Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh problem based learning dalam pembelajaran fisika yang ditinjau secara keseluruhan, jenjang pendidikan, hasil penelitian atau variabel respon, materi, dan media yang digunakan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan meta analisis. Adapun alur penelitian meta analisis adalah menentukan topik penelitian, menetapkan kriteria pemilihan data, mencari data, mengelompokkan informasi data, kemudian menganalisis data dan menyimpulkan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan data sekunder yang berasal dari penelitian terdahulu berupa 23 artikel publikasi ilmiah. Teknik analisis data menggunakan besaran effect size. Hasil meta analisis ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan problem based learning berpengaruh besar dalam pembelajaran fisika dengan nilai effect size rata-rata sebesar 0,524. Penerapan problem based learning dalam pembelajaran fisika berpengaruh besar apabila diterapkan pada jenjang perguruan tinggi, menghasilkan output meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif, menggunakan pokok bahasan cahaya, dan dibantu media pembelajaran secara virtual berupa video based laboratory. Kata kunci: meta analisis; problem based learning; pembelajaran fisika. ABSTRACTThis study aims to analyze the effect of problem-based learning in physics learning that is reviewed as overall, school level, research results or response variables, subject matter, and the media used. This research method uses meta-analysis. The meta-analysis research stage is to determine the research topic, determine data selection criteria, search for data, classify data information, then analyze the data and making conclusion. The data collection technique uses secondary data from previous research of 23 scientific publication articles. The data analysis technique uses the effect size. The results of this meta-analysis concluded that the implementation of problem-based learning had a great effect on learning physics with an average effect size of 0.524. The application of problem-based learning in physics learning had a great effect when applied at the tertiary level, increasing creative thinking skills, using light as the subject matter, and assisted by virtual learning media in the form of a video-based laboratory. Keywords: meta-analysis; problem-based learning; physics learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Discovery Learning learning model on physics learning which is reviewed based on all verified articles, education level, research results or response variables, media used, and learning materials. The research method used is meta-analysis. The flow of the meta-analysis research is the first to determine the research topic, the second to determine the criteria for selecting the data, the third to search for the data, the fourth to classify the data information, and finally to analyze and conclude. The data collected is secondary data derived from previous research in the form of 22 scientific publication articles. The data analysis technique uses effect size values. The results of this meta-analysis obtained an average effect size value of 0.852. The application of Discovery Learning in learning physics has a big effect when applied at the high school level and can improve science process skills in students. Discovery Learning has a big influence on the kinetic theory of gases with rocky virtual lab learning media.

