ABSTRACTÂ This research is motivated by the students understanding of mathematical concepts are still low and the students did not dare to ask and did not want to answer questions from the teacher. This study aimed to determine whether students understanding of mathematical concepts by implementing cooperative learning model exchanging greetings and questions technique better understanding of mathematical concepts than students taught with conventional teaching. This research is an experimental study, the research design Against Random subject. The instrument used in this study is the ultimate test of understanding of mathematical concepts. Based on the results of the analysis of the data found that both classes of normally distributed and homogeneous samples. Hypothesis test results obtained t = 1,86 and is larger than the table = 1,665 thus reject H0 which means thank H1, the hypothesis in this study received and it can be concluded that the students understanding of mathematical concepts by implementing cooperative learning techniques about exchanging greetings and more understanding of mathematical concepts better than students taught by conventional teaching eighth grade students MTsN Talaok shadow.Â

ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the students understanding of mathematical concept are still low and studentsâ not interest in learning mathematical. This research was aimed to determine whether studentsâ understanding of mathematical concept by implementing the wheel of fortune learning technique better than the studentsâ understanding of mathematical concept than the implementing of conventional learning in class XI IPS SMAN 16 Padang school year 2013/2014. This was an experimentasl research and applied random research toward the subject. Based on the perceived data analysis, the class sample has normally distributed and homogeneus. Hypothesis test result obstained P-value = 0,009 was smaller than  then reject , so the research hypothesis was accepted. It can be concluded that the studentâs understanding of mathematical concept by implementing the wheel of fortune learning technique better than the studentsâ understanding of mathematical concept than the implementing of conventional learning in class XI IPS SMAN 16 Padang school year 2013/2014.Â

 ABSTRACT This research was conducted based on the studentâs understanding on mathematics concept was still low and the low curiosity of student to the subject material. This research was aimed at revealing wheather the use of Prediction Guide technique could give a better effect on the studentâs understanding on mathematics concept than conventional learning in class VIII SMPN 6 Lubuk Basung. This was an experimental research which used random desain toward subject. The instrument of the research was test on mathematics concept. The data then was analyzed by using t-test assisted with MINITAB. Based on the data analysis, it was revealed that the sample was distributed normally and had homogeny variant. The result of hypothesis test showed that p-value (0,023) was smaller than indicating that the hypothesis was accepted. Hence, it was concluded that the application of Prediction Guide technique could improve the studentsâ understanding on mathematics concept better than that of the conventional learning.

 ABSTRACT The background of this research is students are still low to understand the concept of mathematic and they donât want to ask some question, share opinion about the material that have been not understood yet. To solve the problem, teacher should apply active learning like learning tournament strategy. The purpose of this research is to know the students in understanding mathematic concept by applying learning tournament is better than convensional learning strategy. Kinds of this is experiment research. The population in this research is grade nineth SMPN 2 Ranah Pesisir. Instrument that used in this research used essay from reliability 0,93. The technique of data analysis used T-test one side. Based on the result of hypothesis obtained T-table = 1,6735 T-count = 3,86 so Tcount > Ttable. There for hypothesis is reviced at level confidence 95%. In conclusion students mathematic concept by applying learning tournament strategy is better than convensional learning strategy in class grade nineth SMPN 2 Ranah Pesisir.Â

ABSTRACTÂ The background of this research is student assume study of mathematics is difficult and boring and then comptehend of mathematics concepts of students is very low. The aims of this research is to know the studentsâ understanding of mathematical concept by applying Strategy Domino Game to understanding mathematical concept class student of VIII SMPN 11 Padang. The kind of this research is experimental research by random design towards the subject. The population in this research was students in VIII grade SMPN 11 Padang in school year 2013/2014. The sample Class choses VIII.C class as experimental class and VIII.B class as control class. The instrument which was used is final test. form of Tes the used is essay and obtained by problem which is reliabel. Technique of data analysis using t-test of the side with MINITAB software. Based the of hypothesis test obtained by P-Value 0,037 less than that is 0,05, hence research hypothesis accepted. Inferential that understanding of mathematical concept of student by using strategy Domino Game better than the understanding of mathematical concept of student use conventional study.

