Abstract

Penyebaran batugamping secara geologi yang berada di bagian tengah Cekungan Limboto menjadi daya tarik untuk penelitian mengenai tipe, lingkungan dan sejarah proses diagenesis batugamping. Penelitian difokuskan di Daerah Buliide Kota Gorontalo  yang berada di bagian selatan Danau Limboto. Penelitian ini menjadi menarik karena baru pertama kali dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian ini ada tiga yakni mengetahui tipe diagenesis, lingkungan diagenesis dan sejarah proses diagenesis batugamping Buliide. Ketiga tujuan penelitian tersebut akan dicapai melalui dua metode penelitian yakni survei lapangan berupa analisis petrologi dan analisis laboratorium berupa analisis petrografi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan nama batugamping Buliide adalah coralline floatstone. Tipe proses diagenesis yang terjadi ada lima yakni sementasi, pelarutan, penggantian, mikritisasi dan rekristalisasi. Lingkungan diagenesa batugamping Buliide terdiri dari zona marine phreatic, zona vadose dan zona freshwater  phreatic. Sejarah proses diagenesis batugamping Buliide dapat dibagi menjadi tiga tahapan yakni tahapan pertama terjadi di zona marine phreatic, tahapan kedua zona freshwater phreatic dan tahapan ketiga zona vadose dengan tipe diagenesis berbeda-beda.

Abstract

The potential of reef limestone in Gorontalo Province is very large. The proof is in two research stations in Kelurhan Buli'ide and Tanjung Kramat Village. Research on the potential of reef limestone using two methods of analysis petrology and geochemistry of XRF. Based on the results of the research both stations have the name of the rock and the composition of the chemical compounds is different. The results of the study differ from previous studies. Differences are found in the composition of CaO compounds higher than 80%. The chemical composition of compounds in two research stations has the potential to be developed into industrial material. Use of reef limestone can be used as building stones, road stabilizers, agricultural lime, ceramic materials, water purification and the process of deposition of non-ferrous metal ores.

Abstract

Weathering is a natural process due to the work of exogenous forces both physically and chemically which results in the breakdown of rocks and constituent minerals into loose materials. Weathering can cause compact and resistant granite to move easily, causing rock fall in the Leato area, Gorontalo City. This study aims to assess the level of weathering of granite based on X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscope Analysis (SEM) analysis. The research objectives will be achieved using two methods consisting of field surveys and laboratory analysis in the form of XRD and SEM analysis. Based on the results and discussion that granite rocks have undergone weathering. Evidence of weathering is clearly shown in SEM photos, namely weathering occurs at the edges of granite rocks.

Abstract

The potential of limestone in Gorontalo City is not only the use of industrial minerals but also its availability as a reservoir of groundwater reservoirs. The availability of groundwater is the main focus in preserving the environment. For this reason, this research focuses on the quality of limestone reservoirs by analyzing limestone porosity. The purpose of this study was to determine the average porosity percentage, porosity type and porosity quality both semi-quantitative and qualitative. In order to achieve these objectives, two methods are used namely the field survey method and petrographic analysis. The results showed the average percentage of porosity quality of limestone as a reservoir of groundwater in the excellent category with the type of porosity is fracturing and growing (vugular).

