Abstract

The addition of cow rumen fluid to waste containing cellulose can help decompose the cellulose contained in it through the composting process. Organic waste and paper waste containing ink are wastes that contain cellulose. However, the waste paper containing ink contains Lead (Pb) which is used as a color binding agent in the ink. In the composting process, in addition to the degradation process of organic components in paper, it is necessary to know the process of decreasing the Pb content in the compost material. This study was conducted with the aim of comparing the Pb content after application of cow rumen fluid on a mixture of used paper containing ink and organic waste for 60 days with used paper with ink for 7 days. The objects in this study consisted of two groups, the first group was used paper containing ink mixed with organic waste in a ratio of 1:1, then cow rumen fluid was added and incubated for 60 days, while the second group was inked waste paper added with cow rumen fluid and incubated for 7 days. Pb test incubation using AAS (Atomic Adsorption Spectrophotometer) method. The data were statistically tested by Independent T Test on SPSS 23 Software. The conclusions obtained from this study were the incubation time of inked paper waste with the addition of rumen fluid showed that the difference in Pb levels was not significant. The Pb content in both experimental groups was in accordance with the provisions of SNI 19-7030-2004.

Abstract

Desa Palang adalah salah satu daerah pesisir di Kabupaten Tuban yang kesadaran masyarakatnya terhadap kebersihan lingkungan masih kurang. Ini bisa dilihat dari banyaknya warga yang secara sadar masih membuang sampah di sembarang tempat yang bermuara di lautan. Salah satu jenis sampah yang banyak ditemukan di pesisir Palang adalah sampah plastik. Sampah plastik sulit terdekomposisi secara alami. Di sisi lain, sampah ini masih dapat diolah menjadi biji plastik. Sebelum diolah menjadi biji plastik, sampah plastik harus disortir terlebih dahulu berdasarkan jenis bahannya. Namun, masyarakat Desa Palang belum memiliki  keterampilan dalam memilah sampah plastic. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan pelatihan pemilahan sampah plastik sebagai dasar pembuatan biji plastik. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat mengurangi jumlah sampah plastik di wilayah Palang dan dalam jangka panjang dapat menjadi sumber penghasilan tambahan bagi masyarakat. Metode dalam kegiatan ini adalah penyuluhan dan praktik secara langsung. Penyortiran didasarkan pada jenis bahan plastik. Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan ini peserta dapat memilah sampah plastik berdasarkan jenis bahan plastik dan 70,3% dari total jumlah peserta mengatakan akan mulai memilah sampah plastik.

Abstract

Pioneer plants are plants with high adaptability, so they can grow in disturbed environments, such as ex-limestone mining areas. This adaptability is supported by the ability of these plants to associate with soil bacteria in their rhizosphere area. The presence of these bacteria can support the growth of pioneer plants on disturbed land. The purpose of this study was to characterize the soil bacteria around the rhizosphere of pioneer plants in the former limestone mining areas. Soil samples in the rhizosphere area of 5 pioneer plants from ex-mining lime were then isolated using the Pour plate method to obtain bacterial isolates. The bacterial isolates obtained were then identified their colony morphology. Based on the results of colony morphological identification, 21 isolates were obtained from the rhizosphere of 5 pioneer plants from the former limestone mining area. The highest number of isolates was obtained from the rhizosphere of the Waltheria indica with 9 isolates, 8 isolates of each Lamium barbatum and Digitaria sanguinalis, 7 isolates of Chromoleana odoratum, and 5 isolates of Tridax procumbens.

