Abstract

Technology in agriculture is something that cannot be separated from its application in the agricultural sector. The use of smartphones in soil pH measuring devices makes the measurement process faster, easier and more affordable. This research aims to develop a simple and affordable soil pH measuring tool for use by farmers in Tanggalrejo Village, Mojoagung, Jombang. The method approach taken for community service in Tanggalrejo Village is to use the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. One of them is by implementing training methods and approaches from local farmers so that indirectly farmers in Tanggalrejo Village can capture the material well. This tool is named "Soil pH Meter" and is designed to help farmers manage the quality of their soil. This research involves the steps of designing, prototyping, field testing, and evaluation. This tool has the potential to increase efficiency in farming and help farmers take appropriate actions to increase crop yields. Based on the results of this community service activity, it can provide an overview of the use of a pH meter for accurate and efficient soil pH monitoring by: (1) Providing understanding and practice in checking soil pH using a telegram monitoring pH meter to farmers in Tanggalrejo Village, so that the Farmers know the condition of bass or acid soil and can determine good and correct handling. (2) Provide understanding and explanation about the use of smartphones, that the soil pH monitoring tool via telegram can be checked via smartphones used by farmers in Tanggalrejo Village.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan di desa Johowinong kecamatan Mojoagumg Kabupaten Jombang, dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan wawasan pengetahuan tentang teknologi tepat guna pengukuran suhu dan kelembaban tanah. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada bulan September 2023 dengan menghadirkan Gapoktan dari desa Johowinong Mojoagung Jombnag. Jawa Timur. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini menggunakan metode ceramah, diskusi/tanya jawab, demonstrasi dan evaluasi untuk mengertahui kemampuan para petani dalam menerima pengetahuan teknologi tersebut . Kegiatan ini memperkenalkan alat sensor suhu dan kelembapan tanah, mencari komponen yang dibutuhkan yaitu NodeMCU ESP 8266, Soil Mosture Hygrometer Module (sensor kelembapan tanah), Sensor ds18b20 (sensor suhu tanah), mencari sampel tanah untuk menguji alat, dan aplikasi platform Blynk membantu menampilkan hasil pembacaan sensor Demonstrasi dilakukan kepada petani desa johowinong dan menjelaskan juga mengenai cara perancangan dan penggunaan alat, sehingga dapat membantu menampilkan hasil pembacaan sensor. Dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini diharapkan meningkatkan produktivitas dan pendapatan pertanian serta memberdayakan petani dengan pengetahuan dan keterampilan baru terkait teknologi. Dari hasil evaluasi setelah kegiatan hanya 2 peserta dari 12 peserta hadir yang sedikit mengetahui tentang teknologi dalam pertanian. Hal ini menunjukkan para peserta seminar sangat tertarik saat dilakukan demonstrasi dan tanya jawab, para petani membutuhkan informasi tentang cara menyuburkan tanah.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk memotiivasi masyarakat desa agar mampu untuk memahami dan mengelola teknologi informasi baru yang bisa diterapkan di desa, memberikan pemahaman dan solusi dari kurangnya perangkat keras yang diperlukan atau jaringan listrik yang tidak stabil, serta memberikan sosialisasi mengenai projek pembuatan lampu otomatis berbasis mikrokontroller, untuk mengatasi masalah teknis yang mungkin muncul dalam penggunakan teknologi. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan sosialisasi dan evaluasi. Program Kerja Sosialisasi Hasil Teknologi tepat guna alat Penerangan lampu otomatis bertempat di balai desa Balongsari Megaluh Jombang. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa Program teknologi tepat guna alat penerapan lampu otomatis berbasis mikrokontroller di balai desa Balongsari ini berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat tentang penggunaan teknologi tepat guna dalam penerangan lampu otomatis berbasis mikrokontroller. Pemahaman masyarakat meningkat secara signifikan, yang berdampak pada penggunaan energi yang lebih efisien. Alat Penerangan Lampu Otomatis telah menghasilkan penghematan energi di lokasi yang telah diimplementasikan. Penghematan ini berdampak pada pengurangan biaya energi bagi pemerintah desa dan meningkatkan penerangan di desa seperti panduan penggunaan dan pelatihan aparat desa, telah membantu memastikan keberlanjutan program ini di masa depan.

Abstract

This study provides information about the diversity of pests and predators on organic and non-organic in soybean plantations. This is expected as part of supporting the increase in soybean production in East Java. The diversity of pests and predators are not only influenced by organic or non-organic farming systems, but also on the types of plants being cultivated. Climate also affects the presence of pests and predators. Soybean plants which are included in subtropical plants, when cultivated in a tropical climate, their growth and development are strongly influenced by the tropical climate, which will have an impact on plant resistance to pest attacks. Predators are affected by the presence of pest attacks on their host plants. Meanwhile, the attraction of predators to come to the host plant can be caused by the emergence of volatile compounds released from the saliva of insect pests and also the interaction between these compounds and those released by plants when attacked by pests.

