Abstract

Mathematics is one of the subjects that students find difficult, especially for the mastery of realistic questions or in the form of story problems. These questions are included in CTL-based or contextual questions. Contextual problem is a question that links the material with real-world situations and encourages students to make connections between the material they teach and its application in their daily lives. Mathematics teacher at SMA Adabiah has difficulty designing CTL-based math problems. In addition, during this pandemic, teachers had difficulty giving questions online because face-to-face was not possible. For this reason, teachers are required to have creativity so that learning can be understood by students. Mathematics teachers are given training that supports this. The training that will be provided is in the form of making questions using an online learning application. Teachers who take part in the training are expected to be able to motivate and evaluate students' ability to work on contextual questions even though they are carried out online.

Abstract

AbstrakLatar belakang penelitian adalah rendahnya kemampuan penalaran dan komunikasi matematis siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kemampuan penalaran dan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas XI MIA (Matematika dan Ilmu Alam) SMAN 1 Koto Salak Kabupaten Dharmasraya. Metode penelitian adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes, wawancara, dan observasi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI MIA SMAN 1 Koto Salak sebanyak 27 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kriteria kemampuan penalaran dan komunikasi matematis siswa sangat baik sebanyak 3 orang, baik sebanyak 6 orang, cukup sebanyak 7 orang, kurang sebanyak 9 orang, dan sangat kurang sebanyak 2 orang. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan penalaran dan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas XI MIA SMAN 1 Koto Salak dominan berada pada kriteria kurang baik.  AbstractThe background of the research is the low mathematical reasoning and communication skills of students. This study aims to assess the mathematical reasoning and communication skills of students of class XI in the Science program of Senior High School No 1 (SMAN 1) in Koto Salak, Dharmasraya Regency. The research method used was a descriptive study with a qualitative approach while the instruments used are in the form of tests, interviews, and observations, with 27 students as the research subjects. The results showed that the criteria of students’mathematical reasoning and communication skills as follows; very good as many as 3 people, good as many as 6 people, fairly good as many as 7 people, bad as many as 9 people, and very bad as many as 2 people. Therefore, it can be concluded that the mathematical reasoning and communication skills of students in class XI in the Science Program of Senior High School No. 1 Koto Salak are in poor criteria.

Abstract

This research was backgrounded by teaching materials used in the Private Ma mus Canduang, Agam Regency in the form of LKS and still unable to make students active in the learning process. This study aims to determine the practicality of the Student Worksheet (LKPD) based on a scientific approach to class XI matrix material. One of the materials that is difficult for students to understand is in matrix material. A common error is the wrongness of putting the matrix element. The research conducted was development research using the Plomp model which consisted of three stages, namelypreliminary research, prototyping phase, and assessment phase. This research was carried out until the prototyping phase, namely in practicality testing. The results of the LKPD validity test based on the scientific approach by the validator obtained a value of 86.8% with very valid criteria and the results of LKPD practicality based on a scientific approach obtained a value of 90.13% with very practical criteria. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that LKPD based on a scientific approach to the matrix material of class XI private MA students of MUS Canduang is very valid and very practical.Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh bahan ajar yang digunakan di MA Swasta MUS Canduang Kabupaten Agam yang berupa LKS dan masih belum dapat membuat siswa aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kepraktisan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis pendekatan saintifik pada materi matriks kelas XI. Salah satu materi yang sulit dipahami oleh siswa adalah pada materi matriks. Kesalahan yang umum terjadi yaitu salahnya meletakkan elemen matriks. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan  menggunakan model Plomp yang terdiri dari tiga tahapan yaitu preliminary research, prototyping phase, dan assessment phase. Penelitian ini dilakukan sampai tahapan prototyping phase, yaitu pada uji kepraktisan. Hasil uji validitas LKPD berbasis pendekatan saintifik oleh validator diperoleh nilai 86,8% dengan kriteria sangat valid serta hasil kepraktisan LKPD berbasis pendekatan saintifik diperoleh nilai 90,13% dengan kriteria sangat praktis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKPD berbasis pendekatan saintifik pada materi matriks kelas XI siswa MA swasta MUS Canduang sangat valid dan sangat praktis.

Abstract

The utilization of technology applications in classroom learning is limited to the use of power points. The use of PowerPoint media, especially in three-dimensional material, has a less attractive presentation. Graphic representations and three-dimensional images in the learning process are mostly still made manually. Training on the use of Geogebra software for mathematics teachers is one solution to overcome the problems that occur to increase the knowledge and skills of teachers in designing and making three-dimensional images. The training is held for three months once a week. The training was carried out using a guidance method that aims to train teachers of SMA Negeri 2 Padang to be able to create three-dimensional images by utilizing Geogebra software and be able to apply them in the learning process. The results obtained in this activity are all teachers who participate in this activity can use Geogebra software in learning mathematics. The use of Geogebra software can overcome existing problems so that its use can help students understand abstract material concepts. Students are also able to explore, and conduct investigations and searches using Geogebra software and can test more examples in a short time rather than just using the manual method. Students can also find, construct, conclude and finally understand how to describe the shape of space correctly.

