Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the level of education, type of work, level of health, number of dependents, ana mental/spiritual attitudes towards poverty of households in the Bayang sub-district of Pesisir Selatan district. The type of research is descriptive and quantitative research. The population of this study is poor households in the Bayang sub-district of Pesisir Sealatan district. The sample was determined based on cluster sampling technique, which was obtained through 42 respondents. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that (1) the level of education has a positive and insignificant effect on poverty of households in the Bayang sub-district Pesisir Selatan district, (2) the type of work has a positive and insignificant effect on poverty of households in the Bayang sub-district Pesisir Selatan district, (3) level health has a positive and insignificant effect on poverty of households in Bayang sub-district Pesisir Selatan district, (4) the number of dependents has a positive and significant effect on poverty of households in Bayang sub-district Pesisir Selatan district, (5) mental/spiritual attitudes have a positive and insignificant effect on poverty of households in Bayang sub-district Pesisir Selatan district, (6) together there is a positive and significant effect on poverty of households in Bayang subdistrict Pesisr Selatan district.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of factors (X1) Wife's working hours on welfare, (X2) Wife's last education on welfare, (X3) Husband's last education on welfare in West Sumatra. This study uses the logistic regression method. The sample used was taken from prosperous households based on per capita expenditure in West Sumatra. This study uses Susenas West Sumatra Province data in 2015. The results of the study show that (1) wife's working hours have a significant effect on welfare. (2) Last wife education has a significant effect on welfare. (3) Husband's last education has a significant effect on welfare. (4) Taken together there are significant effects between wife's working hours, wife's last education, and husband's last education on welfare in West Sumatra. From the results of research, Welfare and the dual role of women generally have a positive relationship or relationship. Especially for prosperous households. Households whose wives are involved in earning a living will tend to be more prosperous than households whose wives do not play a role in earning a living, so special attention from the government is needed to provide job training for wives to have skills so that they can play an active role in economy and impact on households that tend to be more prosperous.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that influence foreign exchange reserves in Indonesia and China.The research type is descriptive research while the data used is time series data from 1987-2016 obtained from documentation of Bank Indonesia, BPS Indonesia, and International Monetary Fund (IMF). The results of this study indicate that : exchange rate and portfolio investment has a significant positive effect on foreign exchange reserve in Indonesia. Net export has a negatif and not significant effect on foreign exchange reserve in Indonesia. While, exchange rate has a negatif and not significant effect on foreign exchange reserve on China’s. Net export has a significant positive effect on foreign exchange reserve in China’s. While, portfolio investmen has a negative and significant effect on foreign exchange reserve.. Abstract

This study aims to find out how the Influence the tourism sector contributes to poverty in the province of West Sumatera. The data used is secondary data in the form of a combination of time series and cross section from 2015 t0 2017, with documentation data collection techniques and library studies obtained from relevant institutions and agencies. The variables used are the regional revenue of the tourism sector, the number of hotel rooms, the number of small medium micro enterprises and poverty.The research methods used are: Random Effect Model (REM), (1) The regional income of the tourism sector contributessignificant. to reduction of poverty in the province of West Sumatera. (2) The number of hotel  contributes to reduction poverty in the province of West Sumatera but is not significant. (3) Micro small and medium enterprises contributes to reduction of poverty in the province of West Sumatera but is not significant. (4)The regional revenue of the tourism sector, the number of hotel room, and micro small and medium enterprises together has a signoficantt contribution to poverty inte the province of West Sumatera.

