Abstract

Introduction: The most common malignancy that is diagnosed in children is acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Undernourished children tend to have poorer long term survival. This descriptive analytic study is aimed towards analyzing the correlation between nutritional status at diagnosis and outcomes of induction phase therapy in childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia at the Department of Pediatrics Dr. Soetomo General Hospital Surabaya in 2014.Methods: A cross-sectional method using the medical records of patients is used in this study. The nutritional statuses of patients are calculated using weight for length/height trough curves of WHO 2006 or CDC 2000.Results: The results show that from 45 children diagnosed with ALL, 53% are of the age ≤ 5 years old, with 58% males and 42% females. 13% of the patients are in the high risk group and 87% are in the standard risk group. Nutritional statuses of patients are 2% of them obese experienced remission after induction phase therapy, 56% normal with 80% of them experienced remission. 40% underweight with 89% of them experienced remission and 11% not experienced remission, 2% malnutrition and experienced remission. There is no correlation between the nutritional status of children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia with the outcome of induction phase (p = 0.798).Conclusion: In conclusion, there is no correlation between nutritional status and remission outcome of patients with ALL in the induction phase of therapy. However, high percentage of underweight patients shows nutrition needs special attention to improve therapy outcomes.

Abstract

Bayi berat lahir rendah (BBLR) adalah berat lahir kurang 2500 gram tanpa memandang umur kehamilan. Penyebab BBLR multifaktoral, faktor ibu yang berpengaruh secara dominan mengenai pemenuhan nutrisi/ asupan gizi. Faktor plasenta yang berguna untuk menyalurkan makanan dan pembentukan hormon.Tujuan penelitian menganalisis hubungan antara faktor-faktor yang berhubungan antara status gizi dengan berat plasenta pada ibu yang melahirkan BBLR. Status gizi ibu hamil meliputi penambahan berat badan, ukuran LiLA, kadar Hb awal dan kadar Hb inpartu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah observasional deskriftif dengan pendekatan cross sectional study. Hasil penelitian nilai π = 0,097, nilai ρ = 0,360 ukuran LiLA, nilai ρ = 0,394 kadar Hb awal dan nilai ρ = 0,100 pada kadar Hb inpartu dengan berat plasenta pada ibu yang melahirkan BBLR. Dari hasil kekuatan hubungan, yang paling kuat adalah ukuran LiLA dan kadar Hb awal, artinya pentingnya status gizi di awal kehamilan, karena pada trimester pertama kehamilan adalah proses pembentukan organ vital janin dan plasenta. Petugas kesehatan melakukan pengukuran berat plasenta, nasehat makan makanan bergizi. Penelitian lebih lanjut tentang berat plasenta antara persalinan aterm dan preterm pada BBLR. Kata kunci : Status Gizi, Berat Plasenta, BBLR, Pertambahan Berat Badan, ukuran LiLA, Kadar Hb Awal dan Kadar hb Inpartu

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) berbasis etnosains untuk meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi zat aditif. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan 4D namun tahap penyebaran (disseminate) tidak dilakukan. Subjek dari penelitian ini terdiri dari 30 siswa kelas VIII-A MTsN Gresik. Keefektifan dari RPP etnosains yang dikembangkan diperoleh berdasarkan uji N-Gain score peningkatan minat belajar siswa dan N-Gain score dari pretest dan posttest hasil belajar pada aspek pengetahuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata N-Gain peningkatan minat siswa sebesar 0,74 pada kategori tinggi dan peningkatan hasil belajar pada aspek pengetahuan diperoleh rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,70 dengan kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa RPP berbasis etnosains yang dikembangkan efektif dalam meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi zat aditif. Kata Kunci: Efektivitas, Etnosains, Minat, Hasil Belajar This purpose of this research is describing the effectiveness of the Lesson Plan (RPP) based on ethnoscience to increase students interest dan learning outcomes in additive topic. The type of this research is 4D development research but the dissemination phase is not carried out. The subjects of this research consisted of 30 students of VIII-A class MTsN Gresik. The effectiveness of the developed ethnoscience RPP was obtained based on the N-Gain score test of increasing student interest in learning and also by the N-Gain score from the pretest and posttest learning outcomes on the knowledge aspect. The results showed the average N-Gain increase in student interest by 0.74 in the high category and learning outcomes on aspects of knowledge obtained N-Gain average of 0.70 with a high category. Based on the results of these studies it can be concluded that ethnoscience Lesson Plan (RPP) is effective in increasing students learning interest and learning outcomes in additives topic. Abstract

This study aimed to describe the validity of SETS-oriented science book for junior high school students in environmental pollutions materials. In this research, researcher uses a quantitative descriptive method and uses validation sheet in the form of questionnaire as data-collection techniques. The questionnaire contains the criteria of material feasibility, language, and presentation. The result of validation gave the material feasibility score 3.9, for the language is 3.6, and the presentation criteria scored 3.9. So, it can be concluded that a science book with SETS-oriented is very well to be used as a learning facility according to the assessment of the validator.

