AbstractÂ The objective of this study is to find out and analyze empirically the effectsofcooperative script in enhancing the narrative writing of students The study used experimental method with a control and experimental group. The study of population was 80 students âelectrical Engineering in the second semester at Muhammadiyah Lampung University 2016/2017. The subjects of the study were taken from the seven sections randomly elected by the fishbowl technique. The data collection method used pretest and posttest while data analysis used t-tests in SPSS 16.0 The study of results showed that the mean scores in the pre-test and post-test in both control and experimental groups significantly varied. First, the treatment or the cooperativescript significantly increased the performance of the second semester students in narrative text writing, from good to very good. Second, a significant difference existed in the post-test mean scores of the control and experimental groups. The treatment increased the performance of the second semester students in narrative writing. Third, the use of a cooperativescript significantly affected the performance, particularly of the experimental group.Â Keywords: Cooperative Script, Writing Skill, Narrative Text

This aimed to know using of jigsaw technique in increasing narrative writing ability studentsâ grade seven Junior High SchoolÂ Muhammadiyah Lampung 3 year 2016/2017. This research of population was all studentsâ Junior High SchoolÂ Muhammadiyah Lampung 3, it consisted of four classes. It used random sample which consisted of thirty students and grade seven Junior High School Muhammadiyah Lampung 3 Kec. Labuhan Ratu Kedaton. This research was class action research , the data was analyzed to know increasing studentsâ narrative writing ability, the researchers used technique of collecting documentation, interview and observation . Data analysis was conducted by taking the average score of the pre-test and post- test in cycle 1 and cycle 2. The result of research showed that the average of result on cycle I was 67,40Â while cycle II was 78,30 and there was increasing namely 10,63.

Cartoon As Instructional Method in Teaching Descriptive Text Writing Amrizal, Amrizal

Writing is a part of four language skills that the students have to be comprehended. In fact,Â many students are unable to do so because they believe that learning to write is difficult. Several resons exist for this dilemma. One is that grammatical rules for the English language are much different than those of Bahasa Indonesia. Second, students typically prossess a limit vocabulary. Third, students do not have much motivation to write English text. One of potential solution to increase writing skills for writing (descriptive text) using cartoon media. In applying cartoon media, the teacher asks students to describe items based on a cartoon, and then after the students have described things such as colour and form. They are asked to compare stories to see which ones are closest to real story and retell the stories what student write. Using this method helps for several reasons. First, the method attacts studentsâ attention. Second, visual material have been shown to be helpful because they are engaging.

Reading as one of the macro skills of English is an important part in English Language Teaching. It should be mastered by guiding intensively to get a good achievement, so, it can bring positive impact to understand the writer ideas in the text clearly. That is why, practicing the-PPRST (Personal and study assessment, Point of study progression, Re-Framing Learning, Study session, Testing session) strategies can be the way in training the students to get an achievement. This study sought to answer the questions; (1) What strategies can be implemented to enhance the reading comprehension of the 4th-semester students of STIT Muhammadiyah Tanjung Redeb?, and (2) What is the performance of the control and experimental classes in the pre-test and post-test?. The data were collected in Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Tarbiyah (STIT) Muhammadiyah, Tanjung Redeb City, Berau Regency of East Kalimantan. Participants were 30 students at the 4th semester of STIT Muhammadiyah Tanjung Redeb. The design of research is experimental and statistical tools for analyzing the data use T-Test. Finding are: PPRST is being the suit strategies to help students in increasing the high score in reading test., the Pre-test result of the control group is 49.83 and experimental group is 52.66. After the treatment, the post-test was administered and the same analysis with the pre-test was done with the results of Post-test in control group is 59.00 and experimental group is 70.00.

This study aimed to know the effect of making a match to increase students writing skill especially sentence pattern “noun + verb + adverbial. True experimental design was used in this study. The data of collecting technique used pretest and posttest, the population was 30 students English Education, the first semester, State of Islamic College (STAIN) Mandailing Natal, the sample used experimental group and control group. The analysis data used SPSS 16.0. The result of this study shows that students had better achievement in writing skill when learning writing used make a match method.

