Abstract

In Jepara, various cultural activities are conducted regularly every year. This cultural activity is always accompanied by a culinary presentation in accordance with the activities, needs, and interests. One of the cultural activities in Jepara is the lomban festival. In this local tradition, a variety of culinary is presented as complement to the cultural activities. The culinary consists of various types, such as market snacks and complete food with rice, vegetables, and side dishes. The culinary in this lomban activity is described in sequence and detail. The culinary depicts the belief, symbolic and spiritual meaning of the supporters of that culture. Through this study, various types of culinary in cultural activities are well described including the symbolic and spiritual meaning behind the culinary presentation.

Abstract

ABSTRAKInventarisasi kuliner khas Jawa Tengah perlu dilakukan agar warisan budaya takbenda berupa kepandaian memasak makanan khas suatu daerah itu dapat terselamatkan dari kepunahan. Sebagai salah satu warisan budaya takbenda, kepandaian memasak biasanya diwariskan secara turun-temurun dari mulut ke mulut dari orang tua kepada anaknya. Selain itu, masakan yang dihasilkan biasanya merupakan masakan yang bahan dasarnya merupakan sumber daya alam khas di daerah itu, sehingga masakan tersebut menjadi ikon daerah setempat. Agar warisan budaya takbenda ini tetap terselamatkan, maka dilakukan sosialisasi agar setiap daerah di Jawa Tengah mendokumentasikan makanan khas daerahnya. Selanjutnya setiap kota/kabupaten di Jawa Tengah mengirimkan salah satu makanan khas daerah masing-masing beserta resep dan cara memasaknya. Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan ini adalah terbitnya buku Inventarisasi  Kuliner Khas di Jawa Tengah. Kata Kunci: Inventarisasi, Kuliner Khas, Jawa Tengah, Pelestarian, Warisan Budaya Tak bendaABSTRACTAn inventory of Central Javanese culinary specialties needs to be carried out so that the intangible cultural heritage in the form of the ability to cook the typical food of a region can be saved from extinction. As one of the intangible cultural heritages, cooking skills are usually passed down from generation to generation from parents to their children. In addition, the dishes produced are usually dishes whose basic ingredients are natural resources unique to that area, so that these dishes become local icons. In order for this intangible cultural heritage to be saved, socialization was carried out so that each region in Central Java documented its regional specialties. Furthermore, each city/regency in Central Java sends one of the regional specialties, along with the recipe and how to cook it. The results obtained from this activity were the publication of a book on Typical Culinary Inventory in Central Java.Keywords: Demak, community empowerment, batik training, local motifs

Abstract

Abstract The article describes the culinary imp lic ation of offerings and d hanyang in 5 (five) villages in Jepara in the form of traditional ceremonies of Jembul Tulakan, Hari Jadi Kota Jepara, Sedekah Laut, Perang Obor, and Pesta Baratan. Only three out of five ceremonies were present ing culinary offerings as a representation of the dhanyang presence. The objective of this study is to reveal the existence of culinary offerings and d hanyang both by their food types and the intended dh anyang. This study was using a qualitative method which includes the collection of primary and secondary sources through literature study, observation, participants, structured interviews, indepth interviews, and Focus Group Discussion. The approaches which were used are anthropological and hermeneutical approaches. The study reveals a symbolic meaning from the presence of various culinaries presented to dhanyang and wishes expressed implicitly or explicitly in the ceremony. The wishes include the requests of safety, kindness, protection, etc. Recently, these wishes have shifted which caused by better knowledge, belief, and social experience of the performers towards their religion. Public belief in the power of d hanyang still exists even though it is not dominant.

Abstract

This article discusses the development of kentrung art, a traditional art originating from a city on the north coast of Java, namely Jepara. Kentrung has been present to accompany the people of Jepara for a long time and has become one of the instruments in religious rituals in Jepara. In addition, kentrung is also one of the entertainment's communities. In the 1970s to 1980s, kentrung experienced its heyday because it was in great demand by the public. However, in subsequent periods, kentrung faced challenges threatening its existence. Using historical methods, this article examines the adaptation strategy of kentrung art in meeting the challenges of globalization which have brought popular skills to the masses. Apart from that, kentrung also has to face the problem of regeneration because apart from the lack of spectators, there are also very few young people who are interested in becoming kentrung artists. The situation is becoming increasingly threatening to the existence of kentrung because the Covid-19 Pandemic is hitting the world. The results of the research show that the government's commitment, in this case the region and the community, guarantees the sustainability of the kentrung arts. An example is the case of regeneration initiated by the Jungpara Foundation which later gave birth to a kentrung art group named Ken Palman. In addition to regenerating, they also packaged kentrung performances to be more contemporary to attract the public.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPerpustakaan sekolah memegang peran krusial dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran siswa dengan memberikan akses ke beragam sumber informasi. Namun, di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Islam Terpadu (IT) Al Fikri, pengelolaan perpustakaan masih belum mencapai tingkat optimal. Dalam upaya memperbaiki masalah ini, kegiatan pengabdian terbagi menjadi inventarisasi, klasifikasi, dan preservasi koleksi buku perpustakaan, serta sosialisasi kepada pustakawan dan staf sekolah mengenai praktik pengelolaan perpustakaan yang baik. Dengan demikian, upaya ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi pengelolaan perpustakaan sekolah, yang pada gilirannya dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dan aksesibilitas informasi bagi siswa. Kata kunci: perpustakaan, sekolah, inventarisasi, klasifikasi, perservasi ABSTRACTSchool libraries play a crucial role in facilitating students' learning processes by providing access to diverse sources of information. However, at the Integrated Islamic Junior High School (IT) Al-Fikri, library management has yet to reach an optimal. To address this issue, outreach activities encompassing inventory, classification, and preservation of library book collections are undertaken, alongside socialization sessions for librarians and school staff on effective library management practices. Abstract