Abstract

DAS Alo terletak di Kecamatan Tibawa Kabupaten Gorontalo Provinsi Gorontalo. DAS Alo memiliki ketinggian antara 50 m di atas permukaan laut di bagian hilir dan 475 m di atas permukaan laut di bagian hulu. Hulu DAS Alo merupakan perbukitan – pegunungan struktural di bagian utara dan barat laut dengan kemiringan lereng yang berkisar antara 15 - 40 persen.  Di bagian selatan (hilir) di dominasi oleh bentuklahan asal solusional yaitu perbukitan karst. Karakteristik DAS Alo terdiri dari luas DAS mencapai  69.736.900 m2, panjang sungai utama 21.160.422 meter dan kemiringan sungai 2,21%. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah menganalisis kemampuan dan kesesuaian lahan di DAS Alo Provinsi Gorontalo. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut digunakan metode survei lapangan dan analisis laboratorium sampel tanah. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kemampuan lahan dan kesesuaian lahan dipengaruhi oleh karakteristik Biogeofisik lahan di DAS Alo. Satuan bentuklahan perbukitan denudasional berbatu breksi memiliki kelas kemampuan lahan I, III, IV dan VI. Perbukitan struktural berbatuan breksi memiliki kelas kemampuan lahan I, II, III, IV, V dan VI. Perbukitan struktural berbatuan diorit, kelas kemampuan lahannya II, III, IV, V dan VI. Perbukitan karst kelas kemampuan lahannya III dan VIII dengan faktor pembatas lereng permukaan sedangkan kelas kemampuan lahan VII tidak dijumpai. Kelas kesesuaian lahan pertanian jagung pada kelas kesesuaian lahan S3, kelas kesesuaian lahan N1 (tidak sesuai saat ini) dan kelas kesesuaian lahan N2 (tidak sesuai selamanya). Sedangkan untuk kelas kesesuaian lahan S1 (sangat sesuai) dan kelas kesesuaian lahan S2 (cukup sesuai) tidak dijumpai di DAS Alo. Kata kunci: DAS Alo, Kemampuan Lahan, Kesesuaian Lahan.  Alo Watershed is located in Tibawa Sub-District, Gorontalo Regency, Gorontalo Province. The Alo watershed has a height of between 50 m above sea level in the downstream and 475 m above the sea level in the upper reaches. The upper Alo watershed is a structural hill - mountain range in the north and northwest with a slope ranging from 15 - 40 percent. In the south (downstream) is dominated by the form of land from the original solution, the karst hills. The characteristics of the Alo Watershed consist of an area of 69,736,900 m2, a main river length of 21,160,422 meters and a river slope of 2.21%. The main objective of this study is to analyze the ability and suitability of land in the Gorontalo Province Alo Watershed. To achieve this goal field survey methods and laboratory analysis of soil samples are used. The results showed that land capability and land suitability were affected by biogeophysical characteristics of land in the Alo watershed. Unit shape den denational hills breccia rocky has a land capability class I, III, IV and VI. The rocky structural breccias hills have land capability classes I, II, III, IV, V and VI. Diorite rocky structural hills, land capability classes II, III, IV, V and VI. Karst hills are land capability classes III and VIII with surface slope limiting factors while land capability class VII is not found. Corn land suitability class in S3 land suitability class, land suitability class N1 (not suitable at present) and land suitability class N2 (not suitable forever). As for the S1 land suitability class (very suitable) and S2 land suitability class (quite suitable) not found in the Alo watershed. Keywords: Alo Watershed, Land Capability, Land Suitability.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian mengetahui posisi kedalaman muka air tanah dari muka air laut dan mengetahui kualitas air tanah berdasarkan parameter fisika dan kimia. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan terbagi menjadi dua yakni metode survei lapangan dan analisis laboratorium. Hasil analisis menunjukkan perbandingan hasil pengamatan parameter fisika air (warna, bau dan rasa) dari dua tahap menunjukkan 18 sumur atau 36% yang berubah secara fisika. Analisis laboratorium untuk parameter kimia pada sampel air sumur nomor 15 memenuhi syarat untuk air minum baik kandungan arsen, besi maupun nitrat. Pemanfaatan air tanah di 50 sumur warga dominan dipakai kebutuhan sehari-hari yakni untuk air minum dan MCK sebanyak 34 sumur atau 68%. Berdasarkan model pola aliran air tanah diketahui ada enam titik cekungan rendah ditandai berwarna biru (ketinggian muka air tanah 1-5 meter).  Kata kunci: Air Tanah, Kualitas, Sipatana.  The purpose of the research is to know the position of the depth of the groundwater from the sea level and to know the quality of groundwater based on physical and chemical parameters. The research method carried out is divided into two, namely the field survey method and laboratory analysis. The results of the analysis showed a comparison of the results of observations of water physics parameters (color, smell and taste) from the two stages showing 18 wells or 36% which changed physically. Laboratory analysis for chemical parameters in number 15 well water samples meets the requirements for drinking water both in arsenic, iron and nitrate content. Daily use of ground water in 50 wells of dominant citizens is used for drinking water and MCK as many as 34 wells or 68%. Based on the model of groundwater flow patterns it is known that there are six low basin points marked in blue (1-5 meters groundwater level). Keywords: Groundwater, Quality, Sipatana.