Abstract

Respon masyarakat terhadap potensi produk olahan buah salak menjadi Kurma salak dan sirup salak sebagai produk unggulan di Kampung Salak menjadi permasalahan bagi POKDARWIS Taruna Mandaka sebagai Mitra pada pengabdian masyarakat ini. Sehingga tujuan pada pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah melakukan analisis terhadap respon masyarakat terkait produk hasil olahan buah salak oleh warga kampung salak sebagai produk oleh-oleh kampung wisata Kampung Salak. Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan selama bulan Mei hingga Oktober 2020. Metode yang digunakan adalah konsultasi/ pendampingan/ mediasi kepada masyarakat kampung salak dusun Rahayu Lereng Kuning desa Rengel kabupaten Tuban. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah sebesar 53% responden menyatakan sangat setuju dengan adanya pengolahan buah salak menjadi kurma salak dan sirup salak, sebesar 66% responden menyatakan belum pernah mencoba olahan buah salak dalam bentuk kurma salak maupun sirup salak dan lebih dari 50% menyatakan menyukai rasa kurma salak yang berbanding lurus dengan persentase mereka menyukai buah salak. Sehingga dapat simpulkan bahwa kurma salak dan sirup salak memiliki potensi yang besar sebagai produk olahan buah salak dan dijadikan sebagai produk unggulan Kampung Salak desa Rengel. Berdasarkan kegiatan yang telah dilakukan diketahui 76% masyarakat belum mengetahui mengenai pengujian terhadap produk makanan dan minuman yang tepat, sehingga hal ini akan dijadikan rekomendasi untuk pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat berikutnya di desa Rengel sehingga dapat terjalin komunikasi dan diskusi antara pihak mitra dan pihak akademisi.

Abstract

The pre-composting process of inked waste paper serves to reduce Pb levels in compost raw materials in the form of inked waste paper by using Pb (lead) degradation agents in the form of corn cob charcoal, activated charcoal, PGPR and cow rumen liquor. This study intends to ensure the quality of waste compost materials in the form of inked waste paper after being given pb degradation agents. Pb test using AAS (Atomic Absorbtion Spectrophotometer) method and cellulolytic bacteria test using pour plate method. The data were statistically tested with Anova and LSD advanced tests. From the results of observations, it was known that the provision of Pb degradations agents in the form of activated charcoal and PGPR has a significant effect on Pb levels and has met SNI 19-7030-2004. Meanwhile, the highest number of cellulolytic bacteria was found in the treatment of giving cow rumen liquor followed by PGPR treatment

Abstract

Kegiatan P2KP Tahun 2021 merupakan salah satu upaya untuk membudayakan pola konsumsi pangan beragam, bergizi seimbang dan aman. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan Kelompok Wanita khususnya TP PKK Desa melalui Sub Kegiatan Pengembangan Pekarangan Kelompok/TP PKK dan Optimalisasi Pemanfaatan pekarangan dalam upaya pengembangan pangan lokal. Untuk mengoptimalkan kegiatan tersebut diperlukan Pendampingan Manajemen Administrasi, dalam hal ini dilakukan oleh tim dari LPM Universitas PGRI Ronggolawe Tuban. Sasaran program ini adalah TP PKK di 26 Desa seluruh Kecamatan di Kabupaten Tuban yang telah melewati tahap seleksi lokasi dan seleksi penerima manfaat. Pendampingan manajemen yang dilakukan oleh TIM LPM UNIROW Tuban ini meliputi kegiatan pendampingan administrasi untuk kegiatan ini meliputi (cara pengisian buku-buku laporan dan perkembangan Hibah), kegiatan pendampingan keorganisasian dan kepemimpinan serta motivasi dalam menggali potensi desa yang dimulai dengan rapat persiapan, sosialisasi tingkat kabupaten dan kecamatan, pengawalan dropping hibah, pendampingan manajemen di tingkat desa, dilanjutkan monitoring, dan evaluasi. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dikatakan berhasil karena pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan sikap anggota TP PKK Desa penerima hibah dan masyarakat untuk memanfaatkan lahan pekarangan sebagai sumber pangan keluarga, dan penanganan keamanan pangan segar meningkat. Selain itu, kemampuan administrasi anggota TP PKK penerima hibah juga lebih baik. Keberhasilan program ini didukung oleh adanya simpul koordinasi yang berjalan dengan lancar karena adanya peran aktif dari Ketua TP PKK sebagai fasilitator dan penghubung antara warga penerima hibah dengan aparat pemerintah.