ABSTRAK“Pelatihan Membatik Pada Ibu-Ibu PKK Purwosari Sayung Demak Sebagai Upaya Meningkatkan Kreativitas Ekonomi Perempuan” bertujuan untuk memberikan bekal kreativitas kepada ibu-ibu PKK Purwosari Sayung Demak agar dapat memanfaatkan ketrampilan membatik untuk meningkatkan perekonomian mereka.  Pekerjaan ini dimulai dengan koordinasi dengan pihak yang terlibat dalam pelatihan, yaitu Ketua PKK Purwosari Sayung Demak dan instruktur pelatihan. Setelah terjadi kesepakatan antara dua pihak tersebut, kemudian ditentukan waktu pelatihan yang berlangsung selama 3 hari. Adapun materi yang diterima oleh ibu-ibu PKK itu adalah proses membatik tulis dan cap hingga mewarnai.Kata kunci: pelatihan membatik; PKK; Demak; peningkatan ekonomi; perempuan  ABSTRACT"Batik Training for Women from PKK Purwosari Sayung Demak as an Effort to Increase Women's Economic Creativity" aims to provide creativity for women from PKK Purwosari Sayung Demak to utilize batik skills to improve their economy. This work began with coordination with the parties involved in the training, the PKK Purwosari Sayung Demak, the chair, and the instructor. After an agreement has been reached between the two parties, a training time is determined which will last for 3 days. Abstract

Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini berjudul “Sosialisasi Cagar Budaya dan Objek diduga Cagar Budaya Untuk Lomba Karya Tulis Ilmiah  (LKTI) Tingkat Siswa SMA di Jawa Tengah”. Adapun tujuannya adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran Sejarah tentang pengertian Cagar Budaya dan Objek Diduga Cagar Budaya.  Selanjutnya tugas para guru itulah untuk mentransfer pemahaman mereka tentang Cagar Budaya dan Objek Diduga Cagar Budaya kepada para siswa SMA yang akan mengikuti LKTI bertema Cagar Budaya.  Pekerjaan ini dimulai dengan studi pustaka untuk memahami konsep kebudayaan, Warisan Budaya, Warisan Budaya Benda, Warisan Budaya Takbenda, Cagar Budaya, Objek Diduga Cagar Budaya, serta tata cara pembuatan LKTI. Selanjutnya data yang ditemukan itu diinventarisir dan disusun menjadi PowerPoint yang dapat digunakan untuk melakukan sosialisasi tentang Cagar Budaya dan Objek Diduga Cagar Budaya, serta cara membuat karya tulis ilmiah.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini berjudul “Sosialisasi Epigrafi Melalui Kegiatan Webinar”. Adapun tujuannya adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat terkait salah satu bidang kajian dalam ilmu arkeologi, yaitu epigrafi, dan bagaimana pemanfaatannya untuk masyarakat.  Pekerjaan ini dimulai dengan koordinasi dengan pihak yang terlibat dalam kegiatan, yaitu koordinasi dengan PAEI sebagai mitra dalam kegiatan ini, kemudian menentukan pembicara webinar, waktu, serta lokasi kegiatan.  Adapun materi yang diterima oleh para peserta webinar adalah tentang jejak-jejak tertulis di Kabupaten Semarang serta teknik pemajangan prasasti di museum. Diharapkan kegiatan ini mampu memberikan wawasan kepada masyarakat terkait dengan pemahaman dan pemanfaatan epigrafi.Kata kunci: sosialisasi, epigrafi, webinar, hybrid ABSTRACTThis Community Service is entitled "Epigraphy Socialization Through Webinar Activities". The aim is to provide an understanding to the public regarding one of the fields of study in archeology, namely epigraphy, and how to utilize it for the community. This work begins with coordination with the parties involved in the activity, namely coordination with PAEI as a partner in this activity, then determining the webinar speakers, time, and location of the activity. The material received by the webinar participants is about written traces in Semarang Regency and the technique of displaying inscriptions in museums. Abstract

This research examines the conservation of heritage buildings based on ownership status of the Oudetrap and Spiegel buildings in the Old Town of Semarang during the period 2015-2022. The purpose of the research is to analyze the implementation of cultural heritage building conservation of the Oudetrap and Spiegel buildings from different ownership statuses. This research employs historical methods by collecting sources through in-depth interviews and several related conservation archives. This research takes two examples of building conservation, namely the Spiegel Building as one of the private properties that has been successfully revitalized since 2012 with clear and consistent ownership and repurposing into a commercially oriented building by 2015, and the Oudetrap Building as the only asset of the Semarang City government in the area managed for public interest, which also tends to prioritize historical value. This research shows that the ownership status of a building plays a significant role in determining the direction of conservation policies and the sustainability of cultural heritage preservation. This research is also complemented by a collaboration model between building owners, the government, and the community to create a balanced approach to the conservation of cultural heritage buildings, balancing historical value and preservation efforts. .

Abstract

Batik is one of Indonesia's iconic cultural heritages with great potential as a leading product in the creative economy sector and a typical souvenir of tourist destinations. However, the batik industry faces various challenges, such as low labor costs, lack of design and production technology innovation, and minimal utilization of business intelligence to support exports to global markets. This study aims to identify opportunities and challenges in developing batik as a competitive tourist destination souvenir in the international market. Using the methods of data collection and consolidation, information needs analysis, and strategy development, this research proposes a framework for mapping batik potential. Government support through regulations and marketing strategies for batik as a craft art includes market penetration, market development, product development, and diversification. A strategic approach that integrates innovation, sustainability, and community empowerment is expected to expand batik's role as a cultural symbol as well as a significant export commodity.
