Abstract

Human physological anatomy is one of the courses that must be taken at the S1 level of Biology Education. This lecture is carried out in 2 activities, namely theoretical lecture activities and lectures in practicum activities. Theoretical lecture activities contain lecture activities in the context of mastering the material of the skeletal system, muscular system, circulatory system, digestive system, endocrine system, nervous system, respiratory system and human immune system. Practicum activities are carried out in the laboratory with the aim of students mastering work procedures safely in the Biology Laboratory. Researchers make observations during this lecture activity and there is a main problem that must be resolved immediately, namely the absence of a practicum module for the Human Physiology Anatomy course. This results in students having difficulty in proving concepts and theories that they have obtained from theoretical lecture knowledge. In addition, it also makes it difficult for students to do practicum work in the laboratory. Therefore, it is necessary to take steps to solve these problems by developing practicum modules that will provide instructions in carrying out practicum. The development chosen by the researcher in this case uses a 4D model that contains define, design, develop, and disseminate. The instruments used in this test include: (1) Questionnaire of validation sheets of human physiological anatomy material experts, (2) questionnaires of validation sheets from experts in learning media, (3) response questionnaires of students who take human physiology anatomy classes, and (4) response questionnaires of lecturers in human physiology anatomy classes. Based on the results of the development of the human physiology anatomy practicum module that has been developed, it can be said that it has been in accordance with the development objectives. This can be observed based on the series of development activities that have been completed by researchers until obtaining the product of the human physiology anatomy practicum module.

Abstract

The purpose of this article was to discusses the application of lecture collaboration as an effort to improve the pedagogical competence of lecturers and teaching practitioners in the Professional Ethics course in the Biology Education Study Program. The research method used is classroom action research, which involves a cycle of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting in order to improve teaching practices. This research was conducted in the context of the Biology Education Study Program, involving lecturers and teaching practitioners as research subjects. The classroom action research cycle consists of the stages of planning lecture collaboration, implementing lecture collaboration, observing the process and results of collaboration, and reflection to formulate subsequent improvements. The results showed that the application of lecture collaboration was effective in improving the pedagogic competence of lecturers and teaching practitioners. Collaboration allows them to share experiences, knowledge, and effective teaching strategies. In the context of Professional Ethics courses, lecture collaboration also increases student involvement and motivation in learning. These findings support the study's hypothesis and are also in line with the related literature on the benefits of collaboration in education. The implication of this research is the importance of implementing lecture collaboration as an effective teaching strategy in improving the pedagogical competence of lecturers and teaching practitioners, especially in the Professional Ethics course in the Biology Education Study Program

Abstract

Pembelajaran berbasis teknologi di masa pandemic Covid-19 menghadapi banyak kendala dan tantangan. Akibatnya, desain dan strategi pembelajaran diharapkan efektif, efisien dan mampu memberdayakan kompetensi mahasiswa dengan tepat. Namun, tes pilihan ganda dalam bentuk kuis online juga memiliki beberapa kekurangan, misalnya, cukup sulit untuk menangkap tingkat konsep penguasaan mahasiswa secara lebih mendalam dan rinci. Oleh karena itu formulir evaluasi tes pilihan ganda online dapat dikembangkan dengan sistem dua tingkat, sehingga dapat menunjukkan tingkat pemahaman dan pemikiran mahasiswa lebih lanjut. Selain itu, kepastian indeks respons juga ditambahkan untuk menentukan tingkat kepercayaan mahasiswa terhadap jawaban yang diberikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pemahaman mahasiswa dengan Kepastian Indeks Respons (CRI) pada materi parasitologi menggunakan tes diagnostik online dua tingkat berdasarkan aplikasi ispring suite 8. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Subjeknya adalah mahamahasiswa IKIP Budi Utomo Malang 2018 A, dengan jumlah total 18 mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat CRI mahasiswa cenderung rendah, jawaban dan alasan tidak benar dan terkait satu sama lain, sehingga tampaknya mahasiswa menjawab secara acak yang tidak dapat menunjukkan alasan logis yang berkaitan dengan jawaban. Beberapa faktor yang menyebabkan rendahnya tingkat pemahaman mahasiswa dan CRI adalah karakteristik materi parasitologi yang abstrak dan sulit, ruang lingkup materi yang kompleks dan rumit, kemampuan awal mahasiswa, dan penggunaan sumber belajar yang tidak optimal.