This activity aims to improve teenagers’ English language ability through jigsaw techniques in Siti Aisyah Orphanage. This activity was held at the Siti Aisyah Orphanage Jalan Lintas Timur Kelurahan Dalan Lidang Kecamatan Panyabungan, and there were 6 teenagers in this activity. This activity has 8 meetings and each meeting runs for 60-90 minutes. The results of this training show that teenagers’ English language ability through jigsaw techniques in Siti Aisyah Orphanage has a satisfactory increase, namely 34.17. The pre test results were 31.66 and the post test results were 65.83 and there was an increase in participants' learning motivation as seen from the enthusiasm of participants in the learning process

This study is going to know what cooperative script method can increase students’ English skill on Islamic economic law especially in past tense material. This study used class action research and the data of collecting used pre test and post test. The population in this study was 60 students in first semester, Students’ Islamic economic law, State College of Islamic studies (STAIN) Mandailing Natal and used random sampling technique as sample, there were 30 students as sample. The analysis data used average score. The result of this study shows that cooperative give good significant in learning English especially in past tense material in first semester, Students’ Islamic economic law, State College of Islamic studies (STAIN) Mandailing Natal

The study examined the effect of Google Classroom on students' grammatical competence. The experiment was followed by a test. The group that received therapy was the experimental group, whereas the control group received no treatment. Using SPSS, the T-test was used to determine if the pre- and post-test scores of the control and experimental groups differed significantly. The results of the investigation were 1). the pre- and post-test mean scores for the control and experimental groups differ considerably. This indicates that the use of Google Classroom greatly improved students' Ekonomi Syariah performance in present grammar from excellent to very good. 2). the post-test mean scores of the control and experimental groups vary significantly. The usage of Google Classroom had a considerable impact on the test performance of the experimental group in particular.

There have been several studies on the use of comics as an instructional tool for reading, but less on their use to writing, particularly descriptive text. The goal of this study is to find out how the comic strip affects the writing skills of students in the Islamic education program STAIN Mandailing Natal, especially their descriptive writing skills . This study was a experiment method. It was done by two classes, one called the experimental class and the other called the control class. Each class had 35 students. The Random sampling is used in the sampling of this study. This study uses SPSS windows 10 or statistical analysis to construct the T-Test while analyzing the data. This research finds that comic strips may improve students' descriptive writing. Through comic strips, students enhanced their writing abilities in all areas. The learning process is more efficient because of the use of simple language, clear images, and follow-up questions to ensure that everyone understood what was going on.

Culture is the identity of a nation. The cultural diversity of the archipelago will further strengthen the identity of the Indonesian nation. The purpose of this service is to introduce Indonesian culture and its national identity to English-language education students at the University of Nueva Caceres, Naga City, Philippines. This Community service activities are carried out for English language education students at the University of Nueva Caceres, Naga City, Philippines. In this activity, data is gathered through observations, interviews, and studies of the literature. There are three steps to this activity: planning, implementation, and evaluating. The result showed that both English education lecturer and students at the University of Nueva Caceres in Naga City, Philippines, learnt more about Indonesian culture and national identity, and they also acquired more vocabulary in the Indonesian language. This means that the activity had a good effect. Abstrak Kebudayaan merupakan identitas suatu bangsa. Keanekaragaman budaya nusantara akan semakin memperkuat jati diri bangsa Indonesia. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk memperkenalkan budaya indonesia dan identitas nasionalnya kepada mahasiswa pendidikan bahasa inggris the University of Nueva Caceres , Naga City, Philippines. Kegiatan Pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan pada mahasiswa pendidikan bahasa inggris the University of Nueva Caceres , Naga City, Philippines. Pengumpul data dalam kegiatan ini menggunakan observasi,interview and studi literature. Tahapan dalam kegiatan ini ada tiga yaitu perencanaan , pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan adalah bahwa baik dosen maupun mahasiswa pendidikan bahasa inggris the University of Nueva Caceres , Naga City, Philippines, ada mengalami penambahan wawasan dan pengetahuan mengenai budaya indonesia dan identitas nasionalnya serta menambah kosakata dalam bahasa indonesia artinya kegiatan ini memberikan dampak yang positif .