Abstract

Chili farming is a type of agriculture that brings in a lot of money and helps farmers earn more income. Pojok Hamlet, Klitih Village, Plandaan District, Jombang Regency is a place where the majority of the people are involved in farming chilies. But farmers still have many issues that impact how much they can produce and how well their businesses run. This research looks into how productive chili farming is and finds out the challenges that farmers face. The research used a qualitative descriptive approach. The research area was chosen on purpose, and the people involved were selected through a snowball sampling method, which included 26 chili farmers. The main information came from interviews and watching things happen on-site, and the additional information was gathered from books and other places where similar information is kept. The data analysis involved a descriptive analysis that included looking at farm costs, revenues, incomes, and the return to cost ratio. The results indicate that growing chili in Pojok Hamlet is a good financial decision because the return on capital is more than one. Productivity depends on the size of the land, the types of seeds used, and how the production is managed. Main problems are changing prices, harm from bugs and illnesses, weather that isn't reliable, and not enough money.   Keywords: chili farming; productivity; R/C ratio; agribusiness; farm feasibility

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the distribution of the golden apple snail (Pomacea canaliculata) and its ecological associations during the rice harvest stage (Oryza sativa L.) in Sumberaji Village, Kabuh District, Jombang Regency. Fieldwork was conducted from May to June 2025 using a descriptive quantitative design. Data were collected through purposive sampling across four observation plots, each measuring one square meter. Statistical analysis included Pearson correlation to assess the relationship between environmental variables and snail abundance, while the distribution patterns of temperature and pH were evaluated using the Chi-Square Goodness of Fit test. A total of fourteen individuals were recorded across all plots, resulting in an average density of 0.875 individuals per square meter. The highest abundance was observed in the second plot, where water temperature and pH were within the optimal ecological range. The lowest abundance occurred in the fourth plot, with only one individual recorded. Correlation analysis revealed no significant relationship between environmental factors and snail abundance (r = –0.28 for temperature; r = –0.31 for pH; p > 0.05). The Chi-Square test results indicated that the distribution of temperature (χ² = 0.097; p > 0.05) and pH (χ² = 0.065; p > 0.05) did not differ significantly from an even distribution pattern. These findings indicate that temperature and pH conditions at the study site were relatively homogeneous across plots and did not represent dominant determinants of golden apple snail distribution. Other ecological variables, including food availability, vegetation structure, and biotic interactions, are likely to exert a stronger influence on population variability.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat pada skema PPM ini diharapkan dapat memberikan hasil yang terbaik untuk masyarakat sasaran yang dikenai program. Permasalahan pertama adalah kendala para pelaku UMKM Desa Gondangmanis untuk memasarkan produknya terutama pada pemasaran online. Solusi yang diberikan adalah melalui sosialisasi dan pelatihan Marketing. Hasil penilaian pelatihan digital marketing menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan peserta UMKM dalam memahami penyampaian informasi tentang Marketing Digital 100% paham, sedangkan kemampuan bermedia sosial 80% dan kemampuan memanfaatkan media sosial sebagai marketing digital hanya 40% dan dari quisioner tersebut para pelaku UMKM memberikan jawaban mengenai barang atau produk yang cocok untuk dijual yaitu kuliner 60%, fashion 20%, kosmetik 12% dan pertanian 8%.

Abstract

Pelepah pisang banyak ditemukan di Desa Bedah Lawak yang masih dianggap limbah oleh masyarakat di sana.  Dalam rangka memanfaatkan limbah tersebut agar bernilai ekonomi maka perlu dilakukan pemberdayaan remaja putrid melalui pelatihan pembuatan kotak tisu dari pelepah pisang. Kegiatan pengabdian ini menggunakan pendekatan dengan metode ceramah untuk memberikan wawasan ilmu manfaat dari pelepah pisang. Selanjutnya dilakukan pelatihan dan pendampingan pembuatan kotak tisu dengan bahan utama pelepah pisang.  Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa para remaja putri mampu meningkatkan ketrampilan dan kreatifitas dengan nilai rata-rata 88, kemampuan pemanfaatan barang bekas sebesar 83 serta informasi pemahaman tentang kerajinan sebesar 75. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan ini memberikan manfaat yang sangat baik dan membuka peluang ekonomi yang cukup besar bagi masyarakat desa.

Abstract

Irrigation is one of the important elements in agriculture, especially in rice fields. Irrigation makes water more available to plants and can increase yields. Therefore, irrigation efficiency and monitoring are important to support agricultural productivity. Looking at the rapid development of technology utilization, it is also needed to help irrigation managers at the Department of Agriculture to collect data systematically. One of them is creating a data collection system in a more modern way. regarding the case of irrigation managers at the Department of Agriculture who have so far been using manual methods. The purpose of this study is to design an Information System for recording the area of ​​rice field irrigation. The SDLC (System development life cycle) method is used with a Waterfall process model: analysis, design, code generation, testing, and support. This system is created using PHP and MySQL programs, Google Chrome software, XAMPP, and MySQL database. The results of the study show that the designed system can help facilitate data collection on the area of ​​rice field irrigation at the Department of Agriculture, Jombang Regency. Abstract

This study aims to design and build a sensor device that can measure carbon dioxide (CO2) gas levels in Islamic boarding schools and universities using the MQ-135 sensor and Arduino microcontroller. The research methods used include designing hardware and software that can detect and display CO2 levels in real-time. This tool is designed by utilizing the MQ-135 sensor connected to the Arduino microcontroller, equipped with an LCD screen to display the measurement results. Testing was carried out to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the tool in measuring CO2 levels. In addition, this tool is also designed to provide notification if CO2 levels exceed the specified safe limit. The results of the study showed that the designed tool successfully detected CO2 levels well and provided accurate readings. The notifications provided by the tool also functioned effectively, providing early warning to residents when CO2 levels increased. The results of the tool test showed that this sensor tool can be an effective solution for monitoring indoor air quality and helping to maintain the health of residents. Further implementation and testing in various environmental conditions are recommended to improve the performance and reliability of this tool. Thus, this sensor device can provide greater benefits in maintaining air quality and health in the household environment.
