Abstract

Regionally, intrusive rocks are quite widespread in the study area, belonging to the Diorite Bone (Tmb) formation. The formation is composed of Diorite, Quartz Diorite, Granodiorite and Adamellite. This study aims to determine the condition of lithology, geological structure and geomorphology. The method used in this research is expolrative, namely obtaining data directly from the field and then analyzing petrology and petrography laboratories. The geomorphology of the study area is divided into 2 geomorphological units, namely; intrusion hills and alluvial plain units. The study area is unofficially divided into three rock units when sorted from oldest to youngest, namely: Diorite rock unit, Granodiorite unit (Middle-Late Miocene), and alluvial sediment unit (Holocene). The geological structure of the study area consists of tensile bridging with a southwest - northeast direction.

Abstract

Gorontalo is one of the provinces with significant limestone potential, particularly in the industrial sector. This study aims to identify the quality of limestone found in the Pilolodaa area and its surroundings. The methods used in this research include petrography to determine the limestone facies and XRF analysis to identify the mineral composition of the rocks. The study area consists of lithologies such as floatstone limestone facies, carbonate sandstone, and alluvial units. The floatstone limestone has a CaO composition greater than 50% and MgO less than 2%, making it highly potential for industrial applications.

Abstract

Administratively, the research location is in Pilobuhuta Village, Batudaa District, Gorontalo Regency, with an area of 4.8 KM². Limestone is a sedimentary rock formed from calcium carbonate deposits. These rocks are often found in various areas, including in Pilobuhuta Village, Batudaa District, Gorontalo Regency. The Pilobuhuta area has unique geological conditions, with hills that have the potential to be a location for limestone formation. Research on the characteristics of limestone in this area to identify the mineral composition, structure, and texture of existing rocks, as well as to determine the porosity value of limestone in this area. The aim of this research is to map the geological conditions of the Pilobuhuta area and its surroundings, analyze the characteristics of limestone, and analyze the porosity value of limestone in the research area. The research method used is surface geological mapping and porosity analysis in the form of petrographic analysis and specific gravity analysis. The research results show that the research area consists of four limestone facies units, namely mudstone facies, wackestone facies, packstone facies, and grainstone facies. The geomorphological units in this area are divided into two land forms, namely alluvial lowland units and denudational hills. The porosity value of the limestone in the research area ranges from fair to very good. The porosity value in the mudstone facies is in the fair category, the wackestone facies is in the good category, the packstone facies is in the very good category, and the grainstone facies is in the fair category.

Abstract

The research was conducted in Pancakarsa II Village, Taluditi Subdistrict, Pohuwato Regency. The Objective of this study is to determine the distribution and characteristics of sandstone in the research area. The method employed includes surface geological mapping to identify the geological conditions of the area and comprises alluvial plain units, pyroclastic flow hill units, and denudational hill units. The stratigraphy, arranged from oldest, to youngest, consists of the Gravel Sandstone unit, the Sandstone unit, the Muddy Sandstone unit, and the Pyroclastic Breccia unit. Geological structures were analyzed using lineament analysis, revealing a predominant northeast-southwest structural orientation.the sandstone distribution in the study area shows that the Gravel Sandstone unit occupies approximately 14%, the Sandstone unit is 19%, and the Muddy Sandstone unit is 17%. Petrographic analysis based on mineral composition percentages indicates that sample ST1 is classified as Lithic Arenite, while samples ST7 and ST29 are classified as Lithic Greywacke.

Abstract

The research location is in the Dulukapa Area, East Sumalata District, North Gontalo Regency. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of Dulukapa Formation sandstone based on petrographic analysis. The research methods used are geological mapping and petrographic laboratory analysis. The results of the study indicate that the distribution of Dolokapa formation sandstone in the Dulukapa area is spread from west to east of Dulukapa Village. The type of sandstone is classified based on the results of gravel, sand, and clay calculations, namely Gravel Sandstone, Sandstone, and Muddy Sandstone. The results of the petrographic analysis indicate that the type of sandstone consists of Lithic Arenite and Lithic Graywacke.

Abstract

Penelitian ini yaitu memetakan kondisi geologi, Metode penelitian yang digunakan berupa survei geologi, dan melakukan analisis petrografi. Hasil yang didapatkan berupa kondisi geomorfologi daerah penelitian terdapat tiga satuan yaitu perbukitan denudasional, satuan perbukitan vulkanik, dan satuan dataran alluvial. Stratigrafi daerah penelitian terdiri dari empat satuan yaitu Conglomeratic SandStone, SandStone, Muddy SanStone, dan Tuff. Struktur geologi dilakukan analisis liniament yang menghasilkan arah umum timur laut – Barat Daya. Jenis batupasir diklasifikasikan berdasarkan Penghitungan jumlah mineral quarsa, feldspar, dan fragmen batuan yaitu Conglomeratic SandStone, SandStone, Muddy SanStone. Hasil analisis petrografi menunjukkan jenis batupasir Greywacke. Sebaran batupasir pada lokasi penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Conglomeratic SandStone menempati sekitar 24%, SandStone menempati sekitar 21%, dan Muddy SanStone menempati sekitar 32%.