Abstract

This study aims to describe learning outcomes, and student responses during learning using teaching materials assisted by smart apps creator (SAC). This type of research uses pre-experimental research with a one group pretest posttest design. The subjects of this study consisted of 30 students of class VIII-H at SMP Negeri 30 Surabaya in the academic year 2022/2023. The research instruments used were pretest-posttest test sheets and student response questionnaires. The data collection techniques used were tests and questionnaires, with data analysis techniques including data analysis techniques for improving learning outcomes using normalized gain (N-gain) and analyzing student response questionnaire data. The results of this study include, (1) the learning outcomes of students experienced a significant increase as evidenced by the average value of normalized gain (N-gain) obtained a high category, (2) the results of students' responses obtained an average percentage of 98.5% with a very good category. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that the application of teaching materials assisted by Smart Apps Creator (SAC) can improve student learning outcomes on vibration and wave material.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the increase in student learning outcomes using infographic posters in natural science learning. This type of research used pre-experimental one group pretest posttest design. The research subjects used in this study were 21 students of class VIII-H. Data collection techniques in this research used observation, questionnaires, and tests. The research instrument consisted of learning implementation observation sheets, student response questionnaire sheets, student knowledge test sheets. The results of this study are: (1) The implementation of the natural science learning on the respiratory system material as a whole has been carried out in the "Good" category; (2) The average percentage of student responses to the use of infographic posters in natural science learning as a whole obtains a percentage of 88% in the "Very Good" category; (3) Student learning outcomes in the cognitive aspect show that the use of infographic posters in natural science learning increases learning outcomes with an average percentage score of 65% in the category "Effective enough".

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the implementation and student responses to the application of guided inquiry assisted by worksheets oriented to Socio-Scientific Issues (SSI). The type of research used is descriptive quantitative with pre-experimental design. The subjects in this study were 32 students of class VIII. The instruments used to collect data were learning implementation sheets and student response questionnaires. The technique of collecting data in this research is using observation and survey methods. The results of the study showed that learning was carried out very well in the two meetings and the students' responses to the learning model received very good responses as shown by an average result of ? 76%.

Abstract

PT Adaro Energy Indonesia, sebagai pemain utama dalam sektor energi terintegrasi, menghadapi tantangan untuk beradaptasi dengan perubahan lingkungan dan kebijakan pemerintah yang mendorong transisi ke sumber energi terbarukan. Inovasi keuangan, seperti investasi dalam teknologi energi terbarukan dan infrastruktur penyimpanan energi, menjadi kunci untuk mencapai tujuan ini. Paper ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana PT Adaro Energy Indonesia dapat memanfaatkan inovasi keuangan untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut dan memanfaatkan peluang yang muncul dalam transisi ke ekonomi hijau. Studi ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif yang mencakup analisis tentang strategi inovasi keuangan yang dapat diimplementasikan oleh perusahaan, termasuk investasi dalam teknologi terbarukan, pengelolaan sumber daya alam yang berkelanjutan, dan pengembangan model bisnis baru yang berfokus pada keberlanjutan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa inovasi keuangan dapat memainkan peran penting dalam mendukung transisi ke ekonomi hijau, menciptakan nilai jangka panjang bagi perusahaan dan masyarakat, serta memastikan keberlangsungan hidup alam manusia.

Abstract

Introduction: In the digital age, social media (SM) has undeniably transformed the way parents access information, including complementary feeding (CF) practices. Approximately 57.1% mothers in Indonesia obtained information about CF from the internet, ranging from parenting forums to social media platforms like Instagram. Aims: To explore the use of SM as source of CF information among mothers in Indonesia. Method: Exploratory cross-sectional study was conducted in 1631 mothers of children 0-23 months in May 2023, using an online questionnaire. The analysis of the data was conducted using the statistical software SPSS 21.0 Results: Of all the subjects, the largest group consisted of those aged 26-30 years. A majority had a high level of education, had SM, and spent 30-60 minutes (59.2%) searching for CF information. Full-time mothers were more influenced by SM (p=0.043). A notable distinction existed in the choice of social media based on the level of education. The higher the education, the more Instagram was used, while the lower the education, the more TikTok was used (mothers p=0.000; fathers p=0.002). The higher the education, the more information sources were sorted (mothers p=0.014; fathers p=0.000), and the more the educational background of the informant was considered (mothers p=0.000; fathers p=0.000). Conclusion: Mothers seek CF information from SM because it is faster, easier and convenient. However, it is often not evidence-based, and the amount of conflicting information confuses parents. Health efforts with a promotive approach that are evidence-based, understandable and applicable are needed and can be carried out through SM.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze accounting students' perceptions of the application of Financial Accounting Standards (FAS) at the University of 17 August 1945 Surabaya and the effect of these perceptions on their readiness to apply FAS in the professional world. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through questionnaires distributed to accounting students who have received courses related to SAK. The results showed that the majority of students have a good understanding of SAK, but there are some who do not fully understand the standard. The role of lecturers proved significant in helping students understand and apply SAK correctly. The application of SAK in accounting education is considered important by the majority of students, because it supports their readiness to face the world of work. The results of this study are expected to provide input for the development of accounting education curriculum to be more effective in instilling understanding and application of SAK.