Abstract

Lokasi penelitian berada di Sungai Tohupo Kecamatan Bongomeme Kabupaten Gorontalo. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kualitas fosil kayu berdasarkan analisis petrografi dan membandingkannya terhadap hasil analisis geokimia XRD dan XRF. Material penelitian berupa lima sampel fosil kayu. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah survei lapangan dan analisis petrografi terhadap sampel fosil kayu baik fosil kayu institu maupun transported.  Hasil penelitian menunjukan geomorfologi daerah penelitian adalah dataran fluvial dengan tingkat stadia sungai dewasa. Hasil analisis petrografi pada sampel fosil kayu menunjukan komposisi terdiri dari wood cells replaced by silica, chalcedony dan mineral opak. Perbandingan hasil analisis petrografi terhadap hasil analisis geokimia XRD dan XRF memperlihatkan kualitas material yang sama, yaitu didominasi oleh mineral silika. Genesis fosil kayu merupakan hasil rekristalisasi silika terhadap kayu pada Formasi Gunungapi Pinogu. Kata kunci: Fosil Kayu, Tohupo, Petrografi, XRD, XRF.

Abstract

Penelitian batugamping di Cekungan Limboto tepatnya di daerah Limboto Barat Kabupaten Gorontalo sangat menarik diteliti. Penyebaran batugamping di bagian tengah danau jelas menunjukkan kompleksitasi geologi daerah penelitian. Limboto Barat yang saat ini merupakan bagian dari danau air tawar jelas menarik diteliti mengingat keberadaan batugamping yang mengandung fosil foraminifera merupakan makluk hidup yang berasal dari laut. Untuk itu tujuan penelitian ini membuktikan sekaligus menganalisis lingkungan purba batugamping daerah Limboto Barat pada jutaan tahun lalu. Tujuan penelitian tersebut akan dicapai menggunakan dua metode yakni survei lapangan dan analisis laboratorium berupa analisis biostratigrafi. Berdasarkan hasil dan diskusi dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat tujuh spesies fosil foraminifera bentonik dengan lingkungan purbanya adalah brackish lagoons and estuaries.

Abstract

The research location is in Gorontalo City. The location is an area that has geological structural conditions of high complexity. The study used statistical analysis of the robustness data to determine the direction of the firmness and the RQD (rock quality designation) value. The research objectives consist of two, namely knowing the direction of the stress (the main force of tectonic formation) and knowing the RQD value based on the analysis of joint data. To achieve these two objectives, it is carried out with a research method in the form of an inductive method. This method combines the results of a literature review, previous research and field data, all of which are comprehensively studied, analyzed, and synthesized. Statistical analysis (fan diagram) on joint data on granite rocks in Gorontalo City. The results and discussion resulted in the direction of maximum stress (τ1) = N 15oE and the direction of minimum stress (τ3) = N 75oW. The rock RQD value is 40.60% so that the rock quality in this research area is classified as moderate. The results of the measurement of the joint spacing at this station are obtained from a distance of (5-10) cm, so it is included in the weak scale so that the joint space strongly supports the occurrence of landslides.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has a high level of disaster risk. Community preparedness efforts, especially for children, are still lacking, marked by the number of victims of natural disasters which is still very high, with this effort increasing knowledge about disaster mitigation is still very important for the community. This service aims to increase public knowledge, especially students, about disaster mitigation efforts, through outreach activities in several schools. The results of the service show that the level of student knowledge about disaster mitigation is still very lacking and needs to be improved. It is hoped that further actions such as maintenance and supervision as control with the aim of these activities have optimal results to increase students' knowledge about disaster mitigation and the realization of disaster resilient schools.
