By then, the present study aims to see how is the self-efficacy of final year students in responding to the policy. This study implements quantitative descriptive research design. The researchers measure the student self-efficacy using a scale adapted from academic self-efficacy consisting of 23 items. The results showed that final year students were not familiar enough with reading and writing scientific articles. As many as 50.98% of respondents admitted that they rarely read scientific articles. There were even 29.41% of respondents who had never written scientific papers before. Interestingly, the average score of students’ self-efficacy in writing scientific papers is quite high, which is 65.5. High self-confidence without being supported by qualified abilities will make scientific articles produced less than optimal. The results of this study can be used as a basis for lecturers and policy makers at universities, in order to familiarize students with reading and writing scientific articles

Early mathematicians viewed mathematics as a beautiful and ethereal art form. However, the pupils in school appear to have no idea of this beauty. Misconceptions about mathematics among students, parents, and instructors are thought to be one of the root causes of the problem. Mathematical misconceptions and myths among instructors, parents, and students were examined in this study. These findings were obtained using a descriptive qualitative method of investigation. Research participants included elementary school pupils and their parents from East Java, Indonesia as well as 10 instructors, 10 students, and 10 parents. Random selection was used to pick the respondents. The results of this study showed that teachers, parents, and students have a wide range of misconceptions about mathematics. Among the misconceptions that occur among students, teachers and parents are: i) The conception of mathematics; ii) The aim of learning mathematics is only to train students to count and memorize formulas; iii) Mathematical ability is a genetic talent and only people who have talent will be proficient in mathematics; and iv) Mathematics is a non-applicable. The consequences of widespread misconceptions about mathematics among teachers, parents, and students are detrimental to the learning process and hinder the development of strong mathematical skills.

Productive disposition is one of mathematical skill that is rarely discussed and researched in nowdays era. Even though this skill is as important as other math skills. This study aims to develop an instrument for measuring productive disposition skills for elementary school students. The research method used is research and development (R&D) with the stages of instrument development consisting of preliminary studies, design, validation, and trials. The research subjects consisted of 99 students in grades 4 and 5 in 4 elementary schools in East Java. For the sake of selection of respondents, purposive random sampling technique is used by the researcher. Furthermore, for data analysis, it used a descriptive quantitative approach. The results of the study show that the developed productive disposition skills measurement instrument is valid and reliable. The results of the reliability test showed a Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.85. The construct validity of the instrument has also been well tested through exploratory factor analysis and item response analysis. The instrument consists of 22 statements that measure productive disposition skills on 5 indicators namely enthusiasm, self-confidence, endurance, curiosity and willing to share. The implication of this research is that the developed productive disposition skills measurement instrument can be used as an evaluation tool in learning that focuses on developing productive dispositions in elementary school students.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, and Create) learning model on students' self-efficacy. This study used an experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study consisted of fifth-grade students at SDN Sekecamatan Kesambi, Cirebon City, which holds an A accreditation. The sample consisted of 21 students from SDN Mega Eltra, the experimental group, and 26 students from SDN Karya Winaya, the control group. Data were collected using a self-efficacy questionnaire. Statistical tests included normality, homogeneity, the Mann-Whitney U test, and the N-Gain test. The analysis results showed moderate N-gain scores in the experimental group and low N-gain scores in the control group. This analysis suggests that the implementation of the RADEC learning model has a more significant impact on improving students' self-efficacy compared to the conventional image-assisted learning model, even after accounting for the initial score differences between the two groups.

This study analyzed teachers' perceptions toward the national exam elimination policy, starting in 2020 at both the primary and secondary school levels. This research implemented an explorative qualitative approach to teachers' perceptions of eliminating the national exam issue. This research employed interviews with 21 purposively chosen informants who were teachers of primary and secondary schools. Accordingly, this research also employed a secondary data collection method in the form of an online survey of 190 formal education teachers. The result of the study showed that the teachers argued about the national exam in many aspects. The curriculum is considered too narrow, too much attention for cognitive aspect, and does not accommodate students’ potential diversity. The national exam is also defective on both juridical and theoretical. However, eliminating the national exam worried the teachers regarding the drop in students' learning motivation and the gap in schools’ education quality. Teachers need to know that national exams are not the only reason to make students study hard. Teachers should foster students' internal motivation by emphasizing that learning should not occur because of exams.
