Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti apakah terdapat hubungan antara emosi positif dengan perilaku online impulsive uying pada mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi di Universitas Ptima Indonesia. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 167 mahasiswa/i yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling dengan karakteristik yaitu mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Prima Indonesia semester 2 sampai 4 yang melakukan pembelanjaan online melalui e-commerce di platform Shopee. Data dikumpulkan dengan skala online impulsive buying dan skala emosi positif yang disusun dengan skala likert. Analisis data menggunakan Pearson Product Moment menunjukkan korelasi positif sebesar 0.717 (sig. 0.000) yang menunjukkan kekuatan hubungan kuat, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi emosi positif maka semakin tinggi pula tingkat online impulsive buying dan begitu juga sebaliknya, semakin rendah emosi positif maka semakin rendah pula tingkat online impulsive buying yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini untuk melihat hubungan antara Regulasi Diri dengan Impulsive Buying pada generasi Z dalam memakai pinjaman online. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 120 responden yang bekerja di CV. Continent Ban Gatot Subroto. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan skala Likert untuk mengukur Regulasi Diri dan Impulsive Buying. Hasil analisis Pearson Product Moment menunjukkan adanya hubungan negatif signifikan (r = -0.777, p 0.05). Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi Regulasi Diri, semakin rendah tingkat Impulsive Buying, dan sebaliknya. Regulasi Diri memberikan kontribusi sebesar 60.4% terhadap perilaku Impulsive Buying, sementara 39.6% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan penting tentang pengaruh Regulasi Diri dalam mengurangi perilaku konsumtif pada generasi Z, khususnya dalam konteks penggunaan pinjaman online.

Abstract

Pengembangan literasi merupakan elemen kunci dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan, terutama dalam membentuk generasi yang cerdas, kritis, dan adaptif terhadap perubahan zaman. Gerakan Literasi Sekolah menjadi strategi efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan membaca, minat baca, serta hasil belajar siswa secara terstruktur dan berkelanjutan. Kegiatan pengabdian dosen di Sekolah Swasta Rahayu Jasa Makmur, Kecamatan Sei Lepan, Kabupaten Langkat, dilaksanakan sebagai respon atas keterbatasan yang dihadapi sekolah dalam membangun budaya literasi. Melalui program ini, dilakukan peningkatan kapasitas guru, implementasi strategi literasi yang relevan, dan penguatan kolaborasi antara sekolah, perguruan tinggi, dan masyarakat. Hasil dari kegiatan ini diharapkan mampu mentransformasi proses pembelajaran menjadi lebih aktif, kreatif, dan menyenangkan, serta membangun ekosistem pendidikan yang inklusif dan berkualitas. Dampak jangka panjangnya adalah terbentuknya generasi muda yang tidak hanya unggul secara akademis, tetapi juga kompeten secara global dan berkontribusi dalam pembangunan daerah.

Abstract

A thesis is a final assignment that must be written by students to complete their study program. In writing a thesis, many students experience anxiety, both during guidance and when faced with the repeated revision process. Excessive anxiety can prevent students from completing their thesis on time. One factor that causes anxiety is students' emotional regulation. With good emotional regulation, students can overcome their anxiety appropriately. The purpose of this study was to assess the relationship between anxiety and emotional regulation in students who are writing a thesis. The hypothesis is "there is a negative relationship between emotional regulation and anxiety in students of the Faculty of Medicine, Islamic University of North Sumatra who are writing a thesis." The subjects of this study were 93 individual students who were writing a thesis at the Faculty of Medicine, Islamic University of North Sumatra, using a total sampling technique . The method used in this study was a quantitative method, data were collected using an emotional regulation and anxiety scale. The calculation applies the analysis prerequisite test, which includes the normality test and linearity test, as well as data analysis using Spearman correlation through the IBM SPSS Statistics 25 application , obtaining data analysis results showing a correlation coefficient value of r = -0.502 with p = 0.000 (p <0.05), which means that the higher the student's regulatory ability, the lower the level of anxiety experienced by the student, and vice versa, the lower the student's emotional regulation ability, the higher the level of anxiety experienced by the student.

Abstract

The absence of a father figure, often termed fatherlessness, has profound implications for adolescent psychological development, particularly in the regulation and expression of emotion. This qualitative study aims to explore how fatherless adolescent boys regulate their emotions and derive meaning from their experiences of paternal absence. Three male participants aged 18–22 who had experienced fatherlessness due to death or parental separation were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using semi-structured interviews and analyzed using reflexive thematic analysis as proposed by Braun and Clarke. The analysis identified four core themes: (1) Negative Emotions Due to Father Absence, including sadness, social comparison, and emotional instability; (2) Emotion Regulation through Avoidance and Distraction, such as engaging in sports, digital entertainment, and isolation; (3) Emotional Expression and Maladaptive Coping, including substance use, aggression, and spiritual reflection; and (4) Meaning-Making and Identity Reconstruction, in which participants described increased independence, self-reliance, and the aspiration to be a source of pride for their remaining parent, typically the mother. The findings reveal that while fatherless adolescents exhibit emotional vulnerability, they also show potential for resilience and post-traumatic growth when supported by meaningful relationships and personal coping mechanisms. It is recommended that psychological interventions for fatherless youth include emotion-focused therapy, cognitive restructuring, and mentorship programs to foster positive male identity development and emotional well-being.