Abstract

Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains (SPS) adalah dengan memberikan siswa pertanyaan praktik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan pertanyaan tentang keterampilan proses sains dan menggambarkan karakteristik instrumen yang dikembangkan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian perkembangan menggunakan model prosedural yang diadaptasi dari Djaali dan Muljono. Langkah-langkah ini termasuk tahap sintesis teori, tahap desain (konstruksi variabel, pengembangan indikator pertanyaan, persiapan grid, membuat instrumen, penilaian), dan tahap evaluasi (uji validitas, uji keandalan, dan analisis item). Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi ahli, kuesioner penilaian praktisi, dan pertanyaan uji coba produk untuk 100 siswa. Hasil penilaian ahli dan praktisi penilaian diproses secara deskriptif. Hasil validitas empiris, yang merupakan data kuantitatif, diproses menggunakan perangkat lunak Microsoft Excel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertanyaan yang dikembangkan valid berdasarkan validitas logis dan validitas empiris. Kalorikuasi keandalan menunjukkan kategori tinggi. Studi This menyimpulkan bahwa instrumen SPS yang dikembangkan layak untuk menilai kemampuan proses mata pelajaran biologi di level sekolah menengah pertama.

Abstract

This research explores the potential for a collaborative approach between parasitology practitioners and Budi Utomo Teacher Training and Education Institute (IKIP) students in improving parasitology education. The background of this research arises from the urgent need to develop student competence in understanding the increasingly complex and diverse world of parasitology. The purpose of this study is to identify the effectiveness of collaborative classroom teaching practitioners in increasing students' understanding of the basic concepts of parasitology and developing their practical skills. This research method involves the development of a collaborative curriculum and the implementation of structured teaching practices involving teachers, practitioners, and students simultaneously. The results showed significant improvements in students' understanding of parasitic nature, life cycles, and control strategies. In addition, direct interaction with practitioners provides deep insight into the practical application of theory in real-world situations. The study provides strong evidence that collaborative classroom teaching practitioners can enhance the effectiveness of parasitology education, enrich students' learning experiences, and prepare them with skills relevant for industry or future research. These findings provide a foundation for the development of innovative teaching methods in parasitology education and are suggested for adoption in various higher education institutions.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model pembelajaran Think berbasis media I Spring suite 8 bagi mahasiswa Pendidikan Biologi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research and Development. Pengembangan media pembelajaran menggunakan metode Research and Development (R & D) dengan model 4 D (Define, Design, Develop, dan Dessiminate). Penelitian ini dimulai dari tahap define yaitu mengidentifikasi konsep-konsep material yang harus terkandung dalam media. Mendesain lebih lanjut model pembelajaran Think berbasis media pembelajaran I Spring suite 8. Setelah media dirancang dan dibuat maka dilakukan tahap pengembangan yaitu validasi produk oleh ahli dan uji coba produk pada proses perkuliahan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa validitas ahli materi dalam kriteria valid dengan persentase 88 persen, hasil validitas ahli media dalam kriteria valid dengan persentase media pembelajaran sebesar 89 persen. Dari uji kelayakan diperoleh hasil uji kelayakan. Disimpulkan bahwa media termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik.Asbtract. Abstract