Abstract

Analisis tren perkembangan penelitian pembelajaran fisika berbasis STEM pada tahun 2011-2021 dengan menggunakan metode bibliometrik bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan, (1) perkembangan publikasi ditinjau dari jumlah, tipe dan bahasa;, (2) top sepuluh publikasi berdasarkan negara, institusi dan peneliti di dunia dan Negara Indonesia;, (3) media ilmiah dan subjek publikasi ilmiah;, (4) visualisasi VOSviewer perkembangan publikasi;, dan (5) visualisasi VOSviewer perkembangan publikasi berdasarkan peneliti. Pengumpulan data melalui penelusuran di Scopus dengan kategori artikel, abstrak dan kata kunci pada tahun 2011-2021. Database dianalisis menggunakan software VOSviewer dan Microsoft Excel 2010. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui tipe dokumen publikasi berupa conference proceeding, jurnal, buku series dan buku dengan penelitian tertinggi pada tahun 2020. Negara yang banyak mempublikasikan penelitian pembelajaran fisika berbasis STEM adalah United States, dan Universitas Negeri Malang menduduki tingkat pertama yang aktif dalam mengulas pembelajaran fisika berbasis STEM tahun 2011-2021. Social sciences adalah subjek yang banyak diulas dan Journal of Physics Conference Series masuk dalam prosiding yang aktif dalam mempublikasikan pembelajaran fisika berbasis STEM. Pada visualisasi VOSviewer publikasi pembelajaran fisika berbasis STEM terbukti dapat mengembangkan keterampilan abad ke-21. Namun, belum ada peneliti yang mengkaji keterampilan cross-cultural understanding, communication dan career & learning self-reliance dalam pembelajaran fisika berbasis STEM. Selain itu, visualisasi VOSviewer berdasarkan pengarang ditemukan 23 klaster. Berdasarkan temuan ini, penelitian pembelajaran fisika berbasis STEM direkomendasikan untuk dikembangkan lebih lanjut, terutama yang berkaitan dengan keterampilan cross-cultural understanding, communication, dan career & learning self-reliance. Trend analysis of the STEM-based development of physics learning research in 2011-2021 using a bibliometric method to describe (1) Publication growth in terms of quantity, type, and language; (2) Country, institution, and author rankings of top ten publications; (3) core journals and scientific publication subjects, (4) VOSviewer visualization of publication developments; (5) Researcher-driven visualization of VOSviewer publication developments. We used the Scopus database to collect articles, abstracts, and keywords in 2011-2021. VOSviewer software and Microsoft Excel 2010 were used to analyze the database. Research results, conference proceedings, journals, book series, and books will have the highest research in 2020. The United States and state universities are frequent publishers of STEM-based physics learning studies. Malang achieved the status of a first-level research institution. Social science`s subject is often reviewed, and the Journal of Physics Conference Series`s included in a scientific media that is active in publishing STEM-based physics learning. In the VOSviewer visualization of development, STEM-based physics learning proves able to develop 21st-century skills. However, in STEM-based physics learning, no studies have been done on cross-cultural comprehension, communication, and career and learning self-reliance; A VOSviewer graphic created by the author also detected 23 clusters. Based on these findings, STEM-based physics learning research is recommended to be further developed, especially those related to cross-cultural understanding, communication, and career & learning self-reliance skills.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the feasibility of the scientific literacy assessment instrument, describe the high school students’ scientific literacy profile on global warming material, and examine scientific literacy instruments' practicality. The research data was collected using scientific literacy instruments with 16 multiple choice and four essays and student response questionnaires. This research refers to the ADDIE model. The analysis data of this instrument's feasibility is viewed from five criteria: the logical and empirical validity of the items, reliability, difficulty level, and distinguishing power. Student response questionnaires analyzed using quantitative descriptive methods. The sampling technique selected randomly. This study's limited trial subjects were 24 physics education freshmen at one of the state university in Surabaya city to determine the feasibility of the scientific literacy assessment instrument. Thirty-three students of Class XI MIPA 3 at one of the private senior high schools in Krian is a field trial. The results showed that the scientific literacy assessment instrument was feasible, with 10 of the 20 items developed. The average achievement of students' scientific literacy as a whole was 38. While the students’ ability in each aspect, namely explaining scientific phenomena, designing and evaluating scientific investigations, and interpreting scientific data and evidence, is in a very low category, less than 50%. The practicality of the instrument developed with a value range of 62%-74% in a good category. This research can be used as an evaluation material in learning activities to be more effective and optimal in improving scientific literacy skills.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of inquiry in physics learning which can be viewed in terms of education, results, materials, and research on the learning media used. The method used is Meta-Analysis with the research flow, namely determining the research topic, setting data criteria, searching for data, classifying data, analyzing and drawing conclusions. Data collection techniques using secondary data from 23 relevant articles from previous scientific publications. The data analysis technique uses effect size. The results of this meta-analysis conclude that the application of the inquiry learning model has a significant effect on physics learning, with an effect size value of 1.216. The application of inquiry in physics learning has a considerable impact if applied to the elementary school education level by producing outputs that increase understanding of concepts, use light subjects, and help learning media in worksheets.

Abstract

The development of the 21st-century research world that responds to the current challenges of the times presents a new status for trends in this field. Therefore, to understand and focus on the status of these trends, efforts need to be made. The purpose of this research is to review several top-cited publications using bibliometric analysis on document type, source document, contributed country, language, top affiliation, sponsorship funding, top source title, source title, research citations, as well as visualization of mapping research trends across and top 50 cited publications for the last 10 years on 21st-century skills research. The metadata used is the Scopus database and mapping application using VOSviewer with 428 documents. The bibliometric results show that the trend of 21st-century skills research in the last 10 years is 1) 21st-century skills focused on students; 2) the subjects studied are computing and engineering; 3) teaching for 21st-century skills; 4) the most researched skill is critical thinking; 5) based on e-learning or learning system.