Abstract

Father involvement in parenting plays a crucial role in influencing adolescent emotion regulation, which is a key factor in children's psychological development. The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between paternal involvement and emotional regulation in female adolescents at SMKN 6 Medan. The research used a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The sample consisted of 231 female students from grades X, XI, and XII, selected randomly. Data were collected using questionnaires on emotional regulation and paternal involvement, and analyzed using Pearson correlation techniques. The results showed a significant positive correlation between paternal involvement and emotional regulation in female adolescents (r = 0.440, p < 0.05). The higher the paternal involvement, the better the students' ability to manage their emotions. The implications of this research suggest that paternal involvement plays a crucial role in adolescents' emotional development, and programs that encourage paternal involvement in parenting and education are expected to enhance adolescents' emotional regulation, preparing them to better face life's challenges.Keterlibatan ayah dalam pengasuhan memiliki peran penting dalam mempengaruhi regulasi emosi remaja, yang menjadi faktor krusial dalam perkembangan psikologis anak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara keterlibatan ayah dan regulasi emosi pada remaja perempuan di SMKN 6 Medan. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 231 siswi kelas X, XI, dan XII yang dipilih secara acak. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner tentang regulasi emosi dan keterlibatan ayah, serta dianalisis dengan teknik korelasi Pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara keterlibatan ayah dan regulasi emosi pada remaja perempuan (r = 0.440, p < 0.05). Semakin tinggi keterlibatan ayah, semakin tinggi kemampuan siswi dalam mengelola emosi mereka. Implikasi penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keterlibatan ayah berperan penting dalam perkembangan emosional remaja, dan program yang mendorong keterlibatan ayah dalam pengasuhan dan pendidikan anak diharapkan dapat meningkatkan regulasi emosi remaja, mempersiapkan mereka untuk menghadapi tantangan hidup dengan lebih baik.

Abstract

Mental health and learning motivation are two very important factors in higher education, as both directly impact academic achievement and student well-being. High learning motivation can help students stay more focused and committed to their studies, while good mental health supports their ability to manage stress and academic challenges. Although many studies discuss these two factors separately, few have examined the relationship between learning motivation and mental health, especially in students who work while studying. This study aims to identify the relationship between learning motivation and mental health among students at the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Prima Indonesia, who are also working while attending classes. Using a quantitative approach with Pearson's correlation technique, this study involved 146 students as the sample. The results show a significant positive relationship between learning motivation and students' mental health, with a correlation value of 0.746 and a significance of p = 0.000, meaning that the higher a student's motivation to learn, the better their mental health. These findings highlight the importance of learning motivation in supporting students' psychological well-being. Educational institutions can develop programs that support the enhancement of both learning motivation and students' mental health, particularly for those who work while studying, to help them effectively cope with academic and personal challenges.Kesehatan mental dan motivasi belajar adalah dua faktor yang sangat penting dalam dunia pendidikan tinggi, karena keduanya berpengaruh langsung terhadap prestasi akademik dan kesejahteraan mahasiswa. Motivasi belajar yang tinggi dapat membantu mahasiswa untuk lebih fokus dan berkomitmen terhadap studi individu, sementara kesehatan mental yang baik mendukung kemampuan individu dalam mengelola stres dan tantangan akademik. Meskipun banyak penelitian yang membahas keduanya secara terpisah, belum banyak yang mengkaji hubungan antara motivasi belajar dan kesehatan mental, terutama pada mahasiswa yang bekerja sambil kuliah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan antara motivasi belajar dan kesehatan mental pada mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Prima Indonesia yang menjalani perkuliahan sambil bekerja. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik korelasi Pearson, penelitian ini melibatkan 146 mahasiswa sebagai sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara motivasi belajar dan kesehatan mental mahasiswa, dengan nilai korelasi sebesar 0.746 dan signifikansi p = 0.000, yang berarti semakin tinggi motivasi belajar seorang mahasiswa, semakin baik pula kesehatan mental individu. Temuan ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya motivasi belajar dalam mendukung kesejahteraan psikologis mahasiswa. Lembaga pendidikan dapat mengembangkan program yang mendukung peningkatan motivasi belajar serta kesehatan mental mahasiswa, terutama bagi individu yang bekerja sambil kuliah, guna membantu individu mengatasi tantangan akademik dan kehidupan pribadi secara lebih efektif.

