedia at SMP MUTU Using Articulate Storyline   Teachers' skills at SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Colomadu (SMP MUTU) in developing technology-based interactive learning multimedia need to be improved. This program aims to provide a training to the teachers of SMP MUTU in developing interactive learning multimedia. Interactive multimedia was developed using the Articulate Storyline application version 3.12. This program includes four general stages, namely (1) socialization of activities, (2) preparation of training modules, (3) implementation, and (4) evaluation. The four stages were carried out by face-to-face and virtual methods. The results of the evaluation showed that the value of mastery of training materials by teachers ranged from 67.85 to 100 scores. In addition, three teachers belong to the category of good and nine teachers belong to the category of excellent in terms of mastery of training materials. Also, more than 83% of teachers responded very well to this program in terms of improving the quality of interactive learning multimedia. In summary, this program can provide significant understanding and experience to teachers at SMP MUTU in developing interactive learning multimedia

Abstract

Mitra kegiatan pengabdian yang diajukan adalah Panti Asuhan Keluarga Aisyiyah, Bekonang, Sukoharjo, Jawa Tengah. Panti asuhan ini menampung 26 orang anak dengan rentang pendidikan sekolah menengah dan atas. Berdasarkan hasil survey, panti ini menggunakan air mineral dengan kemasan 15-liter dimana botol bekas tersebut belum dimanfaatkan dengan baik. Oleh karena itu tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah sosialisasi pemanfaatan botol air mineral bekas sebagai wadah media tanam di Panti Asuhan Keluarga Aisyiyah Bekonang, Sukoharjo, Jawa Tengah. Belum dimanfaatkannya botol bekas air kemasan mineral, terutama dengan ukuran 15-liter dan adanya potensi edukasi pengetahuan lingkungan terkait konsep recycle pada anak panti asuhan sehingga berpotensi dijadikan sasaran mitra menuju panti asuhan berbasis lingkungan atau dikenal dengan istilah green orphanage. Melakukan sosialisasi pemanfaatan botol air mineral bekas sebagai wadah media tanam diperuntukkan bagi anak panti di bawah pembinaan pengurus panti Aisyiyah. Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan dengan metode sosialisasi dan praktek langsung. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian yaitu sosialisasi sampah inorganik dan sosialisasi pemanfaatan botol bekas sebagai wadah tanam dilakukan pada tanggal 5 November 2023. Kegiatan ini dihadiri oleh 29 anak panti dan satu orang pembina panti sebagai perwakilan pihak panti. Peserta diminta membuat 6 kelompok dengan masing-masing anggota 4-5 orang. Setiap kelompok diberikan kesempatan untuk simulasi pembuatan media tanam. Setiap kelompok mendapatkan 15 galon bekas, sehingga total media tanam yang siap untuk digunakan dari hasil kegiatan ini berjumlah sebanyak 90 buah. Kegiatan ini menghasilkan wadah media tanam yang siap digunakan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the SPIRIT model of problem-based biology learning (SSIPBL) on the respiratory system material at Muhammadiyah 1 Sragen High School in the 2024/2025 academic year and to determine whether this model can improve students' learning outcomes. The research type used is quantitative with an experimental design. Data collection was carried out through learning outcome tests, observations, and interviews. Based on the t-test results, a significance value (sig.) of 0.198 was obtained, which is greater than the 0.05 value, indicating that there is no significant difference between the experimental group using the SSIPBL model and the control group using conventional learning methods. Factors affecting the ineffectiveness of this model's implementation include teacher readiness, limited time, lack of student involvement, and inadequate infrastructure. The results of this study show that the implementation of the SPIRIT SSIPBL model on the respiratory system material does not significantly improve students' learning outcomes. Therefore, it is recommended to improve supporting aspects, such as teacher training, better time management, and increasing student motivation and involvement in problem-based learning. Indicates that the implementation of the SPIRIT model of Socio-Scientific Problem-Based Learning (SSIPBL) can significantly improve students' learning outcomes on the respiratory system material senior High School for the. These results suggest that SSIPBL has the potential to enhance students' understanding through a problem-based approach that connects scientific phenomena with social issues, and its implementation in the field met expectations.

Abstract

Learning that is still dominated by teacher-centered approaches tends to result in passive student participation and low learning outcomes. This study aims to compare the effectiveness of the Socio-Scientific Problem-Based Learning (SSPBL) model and the Stimulus Environment Problem Solving (SEPS) model in improving student learning outcomes in the Ecology course. The research employed a quasi-experimental design involving two groups of fourth-semester Biology Education students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta in the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. Each group consisted of 20 students; one was taught using the SSPBL model, and the other using the SEPS model. Data were analyzed using the independent sample t-test and effect size analysis.The results showed that the SSPBL group achieved significantly higher cognitive learning outcomes than the SEPS group in both Cycle I (sig. = 0.041) and Cycle II (sig. = 0.049). The effect size results further confirmed the high effectiveness of the SSPBL model, with values of 2.846 (Cycle I) and 3.413 (Cycle II), categorized as "high." These findings indicate that the SSPBL model is more effective in improving learning outcomes, particularly in developing higher-order thinking skills through the integration of scientific concepts and socio-scientific issues. This study recommends the implementation of the SSPBL model in science education to foster deeper conceptual understanding and critical thinking among students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of SSPBLS (Socio-Scientific Problem based Learning with Spiritual Value) on digestive system materials at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Sragen for the academic year 2024/2025 and to find out whether this model can improve student learning outcomes. The type of research used is quantitative with experimental design. Data collection was carried out through learning outcome tests, observations, and interviews. Based on the results of the t-test, a significance value (sig.) of 0.22 was obtained, which was more than 0.05, which showed that there was no significant difference between the experimental group using the SSPBLS model and the control group using conventional learning methods. The results of this study show that the application of the SSPBLS model to the digestive system material in terms of final average scores can improve student learning outcomes. These results show that SSPBLS has the potential to improve student understanding through a problem-based approach that connects scientific phenomena with social issues, and its application in the field has met expectations. This research contributes to enriching contextual learning approaches through the application of the SSPBLS model which is proven to improve student learning outcomes by integrating social issues, critical thinking skills, and character values and provides alternative effective learning strategies to improve learning outcomes, with an emphasis on students' active involvement in solving problems based on social issues.

Abstract

Low frequency and minimal practicum facilities have become the main problems in the implementation of science learning at SMP Negeri 1 Sambi, Boyolali. According to the Minister of National Education Regulation Number 24 of 2007, the learning process requires facilities and infrastructure that support optimal implementation. The benefits of science practicum include increasing students’ motivation to learn science and providing opportunities for them to satisfy their curiosity through scientific approaches. The purpose of this research is to examine the implementation of science practicum and to evaluate the quality of the facilities and infrastructure of the science laboratory at SMP Negeri 1 Sambi, Boyolali. This study used a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through observation, documentation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results show that the quality of facilities and infrastructure for science practical activities at SMP Negeri 1 Sambi, Boyolali is classified as good, as stated in the Minister of National Education Regulation Number 24 of 2007, with an average percentage of 71.62%. The implementation of science practicum is categorized as very good, with an average percentage of 97.8%. The results of the questionnaire also show that 93.4% of the science practicums fall into the very good category, meaning that the implementation of science practicum for Grade VIII in the odd semester runs well.
