Abstract

The potential of the coffee industry in Probolinggo City, especially in the Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises food and beverage sector, including coffee shops, shows promising growth. For example, the coffee shops in the Tisnonegaran Village have become a significant tourist destination contributing to the local economy. However, coffee industry stakeholders face several challenges. The availability of high-quality coffee beans is a major concern as they often need to be sourced from outside the city, leading to stock instability and price fluctuations due to high delivery costs. To address these challenges, artisan coffee roasting technology training plays a crucial role. This training provides a deep understanding of the coffee bean roasting process, enabling coffee business owners to produce high-quality beans with unique flavor profiles. Knowledge about coffee bean selection, temperature control, and roasting times equips participants with the ability to optimize their coffee products. Furthermore, a plan for the development of artisan nano coffee roaster machine technology is also proposed to enhance the quality of mature coffee beans. Through collaboration with students, this technology's design is expected to bring innovation and a deeper understanding of effective roasting equipment and techniques. By combining training, technological development, and collaboration among coffee industry stakeholders, students, and the government, Probolinggo City has the potential to become a high-quality and competitive hub for the coffee industry in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study investigates the effects of the quality of accounting information and system integration on financial decision-making among traditional market traders who have adopted QR code payments (QRIS) in Probolinggo City, Indonesia, with digital literacy serving as a moderating variable. The research addresses the growing need to understand how digital payment systems transform financial management practices in traditional business settings. Employing a quantitative cross-sectional approach, data were collected from 47 traders who had been using QRIS for at least six months through purposive sampling techniques. Structured questionnaires measuring accounting information quality, system integration, digital literacy, and financial decision-making effectiveness were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The study found that both accounting information quality and system integration have a significant positive impact on the effectiveness of financial decision-making processes. Notably, digital literacy was shown to significantly strengthen these relationships, acting as a crucial moderating factor. The research confirms that enhancing digital literacy is essential to support digital transformation in accounting practices, particularly in traditional markets where manual processes still dominate. Additionally, the integration of digital payment systems with existing manual accounting processes proves essential for improving financial performance and operational decision-making among traders. These findings have important implications for policymakers and financial service providers in promoting sustainable business growth and digital inclusion in traditional market environments within Indonesia's rapidly evolving digital economy landscape.

Abstract

Pro Farm, a producer of goat-manure organic fertilizer in Dringu, Probolinggo, faces marketing constraints due to reliance on offline sales and local promotions. This community program aims to strengthen competitiveness through a simple, measurable, capacity-fit digital marketing rollout. The intervention comprised three stages: (1) socialization to align understanding, select priority channels (Instagram, Shopee, Tokopedia, Lazada), and set performance indicators; (2) training on promotional content and account management—product photography, short video, copywriting, scheduling, and responsive service; and (3) assisted setup of social media and online stores, including storefront curation, product descriptions, reply templates, and daily operating procedures. Results indicate improved organizational readiness: objectives, posting cadence, content pillars, and style standards were agreed; an active Instagram account and marketplace shops present clear information with consistent calls to action; the service flow from comments to chat to checkout was shortened; and weekly metric tracking began (follower growth, reach, storefront visits, chat–order ratio, review quality). Findings emphasize that digital adoption depends less on budget and more on consistent execution, continuous learning, and role governance. Recommended next steps include strengthening social proof, optimizing keywords, testing content variants, fostering local collaborations, and securing accounts via two-factor authentication and access management. The three-stage model is replicable for agribusiness MSMEs with local adaptations, enabling market expansion, revenue growth, and business sustainability, grounded in field data and customer needs.

Abstract

Empowerment of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Ambulu Village, Sumberasih Subdistrict, Probolinggo Regency, was conducted through direct assistance by the KKN 11 team from Universitas Panca Marga. This activity included the creation of visual promotional media such as banners, digitalization of business locations using Google Maps, and digital marketing training for MSME actors like tofu factories, laundry services, spice milling, and catering businesses. The results showed an increase in business visibility in the digital world, a rise in new customers, and growing motivation among MSME actors to manage their businesses independently. The main challenges identified were limited digital literacy and technological infrastructure, which require attention for program sustainability. This study provides an MSME empowerment model based on the integration of conventional promotional media and digitalization that can be replicated in other areas.

Abstract

Abstract

This community service initiative in Dringu Village, Indonesia, responds to the pressing plastic waste predicament exacerbated by population growth and challenges in reducing plastic dependence. The village, rich in natural resources, faces environmental threats and significant floods due to waste accumulation, impacting social and economic structures. The program's objectives center around implementing the ecobrick method to train and mentor residents, enhance practical skills in plastic waste management, and economically empower the community by viewing plastic waste as a resource for potential business opportunities. Employing a Community-Based Participatory Research approach, the initiative actively involves the community in issue identification through dialogues, fostering local capacity to independently tackle the plastic waste problem. Key participants include cadre members, PKK, and village officials, forming a robust framework for comprehensive and sustainable plastic waste management. The meticulous preparation by participants involved sorting waste, creating ecobricks by filling plastic bottles with small-cut plastic waste, and adding an aesthetic touch through green painting. Plywood pieces complemented the design, forming a two-level shoe rack. This innovative product not only addresses plastic waste but also presents economic opportunities for the community, fostering self-sufficiency and overall well-being