Abstract

Regulasi emosi merupakan faktor penting dalam kehidupan manusia. Mengontrol dan mengolah emosi negatif menjadi emosi positif akan memberikan banyak keuntungan bagi diri sendiri maupun orang lain. Oleh karena itu, setiap orang perlu meregulasi emosinya, termasuk seorang shadow teacher. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses regulasi emosi yang dialami oleh shadow teacher dalam menangani anak autis. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 3 orang, dengan ciri-ciri perempuan yang bekerja sebagai guru bayangan di TK Maitreyawira Deli Serdang dengan rentang usia 23-26 tahun. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketiga subjek penelitian mengalami emosi seperti sedih, kesal, dan marah. kemudian meregulasi emosi dengan melakukan berbagai aktivitas seperti keluar dari kelas untuk menenangkan diri, mendiamkan anak autis yang ditanganinya, serta menangis di hadapan anak autis tersebut.

Abstract

This study reviews the description of emotional regulation in early adult victims of infidelity in the dating period. This type of research is phenomenological qualitative research using interview techniques. The subjects of this study amounted to 4 people, who were obtained using purposive sampling technique. The characteristics of the research subjects are individuals with an early adult age range of 18-25 years, have experienced infidelity and live in Binjai, North Sumatra. The results of this study indicate that the four subjects experienced different emotions and emotional regulation during and after infidelity. When experiencing infidelity, the emotions felt by the subjects were anger, upset, sadness, heartache and disappointment. After experiencing infidelity, there were several other emotional reactions felt by the subject such as sadness, disappointment, annoyance, anger, frustration, despair, aggression, hatred, disgust and desire for revenge. In addition, the subject also felt positive emotions such as comforted, happy, satisfied, relieved, optimistic, enthusiastic, enthusiastic, accepting and grateful, but these positive emotional reactions did not appear as much as negative emotions. Emotion regulation is carried out through 5 stages, namely situation selection, situation modification, attention deployment, cognitive change, and response modulation. In addition, this study also shows that the subject's emotion regulation ability is influenced by social support, gender, self-concept, parenting and attachment style with the mother. Emotion regulation ability can be improved by self-talk and journaling. .

Abstract

Sindrom Down memiliki keterlambatan dalam hal kemandirian, salah satunya adalah mengancing baju. Mengancing baju merupakan kegiatan sehari-hari yang tidak dapat dihindari. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan memakai baju berkancing melalui penerapan rantai perilaku (behavior chains) dengan teknik forward chaining (penetapan urutan perlakuan mulai dari awal hingga target perilaku tercapai) pada anak sindrom Down di SLB-C di kota Medan). Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah empat orang anak sindrom Down (7 – 12 tahun) yang belum mampu mengancing baju secara mandiri. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian eksperimen Small-N desain ABA. Pengaruh sebelum dan setelah diberikan intervensi diukur dengan menggunakan bantuan (prompt) sebagai dasar penilaian. Analisis keberhasilan efektivitas program menggunakan perbandingan data yang diperoleh dari hasil penilaian awal, intervensi, dan tindak lanjut. Terapi ini diberikan sebanyak 13 sesi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa empat anak tersebut mampu untuk mengancing baju dengan menggunakan teknik forward chaining dari metode rantai perilaku. Setelah diberikan intervensi, maka terjadi peningkatan keterampilan memakai baju berkancing. Indikator dari peningkatan tersebut adalah dua anak mampu untuk mengancing baju tanpa bantuan dan dua anak lainnya mampu mengancing baju dengan sedikit bantuan instruksi secara verbal. Dengan demikian, hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa rantai perilaku dengan teknik forward chaining mampu meningkatkan keterampilan memakai baju berkancing pada anak sindrom Down.Kata Kunci: keterampilan, mengancing baju, rantai perilaku, sindrom DownBehavior Chains to Improve The Skill of Wearing Buttoned Clothes in Down Syndrome ChildrenAbstract. Down syndrome has a delay in terms of independence. one of which is buttoning a shirt. Buttoning of clothes is a daily activity which cannot be avoided. Therefore the purpose of this study is to improve the skills to wear buttoned clothes through the application of behavior chains in children with Down syndrome at SLB-C Medan. The subjects of this study were four children with Down syndrome (7 – 12 years) who have not been able to button his clothes. This study was used the ABA small-N experimental design. The effect of before-after intervention measured by using “prompt” as basis of assessment. The analysis of program effectiveness based on comparison obtained from baseline, intervention, and follow up. A therapy was given in 13 sessions. The results showed that the four children were able to button their clothes using the forward chaining technique (sequential steps for achieving targeted behavior) from the behavior chains method. After the intervention was given, there was an increase in the skills to wear buttoned clothes, where two children were able to button clothes without prompt and the other two children were able to button clothes with a verbal prompt. Therefore, the results of this study prove that behavior chains with forward chaining technique can improve the skill of wearing buttoned clothes for children with Down syndrome.Keywords: behavior chains, buttoning clothes, down syndrome, skillsArticle History:Received 5 November 2019Revised 1 February 2020Accepted 20 February 2020