Abstract

Smoked fish is one of the product based fish in Tuban Regency. Smoked fish is widely sold in traditional markets in Tuban Regency, one of which is Pasar Baru Tuban. Smoked fish production carried out by smoked fish producers in Tuban is mostly done traditionally, so the quality is not guaranteed and less hygienic. One of the important quality parameters is the microbiological parameter based on the total bacterial plate number. The purpose of this study was to determine the total plate number of bacteria in smoked fish in Pasar Baru Tuban. This research is an exploratory descriptive study which was carried out through several stages, namely sampling (tongkol smoked fish and kuniran smoked fish) taken from smoked fish traders in Pasar Baru Tuban, preparation of tools and materials, serial dilution, isolation of bacteria, and counting the total number of bacteria plates. The results obtained in this study are the Total Bacterial Plate Number of smoked kuniran fish is 1.2 X 105 cfu/gram and the Total Bacteria Plate Number of tongkol smoked fish is 1,5 X 105 cfu/gram.. The conclusion of this study is that the total bacterial plate count of smoked fish meet the SNI for smoked fish products.

Abstract

Lichens are organism resulting from symbiosis of algae and fungi. These organisms are often used for monitoring of air quality as bio-indicators. This relates to its ability to respond to the presence of pollutants in the air. Sensitive lichens type, will not be found in locations with polluted air conditions. On the other hand, in locations with polluted environmental conditions, the type of lichen commonly found is tolerant lichen. The response of lichens to environmental conditions can be seen from the lichen body itself which is known as the thallus. This study aims to identify the types of lichen thallus found in the greenbelt area of ​​PT. Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk Tuban Factory. Sampling in this study was conducted at 4 locations, namely TLO, GRE, GTI, and VIE. The results showed that the lichens found in this study had thallus with crustose, fructicose, squamulose, and gelatinous types.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the characteristics of the handmade liquid hand soap formula and its effectiveness in reducing the number of germs. The formulation used is the difference in the amount of EDTA, Texapon, and NaCl used in soap making. The characterization carried out was organoleptic, physical stability at room temperature, pH, viscosity, foam height and stability, water holding capacity, and density. Meanwhile, reduced number of germs was carried out by calculating the total plate number (ALT) of bacteria on the test taker hand before and after washing their hands. The results obtained were that the first formula (P1) which used less amounts of EDTA, Texapon, and NaCl had a bright color, lack of foam, perfect solubility,stable at room temperature, and did not cause a burning feeling in the hands. Whereas the second formulation (P2) with a higher amount of EDTA, Texapon, and NaCl hadexellence in the amoont of foam compared to the previous formula but the solubility was not perfect, less stable at room temperature and caused a burning feeling in the hands. The result of Pairef t test show that the t count is bigger than t table, so the different formulation had an effect on reducing the germ on the test taker hand based on ALT germ number parameter. P1 formulation can reduce the number of bacteria on hands by 47.64% and P2 formulation by 36.12%.

Abstract

Organic fertilizer as an alternative to reduce the scarcity of chemical fertilizers, otherwise it can improve soil fertility. PT. Semen Gresik - Semen Indonesia Persero (Tbk.) Has a lot of plants in the treatment period in ex-mining land that needs fertilizer to help plant growth. In addition, in post-mining land, there is a lot of organic waste in the form of dry leaves under the stands of reclamation trees. The organic waste has the potential to be processed and used as organic fertilizer. This study aims to determine the utilize leaf litter in the reclaimed mine land as organic fertilizer with EM 4 and Molasses bioactivators. This study used is a laboratory experimental method. The results showed the composition of solid material in the form of leaf litter, bran, cow dung and husk charcoal in a ratio of 2: 1: 1: 1 as well as looking material in the form of molasses and EM4 with a dose of 100ml per 100kg of solid material dissolved in enough water (fertilizer can be clenched and expanded slowly and not broken). Conclusion leaf litter in the former reclaimed land can be processed and used as organic fertilizer.