Abstract

Hasil belajar matematika yang masih rendah menjadi latar belakangpenelitian ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruhpenerapan hasil belajar ranah kognitif siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 SungaiLimau Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitianeksperimen dengan desainnya Control-group post test only. Teknikpengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan random sampling.Hasil penemuan dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar ranahkognitif siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talkingstick memiliki nilai rata-rata 62,47 dan hasil belajar ranah kognitif siswayang diajarkan menggunakan model konvensional memiliki nilai rata-rata46,64. Hasil dari uji hipotesis menunjukkan dan dk = 47 diperolehthitung = 2,21 dan ttabel = 1,67. Karena thitung ttabel dapat disimpulkan bahwahasil belajar ranah kognitif siswa yang diajarkan menggunakan modelkooperatif tipe talking stick lebih baik daripada hasil belajar ranah kognitifsiswa yang diajarkan menggunakan model konvensional.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of the application of blended learning on the learning outcomes of class X MIA students at SMA PGRI 2 Padang. This study used a pre-experimental design in the form of a One-Shot Case Study by taking research subjects by Purposive Sampling. The sample of this research was the students of class X MIA. This study used descriptive questions as a final test instrument. The data analysis technique used in this research was a t-test. Based on the data collection techniques and data analysis carried out, it was obtained that tcount = 1.81 and ttable = 1.68, because tcount > ttable, then reject H0 at a significant level of 0.05 so it can be concluded that there is an effect of applying blended learning on studensts’ learning outcomes of class X MIA at SMA PGRI 2 Padang. Keywords: Blended Learning, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

The world of education is currently experiencing a very extraordinary event. The Covid-19 pandemic has a very broad impact on participants and educational institutions. Our education system must be ready to take the leap to transform online learning for all students and by all teachers. We are entering a new era to build creativity, hone student skills, and improve our quality with changes in systems, perspectives and patterns of our interactions with technology. Every individual who is in an educational environment must be able to use technology that can help the learning process, especially in schools. Likewise, with the implementation of teaching and learning at SMAN 3 Padang, the process of implementing learning in these schools currently cannot be carried out face-to-face in class as usual. Students take lessons from home. To find out the ability of teacher students, they must evaluate the learning that has been given. One of them is by giving the teacher online quizzes because face to face is no longer possible during the Covid 19 pandemic. Mathematics is one of the subjects considered difficult by students, especially for mastery of Olympic questions. For this reason, teachers are required to have creativity so that learning can be understood by students. Mathematics teachers are given training that supports this. The training that will be provided is in the form of making questions for quizzes which are carried out online. The students will solve these questions in accordance with the specified time. Teachers who take part in the training are expected to be able to motivate and evaluate students' ability to work on Olympic questions even though they are carried out online.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce an Android-based e-Module using Sigil software that is valid and practical for Class VIIA Data Presentation at SMP N 24 Padang that is valid and practical so that it can be used as a source of learning mathematics, especially data presentation material. The type of research used is development research. This research uses the Plomp model. The stages used in this development model are only stages 1 to stage 2, namely the initial investigation stage, the prototyping phase which concurrently tests the validity and practicality. The research instrument used is a validation questionnaire, a one-on-one test questionnaire that is useful for seeing the practicality of e-Modules by teachers, small group test questionnaires that are useful for seeing the practicality of e-Modules by students and interview guidelines. Based on the validator's assessment, the results of the validity of the Android-based e-Modul using the Sigil software were 90.33% with a very valid category. The final value of practicality with the teacher obtained a final score of 80% in the practical category. The final value of practicality with students was obtained 88.61% with a very practical category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Android-based e-Module using Sigil software in Data Presentation in class VIIA SMP N 24 Padang is valid and practical for use by teachers and students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang masih rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kumon pada siswa kelas IX.1 SMP Negeri 27 Padang. Jenis penelitian adalah penelian pre-eksperimen dengan desain the one-group pretest-posttest. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu purposive sampling, dengan subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IX.1. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal pre-test dan post-test berupa soal essay. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah  uji T dan N-Gain. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diketahui subjek berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh t_hitung=23,18 dan t_tabel=2,04 karena t_hitung>t_tabel sehingga hipotesis diterima. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa sesudah diterapkan model pembelajaran kumon lebih baik daripada kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa sebelum diterapkan model pembelajaran kumon pada kelas IX.1 SMP Negeri 27 Padang, sehingga terdapat peningkatan menggunakan nilai N-Gain adalah 0,82 kategori tinggi. Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep Matematis; Model Pembelajaran Kumon
