Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of product quality on consumer decisions using wood packaging material services at Carsurindo Siperkasa Medan to assess the impact of product innovation on consumer decisions using wood packaging material services at PT. Carsurindo Siperkasa Medan determines the effect of product quality and product innovation on consumer decisions to use wood packaging material services at PT. Carsurindo Siperkasa Medan. The analysis technique used in this study uses quantitative data analysis techniques, namely testing and analysing data. The respondents in the study were 45 people. From the results of this study, it was obtained the significance value of the product quality variable (X1) on the consumer purchasing decision variable (Y) based on the t-test was obtained at t count > t table (8.212) > (2.018), (Sig 0.001 < α0.05) thus H1 accepted and H0 is rejected, the conclusion: there is a significant effect of product quality (X1) on consumer purchasing decisions (Y). The significance value of the product innovation variable (X2) on the consumer purchasing decision variable (Y) based on the t-test obtained t count > t table (3.970) > (2.018), (Sig 0.001 <α0.05), thus H2 is accepted, and H0 is rejected, in conclusion. There is a significant influence of product innovation (X2) on consumer purchasing decisions (Y). Therefore the results of this study state that the two independent variables support the hypothesis. Based on the results of the F test, it was obtained that the F count > F table was (34.068 > 3.21), (Sig 0.001 <α0.05); thus, H3 was accepted, and H0 was rejected. The conclusion: Product quality and innovation have a significant effect on consumer purchasing decisions. It shows that if the company can improve product quality and innovation, consumers will be interested in buying these products, increasing consumer purchasing decisions.

Abstract

Upaya penghijauan menjadi strategi penting dalam mengatasi degradasi lingkungan, perubahan iklim, serta hilangnya keanekaragaman hayati di Indonesia. Pemberdayaan masyarakat lokal memegang peran strategis dalam keberhasilan program konservasi, termasuk kegiatan penanaman pohon pada kawasan permukiman dan ruang terbuka desa. Bukit Lawang, sebagai kawasan ekowisata berbasis konservasi di tepi Taman Nasional Gunung Leuser, memiliki potensi besar untuk mengembangkan praktik penghijauan berkelanjutan yang terintegrasi dengan aktivitas masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bentuk pemberdayaan masyarakat Bukit Lawang dalam program penghijauan melalui penanaman pohon buah lokal, tingkat partisipasi warga, serta faktor pendukung dan penghambat yang memengaruhi pelaksanaan program. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui wawancara, observasi lapangan, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penanaman pohon buah lokal tidak hanya berkontribusi pada perbaikan ekologi kawasan, tetapi juga memberikan manfaat ekonomi dan sosial bagi masyarakat. Dukungan lembaga lokal, komunitas konservasi, serta adanya kesadaran lingkungan menjadi faktor pendorong utama keberhasilan program. Sementara itu, keterbatasan bibit, kurangnya pendampingan berkelanjutan, dan minimnya fasilitas penyiraman menjadi kendala yang masih ditemui. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui penanaman pohon buah lokal merupakan strategi penghijauan yang efektif, multifungsi, dan berpotensi direplikasi pada kawasan ekowisata lainnya.

Abstract

Emotion regulation in early childhood is a foundational competency influencing social, psychological, and academic outcomes. Parenting style, particularly authoritarian parenting characterized by high control and low emotional responsiveness, has been consistently associated with maladaptive emotional development. This study examines how authoritarian parenting shapes children’s emotion regulation across cultural contexts. This study employed a qualitative library research design, synthesizing 72 peer-reviewed sources published between 2000 and 2024. Using thematic analysis, the review was guided by Erikson’s psychosocial development theory, Gross’s process model of emotion regulation, and Baumrind’s parenting typology to identify key developmental mechanisms. Findings indicate that authoritarian parenting negatively affects children’s emotional development by limiting emotional awareness, expression, and regulatory flexibility. Children exposed to rigid and emotionally dismissive environments tend to rely on maladaptive strategies such as emotional suppression and avoidance, while demonstrating reduced use of cognitive reappraisal. These patterns are associated with increased risks of anxiety, aggression, and emotional dysregulation. Neurodevelopmental evidence further suggests heightened stress reactivity under such parenting conditions. These effects are particularly pronounced in collectivist cultures where strict parenting norms are socially reinforced. Authoritarian parenting disrupts key developmental processes related to autonomy, emotional agency, and adaptive regulation strategies. Although culturally normative in some contexts, its long-term implications remain detrimental to emotional competence. The study underscores the importance of promoting emotionally responsive and autonomy-supportive parenting practices, alongside culturally sensitive interventions to enhance early childhood emotional development.