Abstract

Tujuan penulisan artikel Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini adalah untuk menganalisis respons peserta pelatihan pembuatan modul proyek pembelajaran STEAM terintegrasi mitigasi bencana alam dalam Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar. Kegiatan dilaksanakan mulai tanggal 7 Juli 2022 hingga 26 September 2022. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan PkM ini meliputi kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam pembuatan modul proyek penguatan profil pelajar Pancasila melalui pembelajaran STEAM terintegrasi mitigasi bencana alam dalam implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar. Peserta pelatihan merupakan guru-guru di SMP dengan latar belakang berbagai bidang studi. Peserta terdiri dari 15 orang guru dan 1 staff tata usaha. Pelatihan diawali dengan materi pentingnya integrasi mitigasi bencana alam dalam pembelajaran, STEAM learning, overview Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar khu­susnya dalam penguatan profil pelajar Pancasila, serta inspirasi modul proyek berbantuan alat peraga terrarium biekosistem untuk topik bencana iklim. Setelah dibentuk kelompok, pembimbingan dan pendampingan dilakukan melalui WhatsApp Group dan laporan pro­gress kelompok dilaksanakan secara daring melalui aplikasi Zoom meeting. Berdasarkan hasil angket, peserta pelatihan memberikan respons positif terhadap kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan pembelajaran STEAM terintegrasi mitigasi bencana alam dalam Kurikulum Merdeka. Peserta merasa mendapatkan manfaat dari pelatihan yang diberikan, mendapat­kan gambaran tentang implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka, mendapatkan gambaran tentang proyek penguatan profil pelajar Pancasila, juga merespons positif terhadap komunikasi penyampaian materi oleh narasumber serta pelatihan yang dilaksanakan. Pendampingan peserta menghasilkan beberapa tema modul proyek, yakni: biopori, rain water harvesting, mitigasi bencana gunung meletus, dan kearifan lokal desain rumah di daerah rawan longsor.This community service article aims to analyze the responses of the training participants in the creation of STEAM learning project modules integrated with natural disaster mitigation in the independent learning curriculum. The activity was carried out from 7 July 2022 to 26 September 2022. The method used in this community service activity included training and mentoring in making project modules to strengthen the Pancasila student profile through STEAM learning integrated with natural disaster mitigation in implementing the independent learning curriculum. The training participants are teachers in junior high schools with backgrounds in various fields of study. Participants consisted of 15 teachers and one administrative staff. The training begins with material on the importance of integrating natural disaster mitigation into learning, STEAM learning, an overview of the independent learning curriculum, especially in strengthening the Pancasila student profile, as well as inspiration for project modules assisted by the bi-ecosystem terrarium teaching aids for the topic of climate disasters. After the group is formed, guidance and assistance are carried out through the WhatsApp Group, and group progress reports are carried out online through the Zoom meeting application. Based on the questionnaire results, the training participants positively responded to the integrated STEAM training and learning assistance activities on natural disaster mitigation in the independent curriculum. Participants feel that they have benefited from the training provided, got an overview of the implementation of the independent curriculum, got an overview of the project to strengthen the Pancasila student profile, and responded positively to the communication of material delivery by resource persons and the training carried out. The assistance of the participants resulted in several project module themes, namely: bio pore, rainwater harvesting, mitigation of volcanic eruptions, and local wisdom in designing houses in landslide-prone areas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil identifikasi pemahaman konsep mahasiswa calon guru pada topik Teori Kinetik Gas. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode eksplorasi untuk memperoleh hasil identifikasi pemahaman konsep mahasiswa calon guru Fisika pada materi teori kinetik gas. Instrumen tes yang digunakan berbentuk three-tier, kombinasi jawaban dikategorikan menjadi paham konsep, kurang paham konsep, tidak paham konsep, menebak, dan miskonsepsi. Hasil jawaban mahasiswa calon guru Fisika dikategorikan berdasarkan kombinasi jawaban dan dideskripsikan hasil temuannya. Secara umum, banyak mahasiswa calon guru Fisika yang paham konsep teori kinetik gas, namun masih ada yang mengalami miskonsepsi. Miskonsepsi paling banyak dialami mahasiswa calon guru Fisika pada sub topik persamaan keadaan gas.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the quality of class-based instruments in the domains of knowledge, attitudes and skills to measure scientific literacy competency. This research uses a limited ADDIE research design consisting of Analyze, Design and Development stages. Data was collected using test and questionnaire methods. This research was tested on 30 Unesa Physics Education Study Program students. Theoretical validity results show that the assessment instrument prepared meets the valid category. The theoretical validity results were obtained from validation by 3 expert validators, namely 2 Unesa Physics Education lecturers and 1 MBI Amanatul Ummah Pacet Mojokerto teacher. Empirical validity was obtained from testing the assessment instrument on 30 active Unesa Physics Education students with a total of 15 questions. Then, the question item was declared valid with an rcount of 0.922 and an rtable of 0.361.

Abstract

The learning process in the 21st century requires students to have scientific literacy skills. However, in fact, the scientific literacy skills of Indonesian students are relatively low and tend to decline every year. The purpose of this study was to describe the scientific literacy profile of high school students for the competency aspect in the material of sound waves. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive analysis method. The study was conducted in May 2024 at one of the State High Schools in Nganjuk Regency. The population in this study was 72 students. The research instrument used was a scientific literacy test that had been declared valid with an average Percentage of Agreement (PoA) of 96.43. The data analysis technique used quantitative descriptive analysis from the results of calculating the level of scientific literacy of students. The results of the study obtained a profile of scientific literacy competencies of students of 3% very low, 51% low, 33% sufficient, and 13% high. The percentage for each indicator of scientific literacy competency obtained by students is 43% for the competency of explaining phenomena scientifically, 33% for the competency of evaluating and designing scientific investigations, and 23.6% for the competency of interpreting data and evidence scientifically.
