Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SDN Ngetrep in Pancasila Education subject of Norms in My Life through the application of Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model assisted by panorama media (norm board). The background of this research is based on the low student learning outcomes, understanding of norms, and limitations of learning media used by teachers. The method used was Classroom Action Research with cycles, involving 10 students as subjects. Data collection instruments included observation, tests, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the application of the PBL model assisted by the norm board media was able to significantly improve student learning outcomes. At the pre-cycle stage, only 20% of students were complete, with an average score of 59. After the implementation of actions in cycle I, the level of completeness increased to 90% with an average score of 91. This result shows that the use of PBL model and norm board media is effective in improving students' learning outcomes in learning Pancasila Education.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN 01 Kanigoro through the implementation of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model assisted by Wordwall media. The background of the study is the low student performance in the topic of plane figures, which is attributed to the dominance of lecture-based teaching methods and the lack of engaging learning media. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of two meetings. The subjects of the study were 10 fifth-grade students. Data were collected using tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. The results showed an improvement in student learning outcomes: from a pre-cycle average score of 57.1 with 0% mastery, to 67.9 with 30% mastery in the first cycle, and significantly increased to an average score of 81.6 with 90% mastery in the second cycle. The implementation of the TGT model assisted by Wordwall proved effective in creating an interactive, enjoyable, and competitive learning atmosphere, which successfully enhanced students’ motivation and academic achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the cognitive learning outcomes of fifth-grade students of MI Islamiyah 01 Madiun City on the topic of area of ​​flat shapes through the application of the Realistic Mathematics Approach (RMAT) assisted by concrete media. The method used is the Kurt Lewin Classroom Action Research (CAR) model which includes the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects consisted of 12 students. Data were collected through observation, tests, documentation, and interviews. The results in the pre-cycle stage showed that most students had not reached the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM), with a percentage of completion of only 8.33%. After the actions were carried out in the first cycle, the completion rate increased to 50%, although it did not meet the target. Through learning improvements in the second cycle, all students successfully achieved the KKM (100%) with an average score of 89.17. The application of RMAT and concrete media has been proven to improve students' understanding of the concept of area of ​​flat shapes, making learning more contextual and enjoyable. Thus, this approach is effective in improving students' mathematics learning outcomes and is recommended for use in learning concrete materials.

Abstract

Learning outcomes are a benchmark in assessing students’ academic achievement, as well as being an important foundation for designing more effective and aligned learning between the material to be studied using the assessment method. The learning outcomes of grade V students of SDN 3 Kanigoro on the human respiratory system material are still relatively low, not rearching the minimum completeness score. Therefore, the purpose of this Classroom Action Research (CAR) is to find out how to apply the demonstration method in science learning as an effort to improve the learning outcomes of grade V students of SDN 3 Kanigoro. This study uses a qualitative approach in the form of Classroom Action Research (CAR) wich is carried out collaboratively between researchers and class teachers. The study was conducted in the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year at SDN 3 Kanigoro. The results of the study in the pre-cycle showed that no students met the minimum completeness score, while in the cycle I there was an increase in learning outcomes of 40% declared complete, and in cycle II 100% of students’ learning outcomes were declaredto meet the minimum completeness score. This shows that the learning success of grade V students at SDN 3 Kanigoro increased after implementing the demonstration learning method with the help of teaching aids on the human respiratory system material.