Abstract

the phenomenon of labor in Indonesian is that the workforce in increasing but there are few opportunities for employment. This will cause unemployment and many unemployment will effect the economy. Study aims to determine the impact of population growth , wages, and education on labor supply in Indonesia. This research used panel data from 2013 to 2018 in 34 provinces in Indonesia  and analysis used panel data regression with FEM method. The results of the study found that; 1) population growth hasn’t impact on the labor supply in Indonesia. (2) Wages hasn’t impact on labor supply in Indonesia. (3) education has an impact on the labor supply in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of (1) UKP (2) Couples Education (3) Respondent Education (4) Family Income (5) Number of Children on the use of family planning in West Sumatra Province. The data analysis tool used is logistic regression using Susenas 2017 data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The study population is households that are married at an early age and already have children. The sample used was 507 poor households categorized using family planning and not using family planning. The hypothesis test used was the G test and the Wald test with a significance level of 5%. The results of the Logistic Regression found that UKP, respondent education, and number of children had an influence on family planning requests in West Sumatra Province. Therefore, equity and development in the field of education should be increased even more, so that education becomes more effective so that later higher quality education will build quality communities. In the long run, it will reduce the problems of poverty and population, especially problems in the growth rate of poor people and households.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine (1) the effect of income on gas consumption in Indonesia (2) the effect of population on gas consumption in Indonesia (3) the effect of industrial growth on gas consumption in Indonesia. This type of research is descriptive and associative. The data used in this research is secondary data from Indonesia in the form of time series data from 1970 to 2019 and this data was obtained from official institutions of the World Bank and BP Statistic World. The data were processed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that the income had a negative and significant effect on gas consumption with a probability value of 0.0005 <0.05, the population had a positive and significant effect on gas consumption with a value of prob t-count of 0.0010 <0.05 and industrial growth had a positive and significant effect on gas consumption.  The significant to gas consumption in Indonesia with a value of prob t-count value of 0.5219 <0.05 and suggestions for further researchers to be able to analyze other factors that affecting gas consumption in Indonesia.  Because from the gas sectors, there are still many factors that affected gas consumption until the research results will be better

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the causality between Indonesia's foreign debt, economic growth and poverty. This type of research is descriptive and associative. This study uses time series data in Indonesia from 1970-2019. This study uses the VAR (VECM) analysis method.with the variabel in this study is foreign debt, economic growht and poverty. The results of this study indicate that: (1) There is a one-way causality of the economic growth variable on the foreign debt variable. (2) there is a one-way causality from the poverty variable to the economic growth variable. (3) There is no causality between the foreign debt variable and the poverty variable.

Abstract

This study aims toKdetermineRtheSeffect#of government spendingQonKthe health, education and infrastructure sectors on the welfare of the people in Indonesia. TheWdata RareqsecondarykdatayingtheeformNof time series from 2015Q1 to 2017: Q4, with documentation data collection techniques and literature studies obtained from relevant institutions and agencies. The used are health sector government expenditure (X1), influence of education sector government expenditure (X2) influence of infrastructure sector government expenditure (X3) and public welfare (Y) as the dependent variable. The modelRusedWis#aGpanel model with#the#Fixed#Effect Model analysis method. The results showed that government spending in the health, education and infrastructure sectors had a positive influence on the welfare of the community with varying degrees of significance. The government expenditure that is not significant to the welfare of the community is the government#expenditure#on#health, education while the#government#expenditure on infrastructure is significant.

Abstract

This study aims to find out and analyze: (1) The impact road infrastructure on FDI in Sumatera Island. (2) The impact of electricity infrastructure on FDI in Sumatera Island. (3)The impact of telecommunication infrastructure on FDI in Sumatera Island (4) The impact of wage on foreign direct investment in Sumatera Island. (5) The impact of road infrastructure, electricity infrastructure, telecommunication infrastructure  and wage on FDI in Sumatera Island. This study used a panel regression analysis with model selected is the Random Effect Model (REM). The results of this study indicate that (1) Road Infrastructure has no impact on FDI in Sumatera Island. (2) Electricity infrastructure has an impact on FDI in Sumatera Island. (3) Telecommunication infrastructure has an impact on foreign investment in Sumatera Island. (4) Wage has no impact on FDI in Sumatera Island, while (5) Together road infrastructure, electricity infrastructure, telecommunication infrastructure and wage has an impact on FDI in Sumatera Island.
