Abstract

The current implementation of remedial learning is considered not in accordance with Permendikbud (Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture) No. 103 of 2014 because teachers experience time constraints. Using remedial learning videos based on e-learning is one of the efforts that can be made to overcome these constraints. This study aimed to develop remedial learning videos based on e-learning on algebraic forms material that met valid, practical, and effective criteria. This study used the research and development approach with the ADDIE development model. The subjects in this study were 82 Grade VIII students at three levels of school in Banda Aceh. The instruments used were a validation sheet, student response questionnaire, and remedial test using e-learning. Based on the results of the study, the validation average obtained is 98.40% with very valid criteria, student response obtained at 83.28% with practical criteria, and effective based on the increase in student learning outcomes seen from the N-Gain on the diagnostic test and remedial test of 0.57 in the moderate category.

Abstract

Cognitive ability is one of the mathematics learning outcomes. Low cognitive ability affects student learning outcomes, and teachers must overcome these problems. This study aimed to see the variation in the improvement of mathematics learning outcomes between students who used the flipped classroom model and those who did not. This study applied a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design and a non-equivalent (pre-test and post-test) control group design. The population is Year 8 students at one of the public junior high schools in Aceh, Indonesia. By simple random sampling, the samples selected were one experimental class and one control class. The research instrument involves the pythagorean theorem test, while the instruments include lesson plans, student worksheets, and learning videos. The data were collected through pre-test and post-test. The data analysis was carried out by t-test to observe the difference in improving students' mathematics learning outcomes in the two classes. The results show that 1) the increase in students' mathematics learning outcomes was better when using the flipped classroom model than those without the model; 2) the increase in learning outcomes of the experimental class was in the high category while it was in the medium category for the control class.

Abstract

Global warming is accelerating and is primarily driven by high greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The food sector is a significant contributor to carbon emissions, particularly food production and consumption. Therefore, it is crucial to instill knowledge about low-carbon emission foods in students early by integrating this topic into curricular activities, such as the project for strengthening the profile of pancasila students (P5). This study aims to evaluate the improvement in students' knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors regarding low-carbon emission foods before and after implementing the P5 project. A descriptive quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method was employed in this study. The subjects consisted of 33 Year 7 students in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. The findings reveal that implementing the P5 project, grounded in low-carbon emission foods, significantly enhanced students' knowledge, attitudes, and environmentally conscious behaviors. The project provided students with theoretical knowledge and promoted behavioral change through practical experiences

Abstract

Beliefs about Beliefs about the nature of mathematics can impact teachers' confidence in teaching math and their professional development. A study with 187 elementary school teachers in Banda Aceh showed that these beliefs have a significant direct effect on increasing beliefs about teaching math but only a minimal direct effect on improving teachers' professional character. Beliefs about teaching act as an indirect-only mediation variable between beliefs about the nature of mathematics and teacher characteristics, suggesting a high and significant indirect effect. Further research is needed to confirm these results

Abstract

This study aims to identify factors affecting Indonesian students achievement in mathematics based on the last three period of PISA data; 2012, 2015, and 2018..Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) was employed in this study. The population of this study were 15 years old Indonesian students. On the other hand, the sample is composed5.622 students, 6513 students, and 12.098 studentsfor those each three periods. The data were obtained from OECD website. The result shown there is a high and positive relationship between mathematics achievement with mathematics self-concept and socioeconomic status. The medium and positive effect can be seen in motivation variable. It has also been determined that the variable mathematics anxiety has a negative and small effect on mathematics achievement. According to the results of the research study there is no meaningful relationship between variables of sense of belonging, self-efficacy, and mathematics achievement of Indonesian students.

Abstract

Ineffective learning during Covid-19 can be a major cause of learning loss. Through polytomous item response theory analysis, this study seeks to identify learning loss of fractions and investigate the reliability and validity of the DINA model diagnostic test. This study involved 177 Grade 8 students from six junior high schools in Banda Aceh, Indonesia, to obtain information about the validity and reliability of the diagnostic test and learning loss of fraction due to Covid-19. The research was conducted by designing diagnostic test, expert validation, and empirical testing. Multiple choice problems with polytomous options were developed. This study produced 20 valid problems based on the level of item discriminant, item difficulty, and slip and guess, with a reliability of 0.899. This study revealed that learning loss was experienced by 62 students from low-level junior high schools (100%), 51 students from middle-level junior high schools (98%), and 54 students from high-level junior high schools (85.7%). It can be said that low-level schools have the highest percentage of students with learning loss. It is recommended that future studies evaluate the effectiveness of diagnostic tests in identifying learning weaknesses in mathematics before semester exams using the items generated in this study.

Abstract

This study examines the direct and indirect effects of organizational climate, servant leadership, and personality on teachers’ Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), with trust as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 110 private junior high school teachers in Tangerang Regency, Indonesia, and analyzed using regression-based path analysis. The results indicate that organizational climate, servant leadership, personality, and trust each have significant positive direct effects on teachers’ OCB, with trust emerging as the strongest predictor. Further analysis reveals that trust selectively mediates the relationships between servant leadership and OCB, as well as between personality and OCB, while it does not mediate the effect of organizational climate on OCB. These findings suggest that relational and dispositional factors influence teachers’ discretionary behavior primarily through trust-based mechanisms, whereas organizational climate operates through normative or structural pathways. The study contributes to the OCB literature by demonstrating trust as a selective, rather than universal, mediator within an integrated organizational–individual model. Practically, the findings underscore the importance of servant leadership practices and trust-building processes in fostering voluntary and extra-role behavior among teachers.
