Abstract

Gender equality is a global goal that has become the concern of the world community. One important factor in achieving gender equality is the role of the millennial generation or what is often referred to as generation Y. The millennial generation has a very important role in fighting for gender equality. Through this research, the authors discuss the role of the millennial generation in realizing gender equality. The author uses a qualitative descriptive method by conducting interviews with five millennials who are active in the gender equality movement. The findings from this study indicate that the millennial generation has a good understanding of gender equality and they also actively participate in the gender equality movement. The millennial generation has also taken the initiative to bring gender equality issues into the public sphere through social media and social activities. However, there are still many challenges faced by the millennial generation in fighting for gender equality, such as gender stereotypes and discrimination that still exist in society. Therefore, the millennial generation needs to continue to struggle and work together with related parties to achieve gender equality. Keywords: millennial generation, gender equality

Abstract

The expansion of communication technology and the increasing usage of the frequency spectrum drive the need for compatible device testing. Wideband antennas play a crucial role in supporting modern communication systems and applications, including those used as the sensors in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing. Optimization techniques, such as genetic algorithm (GA), particle swarm optimization (PSO), and covariance matrix adaptation–evolution strategy (CMA-ES), are widely applied to enhance the bandwidth of electromagnetic devices. However, most studies focus on individual algorithms or limited comparisons, resulting in a lack of systematic evaluation within a unified framework. This paper fills that gap by directly comparing GA, PSO, and CMA-ES on the same planar sensor design, assessing their effectiveness in achieving the widest bandwidth. The planar sensor had a basic spline-based configuration using quadratic Bezier equation. A performance comparison based on a simulation showed that the planar sensor configuration with the best bandwidth was 17.77 GHz, spanning a frequency range from 2.23 GHz to 20 GHz, which was limited by the highest observation frequency of the available measuring instrument. Furthermore, verification of the realized planar sensor showed that the bandwidth reached 17.86 GHz, from 2.14 GHz to 20 GHz, with a geometric bandwidth of 273%.

Abstract

This paper proposes the design and implementation of a dual-function aperture-coupled spiral resonator (SR) antenna integrated with a compact impedance matching network (IMN) to achieve enhanced radiation performance and miniaturization. The antenna uses a two-layer FR4 substrate, where the SR is printed on the top layer as the radiating element and excited through a slotted aperture on the ground plane. To maximize power transfer, the IMN, consisting of an inter-digital capacitor (IDC) and a meandered inductor (MI), is embedded into the feed line on the bottom substrate. A comparative study between the conventional SR antenna and the proposed dual-function SR with IMN was conducted. Electromagnetic simulations and experimental measurements demonstrate that the integrated IMN improves the reflection coefficient (S11) by 43.64%, increases radiation efficiency from ~72% to ~87%, and enhances gain from ~3.2 dBi to ~4.8 dBi, while maintaining a compact footprint. The aperture-coupled feeding also contributes to bandwidth enhancement and isolation between the feed and radiating element. This dual-function design effectively resolves the trade-off between miniaturization and radiation performance, demonstrating its applicability for IoT, 5G, and wearable wireless devices.

Abstract

Sungai Duri di Kecamatan Sungai Raya, Kabupaten Bengkayang, merupakan ekosistem perairan dengan potensi sumber daya ikan bernilai ekonomis, salah satunya ikan Kedukang (Hexanematichthys sagor). Aktivitas antropogenik di sekitar sungai berpotensi memengaruhi kualitas perairan dan kondisi biologis ikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pola pertumbuhan dan faktor kondisi ikan Kedukang. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Mei - Juni 2025 di tiga stasiun, menggunakan metode penangkapan dengan jaring dan pancing. Analisis panjang - berat dilakukan dengan persamaan logaritmik, sedangkan faktor kondisi dihitung dengan rumus Fulton"™s Condition Factor. Abstract

Perifiton merupakan organisme yang hidup menempel pada substrat seperti tumbuhan, kayu, hewan, dan batu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui komposisi dan kelimpahan perifiton di Sungai Desa Sengawang Kabupaten Sambas. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari - April 2025 di Sungai Desa Sengawang, Kabupaten Sambas, dan mengunakan metode purpossive sampling. Pengambilan sampel perifiton dilakukan dengan mengerik seluruh permukaan substart tumbuhan. Komposisi perifiton epifitik yang ditemukan di Sungai Desa Sengawang 21 genera yang berasal dari 3 kelas yaitu Bacillariophyta 80,42%, Chlorophyta 12,26%, dan Cyanophyta 7,33%. Kelimpahan perifiton distasiun 1 sejumlah 6416 sel/cm², stasiun ke 2 dengan kelimpahan terendah sejumlah 2168 sel/cm², dan kelimpahan tertinggi pada stasiun 3 sejumlah 14,202 sel/cm².