Students need microbiology textbooks that contain the latest research results so that microbiological material is dynamic. The research problem is how is the form of developing microbiology textbooks based on research results that meet the criteria of eligibility or validity. The study aims to determine the form of development of microbiology textbooks based on research results that meet the criteria of eligibility or validity. This research is a development research using the Thiagarajan 4-D development model, which includes define, design and develop stages. The microbiology textbooks developed were tested for validity and attractiveness to microbiology material experts, instructional media experts, practitioners and a small group of students who had taken microbiology courses. The results showed that the research-based microbiology textbooks were declared feasible or valid by a team of experts, practitioners, and students. Research-based microbiology textbooks are unique in that they contain research work procedures in the laboratory so as to facilitate students to understand microbiology material and establish life skills.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a focusky-based module on Paracytology course for Biology Education college students. The type of this research is Research Development (Research and Development). The development of focusky-based module uses the Research and Development (R & D) method with the 4 D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Dessiminate). This research starts from the define stage where at this stage identification of material concepts that must be contained in focusky-based module. Furthermore  design the focusky-based module. After focusky-based module has been designed and created, the development stage is carried out, namely product validation by experts and product testing in the lecture process. The results showed that the validity of the material experts was in valid criteria with the percentage of paracytology modules of 89%, the results of validity by media experts were in valid criteria with the percentage of learning media as much as 88,25%. From the feasibility test, it was concluded that the module is included in the category very good.

Abstract

Abstract Education plays a crucial role in developing individual potential. This research aims to enhance the learning outcomes of science for sixth-grade students at SD Bunayya Islamic School by implementing the experimental method. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results of the research show an improvement in student activity and learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II. Student learning activities have significantly increased, such as the percentage of students paying attention to teacher explanations and successfully conducting experimental activities. Student learning outcomes have also improved, as evidenced by the increased percentage of students achieving mastery learning. From this research, it can be concluded that the use of the experimental method is effective in enhancing student activity and learning outcomes in science. The experimental method provides direct experiences to students, enhancing their understanding of science concepts. Therefore, the application of the experimental method is recommended in science education to improve student learning outcomes. Abstrak Pendidikan berperan penting dalam mengembangkan potensi individu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas VI di SD Bunayya Islamic School dengan menerapkan metode eksperimen. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan empat tahapan: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa dari siklus I ke siklus II. Aktivitas belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan signifikan, seperti meningkatnya persentase siswa yang memperhatikan penjelasan guru dan mampu melaksanakan kegiatan eksperimen. Hasil belajar siswa juga meningkat, terbukti dari peningkatan persentase siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan belajar. Dari penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan metode eksperimen efektif dalam meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa dalam IPA. Metode eksperimen memberikan pengalaman langsung kepada siswa, meningkatkan pemahaman mereka terhadap konsep-konsep IPA. Oleh karena itu, penerapan metode eksperimen dapat direkomendasikan dalam pembelajaran IPA untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Mahasiswa tingkat akhir mengalami peningkatan stres yang berdampak pada kondisi emosional dan motivasi dalam menyelesaikan skripsi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan dan dampak kegiatan support group berbasis single-session group (SSG) sebagai bentuk intervensi yang dapat membantu mahasiswa mengelola stres. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh tujuh mahasiswa tingkat akhir dan dilaksanakan dalam satu sesi berdurasi empat jam. Intervensi mencakup check-in emotion, art therapy, sharing session, action plan, afirmasi positif, dan check-out emotion. Pemberian intervensi dan pengukuran stress dilakukan melalui pengamatan dan evaluasi tertulis. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas peserta mengalami perubahan emosi dari negatif (cemas, malu, marah, sedih) menjadi lebih positif (tenang, bahagia, percaya diri). Evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa seluruh peserta merasa puas dengan pelaksanaan kegiatan, serta merekomendasikan pelaksanaan lanjutan atau serupa. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa support group berbasis SSG merupakan intervensi singkat yang efektif dalam menciptakan ruang aman, memperkuat dukungan sosial, serta mendorong refleksi diri dan perencanaan konkret dalam menyelesaikan skripsi.