Abstract

The process of acquiring knowledge regarding buying and selling activities is facilitated through demonstration methods, utilizing diorama media to enhance student learning outcomes and aid students in comprehending the instructional material presented in class IV at SDN Metesih 03 in Madiun Regency. This research was executed employing classroom action research techniques, which were conducted in two phases: the pre-cycle and cycle one. The participants in this study were fourth-grade students from SDN Metesih 03, totaling 8 students. Data collection was performed through observation and written assessments of the students. Consequently, all collected data was analyzed by: 1) reviewing the research data, 2) calculating the results obtained, 3) presenting the data findings, and 4) drawing conclusions from the research results. The findings indicated that after implementing role-playing, 7 out of 8 students successfully completed the learning objectives in the pre-cycle test. In cycle II, with the enhancement of learning through the application of diorama media, all 8 students achieved completion of the learning objectives. Thus, the students' ability to grasp the material related to buying and selling activities improved significantly from pre-cycle to cycle I, with an average understanding increasing from 92.5 to 95.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to help fifth-grade students at SDN Metesih 03 Jiwan, Madiun Regency, learn better by using group discussion techniques and Jemuran Gembira media with the theme "My Proud Region". This research was motivated by the fact that monotonous, repetitive, and boring learning approaches lead to low student learning outcomes. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. This study follows the Kemmis and McTaggart paradigm, which has four steps: planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. Eight fifth-grade students were selected as research subjects. We used tests, documentation, and observation to collect data. The results showed that students' cognitive, emotional, and psychomotor abilities improved significantly. The average score increased to 70 in the first cycle, and the passing percentage increased to 58%, but the success indicator had not been achieved. After the changes were made in Cycle II, learning outcomes improved significantly. The average score became 91.25, and all students were declared to have passed. This improvement was also aided by students who were more interested and motivated. Thus, using clotheslines and group discussions can help elementary school children learn more about science. This strategy is offered as a fun and relevant alternative to thematic teaching.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN Teguhan 02 in the Indonesian Language subject, specifically in the procedural text material, through the implementation of the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach combined with the Balanced Reading method. The TaRL approach is employed to align instruction with the students' actual ability levels, while the Balanced Reading method is applied to gradually develop reading skills through shared reading, guided reading, group reading, and independent reading. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation, learning outcome tests, documentation, and interviews. The results of the study indicate a significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes. The average student score increased from 59 in the pre-cycle to 79 in the first cycle and reached 88.67 in the second cycle, with a mastery learning percentage of 100%. These findings suggest that a learning strategy based on students' actual competencies, supported by a comprehensive literacy approach, can effectively enhance students’ understanding of procedural texts. Moreover, this approach positively influences students' motivation and active participation during the learning process.

Abstract

This study aimed to improve the cognitive learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at MI Islamiyah 01 Madiun City in spatial geometry by implementing Problem-Based Learning (PBL) with the aid of Quizizz. The method used was Kurt Lewin's Classroom Action Research (CAR), which encompasses planning, action, observation, and reflection. Thirteen students participated in the study. Data were collected through observation, tests, documentation, and interviews. Results from the pre-cycle phase indicated that some students still scored below the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM), with a completion percentage of 7.69%. In the first cycle, completion increased to 38.5%, although it did not meet the target. Through learning improvements in the second cycle, all students successfully met the KKM (100%) with an average score of 86.53. The application of PBL and Quizizz has been shown to improve students' understanding of spatial geometry concepts, making learning more contextual and enjoyable. Therefore, this approach has proven effective in improving student learning outcomes in mathematics and is recommended for use in teaching concrete materials.

Abstract

The problem faced in this study is the low learning outcomes of fifth grade students of MI Islamiyah 01 Madiun City on the material of Changes in the Earth's Surface, which can be seen from the number of students who have not reached the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) at the pre-cycle stage. This condition is caused by the use of conventional learning methods that do not actively involve students, so that understanding of concepts becomes less than optimal. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model supported by Smartbox media in IPAS learning. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (PTK) with the Kemmis & McTaggart model which was carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 27 fifth grade students. Data collection techniques included learning outcome tests, observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes after the application of the PBL model assisted by Smartbox. In the pre-cycle, student learning completeness only reached 47.42%. After the action in cycle I, the completeness increased to 68.85% with an average posttest score of 67.77 and in cycle 2 student learning outcomes reached 94.94% with an average score of 80.37. This increase shows that the application of the PBL model with Smartbox media is effective in improving students' understanding and learning outcomes. In addition, student activity and participation during learning also increased, so that the learning process became more meaningful and enjoyable. Thus, the PBL model assisted by Smartbox can be used as an alternative learning strategy to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The research conducted aims to determine the improvement and achievement offifth grade students' learning in the subject of science through the inquiry learningmethod and also the effectiveness of the inquiry learning method assisted bymonopoly media in improving learning achievement. This type of research isclassroom action research (CAR). Fifth grade students of SDN Bendo 02 totaling 14students, consisting of 8 male students and 6 female students became the subjectsof this research. The data collection technique used was a test and non-test in theform of observation. The research procedure in this study consisted of pre-cycle,cycle I and cycle II. The results showed that there was an increase in learningachievement where in the pre-cycle the percentage of acceptance was 28%, thencycle I the percentage of completion was 28% and in cycle II the percentage ofcompletion was 100%. So the learning achievement of fifth grade students of SDNBendo 02 on the material "Indonesiaku Kaya Hayatinya" in the subject of scienceassisted by monopoly media using the inquiry learning method can be said to besuccessful or complete.