ABSTRAK The aim of this research was to reveal whether the mathematics conceptual understanding of the students taught by using The Accelerated Learning approach with posing questions technique was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning. This was an experimental research which used random toward the subject design. The population of the research was the students in class VIII of MTsN Asam Kumbang registered in academic year 2013/2014. The instrument of the research was an essay posttest on mathematics conceptual understanding whose reliability was 0,79. The result of data analysis indicated that the two sample classes were normally distributed and homogenous. Furthemore, the value of thitung  and was higer ttabel indicating that the mathematics conceptual understanding of the students taught by using The Accelerated Learning approach with posing questions technique was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning students in class VIII of MTsN Asam Kumbang

ABSTRACTThis research based on the phenomenon of student study and comprehen math concept. Their understanding was still low. It made them unactive. This research wants to describe student grade XII for science departement in their learning activity. It also wants to know wheter their understanding of math concept using active learning strategies type quiz team with handout is better than conventional learning. This was an experimental research, it used random research design toward the subject. The instrument used in this research is the observation form and test for students understanding of math concepts. The results of research shows that the positive activity of students in learning mathematics using active learning strategies type quiz team and handouts has increased, while the negative activity has decreased in every meeting. Hypothesis test results obtained P-value = 0.006 was smaller than α = 0.05, indicating that the hypothesis was accepted. So, it was concluded that the students understanding of math concepts by applying active learning strategies type quiz team with handouts better than students understanding of the math concepts with conventional learning. Â

 The research are motivated by the mathematics conceptual understanding of the students that still low. The aim of this research to determine whether the mathtematics conceptual understanding of the students taught by using active learning strategy type Everyone is a Teacher Here (ETH) accompanied Speed Test was better than that of students tought by using conventional learning. This was an experimental research. The population of the research was the students in class VIII SMPN 2 Painan. The instrument of research was an essay posttest whose reliability was 0.83. The result hypothesis test using MINITAB software obtained P-value = 0.001 was less than α = 0.05. It can be concluded that the mathematics conceptual understanding of the students tought by using active learning strategy type Everyone is a Teacher Here (ETH) accompanied Speed Test was better than that of students tought by using conventional learning in class VIII SMPN 2 Painan.Â

ABSTRACT This research was conducted based on the fact indicating that the studentsâ understanding on mathematic concept was still low, the students seemed to be less active and unable to complete the tasks given by themselves. The aim of this research was to improve the studentsâ activity and understanding on mathematic concept by using College Ball strategy in class XI IPS of SMA Adabiah 2 Padang. This was an experimental research whose sample was chosen by random. The instruments of the research were observation sheets and a test on the studentsâ understanding on mathematic concept with reliability r11= 0,91. The result of the research revealed that after the strategy applied, the studentsâ activity improved, and their understanding on mathematic concept was better than that of students treating by using conventional learning strategy. This could be seen from the P-Value (0,001) which was smaller than α (0,05), Thus it was concluded that the use of College Ball strategy could improve the studentsâ understanding on mathematic concept better than that of the conventional learning.

ABSTRACTThe background from this research is a low comprehension studentsâ mathematics concept at MTsN Durian Tarung Padang. The aim from this research is to know the comprehension studentsâ mathematics which use active learning strategies Quiz team more better from a comprehension studentsâ with use a conventional learning. A kind from this research is experiment with purposive sampling. The instrument is a comprehension studentsâ mathematics test like essay with reliability test is  = 0,86. Analysis data technique which use is t-test in one side with Minitab. According to the hypothesis testing results obtained tvalue=3,33 is greater than ttable=1,66 so that the hypothesis research is accepted. It can be concluded that the students comprehension of mathematical concepts by applying active learning strategies Quiz team with better than students in the class VIII.2 comprehension of mathematical concepts with conventional learning students in the class VIII.3 at the level of 95% in MTsN Durian tarung Padang.