Abstract

Teknologi mempengaruhi semua aspek pendidikan, termasuk bagaimana siswa melihat, mendengar, berbicara, dan berkomunikasi. Pendidikan tidak dapat lagi dipisahkan dari teknologi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana Instagram digunakan dalam mata kuliah Bahasa Inggris pada program studi Administrasi Bisnis di Universitas Dharmawangsa. Mahasiswa semester satu yang mengambil kelas Bahasa Inggris adalah subjek penelitian ini. Ada total 25 mahasiswa sebagai responden. Studi ini menggunakan wawancara terbuka, yang memungkinkan responden untuk menjawab pertanyaan dengan jelas dan menyeluruh sesuai dengan bagian mereka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa menggunakan akun Instagram siswa untuk belajar berbicara sangat membantu mereka. Sebagian besar dari mereka menyatakan bahwa siswa merasa percaya diri dalam berbicara bahasa Inggris, siswa lebih berkonsentrasi pada penggunaan grammar yang benar saat berbicara, siswa lebih mudah mengoreksi postingan temannya, dan siswa termotivasi untuk berbicara lebih jelas dan lancar setelah mendapatkan saran yang lebih tepat dari temannya.

Abstract

This study explores the lexical typology of Indonesian fables, examining the linguistic features that contribute to their narrative structure and cultural meaning. This research focuses on the use of motion verbs which are part of the lexical typology and analyzes how these literary devices convey moral lessons and cultural values. This research uses a qualitative method by analyzing a collection of Indonesian fables from various regions. This chapter identifies the most common lexical typological characteristics, including the movement verbs contained in them. Research findings show that many movement verbs in Indonesian fables convey moral lessons and cultural values. Idioms are also commonly used to add humour and cultural nuance to stories. This research aims to demonstrate the importance of lexical typology in understanding the narrative structure and cultural meaning of Indonesian fables, providing insight for linguists, anthropologists and educators interested in Indonesia's cultural heritage

Abstract

The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) has significantly transformed educational practices, including the way students engage in academic writing. AI-assisted tools such as ChatGPT, Grammarly, QuillBot, Gemini, and other AI-powered applications are increasingly being used by students to support various stages of the writing process. These technologies provide assistance in generating ideas, correcting grammar, improving vocabulary, organizing content, and revising written texts. As digital technologies become more integrated into students’ daily lives, understanding how learners experience the use of AI-assisted tools in academic writing has become an important area of educational research. Therefore, this study aims to explore the experiences of SMA Dharmawangsa students in using AI-assisted tools for academic writing, identify the perceived benefits and challenges, and examine students’ perspectives on the role of AI in supporting their writing development.This study employed a qualitative approach using a phenomenological research design. The participants were students of SMA Dharmawangsa who had experience using AI-assisted tools in completing academic writing tasks. Participants were selected through purposive sampling based on specific criteria relevant to the research objectives. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observations, and documentation. The data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, which involved data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. To ensure the trustworthiness of the findings, triangulation, member checking, and peer debriefing were applied.The findings revealed that students generally had positive experiences using AI-assisted tools in academic writing. Students perceived AI technologies as useful learning resources that helped them generate ideas, improve grammar and vocabulary, organize essays, and revise their writing more effectively. The use of AI-assisted tools also increased students’ confidence and supported independent learning by providing immediate feedback during the writing process. Furthermore, students reported that AI technologies helped them complete writing tasks more efficiently and reduced difficulties commonly encountered in academic writing. However, several challenges were identified, including the tendency to rely excessively on AI-generated content, concerns regarding the accuracy of information provided by AI systems, and uncertainty about the ethical boundaries of AI use in academic work. Despite these challenges, most participants recognized the importance of using AI responsibly and maintaining originality in their writing.The study concludes that AI-assisted tools have significant potential to support students’ academic writing development when used appropriately. AI technologies can enhance writing quality, foster learner autonomy, and increase engagement in writing activities. Nevertheless, effective use of AI requires students to critically evaluate AI-generated suggestions and maintain academic integrity. The study proposes the concept of Responsible AI-Assisted Academic Writing, which emphasizes the role of AI as a learning companion rather than a replacement for students’ critical thinking and writing abilities. The findings contribute to the growing body of research on artificial intelligence in education and provide practical insights for teachers, schools, and policymakers in promoting ethical and effective AI integration in academic writing instruction.