Abstract

Mineralisasi merupakan proses penggantian unsur-unsur tertentu dalam mineral yang terdapat pada batuan dinding oleh unsur-unsur lain yang berasal dari larutan, sehingga mineral tersebut menjadi lebih stabil. Proses ini terjadi akibat adanya larutan hidrotermal yang mengalir dan mengisi porositas batuan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis karakteristik mineralisasi yang berkembang di daerah penelitian. Lokasi penelitian terletak di Desa Hulawa, Kecamatan Buntulia, Kabupaten Pohuwato, Provinsi Gorontalo, yang juga berada di dalam area Izin Usaha Pertambangan (IUP) PT. Puncak Emas Tani Sejahtera dan area Kontrak Karya PT. Gorontalo Sejahtera Mining, dengan luas cakupan sekitar 1,84 km². Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis mineragrafi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa daerah penelitian memiliki tiga satuan litologi utama, yaitu riodasit autobreksia, riodasit porfiritik banded, riodasit porfiritik, dan tuf yang berumur Pliosen. Struktur geologi yang mengontrol daerah penelitian terdiri dari sesar normal left-slip fault dan left-slip fault, dengan pola kekar berarah Timur Laut – Barat Daya dan Barat Laut – Tenggara. Mineralisasi di daerah penelitian umumnya terendapkan pada urat kuarsa oksida, breksi hidrotermal, dan diseminasi mineral, dengan litologi riodasit sebagai batuan induk mineralisasi. Berdasarkan analisis mineragrafi, mineralisasi yang ditemukan meliputi elektrum, argentit, pirit, kalkopirit, kalkostibit, kovelit, galena, dan sfalerit, yang umumnya memiliki tekstur intergrowth, diseminasi, dan replacement. Dari hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa daerah penelitian merupakan endapan epitermal tipe sulfida rendah. Kata kunci: Mineralisasi, epitermal sulfida rendah, Hulawa

Abstract

The research area is in Block O Bunta Region, Banggai Regency. The research area includes areas with laterite nickel deposits in Central Sulawesi Province. Based on the Luwuk Sheet Geological Map, the Bunta area is included in the Ku Formation (Ultramafic Complex) composed of serpentinite, gabbro, basalt, and schist rocks. The aim of this study was to analyze the characteristics of laterite nickel deposits in Block O, Bunta Region, Banggai Regency. To achieve this goal, several research methods were carried out, namely field geological survey methods and laboratory analysis. The field geological survey includes detailed geological mapping and coring drilling data collection. The field geological survey includes observations of rocks and geomorphology of the study area. Meanwhile, laboratory analysis includes coring data analysis. The total drilling samples analyzed came from 40 drill points. The results and discussion show that the geomorphology of the study area is classified into denudational hill units. The lithology in the study area based on the analysis results is serpentinized peridotite. The characteristics of nickel laterite deposits in the study area consist of limonite and saprolite zones. The limote zone has a characteristic reddish brown color dominated by hematite minerals and yellowish brown dominated by goethith minerals. While the saprolite zone is dominated by a greenish-yellow color with its constituent minerals namely serpentine, goethith, silica.

Abstract

The largest village in Buntulia District is Hulawa Village with an area of 39,512.21 km2 or around 90.95 percent of the total area of the sub-district. Hulawa Village has a rich and diverse history. Historically, the development of Hulawa Village was also influenced by the political and social dynamics in Gorontalo. The purpose of the environmental service activities carried out by KKN MBKM is to explain the implementation of the KKN community service program in Hulawa Village. The service program in question includes two environmental care programs, namely the clean Friday program and community service. To achieve these goals in implementing their activities, students use three stages of implementation procedures consisting of the preparation stage, the implementation stage and the final stage, namely finishing. The results of the implementation of the service from the two environmental care programs in Hulawa Village ran smoothly and successfully with 100% achievement because community involvement was very large. Both programs that were implemented directly provided environmental cleanliness benefits.

Abstract

Botubarani Village has great potential for geosite development in the Tomini Bay area, through community empowerment efforts, it is hoped that the Botubarani Village community can become an active part in the geosite development process in the Tomini Bay area. The method of implementing KKN MBKM to build villages starts from technical briefing to work program action. Students focus on field observations and interviews, in addition there are mandatory programs and community empowerment programs. The results of the mapping activities carried out produce an output in the form of maps. The results of the community empowerment program are carried out by fixing all damaged geosite infrastructure, as well as socializing to the community about tourism management. This activity involves personnel from the Botubarani Village community who have been actively involved in various stages of geosite development, from potential identification, planning, to promotion. Their participation proves that community empowerment is the main key to success in sustainable geosite development. Hopefully, it can create a broad positive impact on the community, the environment, and sustainable development in general.