Abstract

Ikan pari barong (Rhina ancylostoma) dari famili Rhinidae, merupakan kelompok elasmobranchii sebagian besar spesies tersebar di sepanjang Indonesia"“Pasifik barat hingga Papua Nugini Baru dan Australia utara serta Afrika Selatan. Mendiami bagian bawah laut pada kedalaman 200 m, makanan utamanya terdiri dari krustasea dan moluska. Kunci identifikasi spesies ini menurut (White, 2006) adalah awal pangkal sirip dorsal pertama berada di depan pangkal sirip perut, bentuk sirip ekor seperti sabit, moncong tebal, tidak terdapat selaput atau tonjolan kulit pada tepi belakang spirakel, dan pada lingkaran mata, bagian tengah tubuh dan pundak memiliki guratan-guratan yang terdiri dari duri-duri atau gerigi yang kuat (thorns). Pola pertumbuhan adalah perubahan panjang dan berat tubuh ikan dari waktu ke waktu, pola pertumbuhan dapat diketahui dengan melakukan analisis hubungan panjang dan berat tubuh ikan. Faktor kondisi merupakan kondisi fisiologis pada ikan yang memberikan pengaruh yang sifatnya tidak langsung yang dipengaruhi berbagai faktor, baik intristik maupun ekstristik yang dijadikan nilai dalam menentukan angka kegemukan pada ikan (Rahardjo Simanjuntak, 2008). Tujuan daripada penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pola pertumbuhan dan faktor kondisi ikan pari barong (Rhina ancylostoma) yang tertangkap di wilayah pengelolaan perikanan (WPP 711). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 3 bulan, di Tangkahan Sungai Kakap, Kabupaten Kuburaya, Provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Dalam satu minggu dua kali melakukan pengambilan data. Terhitung pada bulan Agustus - Oktober. Data diambil pada waktu pagi hari (Pukul 05.00 s/d 08.00 WIB). Adapun penelitian terdiri dari pengukuran panjang dan berat ikan pari barong menggunakan alat meteran dan timbangan, setelah pengambilan data pada ikan pari barong kemudian di lakukan olah data menggunakan aplikasi Mikrosoft Excel. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, kesimpulan yang di peroleh dari hasil penelitian adalah Pola pertumbuhan ikan berdasarkan jenis kelamin sama, jantan dan betina bersifat Isometrik, (pertumbuhan panjang dan berat tubuh ikan seimbang). Faktor kondisi rata-rata ikan jantan lebih besar daripada ikan betina, menunjukkan bahwa pada ukuran yang sama, ikan jantan cenderung lebih besar daripada ikan betina, dan secara bobot tubuh faktor kondisi ikan pari barong jantan dan betina tergolong tidak pipih atau kurus.Barong rays (Rhina ancylostoma) of the family Rhinidae, are a group of elasmobranchii mostly species distributed along the Indonesia"“western Pacific to Papua New Guinea and northern Australia and South Africa. Inhabiting the underwater part at a depth of 200 m, its main diet consists of crustaceans and mollusks. The key to identification of this species according to (White, 2006) is the beginning of the base of the first dorsal fin in front of the base of the ventral fin, the shape of the tail fin is sickle-like, the muzzle is thick, there are no membranes or skin protrusions on the back edge of the spiracles, and in the eye circle, the middle of the body and shoulders have strokes consisting of thorns or strong serrations (thorns). Growth pattern is a change in the length and weight of the fish body over time, the growth pattern can be known by analyzing the relationship between the length and weight of the fish. Condition factors are physiological conditions in fish that have an indirect influence influenced by various factors, both attractive and extroistic, which are used as values in determining obesity rates in fish (Rahardjo Simanjuntak, 2008). The purpose of this study is to determine the growth pattern and condition factors of barong rays (Rhina ancylostoma) caught in fisheries management areas (WPP 711). This research was conducted for 3 months, in Tangkahan Sungai Kakap, Kuburaya Regency, West Kalimantan Province. In one week twice conducted data collection. Calculated in August - October. Data is taken in the morning (05.00 to 08.00 WIB). The research consisted of measuring the length and weight of barong rays using meters and scales, after data collection on barong rays then processed the data using the Mikrosoft Excel application. Based on the results of the analysis, the conclusion obtained from the results of the study is the growth pattern of fish based on the same sex, male and female are isometric, (growth in length and body weight of fish is balanced). The average condition factor of male fish is larger than female fish, indicating that at the same size, male fish tend to be larger than female fish, and in terms of body weight the condition factor of male and female barong rays is classified as not flat or thin.
