Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Rigorous Mathematical Thinking learning on Students' Mathematical Literacy ability. This type of research uses the Quasi Experiment method. Data collection is done through tests. Data analysis used the Ancova test. The sample of this study were students of SMA Negeri 2 Bengkulu City in class VII I and VII K. The results showed that: (1) there was a linear covariate effect of initial ability on students' mathematical literacy abilities with an effect of 26,5%, (2) there was an effect of Rigorous Mathematical Thinking learning on students' mathematical literacy abilities with an effect of 62,6%, and (3) there was a higher mathematical literacy abilities achievement for class VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Bengkulu City who are taught using Rigorous Mathematical Thinking learning compared to classes taught with conventional learning

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) learning model on the mathematical reasoning and problem solving abilities of Mts Ja-Alhaq students in Bengkulu City. This research uses the Quasi Experiment method. Data collection was carried out through tests. Data analysis used the Ancova test. The sample for this research was MTs Ja-alHaq students in Bengkulu City. The results of the research show that: (1) There is a linear influence of covariates on students' mathematical problem reasoning abilities in learning the Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) with an influence of 50,7%. (2) There is a linear influence of covariates on students' mathematical problem solving in Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) learning with a large influence of 14.6%. (3) There is an influence of Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) learning on students' mathematical problem reasoning abilities with an influence of 78 %. (4) There is an influence of Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) learning on students' mathematical problem solving abilities with an influence of 55,5%. (5) Students' achievement of mathematical problem reasoning abilities in Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) learning is better than those taught through conventional learning. (6) Students' mathematical problem solving achievements in Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) learning are better than those taught through conventional learning

Abstract

Mathematical Problem Solving Skill is one of the most important mathematical competencies for students to master. The problem solving used in this research is the complete step based on Polya. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The purpose of this study was to determine the distribution of the level of mathematical problem solving ability of SMPN 29 Bengkulu Utara students based on Polya's solving steps. The methods of data collections used form of text of problem solving skill, interviews, and documentations. The results of this study showed that the average overall mathematical problem solving ability of students at SMPN 29 Bengkulu Utara was 47.59% with sufficient criteria. The average student ability to understand the problem is 57.67% with sufficient criteria, the average problem planning ability is 56.08% of sufficient criteria, the average problem solving ability is 43.92% with sufficient criteria, and the average ability to re-examine or conclude is 32.67% with low criteria.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah merupakan kemampuan penting yang harus dimiliki oleh mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal pada mata kuliah analisis real. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu ex post facto dengan subjek penelitian mahasiswa semester 2 Program Studi S2 Pendidikan Matematika FKIP UNIB TA 2022/2023 yang berjumlah 6 orang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa lembar tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan pedoman penskoran dengan tahapan Polya. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menghitung nilai kemampuan pemecahan masalah (KPM) matematika dan menganalisis jawaban mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika mahasiswa pada mata kuliah analisis real berada pada kategori baik dengan nilai rata-rata 82,6. Nilai rata-rata untuk setiap tahapan pemecahan masalah menurut Polya yaitu P1=86,67, P2=84,33, P3=83,67, dan P4=73,67. Artinya secara umum mahasiswa dapat memahami masalah dengan sangat baik, serta dapat merencanakan penyelesaian, melaksanakan rencana pemecahan masalah dan memeriksa kembali jawaban yang telah di dapat dengan kategori baik.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how the STAD Cooperative Learning and Mind Mapping models helped 8th graders at SMP Negeri 11 Bengkulu City improve their reflective thinking skills. The design in this study used The-Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. This research is a quasi-experimental research. The total population in this study were 198 people and were all eighth grade students at SMP Negeri 11 Bengkulu City. The sample of this study consisted of 23 students of class VIII G and 19 students of class VIII H. Each sample class held three meetings during the study. The research data shows that the average value of n-gain in the experimental class is 69.21% which is quite effective, and the total value ranges from 33.23% to 82.61% which is classified as good (A). A value is obtained from learning outcomes using the t-test. (2-tailed) = 0.046 < significant level = 0.05 so that the STAD type cooperative learning model assisted by Mind Mapping is said to be able to improve reflective thinking skills in class VIII students at SMP Negeri 11 Kota Bengkulu

Abstract

Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran geometri transformasi berbantuan geogebra bertujuan untuk membekali para guru matematika SMA/MA Kota Bengkulu dalam menghadapi pembelajaran abad 21. Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat telah dilaksanakan secara tatap muka di SMA IT IQRA Kota Bengkulu pada tanggal 21 Mei 2023  yang diikuti oleh 30 peserta dan dilanjutkan secara mandiri sampai tuntas. Kegiatan ini melibatkan beberapa mahasiswa yang menguasai program aplikasi geogebra. Peserta diminta menjawab Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) yang terdapat pada buku penuntun dan mengisi angket respon berupa skala Likert. Angket respon yang dikembalikan peserta berjumlah 30 angket. Setelah data diolah didapat kesimpulan bahwa  ada 72.78% peserta menyatakan sangat setuju dengan pelaksanaan kegiatan PPM tersebut. Hasil uji coba penerapan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) yang dilakukan oleh seorang Guru Matematika SMAN 1 Lebong di kelas XI Jurusan Multimedia diperoleh nilai rata-rata respon siswa  78.26 masuk kategori baik.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the ability to solve mathematical problems in the context of Tabot in Bengkulu state junior high school based on Polya's steps. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Methods of data collection in the form of a test about the ability to solve mathematical problems in the context of Tabot, interviews, and competencies. The results of this study found that the average of all mathematical problem-solving abilities of state junior high school students was 46.54% with sufficient criteria. The average student in the ability to understand the problem is 54.08% with sufficient comparison, the average in the ability to compose problems is 50.45% with sufficient withdrawal, the average problem solving is 43.53% with sufficient comparison, and the average at the conclusion is 34.15% with low criteria. It is suggested to teachers practice solving problem-solving questions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana penerapan model pembelajaran problem-based learning dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik kelas VII B di SMP Negeri 24 Kota Bengkulu. Jenis penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas atau biasa disebut PTK. Dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VII B di SMP Negeri 24 Kota Bengkulu. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menghitung hasil belajar siswa di setiap akhir siklus. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan tes evaluasi di setiap siklusnya. Pada Siklus I, nilai rata-rata tes Peserta didik adalah 67 dengan kelulusan klasikal sebesar 50%. Pada Siklus II mengalami peningkatan nilai rata-rata menjadi 82,9 dengan kelulusan klasikal sebesar 100% dan meningkatnya persentase berpikir kreatif matematis yaitu 52,66% (cukup kreatif) pada Siklus I kemudian pada Siklus II meningkat menjadi 86,77% (kreatif).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengaruh dari penerapan model pembelajaran Project-Based Learning terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Metode penelitian yang dipilih adalah quasi eksperimen. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari keseluruhan siswa kelas VII, di mana dua kelas dipilih sebagai sampel penelitian, yakni satu kelompok eksperimen dan satu kelompok kontrol. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan melalui metode purposive sampling, di mana dua kelas dipilih berdasarkan karakteristik yang dianggap relevan untuk tujuan penelitian. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis menggunakan MANCOVA. Temuan dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model Project-Based Learning berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMP Negeri 16 Kota Bengkulu secara signifikan setelah memperhitungkan kemampuan awal siswa, dengan nilai pengaruh mencapai 78,7%. Selain itu, pengaruh dari kemampuan awal terhadap pemahaman konsep dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa secara bersama-sama adalah sebesar 56,5%.
